Now I need to find a new regular coffee shop. I was coming here almost every day but not any more. The girl clerk called out to me specifically, said "did you park back here? (In the shop's lot)" I said yeah (that's where customers are supposed to park). She said, "they're taking your car" so I ran out to the lot and nothing was happening. I was with a friend who wanted to try Armenian coffee, and it was already past 8 PM, where a lot of places are closed. I saw Uptown was open, so decided to try that. It was great! In addition to a great coffee menu, and a cozy indoor area, they also had plenty of outdoor seating and parking was super easy with a grocery store next door. I didn't order one, but they have amazing looking desserts, too. Next time for sure. That salted caramel cheesecake will be mine. read more

I have only gone during daytime but I am excited to see when they have live music because I did see a band set up. I hope they can post when there will be live music soon. This place was definitely worth a cheatday. An Armenian owned coffee shop in Glendale. uptown.coffee has some amazing drinks and grub. Their caramel ice blended was so much better than Starbucks! Less artificial flavoring but still has a kick! The crepe, SO WORTH IT! Not burned, perfect condiments (banana and Strawberries) and not messy. NEXT TIME I'm going for the oreo version! I asked her for a coffee recommendation and she suggested a raspberry latte, said it tasted like raspberry ice cream. Boy was she right. It tasted like raspberry ice cream with a hint of coffee. I just left this coffee shop & I honestly was really excited bc I saw really good rates... So I went in with my bf & we were really friendly with the cashier & even had a good laugh with some of the girls in the back working. But the guy in the hat was extremely rude & he completely ripped us off saying that it was buy one get one free.. For the pastries, I realized at the end he made me pay for 4 pastries when really we just wanted 1. he wasn't specific about the drinks & gave us a tiny shot of expresso instead of the whole coffee cup. I asked for a pumpkin spice latte & they made it so sweet it made my gums hurt, I couldn't even drink it . Then I asked for the wifi password bc I was gonna start my homework & the same guy told me... "the wifi stops working after 7" I was honestly so hurt that I just left.. the guava & cheese pastry was the only good thing about my experience here. I'm also not an angry person, but I am very sensitive & I really do my best to be so kind to everyone & I get that sometimes workers will have a bad day, trust me I understand personally. But don't let it out on other guests & rip people off by lying & mess up our orders.. there wasn't even coffee filled up the whole way. Was in the area and was craving an iced latte. Found this gem. It was easy to find and one of the few coffee shops that stays open later (9:30 pm) which is so appreciated. The inside is adorable and they have many coffee options. I want to try their Armenian coffee next time I go. They also had several flavor options for the latte. I just went traditional. The barista was friendly and made my latte quickly so I could get my coffee fix. She even gave me a Lindor chocolate with my order. Such a nice touch. Because of covid, there is no inside seating. However, they had plenty of tables outside. If you're craving a treat, they have sandwiches, crepes, or even gelato. Really pleased to have found this cute little spot. read more

Came here on a Tuesday morning for a quick cup of coffee. I was hoping they would have a drop coffee since it was 9 am, but they only had pour over. I wont complain if someone is going to charge me the same price for a pour over as a drip coffee. They serve an armenian coffee, which i have no idea where they source it from. I tried to ask a few questions about the coffee, but I got a lot of shrugs and i felt like they didnt want to be bothered. After paying for my coffee, which was almost $5, I waited. The pour over took around 5 minutes to make, which was not the most opportune time since I was in a rush. After getting the coffee, I took a sip and it tasted pretty meh. The coffee honestly tasted like the beans were stale and old. I felt like I couldve gotten better coffee from another cafe. This place had such good reviews, so I was pretty disappointed to say the least. I get that this is LA, but if i'm going to pay a premium price for a coffee, I expect coffee that is more dynamic in flavor and has somewhat distinguishable notes. I wouldn't go here during busy times like noon to early afternoon though. Drink (& Pricing): I tried their Iced Americano. Taste was, just like any other iced americano tbh. That said, I have yet to come across a coffee shop that makes a significant difference in this line of coffee. Price was on par with other coffee shops in the area. No complaints here. Indoor seating: This is where it killed me. It was 95 degrees outside that day. Inside, I didn't measure the temperature but it was so hot that after about 20 minutes I lost my focus to do my work. I certainly don't expect the Starbucks class Arctic atmosphere where people freeze to death during hot weather from local coffee shops like this. But, even compared to other local coffee shops in the area, it was too hot inside. Wish it was cooler.
