Urbanite is the best place in Portland to find all kinds of unique and high quality vintage items. Furniture, artwork, books, everything. Not only that, their staff are so incredibly kind and helpful. Love this place so much. I was prepared for high prices, but I found most of the prices to be reasonable. If you're into MCM, the prices are equivalent to Palm Springs. There was a great variety of Stiles and time. Throughout the vendor booth. It was all nicely displayed and the most amazing thing is that there is free parking. read more

One of my absolute favorite stores in Portland. I remember the very first time coming to the shop after moving to Portland. I was blown away by the unique selection of quality vintage and secondhand (they have new goods too.) I now return at least once or twice a month and never leave empty handed. I've gotten to know some of my favorite vendors and they always deliver on amazing goods! I'm lucky to now sell my own line of jewelry at Urbanite. One of the things I love to do with my mamma is go to antique stores. We don't do it often because of busy schedules but, when we do it's a blast. We usually hit the ones we know but on this occasion we decided to check out new shops. My mamma and I had a blast just walking through this place and taking everything in. The place is clean, friendly and welcoming. They have really cute antique stuff. If I had my own home I'd probably buy items from this place. I fell in love with a dinner table they had. This is our favorite place to visit when we come to Portland. We stumbled across it a few months back and have come back a couple of times since. The staff is incredibly helpful and are always there to answer questions. Just picked up a table and stools we found over the weekend. The store seems cool but DO NOT give them anything to consign. We dropped off a dining room table in February 2020. With COVID, closures, etc, we did not follow up until 2021. We have been calling and emailing for months now. The employees assure us that the table has most definitely sold as they do not hold onto furniture for very long, however, we were never informed and the owner/manager will not get back to us. When we call, the employees basically tell us that they will keep passing the message along but they have no control over whether anyone (i.e. the owner) will follow up. From what we have been told when we call, this happens quite a bit and the owner is just "all over the place" so there's really no way to get answers or get payment for your furniture. They will steal from you, do not give them anything to sell!!! read more

I love the way everything is clean and displayed artfully. It's not the typical antique mall or flee market. Things are not cluttered or jammed together. There is everything from furniture, home decor, vintage clothing, jewelry, to unique gift items. There were so many things I wanted to take home, but most would not fit into my suitcase. So many things to love about this store: 1. Different and interesting things that you don't see everywhere else. 2. Items priced effectively. I have been buying antique and vintage for 30 years, and I love it when I pay a price that feels right- high enough to reflect the quality of the item and low enough to not feel like I am paying the Portland premium. 3. Friendly and thoughtful customer service. 4. Good organization. I know where to find things and I never feel like I have stepped into a hoarder's nest. 5 Functional antiques- stuff that has a purpose. 6. Interesting art. 7. Nothing too kitschy and twee. 8. They differentiate between real and reproduction. I could have filled a house with all the cool things I saw. I will be back when I have a lot more time and a little more money! read more

Spent part of my morning strolling through this spacious establishment. I visited them on their grand opening and have been shopping here ever since. They have achieved an eye-catching mix of vendors and goods, and I don't believe the place has ever looked better. Kudos to the management and dealers who keep Urbanite looking fresh and stylish. We arrived to some very hospitable people at the door, and indeed throughout the store as we ran into various vendors displaying their wares. We had no idea it was as big a space as it is. Music piped throughout the store contributed extremely well to the ambiance of the place. We didn't plan to stay long, but found ourselves perusing the many and varied collections much longer for all the fabulous finds! This vast enterprise was created with such great taste and an obviously energetic work ethic. I hear that the proprietor once designed interiors for Ralph Lauren. Cool place for people with good taste. I try to make it here every couple of months as the inventory changes fast. The place is filled with different vendors. Some are really really out there on price and some are reasonable, just like everywhere. Overall really solid selection of interesting home decor. Nice variety of big and small items. Workers are hipsters but really nice ones not wannabe pretentious at all. Bonus they have a parking lot that always has open spaces. read more

Fun array of vintage pieces from various eras. Lot's of repurposed industrial components, old signs, etc. There is a wide variety of price points - some seem like a pretty good deal, others are horrifically overpriced. We liked the mid century modern furniture, lamps and such. They also have some nice "old Portland" pieces such as adverting calendars and ashtray from bygone businesses. The building isn't air conditioned, or at least insufficiently air conditioned, so its muggy on a hot summer afternoon. read more
