BEST service in San Angelo. My fiancee was visiting from out of town and I wanted a nice restaurant downtown San Angelo. Michelle, Alex, Ashley, and Alize did a FANTASTIC job makes us feel comfortable and making great recommendations for things to do around San Angelo. Exceptional customer service. Really good food. Comfortable ambiance. Reasonably priced. Great cocktails and drinks. I will definitely visit there again.

San Angelo has a population of 99,893. Urban Salt Kitchen and Bar will only increase that number! The Scallop appetizer were three perfect morsels. The Salmon and their chicken Fried Chicken main dishes were excellent. The dessert was a banana bread pudding ... honestly if I lived closer this would be a regular on my menu.

Stopped in Wednesday late afternoon just in time for their 4-6pm daily Happy Hour. Nice variety of cocktails and a few apps all at $5-$6 each. They hand make all mixes, so all of our drinks were superb. We tried 4 of the 5 happy hour cocktails: The bees knees, expresso martini, the paloma, and our classic margarita all hit the spot and were all well made. Definitely try the coconut margarita! Our happy hour apps were good. We iked the deviled eggs more than the very generously portioned cheesy bread with marinara sauce. The Thai bang shrimp was very tasty and our side of cheesy grits was smooth and piping hot. We grabbed a couple of their entrées to go, but tasted them before leaving. The special of the night was amazing: tilapia with cream sauce and noodles- a big portion too. The chicken fried chicken was very good too, perfectly fried and cooked. The icing on the cake was the live music (Wednesday nights only?). The guitarist had a nice repertoire of soft rock. Excellent service - Paul & Scott were outstanding. Chill vibe. Our new favorite place in San Angelo. Eat & drink here.

We went on Sunday when brunch was being served. It has a really nice atmosphere in an old downtown building. My wife had the avocado tostados and I had the steak hash. Her eggs were cooked just right and she ate those and the tomato slices. Her strawberry was old and bruised and the avocado smash had a fizzy taste that made her nervous so she didn't eat that. My eggs were also cooked just right (over easy) and the potatoes tasted great. The meat was a little over seasoned and resulted in some heartburn. Our server was friendly and prompt and was very responsive when we pointed out our issues. We'd probably go back for supper at some point.

We came here for my mother's birthday on the 9th, and I honestly would have preferred to have gone somewhere else. The service was incredibly slow, the server (while sweet) didn't seem to know her own menu, and we weren't made to feel like a priority despite being one of only four parties in the entire restaurant aside from a few bar patrons. The deviled eggs were lackluster and greasy, skip those. The queso was okay? But I couldn't tell if I was actually happy with it or if I was hungry from how long it took to get our actual meals. Honestly, the entire service was disappointing and when I finally got my meal (the French dip) ten minutes after everyone else got theirs? I was already over it. Urban Salt is a place you can skip in my not so humble opinion. But already the vibes are cute, amiright?

Drinks were good, I always love a spot that has a dedicated mocktail menu with nonalcoholic liquors. The best dish was their Braised Beef Rib and mashed potatoes, 10/10, 5 star review for that dish.. Other food, however, not the same energy.. Queso appetizer tasted like velveeta cooked in chorizo oil and the chips tasted like they were cooked in old oil days prior. Birria was decent but nothing to write home about. Service was good! Bartender was sweet and I liked that she tried the drinks before sending them out to make sure they weren't crap. Over all wasn't bad but didn't meet the mark for the expectations I had.

They were very quick and attentive. The ambiance felt original and welcoming. The champagne salad was delicious. I chose to add shrimp to it. Also, the chicharones were delicious; they were a bit spicy if you enjoy a little kick! My lemon drop martini tasted very fresh and smooth. Overall, the drink and food were a bit pricey; I spent about $40+ for everything. It was definitely worth it for the level of freshness, the venue, and staff attentiveness. I highly recommend and I will be back!

A Hidden Gem That Absolutely Blew Me Away ;}…read more Went here on a recommendation from a local--and let me just say: WOW. Holy sh*t, this place is the real deal. The food, drinks, service, and music were all on point. There's just something electric about the vibe here--cozy, welcoming, but lively as hell at the same time. The owner was there the night we went, and she's just the sweetest. Seriously. She even made the shrimp herself for my buddy's birthday, which is just next-level hospitality. Now, onto the food. I had the shrimp (obviously, had to try it after that), and also went in on two orders of the 6oz steak. And let me tell you--I've lived in Texas my whole life, eaten more steaks than I can count, and this was hands down top 3 best I've had in 30 years. Perfectly cooked, juicy, seasoned just right. No notes. The staff? Amazing. Our waitress was friendly, quick, and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there. You could feel the positive energy among the team--it was infectious, and it made the whole experience even better. Now, let's talk drinks. I ordered the Granada Spritz 6. First sip? I thought, "Okay, this is good--not mind-blowing, but solid." But damn, was I wrong. The more I sipped, the better it got. It starts off with a tart kick--kind of like a limey sparkling water--but then it settles into this smooth, slightly sweet pomegranate flavor that sneaks up on you. Long story short: I had three of them. Fast. All in all, this spot hit every note just right. Great food, awesome drinks, genuine people, and a killer vibe. This is officially going to be a weekend regular for me.
