Really awesome. Got two lobe piercings over a year ago. I went in to ask about my semi-infected ears. They noticed that my studs fell out of the original socket of my earring. Everything else was intact. The lady at the front desk offered me a brand new pair of earrings, free of charge. Wow. That's good business right there, and just a really kind way to treat an old customer from over a year ago. Fantastic. Cleaning tips were also great. Everything's healing fine with the salt rinses. I may not be into getting anymore piercings anytime soon, or any tattoos for that matter, but I will be recommending any of my friends who are interested to come here! read more

I've never had a bad experience here at Urban Body! I first heard about this place from a friend, so I had high expectations to begin with. Needless to say, my expectations were met! I got my forward helix done in 2012 and my septum done in 2015 and love them both. I recently tried to get a second forward helix done to compliment my original. It didn't work out but the staff was super understanding and patient with me while I tried to decide if I wanted to repierce it (which my piercer, Regina, offered to redo free of charge), and worked with me to figure out where I could place it. I ultimately decided to let it heal and stick with my single, and I got a full service refund. I will definately be returning if I can think of any other piercings I want! All of the staff have always been friendly with me, and patient with any questions or concerns I have. I refer all my friends here if they are thinking of a piercing. read more

I just got a tattoo done by Jason this evening and it was a wonderful experience! I just walked in, told him my idea, and he drew up exactly what I had in mind. He was easy to work with. Urban Body and Tattoo has a pretty good rap, considering how it was voted the best tat and piercing shop in '09. I've been here on a number of occasions for quotes and such and the staff was always willing to lend a helping hand. One of the first times I went a friend got ear piercings and the girl at the front gave ample instructions on taking care of the newly pierced ears along with some other recommendations. I actually came for a tat with a design that I wanted, had one seamless scheduling date and after a quick look at it, the artist did an exact rendition of what I asked for. They once again provided great procedural advice and took the time to answer all my questions. Throughout the entire process we joked around and I wasn't as nervous about getting one done and that was a great touch. Would recommend on both accounts for a piercing and a tat. read more

Loved my experience at Urban Body. Making an appointment was easy, and the staff was incredibly polite and professional. Got my first tattoo done on Super Bowl Sunday, and immediately fell in love with the process, the cleanliness, artistry, and excellent service that comes from Urban Body. Friendly and timely. I took my fiance here for her first tattoo for her birthday and I was very impressed. They were really really busy but since we made an appointment they got us in quick. Jordan was skilled and quick with no non-sense, he drew out the small paw print tattoo and changed it up a little so that it looked better. She was so friendly, professional, and took time to answer my questions. Super quick, almost painless, just a great experience. I always feel welcomed and was encouraged to come back if I need anything from after care or jewelry replacement etc. Can't comment on tattoos but Urban Body (especially Chelsea) is the bees knees when it comes to piercing. Chelsea is one of my favorite people! I have a fair number of piercings, but I'm still the type of person who gets more and more nervous the longer I have to spend lying on a table waiting for the piercing to happen. Chelsea's very friendly, but also quick and no-nonsense about the piercing process. She explains everything you need to know in detail, and makes sure you know what she's doing while she's doing it. I love this place. Period. Great service, product, and people. Ive had two ear piercings done here, an industrial piercing, my nose pierced, and had a tattoo touched up and added on to. I was tattooed by Chris (awesome and talented guy), pierced by Avi and some one else (don't remember their name!). Every single time I go to their shop I feel welcome and not uncomfortable like I have in many shops. I've been pierced and tattooed at other shops, even some great ones in LA but I keep coming back here because the service is unbeatable. I had some problems with a piercing in my nose and they were great about looking at it and telling me what to do to help it to heal, all free of charge. And, they always seem to have whatever odd sized jewelry I need that no one else stocks. Awesome place. It rocks. read more

Yesterday I went to get my nose pierced. The girls working that night were very helpful, and were very informative. I didn't get any attitude, which is nice. The piercer explained the placement and cleaning it afterwords. It was a breath of fresh air. The only downside was that it was so busy when I went there I had to wait outside, but the front office girl came outside to let me know that she noticed me and would get the room ready which was nice. Overall good experience! The piercer did a good job, quick and relatively painless. I think if I get anything else done I'll go there, even though it is quite a drive from Sacramento, it's definitely worth it. read more

The front staff was super helpful, and my tattoo artist, Chris, immediately put me at ease. My design was simple, but he executed it perfectly. I came here to get my septum pierced a few days ago and the experience was great! It cost me ~$50 + tip, was fast and easy and the piercer was amazing! She was very knowledgeable, explained every step of the process before she did it, was fast and kind and is by far the best piercer I have been to. Even though I got it for myself as a 18th birthday present, I still brought my mom who was in the room with me and she also said the piercer is by far the best we've been to and really liked her as well. This place is great! Easy to find, I just took the Unitrans and got off at Amtrak and it was right there. The place is really clean and professional. The woman at the front counter was really nice and was very informative. She waited as I took my sweet time picking out jewelry for my piercing. The price wasn't too bad. Not the cheapest but pretty reasonable, I paid $56 for my navel piercing, jewelry, and cleaning solution. I also used a $5 off coupon that they hand out at UCD at the beginning of the year from some coupon book. The piercer Avi was very nice and informative, he was patient. I saw the jewelry come out of the bag so it was sterile. It definitely hurt more than I expected but I like how he took his time making sure the piercing would be straight. It went by pretty fast and I'm very happy! He taught me how to clean it and whatnot. It's straight, and healing is going by very well :) This place is great. Took off 1 star though because the rooms are very tiny and it kind of scared me hearing the tattooing going on in the room right next door.. But amazing place! He was actually the artist that did my first tattoo. He was very helpful and worked with me on what I was actually going to get. His work is legit too. His coloring technique is amazing. I've been to Urban Body before in January 2016 to get a double helix piercing, forgot the guys name but he was very nice and super patient with me. It was my first piercing other than my ear lobe so he was understanding and explained the piercing process along with the healing and after care process. Based off of this experience, I thought this place was awesome. So I came back today to get a simple tattoo of three arrows with my sister and best friend. I called beforehand to make sure it would be okay with what we wanted and the lady on the phone assured us that since it was a simple tattoo, it would be ok. However, we got there and the tattoo artist Jason was, for lack of a better way to say it, a complete douche bag. He walked out and didn't even introduce himself, didn't even seem friendly, and stood there waiting for us to say something. TBH, if I'm gonna get a tattoo, I want it to be done by someone who's nice and not a dick. He was super impatient when we explained what we wanted/how big we wanted it and was super condescending when we threw out a couple ideas for the size. It was pretty discouraging for us bc we were pretty juiced to get this simple ass tattoo, but as soon as we spoke to Jason our decision to get one by him was a solid no. We were literally in there for the duration of our conversation, 2 minutes, and we immediately left. I wasn't gonna get tatted by this ass hole. I'd recommend this place for piercings but not for tattoos. read more

It's really disappointing having to write this because I originally really liked Eric but his poor work actually ended up making me have to go to the doctors office. I went in to have him put hoops in to piercings that were 4+ years old and it was fine at first but then I realized that one hoop was put in wonky and it keep getting caught in my actual ear and kept making my ear bleed and gave it a huge bump on the front and the back. I went to him multiple times to see what was happening and he just kept saying to soak it in salt water but it was not helping what so ever. The bump was really painful and I couldn't sleep on that side and I still can't to this day and this problem started in December of 2018. I have had to go to multiple doctors visits and get steroids injected into the bump because of his mistake. My doctors told me the bump is a keloid and that soaking it in salt water would not help so not only did he mess up my ear but he couldn't even identify that I had a keloid in the first place. I'm really disappointed that I have to write this because he's a really nice guy and is really gentle but his mistake has costed me lots of money and I don't want this to happen to other people as well. read more

I asked to get my nose piercing lowered and he was completely rude about it. I would reccomend going somewhere else.
