As usual, we were looking for a place to do work and decided to try this place. It's not very large but still has plenty of seating! About 9 tables and 3-4 outlets. The free wifi also worked well. Iced latte was pretty good but there was a LOT of ice in it. It tasted fine though. They have a solid selection of pastries but kinda expensive in my opinion, so didn't try any. Super cute coffee shop in the heart of glendale. Being a coffee snob, I get excited to try new coffee shops. As soon as I walked in, I felt at home. They had a little cute band set up by the window (I wonder if they ever have live music), they had plenty of comfy seating, and staff were all very friendly. I was able to get work done on my laptop, which was a plus. There was also plenty of parking. Only down fall for me was that as soon as I left and hopped on the freeway my tire popped, and I waited 3 hours for a tow truck :( Anyways, with that said, I will return if I am in the Glendale area and try the pastries. Uptown charges $5+ for these and come to find out it tasted bitter and old and was hard as a rock. No managers on duty. Poorly run establishment. Maybe you should stop focusing on playing JAZZ in the corner and focus on delivering fresh product that you're charging lots of money for. HORRIBLE. read more

I don't know who's eating/drinking here and would rate it 5 starts yall must be blind and deaf in ur tastebuds. Food is mediocre got the breakfast burrito with sausage and bacon. There was literally one piece of hot dog sliced in half and one piece of bacon. Cmon guys do we need to do the social media challenge here. The coffee tasted worse than the burrito. Using some old nasty espresso beans that leave a terrible aftertaste no matter how much sugar they load up in the cafecito. Even after asking it to get remade. Workers were super nice and definitely underplayed but they have no control over that's they showed great service. Ambiance is great but what's the point when you're serving low quality food/drink. So as it turns out, my obsession with trying new coffeeshops hasn't gone away just because I reached 100 already. I mean, you would think right? Haha. Anyways, that brings me to Uptown. I was in the area and, per usual, in desperate need of caffeine when I discovered this little coffeeshop just down the street. I ordered a pumpkin spice latte, and though I liked the flavor well enough (they use monin syrups which is the brand I prefer if a coffeeshop is not making their own), the coffee itself was weak. Maybe it's the beans they use? I'm not sure but the espresso was average, and wasn't rich or smooth like what you would expect from quality coffee. At least that was my opinion - do with it what you will. read more

I had a matcha latte -- a little on the sweet side and they even reduced the amount of powder for mine . The pastries looked really good - not sure if they make them in house or not - didn't ask . After my terrible drink from another shop earlier in the day, I had to get my caffeine fix before I head home from work. Noticed that Uptown was fairly new and decided to check out this spot. Very spacious and clean with an automatic hand sanitizer dispenser next to register. They serve a wide range of good eats such as pastries, ice cream, sandwiches and coffee. I ordered my usual drink a vanilla iced latte that was perfect and made up my terrible drink from the morning. Ratio of vanilla syrup to milk to espresso was on point. I had the buttered croissant and they had it warmed up for me. Super flakey and crispy on the outside and fluffy yet perfectly moist inside... He also had us try his new cold brew concoction sweetened with sugar cane - absolute perfection! Sweet without the sugary aftertaste you get from most flavored lattes. Stumbled upon this coffee shop on a trip to the Burbank IKEA. Was craving some coffee and a snack....but got way more than expected! I got a iced americano with a splash of Oat milk. They didn't charge extra for milk which was nice and the coffee was spectacular. I'm not sure what kind of roast it was cause I'm not really a coffee snob, but it was the kind where you go "Omg. This is delicious." Then I made a last minute decision to try a sandwich --but I wanted it on a croissant. When I asked the girl at the counter, she told me they make all their sandwiches on croissants! When they brought the sandwich out I was overwhelmed it was HUGE and presented beautifully. Great little coffee place with a lot of options for drinks! Loved the vanilla iced coffee I had, and the eggs and croissant! They had originally forgotten to make the food portion (which I wasn't upset about because I had plenty of time to kill) but as soon as I told them they were right on top of it. They were also kind enough to refund me for it and gave me a chocolate croissant as well. They really didn't need to because I wasn't upset at all but it was a really nice gesture and I wouldn't say no to a free chocolate croissant. Def will be back! read more
