Our favorite dish was definitely the pineapple fried rice full of flavor and really satisfying. The pad see ew and curry were good as well, but the edamame was our least favorite since it lacked seasoning. Overall, the food was decent, and the restaurant filled up quickly right when they opened at 5pm, which says a lot about its popularity. The service was amazing very kind and attentive and the atmosphere was quiet with a nice, cozy decor. I'd come back again, especially for that pineapple fried rice!

With over 91 donor partners of all organizations including HUNTINGTON BANK, AKRON POLICE DEPARTMENT, COCA COLA, AKRON LABORERS, GREEN CHAMBER OF CONGRESS, SUMMIT COUNTY ADM , and 10 CHURCHES, I was totally shocked, and disappointed with the behavior of the MANAGER who says her name is "LIZ". Liz is a dark haired woman, working second shift, who served disrespect instead of food today. I waited till she was done with another BLACK customer, (who says he was treated unfairly as well), and asked if I was able to have a plastic bag, because mine had broken. She watched me walk over to my bag and show her the rip, and in the most rude tone said," if u wait your turn I will get to you". As i did not want to engage in the low level unethical behavior she was displaying, the man in front of me offered me a bag. By that time , before she could "get to me" she seen him offer me a bag and tried to give me one. At this point I was tired of her ignorance and said ," no" before I could even finish my one word, she snatched the bag back. I asked her name and told her I was reporting her, she literally made a smug face and laughed. She told me she was the manager and "good luck with that". With this kind of disgusting attitude, she should not be a representation of the BROKEN CHAINS MINISTRY. This "manager" is broken. Unfortunately, there were two other ladies working there, observing her disposition. I'm wondering if they think that's ok? I called the church and left a message ,and will patiently wait for a response. To that manager, you were put in that position for a reason. If you are having a bad day,pray and gather yourself. If u no longer respect your job, people, QUIT. I do not recommend this establishment. read more

During my recent visit to Urbane Cafe, I had a mixed experience. While the food was good and the ambiance was pleasant, a couple of notable issues affected our overall impression. Firstly, the young lady taking our order seemed to have difficulty communicating clearly, which made the ordering process a bit frustrating. Additionally, her demeanor could have been more friendly than one would hope for in a customer service role. This lack of warmth and clear communication detracted from the overall enjoyment of our visit. Furthermore, the cleanliness issue with my daughter's plate could have been improved. She had food residue stuck to her plate and used her nail to scrape it off. Restaurants need to maintain high hygiene standards to ensure customer satisfaction, and this oversight was particularly concerning. On a positive note, the food was flavorful, and the menu offered a variety of options. The portion sizes were generous, and the BBQ sauce was delicious. In summary, while Urbane Cafe has its strengths, some areas need improvement to provide a consistently positive dining experience. Clear and friendly communication from all staff members and a focus on cleanliness are key areas for enhancement. I hope to see these improvements, as they will make me more inclined to revisit and recommend the establishment to others. read more

I really like Urbane Cafe. I personally think it's tastier than Panera, and you get a small salad with your sandwich anyway, without having to pay so much for it. My favorite thing here is the So Cal sandwich with arugula instead of "greens". Their Ahi Tuna salad (I think only temporary) was BOMB too! I haven't heard anyone complain about their menu, try it out! Service is pretty slow around here. But the time if day makes a difference usually. During the lunch boom there are all the businesses, the courthouse, and any hungry shopper all wanting to eat at these local places. But if you go a little later you'll still have about a 10 minute wait, a little long for a grab & go type place, but it's not too bad. The in between of fast food & sit down can make it confusing for timing. Definitely check this place out. read more

The service is consistently outstanding, and the food is always delicious, especially when prepared by Ruby! The cashiers are amazing and genuinely caring, making every visit a pleasure. I manage to go to every Urbane Cafe and today I decided to hit urbane Cafe in Ventura as I was strolling through this area. I can sadly say the environment there was not it. The lack of customer service was just not good. I was not even greeted by the girl in the front, that I later managed to get name was Sam. I even tried to order a cookie with my meal as you can never go wrong with the cookies, but im guessing you guys were too in a rush that you guys were just trying to get customers out the door. I normally have a great customer service in all Urbane Cafe's but I think I would be skipping this location. read more

they don't take cash. well guess what no more of my business. hmmmmmm no cash in the whole place they said. i don't use credit cards or debit cards because i've never needed to this is a form of discrimination towards people that use cash as a means of survival during this pandemic. it's all i have. what is this nazi Germany. felt very let down. i was so exited to eat here but no cash means no food for me. this business owners are showing signs that they got duped into the agenda for the no cash digital currency overall that is taking place across the globe. sad for them that they got them too. :( read more

It has to be said. My husband was addicted to Subway, and I can't STAND them. Constantly he'd yell out as he headed to the car "I'm going to Subway, you want something?" Ugh. No. Imagine then, my delight when a friend introduced me to Urbane Cafe. Salads and sandwiches that actually taste good! The bread is baked on-site and has a good, solid texture. It feels so much better than rushing to a fast food joint, but is just as speedy and convenient! My favorite is the Urbane Cafe Salad, hold the pecans, extra pears. This location is awesome!! I accidentally placed an online order to a different location and came to this one to pick up realizing afterwards it was the wrong location so they offered just to make it for me then and there as long as I showed them the confirmation email! They made it very fast and were super nice about it. The girl at the front also offered me a cookie while I was waiting. I have loved this place since it opened! I have changed my "favorite sandwich" many time and I actually have a few! Creative, fresh and always amazing sandwiches and salads! I love this place. You can never go there without seeing someone you know. It's part of Ventura's culture! I've never had a bad meal there. My only complaint is I never know what to order because there are so many amazing sandwiches and salads. Some of my favorites.. So Cal sandwich, Cobb salad and BBQ salad... Awesome sandwich spot! Always consistently delicious and creative dishes. Providing wood-fired flatbread rustic sandwiches that blasts with flavor. Drops off the new bread nice and burned and proceeded to pick up the untouched bread (1st one) says sorry and walks away Sucks because we go often because Oxnard location no longer is available and simply because he thought it was OK to drop that off is enough to lmk they don't care about my $ enough to make sure the bread is to standard. Thanks but no thanks btw the 2nd bread was left untouched.

I've…read morebeen to this plaza many times I've been to all the stores next to it and used to come here when it used to to be another business. To be totally honest, I was a little bit intimidated by how the process works. But I assume caught on that. It was almost like a chipotle kind of style place. I decided to go with a bowl. I was able to choose between three types of different bases, and I went with the basmati rice and the couscous was able to choose a couple of salad options as well. Luckily, we were able to mix and match since I can never make a decision on getting All three types of greens that they have. Then moved over to the hummus section and I was able to get the three most popular hummus flavors, which I actually don't remember what I got. I know one of them was an olive flavored one and another one was a little more spicy. Then over to the protein side of things, you can mix up to two different choices, and some of the other options there is an upgrade fee. Then removed over to the toppings and these are all unlimited and so I was able to get feta cheese, tomatoes, olives, purple cabbage, everything was so endless and amazing At the very end, you're able to choose two different kind of sauces and at the very end, my bowl was actually pretty heavy in weight but most importantly it was very delicious Thank you to the team member here that was very helpful and walked me through the process. I think I might've been too overwhelmed. Otherwise I might've just opted for the burger which I may still have to try next time. The sweet potato fries also look very good and I will have to try those next time for sure. There's a ton of parking spots right outside. I can't get a little bit busy here so she'll be so many different food options but generally, I haven't really had an issue with finding a spot.

We came here for Mother's Day breakfast with my family and were told the wait would only be about…read more10 minutes. Yes, it was busy, but honestly not nearly as packed as other places we had seen, so we decided to stay and wait. After about 30 minutes, we noticed multiple big groups being seated before us. My husband checked in again just to make sure we were still on the list. Then another 15 minutes passed, and I finally went up myself, only to find out we had never actually been checked in at all. At that point, I was frustrated and honestly embarrassed for my family because we had already waited so long with hungry kids, checking in multiple times, only to realize we had basically been forgotten. To their credit, I think the manager realized the mistake and got us seated pretty quickly after that. Once seated, the service was okay, but the food was unfortunately very underwhelming for the price. By then we were starving, so we ate most of it, but nothing besides the pancakes really stood out. Most of the food tasted bland and basic. The hostess seemed very inexperienced, and our waitress also seemed irritated when we asked to change one dish shortly after ordering. My advice would be to double-check several times that you are actually checked in if your name hasn't been called. And if you do eat here, stick with the pancakes. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back.
