I'm in Torrance about every 6 months for work conferences, and I always hit this store. They have low and high end clothing, bags, and shoes. I went on a Sunday didn't find anything I loved, went back on Tuesday and scored a Louis Vuitton weekender bag. They even told me I had store credit from a previous visit that I forgot about, and I also had a coupon on my account for 20 percent off. I got to use a coupon on a Louis Vuitton bag! I would definitely come back here again. The clothes that they sell are in great condition. The customer service was phenomenal. They saw me carrying a bunch of items, and they offered a basket. Pretty disappointed in my experience. 45 min wait, which is fine because they were busy. Was offered about $27 for 4 items, Stella McCartney rain boots, A black Calvin Klein button up, a Zara laced romper, & a black and gold Zara blazer. Excellent condition items. I had a bag full of other items such as a Levi denim shirt, a zara dress, & another zara blouse that was not accepted. The guy who offered this amount called my blazer a "cardigan" and did not seem knowledgeable in fashion/clothing. Online says they usually offer more for brands like "Zara" and etc but feel extremely low balled and only 2 of my Zara pieces received offers. As for my rain boots, I understand that they said it doesn't rain in So cal much but they shouldn't have offered so low, instead I rather have just heard that they wouldn't accept my item for these reasons. I seen clothing for sale that were stained, yet they surprisingly didn't accept most of my items that were only worn once. read more

1st time ever selling clothes and this was a great place to do business with. First off I want to shout out that they have a huge beautiful LGBTQ Flag proudly displayed in the front window! Love a business that's not afraid to show what they believe in! 2nd- the staff is soooo friendly and helpful. I dropped off some clothes I wanted to sell, but when I returned, the owner outwardly and incessantly accused me of stealing merchandise years ago solely based on my flagged account. She then for some reason pulled up an unrelated photo of someone from a completely SEPARATE theft incident who vaguely resembled me, as if to prove a point. She's not racist, but she loudly convinced herself and others around that I was a thief, clinging to a "Because the computer told me so" mindset. I gave multiple confused looks and repeatedly asked for actual evidence, but was ultimately just waiting for her to come to her senses. I wasn't in a hurry to leave, I was furiously standing in the stench of her misguided confidence. Unfortunately, her last brain cell was working overtime, and couldn't put two and two together. Eventually, through her sources, after confirming that someone else had stolen my identity/account, she STILL had the nerve to defend herself by jokingly saying that my initial reaction was "suspicious", implying that I somehow further fueled the situation. There was nothing to prove, so I had nothing to say while enduring harassment by an incoherent person. After a quick apology, she went back to being her smug self. Meanwhile, the staff stayed professional and composed lol. Their overreliance on a fast and loose customer account system and the owner's bizarre attitude made the experience incredibly frustrating + this ALL happened in front of my f grandma. It's obvious not to do business here, go to the shop across the street instead. Sorry you've had issues with theft, but it's time to review your own policies instead of blindly blaming others. read more

I came in today with a large Chewy box full of nice items in excellent condition. I only got $30, and they barely took anything. No clothing at all. When I asked what they kept they pointed out some jewelry and a Coach bag. Similar to what other Yelpers have posted, my things were WAY nicer than a lot of the items in there (items from WHBM, Calvin Klein, etc. barely worn once), so I was surprised that this was the outcome. Before writing this review, I looked at some of the others, and I relate a lot to Donyale's experience. I regret letting this sale go through because parting with the Coach bag for that price really hurts, but it's over at this point. At the end they asked me if I wanted to haul my giant box home or donate it, so I just donated it. They said they would send me a receipt to my email for the donated items, which normally I don't care about, but I checked just to see because I felt really shitty about this whole experience. The email said # of items donated: 2. 2?!?! It was a WHOLE LARGE CHEWY BOX FULL. I emailed about the error, so we'll see the response, but needless to say I'm not impressed and definitely won't be back. As mentioned by others it's a complete waste of time. I get this is a business and needs to make a profit, so I understood I wasn't going to get a whole bunch of money for everything, but I definitely expected more than $30, just for the Coach bag. I was looking for a 90s-inspired preppy grunge look for my friend's birthday party. So, I came into Uptown and left happily! First, it was CLEAN. I've been to vintage places and they wreaked of mold or smelly clothes. But not here, at all. Clothes smelled super clean, the dressing room was spotless, and the store was organized and clean. The reason I mention cleanliness is that it speaks volumes about how they care for their business and customers. It's fashion and must be presentable. Waste of my time. Took them an hour to look through the stuff I wanted to sell just to give me $6 for two shirts. More than half my bag was good quality clothes. I even had many Disney shirts that looked brand new and a leather jacket that also looked new. Even when I walked in the girl looked annoyed that I had a big bag. WHICH WAS MOSTLY AIR. She proceeded to tell me they only take kitchen size bags. Keep in mind the bag was half empty. I just needed a bag to put everything in. Then she was a lot nicer to everyone else but me. I walked in and she just looked annoyed by my presence. I spent the hour walking around the store. And half the stuff they had in the floor was ugly 2000s looking stuff and I'm still in disbelief that they didn't take half of my stuff that looked a lot better than the stuff they had on the floor. I left this review so others can be aware that they need to be extra careful with authenticity when shopping at your store. Simple as that. People have a right to voice their experience, bad or good. That is what Yelp is for, and I hope this review helps someone who wants to shop with you in the future. Honestly if I'd seen the way you respond to people here before I went to your store, I would have just stayed away entirely. It's a red flag to see the owner of a business so pressed and attempting to emotionally manipulate customers into removing legitimate reviews. Good luck with that! This business unfortunately sells fakes as the real thing. I bought a pair of of what I thought were Rothy flats, since that was what their tag named them as. When I got home I realized they were fakes after looking up the signs online (the pair I bought state Made in USA, and all REAL Rothy's are made in Dongguan, China). Of course I could have spent more time looking up signs of fakes in the store but I stupidly trusted the store to be honest about what they were selling. If I were at an actual thrift store, I would spend the time in-store to do my own due diligence, but I expected that paying the higher price at this business meant I didn't need dig as much into the authenticity. By far the worst place ever I came to sell my things at 4:11pm on 1-4-2025. They donated two bags of my things and informed me that I said to donate on the phone. There was no sympathy for there blatant mistake for mislabeling my bag. They seemed flustered when I came in because of the lack of communication and mislabeling bags i'm assuming. My girlfriend and I came in and had two seperate selling bags. How can you donate two seperate bags when we verbally said on the phone we will be there after the mall. Because I didn't come back in 10 minutes they donated my things. I called after leaving and They also placed me on hold but I could over hear them talking about me on the phone. They said they verbally said on the phone "pick up your stuff in 10minutes." They didn't they lied . I set a timer on my phone for 2 hours and we came back before my timer went off and they still decided to donate my things. The lady on the phone kept cutting me off and saying "we did say 10 minutes we did" Very unprofessional staff. They're all super young and they lack empathy. read more
