The counter where you pay and you can get ice cream or "pickle shots". Basically frozen pickle juice for the kids.

Atmosphere is great. Very casual, clean, retro, friendly. My burrito was very good and the homemade salsa was good (not very hot). Husband got the West Texas omelette and hash browns. His was good too but a heavy meal. The hash brown were crispy. The waitress Tara was very nice and filled our coffee. Very attentive. It really is a bowling alley diner which is cool.

Ate breakfast here while in town visiting family. My son has been telling me how much he likes the food, and I thought it was very good. I had a veggie omelette with wheat toast. Our server was very friendly. My only complaint is, I wish they had a healthy choice for a side item. The hash browns were very greasy.

Because who doesn't love a good old-fashioned breakfast in a bowling alley?? Happened in here in search of something local for breakfast

This place has never disappointed me. Their breakfast is huge and delicious and very inexpensive. I finally tried their lunch menu today and I couldn't have been more pleased. Their food is that home cooked meal feel and I will definitely be back for more.

I had French toast and the outside was blackened and the inside was saturated with milk. It was an uncomfortable texture to the taste.

Second time we went for breakfast and got ignored. I guess my wife and I should give up. We just walked out without ordering.

First time here. One of the best burgers in town. Great service. Not fancy, but real nice.

Stopped here on my way across Texas. First, let me just say how nice it is to have a non-fast food…read moreplace to stop rest and get some food. cons: Month immediately, the first person you meet is the person who takes your order and she was sour as a lemon. Absolutely no customer service, no greeting, no smile. We all have bad days but you could tell this was just who she is... Maybe make her in charge of cleaning things and not dealing with the customers? (the same person could care less when the couple next to me received their order backwards. The woman couldn't eat spicy foods and her burger was covered with spicy items. She took it up to the woman taking orders and the woman refused to do anything. Wow.) The restrooms, wood sides along booths, pickle table and the condiments/tables need a serious cleaning - there is grossness abounding. I didn't see one person busing or cleaning in the restaurant - and it shows! Gross. The fries could've been great if they were crispy but they were all super soggy. FRY FAIL! Onions: you can leave them thick for the onion rings but if you're putting a slice of onion on my burger you better slice it thin. Nobody needs a huge half inch thick slice of onion in the middle of a burger. PRO: The burger was cooked to perfection. At least they got that right, which is why I gave them three stars - nothing else I experienced in this restaurant deserved any stars. The owner/manager are lazy at best cause they obviously don't care about the customer experience.

Yesterday was my Wife's Birthday, and we went out to Celebrate…read more Joe, Nancy's son, came over for the celebrations. We all left for "The GRILL" and when we entered, the place was packed, but they did have a table available, and it was near the Kitchen. At most restaurants, you don't want to be near the Kitchen, but at The GRILL, it's a great place to sit because you are closer to all that Aroma that fills the air all over the entire restaurant, and you get to watch them grill those Steaks. Haylee came over to our table to say "Hello". She is one of the Bartenders here at this time, and informed us that our Server is Katie, who will be with us shortly. We informed her that it's Nancy's "80th" Birthday, and Haylee wished her a Happy Birthday. We also ordered our drinks, Jack-N-Cokes for Nancy and me; Joe is having a Miller Lite. Katie came over shortly, and we informed her that Haylee took our drink order. Soon our drinks arrived, and we toasted to the Birthday Girl. Happy Birthday Nancy. We then looked over the menu some more, trying to decide what we wanted. This is a hard decision because everything they prepare here is delicious, and one of the Best Presentations of Tastyliciousness in town. When Katie returned, we placed our orders. The Birthday Girl is going with, and there is no surprise here, their "Slow Roasted Pork Nachos"; Chipotle Sauce, diced Tomatoes, Cilantro, Black Beans, Cheddar Cheese over Fresh Chips with sliced Green Jalapenos on the side, all covering a load of Fresh, Crunchy Chips. Joe is having their "Baby Back Ribs", "Fall-Off-The-Bone-Ribs" with house-made BBQ Sauce, served with Creamy Coleslaw & Shoestring Potatoes. He also ordered a side Salad with House Dressing. I am going with one of my favorites - everywhere - a Burger. Not just any burger, but their "Texas Burger": Half Pound of Seasoned Fresh Ground Chuck, Shredded Cheddar Cheese, Canadian Bacon, Onions, jalapeños, and mustard with Mesquite Sauce. Served with Shoestring Potatoes (choice). Orders are in, and we ordered another round of drinks for us. The GRILL has the best Bartenders in the area, and their drinks go down smooooooth. Our drinks arrived just before the food did, and it's hard to decide what to enjoy next. Okay, it was kind of easy. When you are presented with a drink, you take a sip just to let the drink know you appreciate it being a good drink. The GRILL does an amazing job with their Presentation of food. Joe's Baby Back Ribs are glistening on his platter (yes, a platter, not a plate), waiting for him to indulge. They didn't have to wait very long, because he did just that. Those Ribs have a lot of bones across the platter, and he started at one end and went to the other end. He said it was delicious, or something like that, because when one drools, it's hard to come up with the words. Their Shoestring Potatoes are always good, and the Creamy Coleslaw has a nice crunch to it, along with tasty flavoring. My Wife, as always, enjoyed those Slow Roasted Pork Nachos. There is a lot of pulled pork in there, along with a lot of everything else. The Jalapeños are on the side, so you can add as much heat to each bite as you want. This dish is not only Tastylicious, but a very Colorful one at that. It's like Christmas in August. Nancy ate more of this than she normally does. I took a bite, and it is really good, and what a deal. Joe finished off the rest, and the plate is clean. I have had this Texas Burger a few times before, and it's a hard one to pass up each time we are here. This must be a full Half-Pound patty, because it's Thick & Big. Love the strong taste and the amount of Cheddar Cheese Strips on this Burger; it's not too much, but it's also not a little amount. The Jalapeños are also just the right amount of heat to complement every bite. The Canadian Bacon on a Texas Burger does not sound right, but it is the right touch. The flavor goes perfectly with the entire Burger. For me, this entire Texas Burger is the Best Burger in the area, and I have had many a burger all over. Love those Shoestring Potatoes. They have a nice Crunch all the way around and are salted Just-Right. I usually do not salt anything per Doctor's orders, but these I make an exception for. The Texas Burger does it for me every time I order it. Every one of us joined the Clean Plate Club for the night, and we all get a Gold Star. Haylee and Katie earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award for going 'above-n-beyond' the norm. Haylee made our drinks for the night, and Katie checked on us throughout our stay at just the right time. Service at The GRILL has always been tops, and it was that again.

Started out on the rocky side and unfortunately never really recovered…read more It seemed like almost the entire restaurant was seated at the same time, and the staff clearly wasn't prepared for the rush. They scheduled a restaraunt full of reservations all at the same time instead of staggering them a few minutes apart each so that they could keep up with the guests orders. Our drinks took 20-30 minutes to reach the table. I will say the bartender was working hard to keep up, but he definitely needed some help. The salad came out and was good. However, when I ordered my $68 filet, I specifically asked the waiter what it came with. He told me potatoes, and I said, "Perfect." When my steak arrived, there was rice on my plate instead. If someone had simply come back to the table and told me that potatoes were not an option that night, I would have gladly chosen a different dish. It really comes down to basic communication. Our waiter was also the only server covering our side of the restaurant, and it was obvious that he needed help as well. I don't necessarily blame him for everything because he was clearly overwhelmed. What really made the experience worse was the gentleman who came out after we expressed that we didn't like the food. His attitude was essentially "too bad", and he was extremely rude and dismissive. That kind of response to a customer is unacceptable. Unfortunately, the service issues, lack of communication, food disappointment, and especially the rude attitude at the end completely ruined the experience. Save your money and go somewhere else.
