Made it back in recently. A visit many years ago had food so "meh" that my husband called it "that tator tot place" after. Not a compliment. This time I got their smoked & fried turkey sandwich with a side of brussels and both were really good. Probably the best brussel sprouts at any local joint - I think the vinaigrette and little sweet peppers tame the natural funk enough to make them crave-able. Great flavors in the sandwich too. Of course, I had a flight or beer, so half the sandwich and a few sprouts went back home. Hubby polished it off with compliments, so no longer the "tator tot" place. Been in twice more since. Service at the bar has been excellent 2x and ok the third. The beer selection is great, even including some AR beers outside of NWA that I had not heard of. Beertenders are knowledgeable about the pours. Only notable downside is the price points. I know everything is high, but $11 for an 8 oz pour of a higher ABV beer is out of whack. I don't expect airport prices at a local joint. Happy Hour is 20% off, bringing our 2 pours to "only" $17.60. I don't know how you would know the price of any beer before ordering, so buyer beware.

I found Uptown on Yelp and was super stoked to try it. This seemed to be a cool place when we first walked in. The restaurant wasn't too loud with a comfortable vibe, an impressive tap list and a decent menu. The server was friendly but not very visible. The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived with only the booths taken and one other table. Sadly, it took OVER an hour to get our food and when we did, the Mac n cheese was cold. Like, super duper cold. By that time, several large tables were seated AND served...Since our server was nowhere to be seen we couldn't send it back - and after sitting over an hour while stopping by on a long road trip, my husband ate it anyway. The Brewban was a good Reuben. The kraut was tasty and the portion enough to share. My son got the Philly Cheesesteak and tots and he ate it all. The timing of the food (we were over an hour late getting to our destination), inattentive server, and the skillet mac contributed to the rating. I'd love to give them another try if we lived in the area, but wouldn't risk it while on the road. The server comped the skillet Mac without being asked, but honestly we just wanted hot food served hot.

I'm new to the area, thought I would check out a few places. Uptown Kitchen is one of them. I sat at the bar and was shocked to see so many beers on tap! I had no idea what to order. Josh, my bartender suggested that I try the "flight" of beer! I got to pick five beers so, I picked ones I'd never had before. I ended up adding a cider to my flight. I got totally hooked on the Black Apple, Hibiscus!! - I will for sure go checkout the brewery!! - I'm a vegetarian, so I ordered the Mushroom Impossible Burger w/ fries. It was freaking great! I went back two days later and ordered it again. lol!! Not even joking! So good! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I found my new place to hang out![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I come here for lunch with my friends occasionally and it's always great! They have a great selection of appetizers that are perfect to order a few and share. I tried their skillet Mac the last time and it was yummy! Great beer and wine selection and great service!

Great beer selection, very nice to find browns, stouts and barrel aged on draught! The food is good and well prepared, not quite "Gastropub" but as close as I've found in NWA. Definitely a place to take my beer aficionado ("snob :-)") friends so we can enjoy a beer and a meal. read more

I've been here twice in a week now, first time I tried it I went back like the next day. The people working here are really friendly and helpful. And cool. They have like a ton of beers, most of them local, and even if you don't like beer they have some wine and cocktail options too. The food is amazing. So far I've like everything. Be prepared if you order the appetizer trio, it's a lot of food. Totally worth it though. Also the pretzel bites, get those. read more

Great food, but extremely slow service. We were seated right away and our server was very friendly and got our drinks right away, but our appetizer (4 chicken tenders) took over 30 minutes to receive and our actual dinner (2 burgers and fries) took an hour to arrive to our table. Very tasty food, but not worth the long wait. read more

This establishment was very clean and a great location. They have literally every beer on tap and that was AMAZING!! The food was rather bland. Nothing special there, however due to a staff shortage they had a small menu so I will give them the fact that maybe it wasn't their best moment. However, the staff that was there was very friendly! I would give it 5 stars but honestly the food was lackluster. I was expecting more, but the beer assortment was great!!! read more

I'd seen this on Yelp and DoorDash quite a bit when I run searches on places to order from for dinner, and decided to go ahead and try it. I was definitely not let down by the experience! Ordered a philly, sidewinder fries, and pretzel bites. The pretzel bites may not suit everyone as they're not covered in large grains of salt that most would associate with "pretzel", but for me this did not detract from the flavor when combined with the beer cheese dip that I ordered with it. The sidewinder fries have a very nice flavor without feeling greasy. They're a nice change from normal fries, potato wedges, or curly fries. The philly had a good flavor without being overloaded in cheese or peppers - this kept the sandwich from being soggy. I can definitely say that I plan to order/visit here again! read more

Coming from Oklahoma I was surprised to see Arkansas behind times checking temperatures at the door and mandatory masks. Food was okay, burgers were nothing special but the drafts were really good. Service was 4/5. If I was a local I would request for drafts and games but this isn't a out of the way destination place IMO read more

I wanted to give them a better review, but I just can't. We got here at 6 on a Saturday and we were immediately sat. The restaurant was full but didn't seem overly busy and there was no wait when we got there. After we were sat, it took them 15 minutes to come get our drink order, so we ordered food at the same time. Our appetizer, Buffalo chicken dip, came out fairly quickly, but before our drinks. The dip was mostly cream cheese and no Buffalo flavor. Our drinks finally came when we were half done with our app. We finished the app and waited another 20 minutes for food, which was a kale salad and a burger. No need for those to take nearly 40 minutes to get. Asked if we wanted another round of drinks which we said no cause we had no idea when they'd actually come. The gal (who wasn't our server) took my beer when I still had some left in it, which was irritating. The kale salad was okay, the burger was very dry and not medium rare as requested. Our server was also seating people and bussing tables, I know a lot of places are understaffed but there were a lot of staff standing around not helping. Like I said, I really wanted to give them a good review but after spending nearly 1.5 hours on this mediocre meal, I just can't. read more

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good beer and good food. Went for Honey Shuffle and Rebel Kettle Tap Takeover. Good music at a good volume and some great beers. There is something for everyone here. Pretzels were hot and cooked well, beer cheese seemed to have a bit of a funny texture, like it got too hot but a good taste. Nitro bbq wings- fantastic, crispy and well cooked with a sauce featuring a hint of sweetness. Chili cheese dog was phenomenal. The chili is some of the best I have ever had, and the dog was high quality. Super filling. Staff helped us pick some beers and found some things we really liked. Manager checked to make sure everything was right. read more

This has easily become one of my favorite places in NWA. I pooped in for a quick beer and bite with a buddy and had the best Brussels sprouts you'll ever put in your mouth as an appetizer. I've had some good ones before but nothing compares to these. The entire staff took care of us at one time or another making it super easy to order food and ask questions about their beer selection. At one point a gentlemen appeared and asked us about our meal. I don't know if he was the owner or just a great manager but that experience made me appreciate going there. At the end of the day we can spend our money anywhere so I want to spend it someplace where the people who operate it are glad we are there. Oh, I almost forgot, the bartender knows her beer. Her knowledge is on point and the brews she served were equally as perfect. Just another great experience at one of my favorite places. This is the kind of place i'm proud to show people who just moved here or friends from out of town because the beer selection is probably the best in town but the food is even better read more

Not sure what the fanfare is for this place. Nice enough staff, good enough food, but nothing to write home about. I make better burgers, hummus, and wings. Veggies were old and tired. Had to ask for condiments once too many times. No wine worth drinking (not all of us like beer- help us out and pick a decent wine please?) Come for the Craft Beers, and if You Must, Stay for the Food. They have a great selection of craft beers and they are very-well integrated within the Untappd app for tracking and socializing about beer. They offer flights and I highly recommend going that route to sample as many of their beers as possible. We started out with their Growler Nachos ($13) with Chicken (+$2), it's their daily-made corn tortilla chips smothered with mozarella cheese, black beans, pico de gallo, pickled red onions, taco sauce, crema, and topped with guacamole, cotija cheese, and cilantro. For entrees, all four of us opted for burgers. I ordered the Home-Sweet-Home Cheeseburger ($12), a patty topped with sweet marmalade and cream cheese, served with lettuce, tomato, and onions, and a side of Sidewinder fries. The flavor combination was real good--I never would have thought to add marmalade and cream cheese to a burger, but they make it work! The only problem was it was overcooked (I ordered it medium) and it was well-done and dry. My date ordered the Inferno Cheeseburger ($12), topped with green chili and thin sliced jalapenos, with pepperjack cheese and their signature kickin' aioli, and served with lettuce, tomato, and onion. She was underwhelmed by the blandness, lack of spice, and stinginess of the aioli. When she asked for extra aioli, they abliged, but then charged us $0.50 for it. There's a strong argument to be made that there wasn't enough on there to begin with, so why charge? Will they charge for extra ketchup? The kids ordered The Classic Cheeseburger ($11) and loved it--the kids burgers are getting to small for them... *sniff*. The Sidewinder fries were fantastic! Make sure you have them as your side. Overall, this was a good place to sample a wide variety of craft beers and in doing so, stuff your face with OK bar food. I would recommend this place to locals and tourists and when we come back to Bentonville, I would give it another shot. read more

Uptown Kitchen + Taphouse is a locally owned and operated restaurant dedicated to craft beer. With over 100 beers on tap and a menu chock-full of comfort food favorites, you really can't go wrong stopping in with an empty stomach and the thirst for a cold pint.

Meet the Business Owner: Seth M.

With a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a love for interacting with folks, Seth saw the opportunity to do something new and did so by opening the Uptown location in Rogers in 2017. He looks forward to maintaining a laid-back space where folks can enjoy local craft beer and warm hospitality for years to come. In 2020, Seth broke away from the franchise to become 100% independent locally owned, and operated.

Well Yelpers, I've found my new fave Northwest Arkansas restaurant! TBH, I wasn't sure what to expect when I arrived. It looked like a modernized restaurant with an open kitchen. I opened the door to the restaurant and waited to check in and a handsome young boy asked if I had reservations and I advised I didn't and he asked if I wanted to sit indoor or outdoor. He grabbed a menu and helped me to my table. I was quickly greeted by a staff member and given a glass of water and was told that there isn't an assigned server but that multiple staff members will work together to attend my table. After eating American and Italian food all week on my business travels, I was craving some authentic simple home cooked food and this location brought me virtually home for dinner. For those of you that know me or have been following my review journey, have gotten to know my household ethnicities. When I saw the House 1830 Menu, it was a delightful mix of Vietnamese and Laotian food! The color purple was present from accent walls by the kitchen to my cloth napkin on the plate sets, to the "seasonal" menu font color all tie together with staff uniforms including the outdoor purple umbrella above the outdoor seating space. They even have custom pillows on the bench seating with the House 1830 logos. Susana, one of the owners came to greet me and asked if I've been here before or if it's my first time. She shared that her husband Binh was the head chef today and many patrons typically think it's a fusion restaurant but it's really a family inspired menu that keeps the food as authentic as possible. Binh is Vietnamese and their sister in law Bé is Laotian. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Bé as she was celebrating her birthday elsewhere as she should. Susana shared that her contribution is the inspired cocktail menu...which had so many yummy options that you don't see anywhere else. They had a Lychee Martini on the menu but I see it often everywhere so I ordered the Longan Martini to try and it was delish! I started with my roots and ordered a Vietnamese House Sampler described as a sampling of the crowd favorite starters. Cha Gio | Mini Banh Xeo | Bo Xien Tam for $21. The eggrolls were crispy and had the right amount of filling well seasoned, the Bite-size Banh Xeo shrimp crepes was light and the flash fried marinated beef skewers were seasoned to perfection with a family marinade. Lettuce, cilantro, mint along with the various nuoc cham (dipping sauces) were great! I didn't want to fill up as I wanted one of my favorite Lao dishes Nam Khao - Crispy red curry seasoned rice combined with small chunks of cured pork, and spices. It comes with lettuce, mint, cilantro where you can eat it like a lettuce wrap or eat it as is like fried rice for $18. This light entree for me hit the spot. The staff was exceptional, occasionally stopping g by to check if my water was ok or if I needed anything. I went to check out the bathroom to wash my hands and thought the wall murals were trendy and happy to see the restrooms were clean. I stopped at the open kitchen and complimented the chef and his staff on my delicious meal. They were very cheery and thankful for the compliment. Went back to my table and contemplated another cocktail or dessert but I was really beyond stuffed and figured I'll be back and to save options for my next visit. Chef Binh stopped by my table and we started talking about a little of everything. The restaurant concept, the seasonally inspired menu and to keep things fun for regular diners, shhhh....you didn't hear it from me...but there's even a secret menu that changes often! You'll have to ask or sign up to get the details! You don't get many seasonal menu options from Asian restaurants so I love that they have a seasonal menu and a secret one that only the special members know about! Come check out House 1830! But in practice, it was initially bumpy and overwhelming. We got asked for our drink order like 3 times, by 3 different people in less than 5 minutes. The service itself was preventing me from being able to read the menu! There are some unique cocktails, so I actually needed to focus and read about them. Our food was really, really good. We ordered a couple appetizers (wish they had fresh spring rolls in addition to the fried ones), and my husband had the Crying Tiger Steak, which was mouthwatering (though pretty fatty/gristly -- could've used a tad more butchering). Both the appetizers and my husband's steak came with specific instructions from the server of how to eat it properly: first put this on it, then add this, etc. It's not my favorite when chefs tell me HOW to eat their food. Can I just eat it? And figure it out for myself, how I like it? We aren't from Arkansas, and from what I can see, House 1830 is not a typical local restaurant, which is great. The chef was out of the country when we were there (at a food competition?), so not sure how that factored in to our visit. The manager kindly said he was going to comp our entire meal after taking the cold items back and agreeing they were indeed cold when he felt them in the kitchen. To be clear, we weren't there for a free meal. We were there for an upscale dining experience, with food that justifies the prices. We had seen on yelp, the chocolate cake, my husband's favorite. He wanted that to go so we figured what we assumed would be a descent tip, plus $20 for the $18 cake to go (so $70 cash). The server, Brandy said, after accepting the cash, I can't comp you the cake (she'd already offered me comped desert while my husband ate which I refused). I said, I get that, I just handed you $50 for tip plus $20 for the cake $18 cake. Then, the manager stopped back by to check on us and she brought the cake (with a box of rolls? No thanks!). I'm stunned by how the conversation with the 4 of us transpired. I feel as if the kind manager was misled by the server regarding what had taken place with us earlier. The conversation ended with her putting the $50 bill on our table and leaving, which obviously was not at all what we intended. I honestly, along with the manager, wanted the situation to end as kindly as possible. All of this to say, I saw 2 other tables send their food back. This issue is in no way the servers fault, and definitely not the fault of the front of the house manager. This is a kitchen issue that should definitely be addressed.

We had a party of about 13 and we had an excellent experience here for lunch. This was our first time here and we'll definitely be going back. The food, beer selection, atmosphere and service were excellent. Our server was one of the best that we've ever had anywhere. He was very welcoming, friendly and efficient. We had a 4 year old along with us and our server interacted with him all the while , pointing out hidden objects on the wall murals, which he loved. The only negative thing that I'd say is to watch out when you buy the flights of beer. Good food and good selection of beer. I love that you can order 5oz. flights! We ordered several 5 oz. local beers to taste. Food was pretty good. I got the Big BLT and husband got the Bacon Cheeseburger. We were both a little disappointed at the small amount of fries we received with our order, especially when paying $11 for a BLT.
