The best breakfast I've had in DTC. The chicken & waffles benedict is to die for! I have only done takeout, simply because the wait times are INSANE. It can be up to a two hour wait, which stinks, but also confirms it's a great choice. Had a great breakfast with my son here. I had the southwest Benedict. Very good. Had a little kick to is. Eggs were poached perfect. No alcoholic drinks this morning but Bloody Mary's going by looked great. Sim had the breakfast sandwich, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Had a pesto based flavor. He could only finish half! Urban egg is one of my favorite spots in Denver. While it doesn't look like much on the outside, the food is phenomenal. I've been going here for years now and I highly recommend the avocado toasts (all variations are really good), the cinnamon pancakes, and the field greens salad. I wish I could say that I have tried the whole menu but every time I go back I just get the avocado toast because it is to die for! The refreshing drinks are also all so good but I will say the Chai is probably not worth $5. I'm pretty confident they use a Chai mix from Costco. But other than that, Urban Egg is great for brunch and lunch! read more

It was our first time here and we will be back for sure. Everything was SO good and we got A LOT of food. Chai latte, great. Southwest Eggs Benedict (deliciously spicy!), Chicken & Eggs, Breakfast Tacos and Biscuits and Gravy were all delicious! The loaded hashbrowns as a side were divine and we also got the blueberry and Hawaiian pancakes as a side. Everything is delicious! The staff is very helpful and attentive. We got the chicken fried steak special, steak and eggs, breakfast tacos with turkey bacon, a side of crispy french toast and stuffed French toast. Our server Roxie made me feel like we've been friends for years and gave lots of fabulous in depth recommendations. But also the manager Brennan was radiating light and joy. He greeted all guests with energy and love. We even saw behind the scenes how he greeted an employee with energy and enthusiasm. Nice brunch place. I made reservations via yelp and by the time I reached, my table was ready. It was super busy since it was Saturday morning. The server had a big smile and that was a great start for the weekend. The hash browns with the omlettes were crispy and yummy! I also tried the blueberry pancakes and what a great choice it was! I was really hoping to like this place, but sadly we were disappointed. As other reviews have noted, the service is great but the food is lacking. This place has a ton of potential, if the kitchen can get it together. The atmosphere is cute and comfortable - the hostess area is welcoming (I like that they don't stand behind a big podium and stand in front of it instead), the waiting area is small but comfortable and guests waiting for a table can help themselves to complimentary coffee, the bar is fun and welcoming, the dining room is cute and comfortable, and the patio is nice and is dog friendly. The women's bathroom was also a treat - with adorable well wishing cards you can fill out and tag on the wall for others. I have never seen anything like this and it sure brightened my day. Our server also brightened our day - Jill has one of the most welcoming and friendly attitudes of a server I have experienced in quite some time. When our server asked how our food was we were honest about the poor quality of the eggs, but didn't want to cause a stink about how we really felt about the food - 1) because it had taken so long to arrive at our table in the first place and we were starving and 2) whenever we complain about the food, rarely is the experience redeemed. So what was wrong with the food? Well again, it took a very long time to arrive at our table - approximately 35-40 minutes after ordering. By this time and after a mimosa each, we were famished. The server recommended the huevos rancheros over the benedicts so I went with her suggestion. Sadly for $11 you get a very small dish of mostly hashbrowns, two undercooked eggs, approx 2T of black beans and a small PINCH of cotija cheese. The over easy eggs were watery (even the whites) and the whole dish was underwhelming and I was still hungry after eating. My husband was super excited to order the pancakes and he got two over-easy eggs on the side. His eggs were also undercooked and the whites were runny, so he returned them. The pancakes were okay, but underwhelming also with very little flare and light on toppings compared to what we have had at other places (he had the blueberry streusel and the bacon). As for the drinks, the Maui Waui (pineapple vodka, oj, & processo) was very good and strong, the Perfect Pomegranate (pom syrup, prosecco, sparkling lemon soda, orange liquer, oj) was also tasty but a bit on the sweet juice side, and the Sunrise on the Peak (prosecco, sparking blood orange soda, grenadine) was good, but a bit on the sweet side and I didn't care for it being served over ice - a few sips and it was gone. read more

Ordered for carryout, which usually I don't do for breakfast because I feel like breakfast food doesn't travel well. But I was staying pretty close by, so figured it would be ok. OK was an understatement! I had the Denver Hot Chicken Benedict and the smell of it in my car had me drooling before I could even get back to my hotel. I appreciated the way it was packaged...poached eggs were in a small container inside so as not to ruin them in transit. Same for the biscuits & gravy my partner ordered; gravy packaged separately. Biscuits large & homemade. The Benedict tasted as great as it smelled. Overall a little pricey (but not out of line with the area & similar places), but portions were large. I've been to the Urban Egg in Colorado Springs and loved the meal I had there (takeout). But this time we decided to dine in. I order the same meal and it did NOT disappoint.
