Let me first start by saying, I get it, it's an entry level job for most of these kids, but you would think the acting manager on duty should at least have some grasp on common sense. I got off work on 12/10/25 and made it to the door 3 minutes late with a tiny, but urgent scanning task (that would have literally taken me a couple of minutes to complete at self serve and leave) probably before the others inside even finished with their own tasks. This manager walks up to the door, I humbly explain to her the urgency of my situation (4 pages to scan to submit for a pending mortgage loan. I beg and plead, but all I got from her was "I'm sorry, but we just closed." Maybe it's just me, but It was 8:03pm and even a few customers inside came up to her with disbelief. But she was pretty firm and would not have it any other way. Really FedEx? Has the candidate pool gotten this shallow? You certainly picked a winner with this one. I didn't catch her name, but she should stand up and take a bow, as she single-handedly chased a regular customer away for life. People generally review the extremely good and the pathetically bad, because they were emotionally moved by a standout employee. This piece of work must have fallen asleep during her orientation. Clearly clueless about Customer Service, the notion of going above and beyond the call of duty to shine like a star during a customer's desperate moment. The other reviews speak for themselves. Just some food for thought for the top brass, who will hopefully stumble upon this scenario from an ex-customer's perspective and perhaps consider investing in a little more training - at the very least - about common courtesy. I needed to copy, fax, and mail everything, and after loading $100 into the machine, it suddenly locked me out and prompted me to reload. Zoey came to the rescue! She jumped right in -- copying, sorting, and managing the entire job as if I were a company client. Thanks to her (and Amy, too), I was able to get everything mailed, scan and email my documents, and still make it to dinner with my son that evening. Went in to get a quick scan of an old photo for a project I'm working on. I asked if they could do a high resolution scan and the person behind the counter said I could do it on the copier machines. I went over to one and before I could even get my credit card in, the employee appeared again to walk me through it. Not that I couldn't figure it out on my own, but it was nice that they tried to offer some customer support. So that's where the second star comes in for trying to help. However, when I looked at the scan in my email, it really wasn't the high resolution I needed. I needed something around 800-1200 dpi. The copiers can only go up to 400. I showed it to the employee and they declared that it should be high enough. I'm a graphic designer with a photography background and I know what resolution I need to produce a quality design. The employee said that even their behind-the-counter scan only goes up to 600 dpi. FedEx shouldn't advertise that they can do photo scans if they can't even produce something that looks better than taking it with my phone. read more

Why is your delivery unreliable, why are your drivers unable to get into my building? Amazon can manage it. Why can't you? Okay, enough fun. Seriously though, this location is just like every other FedEx location. It's not the people who work here's fault, it's just that FedEx is not a great company. She was pretty patient with me and my wife as we were sending a lot of stuff to our family member in Hawaii. She packaged our stuff herself into 4 different boxes and helped us nicely and professionally. This location has a clerk named Andres. He is extremely rude and unhelpful. Suggested me to leave and go home and had zero suggestions to wrap my package that only required tape. He seemed he didn't desire to assist me at all. When I asked if he had tape, he reluctantly retrieved the tape from the next room and would not allow me to dispense the strip to close the package. This guy is bad for your business when he is required to assist customers. Should be removed from counter service. On the same visit Gina was very polite and helpful. Took time to assist me with pre scanning my package. read more

Had to return and item and didn't have a printer so went there I could send the label from my phone to the copy machine and it printed out and went out in less than 5 minutes. Easy and quick service. read more

I called to clarify about sending a small package to China prior to driving over there. The guy when I called said I did not need an EEI number. Upon arrival someone clearly fed up with her job guides me to the counter. Is really not personable at all. Already uncomfortable. Then tells me I need this number and as I'm explaining the phone call she cuts me off mid sentence and says "as I was saying you need an eei number and you have to fill out a form online etc". It wasn't busy in there. No line. Maybe having a bad day but I won't be returning to this location. No reason to be short and rude on something that is clearly confusing. I also called in advance to save myself a wasted trip. Update: I just called the number on the card she gave me. I do not need an eei number. I could have looked at a simple sheet while in the store online and chose the correct exemption #. Commodities under $2500 can use 30.37(a). So now I have to make a separate trip because she didn't take two minutes to hear me out about it being under $2500. Regardless, still no reason to be short and rude. I did not walk in with a bad attitude. Take your business elsewhere. read more

Had a fantastic experience with Annika, who went out of her way to accommodate my shipment this evening. I had a stack of boxes that took up the entire cart that were going to different destinations across the country, but she handled them quickly and professionally without missing a beat. The entire experience was better than I had expected and the value provided was great for the services requested. Scotty was also very helpful, noticing a box I had left on the counter that needed to be brought into the group with the others. The store was clean, easily accessible, and landmarks made it clear where the shipping area was located. I did not have to wait for assistance and I am grateful to Annika and Scotty for doing such an amazing job in helping me with the shipment. Thank you to the team at this fedEx location! My experience here has always been good. I love the communication here. I have received phone calls when there were issues with my order, and it is easy for me to always get someone on the phone. I rarely have to wait in line, and my order is always easily found and ready to go. I always order online and pick up with store and have never had an issue. I get my email when my order is ready and boom! There have been times when I have called to see if my order could be ready earlier than the estimated time and they have always come through for me. My jobs always look good. I've experienced great service here, but I do find that sometimes the workers are distracted/on their phones or can be a little grumpy. We all have bad days. That doesn't phase me because their work speaks for itself! Thanks to the team at this FedEx location! read more

DO NOT SHIP TO THIS BRANCH! Recently shipped a long box that was just supposed to be a regular drop off with a label already paid then whoever the girl was at the counter had the nerve to say the box wasn't acceptable for shipping just because it had a slight bulge even though the box was already properly taped and secured. So she charged me to buy another one of their boxes for extra charge. I've shipped many times here before and even with the post office and UPS and they always accepted any shape/form of boxes no matter the condition. Never going to ship to this branch or even consider FedEx anymore! read more

The print and go wasn't working. I've used it multiple times in the past and tried different methods to try and get a confirmation code to print my documents. Literally no one wanted to help and the girl that did tried her best to get out of it. Then I was charged a premium and the other woman had an attitude about it. read more

FedEx Van Nuys is a local FedEx I use sparingly... They have an easy entrance in a shared parking lot plaza with BevMo, PetCo and a few other businesses off of Sepulveda and Hatteras literally diagonal from Target. The inside as well as the out is usually pretty tidy and clean... I recommend for simple easy FedEx needs especially quick shipping, printing and/or copies... Someone mentioned the convenience of how efficient and easy it is when working remote and I will say that's 110 percent true as we had a printer fail at home and were able to get the pages we needed in a minute after we popped in. The customer service is okay though lackluster for those photos... FedEx isn't the best for photos of any kind especially not passport and that's where they fall flat... It's not their "signature menu item" but it's still on their menu of services and they absolutely should "make the meal" just as well as any other. Getting out of the lot during peak hours can be a challenge unless exiting from Hatteras, but it's doable either way. Open from 8 to 8 during the week and until 6pm on weekends. read more

This review is in regards to the Printing Department specifically, and for Zoe who helped me [literally] all day. I uploaded 3 different files onto office.fedex.com and there are 3 steps to submitting an order. First, you need to select a store, then confirm your pickup information if you aren't shipping. Honey gave me a discount code that was accepted by the FedEx system, but it wouldn't let me progress to the 2nd step and I tried different browsers, reuploading, and spent 30 minutes trying to figure out why...then, I took the promo code off. I was able to go through Step 2 which was payment. The 3rd step was reviewing and there was one final time I could put the promo code. I tried again. I was not able to submit the order no matter how many times I tried. I called this location, and Zoe picked up. She told me I could send the files to her via email along with a screenshot of the code processed on the website, but since the rates are a bit different from online and the store, she would have to check with management to see if they could honor it. She called me back after 20-30 minutes to let me know they could honor the deal, and that the designated time for 10AM the next morning would be accurate for pick up. Later that day, around 6 PM I called to ask about the process of the prints [most days this location does print fast, so I didn't think it could hurt to check]. Zoe picked up and I was happy to speak with a familiar voice. She said prints were ready and I asked if I could stop by to check the quality. Yes! I stopped by and I had a feeling one of my prints was going to be too dark. I was right - I brought a USB stick with backup art, but the 3 computers we tried to load the files on would pop in and out. She was able to pull the folder off in a second and worked with me for a good 30 minutes to print out another version [more like 5] because I wanted the right contrast for my artwork - as well as doing a double-sided page to make a card for someone. She even helped me score it for a neat fold [otherwise the edges would crack the print since it was laser on card-stock] after I cut the edges to make sure it was perfect. This is above and beyond what any of the staff has ever done more me and I've been coming in about every 2 months for the last 3 years. Thank you Zoe for your patience and kindness! Do NOT use this FedEx store. The employees are not helpful in the slightest way, and the equipment does not work efficiently, or at all in some cases. If you need to purchase a roll of tape or possibly some staples, then maybe use this store; but I would still recommend going across the street to target as you will find items for a great deal less price. The FedEx Store on Ventura at Hayvenhurst is clean, and the staff are always happy to assist you with any issues that you may have. Drive yourself the extra 5 minutes and avoid this store like the plague. I would like to award this store 0 stars, but unfortunately life isn't fair, just like the fact that I had to endure the hour of hell inside of this store with the imbecilic staff and manager. How a large corporation like FedEx provides no prerequisite to work in their facilities is simply baffling. A true testament to the fast decline in customer service in our society. Here I am again throwing good karma right back on the incredible energy I receive at the FedEx office print and ship Center In Van Nuys. I wish I had more projects that I could go there every day with and visit these wonderful people. Everyone. Haven't seen Raven in a while but she has her finger on the pulse of everyone who walks in. And Zoe...can never say enough about Zoe...I hadn't been there since last year and yesterday as I enter the store looks up at and yells 'Steve!' Such good and positive energy, and she treats everyone that way. Heart of gold and right there when you need some custom made or have a question. Again...like family. Thank you Zoe, always. I mostly go there to have posters made for my art, and have a lot of them transferred to canvas...and for me, the artist on the block in that department is Mauricio. He's not only quick and easy to talk to, when I throw him a curve ball as to how I want something made (on canvas), he nods like he's read my mind already and offers me a selection of options that my request may be realized. And when I come back to pick up the next day I am always blown away at what's he's created for me. I suspect he is an artist as well.
