I think this Staples could use a really deep clean; but, the parking is abundant because it's in a stripmall!

However, the truck was back at the terminal by 6 PM with my letter on board each day. Fedex customer support said I could not pick up the letter in person until they had attempted 3 deliveries. We will never use Fedex again. And, by the way, they said they will not automatically refund our money for this TERRIBLE service.

I toured ECO Maine today and I must say it is an…read moreamazing place.when you first enter the lot, you notice bales of plastic, metal cardboard and paper. Did you know that there are seven different types of plastic am that can be recycled. I also learned that until recently we shipped all of our bales of paper to China. They aren't taking any paper now, however ECO Maine is hoping they open up again soon, as they are storing all the paper at the plant. bext, We toured the facility itself and what a remarkable place. You see conveyors moving items arond. You see magnets attracting metal. You see air puffing only on certain types of plastic containers separating them. You even see people hand separating the items. My biggest thrill out of all there dynamic machines was the front loader pushing and lifting recycled items onto the conveyor belt. I just brought the kid out of me as I remembered playing with those Tonka Trucks. As the tour wound down I saw where all the trash ends up. It gets put in a hopper that is six, count them, six stories high. There the trash falls into one of two incinerators that heats up to 18,000 degrees Fahrenheit and burns into an ash. Unfortunately, no one has invented a good use for this ash, so it simply gets put in a land fill. This tour has opened my eyes as to how much goes into my recycles and trash once they leave my curb. I will certainly work hard at making sure items end up where they are supposed to!

I had chosen to pick through and purchase some coins in their "world silver coin" box, but I (after purchasing a large number) have disappointingly found a few coins that aren't silver at all - but copper nickel. Their pricing on this box was also very loose with the cashier taking a "rough mental average" of the purity of the coins and adding a "small" premium over spot. While I should've known better to pick only coins I'm familiar with and trusting this undisclosed "small premium", they shouldn't have had any non-silver coinage in the silver coinage bin. I'm sure it would be a headache, but separating the world coins based on purity and not a "rough average" would provide a MUCH better experience for the customer.

This UPS is in a highly trafficked area of Portland and parking is DIFFICULT. It's a smaller UPS compared to many others, so it can get congested with customers quickly; like just three or four people and it feels claustrophobic. The store is usually very clean. And when there's no one else in line, you can get in and out very quickly. It's easy to drop off prepaid boxes (though there's not a lot of counter space; one big box and you'll have to start stacking), it's easy to have them scan/process QR codes for Amazon returns, it's easy to email the store for prints (and they're super patient helping with that). The biggest issue is their staffing. Sometimes there's only one person working (it's infrequent that there's anyone within sight when I first enter the store; sometimes the person in the back will shout-out a greeting though)!. Picture this - because it happens often here -: three customers (one who needs thirty prints in color, one who doesn't really have their box taped or even the address they were sending their cookies to, one who needs to just drop off a return) all walk in at the same time vs one employee. Let's be patient and appreciative out there, folks. Open 7:30am to 6pm Monday through Friday; open at 10am to 4pm on Saturdays. Closed on Sundays.
