The Urban Egg is a solid brunch and lunch spot! Parking is easy in the nearby garage. The vibe is sunshiny and welcoming, and the place is abuzz with chatty patrons. On the weekends and during lunch hour, prepare to wait. The patio is cute (albeit a bit toasty in CO's recent heat), and dog friendly, which always pleases me! Servers match the vibe- personable and helpful. Today was my second visit to this establishment and in the interest of being healthy, I opted for the sole salad on the menu instead of breakfast food (my willpower when it comes to bacon/carbs/fried potatoes is nil if they're on my plate). Unfortunately, my healthy choice was not great (my steak and eggs the time before was way better!). The prosciutto on top was dried and tasted a bit like what I'd imagine a dog treat might be like- I'm very glad that my server suggested that I order grilled chicken for the salad as well. My mom's 3 Eggs Your Way made her very happy- cooked to perfection, accompanied by delicious hash browns and toast. Next time I visit, I'm looking forward to eating a sweet selection, as the pancakes coming out of the kitchen looked fabulous. Though my salad was lackluster, I've rated Urban Egg so highly because my previous meal was far better, and I saw those pretty (though very high calorie!) plates in front of others. First off, a very long wait on a Sunday morning. Almost an hour wait and not enough room to stand or sit. We saw groups of people that would be seated that showed up after us, couldn't understand this at all. Once seated we loved our waiter. He was very friendly and informative. I was looking forward to the chorizo, but after tasting it, not so much. It was very peppery and not so tasty. The pancakes were good and we loved the eggs. Overall we liked this location and would probably come again but this time we would probably be more prepared for the morning rush. They played very good music, but couldn't always hear it over the customers. We liked the tv's but couldn't really enjoy it on a Sunday morning due to the amount of customers. The bright restaurant was bustling with customers, which is always a good sign. We waited approximately 20 minutes before being seated on the patio. There were some sweet pups by our table! The menu had a diverse sampling of brunchy and coffee cocktails, all of which sounded scrumptious. I ordered a latte which was far too sweet. To eat, I had the breakfast croissant sandwich. It had a little too much going on for my liking between the Brie, apple jelly, bacon, eggs, and green apple. We also shared a pancake flight. Just amazing. I will be returning for sure. One of my most fav spots. I love how cute the ambience is too.

I really like the inside. Very clean and modern with lots of plants. I used the waitlist feature on yelp, but still had to wait maybe five minutes, so not bad. The food itself was pretty good and came out fast. The hollandaise sauce was especially good on the eggs Benedict. Loved the breakfast quinoa. It was like oatmeal and perfect for a lighter brunch. Loaded hash browns were pretty good and slightly spicy. The Maui wowie mimosa was super delicious and if I wasn't driving home, I would've gotten two. If you like sweet drinks, I'd recommend it. The only real problem I had was that we felt rushed. Our waiter asked if we were ready to order food really quickly and when we said we needed a minute he came back really soon. Our check was given to us before we were even halfway done eating. We weren't there even close to closing and we didn't take more than 20 minutes. Great food and great ambiance! Got their famous avocado toast with loaded hash browns, their house coffee and mile high bourbon chai. First, I love how the server knows exactly what's on the menu and definitely knows her stuff. Being that it was my first time here, I instantly trusted what she recommended because she seemed to know exactly what I was looking for. And she was definitely right!! Everything on their menu is local and I heard is 95% made from scratch (so nothing frozen!). I'm not a super health nut, but I'll take fresh over frozen any day! The food portions are just right. I don't get it! Overpriced, mediocre breakfast food served by the slowest service. I see people waiting in line and am stumped. Our eggs were cold, my colleague requested just light on the cheese so they put a blob of melted cheddar on the side of her plate. It took a very, very long time to get our food. This restaurant is definitely following COVID guidelines! Social distancing tables and it's best to RSVP in advance. I got the biscuits and gravy and it was pretty good - definitely worth the price if you would like to take home leftovers! The only thing I felt uncomfortable was how my server rushed us with ordering, paying for the bill, leaving, etc. I understand there is a time limit on how long we should stay, it just felt a little unwelcoming when it feels someone was trying to rush us. The Manager was a very nice guy. The food was good. But be prepared to be given a horrible estimate on wait time. I knew it would be busy. When I got there signed in to wait for a table. Was told it would be 45/50 minutes, by a very rude duo of girls working as hostesses. As I saw people that showed up after me and repeatedly get seated after an hour I said something. Was sure not to be rude cause I also Am in the food service industry. I was told those people wait times reduced cause they booked through Yelp. I knew it was A lie cause I saw them use the same kiosk I used to sign in. I was then told ( very rudely by the way by the Hostess) that it would be another 45 minutes. As you would imagine I left. First of all, the service here is OUTSTANDING. The hostess greeted us warmly and asked how we were doing. I said I wasn't feeling well. Suspect I have altitude sickness. She was genuinely sympathetic and suggested a drink that would be easy on my tummy. I ended up ordering it and it was perfect. Will get back to the food... Once we sat down, our server, Katelyn came by with jubilance and a friendly welcome. Told her it was our first time as we were visiting from Hawaii to watch the Bronco game. Also mentioned to her about my ailment. She too was sincerely sympathetic. Hubby ordered the stuffed French toast and a coffee. What a work of art. He really enjoyed it. Filled him up. Because I wasn't feeling well, I just ordered a small bowl of fruit and the Ginger Splash juice. It had just the right amount of ginger. I could taste the bite of the ginger but it wasn't overpowering. The fruit was fruit but I will say it was fresh. I left feeling very satisfied. Our food came out quickly. They were relatively busy so it was nice to have gotten served so fast. At the end, Katelyn came to check on us and made a few suggestions to treat my altitude sickness. But she didn't stop there. She spoke to a coworker and came back with some other tips and suggestions. That is someone who cares and goes over and beyond. If I lived here, I would come often. But I don't.
