We met Joe the sign holder and he told us about this place and we decided to stop by as the pictures on IG looked really good and we want to support local businesses. We got the bbq tri tip and ribs that came with two sides; we got Mac & cheese & elote. The meats were so tender and juicy & the meat was falling off the bone on the ribs. The sides were yummy! The place was clean and neat. Parking is limited as its only street parking however there was plenty of parking on the street. Pricing is affordable & reasonable. Food also came out quick about less than 10 minutes of waiting but you can order ahead. I would definitely come back here when I get bbq cravings.

This place has the most tender and juicy meat. Not just one meat. All of the meat. Fall off the bone meat on the ribs tri-tip is juicy. The macaroni and cheese is thick and tasty. A unique little place in uptown Sacramento. I work with Foster youth and they have chosen this restaurant for our holiday luncheon two years in a row now. The amount of food you get for your dollar is great. $17 for a two meat plate with two sides included couldn't ask for a better deal. They are very accommodating when we have our luncheon there. Great place, great people, fantastic food.

As always the BBQis ahhh-mazing! My wife can't live (or leave) without the Mac-n-Cheese. So fantastic!

these ribs ARE LITERALLY THE MOST FALL OFF THE BONE RIBS IVE EVER EATEN! Portions, price, taste 10/10!!!

I never leave yelp reviews but this place deserves it. I accidentally stumbled on this place cause BBQ is one of my favorite foods specially ribs and seriously these are the best ribs I've had in a long time maybe ever. Customer for life!!!

Pulled pork bbq platter with mac & cheese and bbq beans. Not good.

Service was slow. Food was bad. One bbq plate with a choice of two sides and one meat was $15. They do give you big portions for the meat but they need to rethink their recipe and the way they cook the pulled pork. Meat wasn't tender. The bbq sauce was ordinary. The mac and cheese was more like mac OR cheese. The bbq beans were okay. I just feel like for $15, I should've been able to get 3-4 sides. Would've liked mashed potatoes and a garlic toast. It probs would've helped how bad the food was, just for variety's sake.

Wow!!! The food here is incredible. The BBQ spot here in Antelope closed down a few months ago and since then I've struggled to find decent bbq. I've tried a few different places but they were far and not good enough to justify the drive. I was craving tri tip so I googled to see if there was anywhere else I could try and I found the IG account for uptown. After seeing the pictures I immediately knew I had to come. I got a 3 meat plate with ribs, tri tip and Chicken and Mac and baked beans for the sides. All 3 meats were sooo tender. The meat slid right off the rib bone, it was softer than butter that sat out overnight. The tri tip was tender and delicious. The chicken couldn't be any more tender. The sauce is also good. My mom got a double cheeseburger and she found it delicious and filling. A friend got a tri tip sandwich and fell in love. We're all ready for round 2

First time trying it and the last! The mac&cheese was dry as if it was siting out all day and heated in microwave after, the ribs were to mushy as if they were boiled they were WAY to soft and mushy not crispy bbq the beans taste as if they from can then to top it off they use those hard brown public bathroom napkins zero stars

Came soon after opening (12 noon) around 1 pm and many meats still cooking so unavailable. Rice also unavailable so no teriyaki bowl either. So a bbq joint without bbq meat at opening. But did have the bbq chicken and elote which were delicious. The chicken was fork tender and moist. The elote was flavorful with a generous spice coating but the corn itself was a bit chewy. The taco salad was a disappointment. It was like a cheap nachos with chips, shredded lettuce, some chopped tomatoes, beans, cheese and light sour cream. When you combined the chicken over it, it was edible only barely.

They advertise five dollar double burgers and we had to just check it out. It's in a weird position on the corner and quite frankly I wasn't even sure if it was a restaurant. I believe they're a skateboard skater type place that is also a restaurant. Either way we got the burger. It was tasty. The guy behind the counter was cool. But I'll be honest if I didn't see the menu I really would not have known this was a restaurant. Low-key might be their style. Either way I recommend it

I have seen this place change hands a few times now. However, my daughter found out that Nascar was doing a pop-up in Sac, so I bought tix and realized that it was being held here. We arrived very early, and the smell from the grill was intoxicating! The event was held outside, and the crowd was small enough for me since this was her first concert. As the show continued, I decided to order food to take home. BBQ 2 meats, 2 sides was calling my name. I settled on rib tips, hot link, mac & cheese, and garlic toast. They were out of greens. My plate was full, tasted a little of everything, and... The hot link was hot and good, rib tips were yummy, mac and cheese was gooey good, bread was great! I will go back to try out the tacos and definitely need greens! The entire staff there were amazing and accommodating! This was definitely an experience that my daughter will never forget! This is the perfect space for an intimate event, up close and personal with the artists. I must admit that overall, I was pretty impressed! In addition to Nascar, Dirtybutt and Lich Tycoon performed, and my daughter is now a forever fan of theirs, too. They were all great!

I ordered a taco that was tasty but extremely small for nearly $5. Someone in our group ordered a burrito, took one bite, and didn't want to finish it. Most of the food around the table was just mediocre. Service wasn't great either -- our server wasn't very attentive, especially for a big group. The only real positive is the location in the heart of Midtown, which is convenient. But overall, I wouldn't recommend Mas Tacos for brunch, and definitely not for bottomless mimosas.
