This spot has become my go-to if I want to eat something healthier than fast food. The sandwiches and salads are delicious!! Prices are reasonable too. I usually get the pesto chicken and side salad. Definitely get the salad over the chips. I've also tried the miso salmon salad and the dressing is so good! You must get this salad if you're into salmon. The cheese pizza from the kids menu is also yummy too. It's a soft bread-like pizza and had a lot of cheese. My husband tried the So Cal sandwich, and the UC banh mi. I stopped by this place to get a quick lunch before hitting the road on a road trip to El Centro and I did not expect to like this place so much! Everything they have is so good! I was recommended the Baja Enchilada soup and this soup is so creamy and balanced I'm in love it's so rich in flavor. Try it! My mom and I came in and we were both not ready to order. We were very indecisive because this was our first time and we had no idea what to get. The employees were extremely friendly and patient with us, answering any questions we had in a really respectful manner, and a bearded gentleman even gave us a sample for the Baja Enchilada soup he recommended (which I obviously loved). I would say this place is similar to a Panera, but much better in quality. There's so much to pick from. I can't wait to come back and try out their other stuff. Ordered through door dash. Received my order and after eating a few bites noticed a hair in my salad. So gross. I called in to let them know. Not even for a refund just to be more careful when prepping. Whoever answered the phone was very rude I began talking and then she decides I need to be put on hold. Picks up again and as I start talking she is ignoring me and starts talking with an employee or customer? Asked to speak to a manager and the manager is "to busy". I'm a paying customer to. Urbane Café is a small chain that serves sandwiches with bread baked in a wood fired oven on site, salads, and bowls. It is crisp and clean in appearance, and you can watch your food being prepared. All of the Visible utensils were plastic, and my salad automatically came with dressing in the side in a plastic sauce container with lid. I was dine in, so there was no need for that.
