Finally checked out this Mango house space and really wanted to try the Burmese food. Got the NaN Gyu Dok, chicken and thick rice noodle salad and side chicken broth. It tasted great and adding some chili helped to enhance its complex flavor. They offered free hot tea which was great. The owner was really nice and we will definitely come back for more food. The space was getting settled in and it will be interesting place to go back once everything is set. read more

Ok so this place was a little difficult to find but it's inside a small mall called mango place or something like that. You can park in the very back or on the street in the front but you'll have to walk around because only the back door is open. Don't park at dollar general or the bank because they will tow! Once we got inside it was super cool because there are actually multiple options for food including Ethiopian, Syrian, Nepali and Sudanese foods! Urban Burma was delicious! Lots of things to try from curry to noodle to fried rice dishes. They have a nice seating area on the side and the service was fast and friendly! I will definitely be back. read more

The staff were friendly and the food was reasonably priced. I only ordered the chickpea tofu from here with this tangy tamarind sauce that compliments the already delicious tofu but I will definitely have to come back for a noodle dish and tea leaf salad! I've had Burmese food in Los Angeles, where I'm from and the food here has more variety and better prices than back home. The kids enjoyed the tofu. Been eating here the last few years and really love it! Got delivery today for the first time and everything was packaged really well, all items arrived, and just as delicious as when ordered in person at Mango House. Here's the breakdown: - samosa and fried tofu were delicious, esp paired with that yummy sauce! - chicken fried rice was better than most, if they sold just that chicken I would be so happy! Nicely seasoned and tasty. - always my fave is the Shan noodles, very consistently delicious and light but very flavorful. - beef curry and pork curry: not at all a fan of the pork. It tasted boiled, a little tough, and lacked flavor. The beef curry is ok, but there are way better things on their menu to order. - Ono Kao Sweh: light coconut broth/sauce, I usually like it! Buuuttttt...I feel like they changed the noodles? Now it's basically a spaghetti noodle, not my fave. - Sii Che Kao Sweh: I really liked this! Again, that chicken really makes it even better. So good! First time I went to Urban Burma was about two years ago. All of the food was amazing, staff was friendly and helpful, but OMG the tea leaf salad was like nothing I had ever eaten before and became a constant craving! Since then I've eaten there numerous times and have tried almost everything on the menu! The quality is consistently fresh, and the flavors are always delicious and complex. I can't say this about many restaurants in the Denver area, but at Urban Burma I've never been disappointed. I've settled on my faves, which are the samosas, Shan noodles, Burmese hot tea, and of course, tea leaf salad. But really you can't go wrong with any dish. My favorite new take out spot. Sure it's a little hidden, but worth seeking out. I've tried most of the chicken entrees and they are great, especially the ones with noodles. Tastes very home made. This is a welcome gem of a restaurant in Denver. My mother very rarely cooks Burmese food and there have been many times I've wished there were a Burmese restaurant I could go to. Yum!! I ordered takeout and everything was very tasty. I ordered the Samosas appetizer, Fried Rice w Chicken, Stir Fry w Chicken and some type of lo mein style noodle - also with chicken. The fried rice and stir fry were my favorites and I really liked the samosas too. The veggies in the stir fry were perfectly cooked... so good! I'm from Burma and this is the real deal. It's a bit of a drive but worth the trek. The noodle dishes, appetizers and soups are excellent - I haven't had anything here that wasn't flavorful or authentic. It's so good to have a place in Denver that serves Burmese food: many of the menu items require considerable prep time and effort, so it's good to be able to get really delicious food from my homeland without all the effort!! Had takeout from here, and I've never had Burmese food - oh my gosh. So good! The veggie curry had a great mixture with slight kick. The veggie fried rice had some nice flavors. The winners, though, were the tea leaf salad and the fried tofu appetizer. The tea leaf salad is unique but so good - the slight fermented and pickley flavors with crispy cabbage and other items-just so good. Their homemade chickpea tofu is nicely crisped and flavored. I haven't had the pleasure of Burmese food since I was in Myanmar and am kicking myself for not coming sooner. The samosas were absolutely perfect and the tea salad took me straight back to Yangon. This is one of my FAVORITE restaurants in the area, I eat here at least once a month. The food is amazing and the owner / staff are so friendly and welcoming. I always get the Ono Kao Sweh and Samosas and highly recommend both. The flavors are unique and different - I had never had Burmese food before trying Urban Burma, but if you like other types of Asian food, you will definitely like this. I'll be honest, Denver doesn't have a lot of great ethnic food. That is... except Urban Burma. My ad and I got takeout from here tonight and it was amazing. The noodles had a delicious texture and the spice level (medium plus) was definitely manageable. The curry was super unique and unlike anything I've had. Worth the trip! Word to the wise, be careful where you park, if you park in front of Dollar General or the bank, you may get towed. You also might need to call the restaurant to let you in. There are several ethnic restaurants located inside a refugee center and although I've never tried the others, they all look amazing. We came here based on the reviews and were not disappointed!
