The lettuce was super fresh and the chicken was shockingly really well seasoned and cooked. for $14 i did expect high quality and wasn't disappointed. Obviously $14 is pretty steep for a small salad with chicken but tbh the quality was pretty impressive. This is the only Urth Cafe I've been too, but it's a solid healthy option in Terminal 1. The breakfast burrito is simple and tasty, the bar is inviting, and the dirty matcha is a pretty interesting beverage that I like to revisit from time to time. There for a layover from Honolulu, we were able to order a couple of coffee drinks and chill out at the bar, watching sports. I've ordered from Urth before, so I was so excited to find one at the airport! I was able to get some food while I waited for my flight, and I was so glad I did. Pastry options! Quiches! Sandwiches galore! Very fun option, vegetarian friendly. I also got an iced Spanish latte (running through the airport makes ya sweat yknow), and it was very yummy and refreshing, I'm always tentative to get coffee from places because sometimes it's not the right ratio for me (I prefer it sweeter and not so caffeine/acidity heavy), and it hit the spot! (Just noticed the main review page listed as Urth Caffe and Bar) My boo liked her tea. My caffe latte was pretty good. 3 stars on that front. Croissant was only so-so and my breakfast sandwich was only OK. They came out relatively fast. 3 stars there. But Joel has a 5 star vibe that lifts the whole place. And if you have a good attitude, the rest of the staff is friendly too. While sitting at the bar and watching the counter, I did notice some travelers who had really bad attitudes that the staff was relatively curt with. All the nice people received great service. Hmmmm... There's usually a line. If you worked here, how much time would you spend with the a-holes backing things up for everyone else? So maybe you should check your own attitude if you're not feeling the love. Maybe not just here, but everywhere you go. Karma is a thing. What are your intentions in the world? Some may see the restaurateur's success was finally epitomized by securing a place in an international airport. A most pleasant surprise nestled in my mind that having a favorite place to fall back on when traveling out of LAX. Unfortunately, the delivery is all in the execution. The inconsistency in service, availability of products, and quality of my favorite drinks and foods have deterred me from any more praise I am accustomed to giving to a favorite name. Tried this place for the very first time and it did not disappoint . Food was fresh, delicious and healthy. Service was smooth and fast. I would have liked if you were able to order at your table when dining in. There is a line for ordering but for first timers it becomes a bit confusing as u need to grab a Menu as see what interests you. Feels pressured when u have people waiting to order. Yesterday I ordered a toasted everything bagel and a green tea latte. I received my drink within a few minutes. However it took over 10 minutes for my bagel. She didn't even begin toasting it until I stood up to look at her. Meanwhile all the orders that came after mine, which were actual sandwiches, came out before mine. She finally gets to me and kind of just slides my bagel over in my direction and walks away. I asked for butter.....crickets! I got an iced vanilla latte before my flight, if you order iced it has to be the large size which was fine with me. It was on the pricier side but most things in the airport are so I was fine with it. It was a good latte and good for before my flight. When at the airport, I'm first and foremost looking for fast, efficient service. Secondly, great food. This place delivered. We walked up to a very crowded area, the bartender Adrian helped us find a spot and also waited on us outside the bar area. He was super fast and brought the tab right away, came back around a few times to check on us and tab us out. The menu states the latte is best in the world, I'm not sure about that, but it was pretty darn tasty and smooth. Brilliant idea--taking a conscientious coffee shop with house made baked goods, salads, and sandwiches and giving people more options at the airport other than beer and burgers. I've had their coffee and baked goods several years ago in LA and yes--the experience is different than going to their store. However, the quality of food and drinks remain the same. We ordered the Rising matcha drink hot & cold, gluten free mix berry muffin, raspberry danish, and turkey pesto sandwich. They were all amazing. Customer service here was genuine and thoughtful. The only downside is that they're located at an airport and they're not going to have the menu selection as a store front. My husband wanted the chicken curry sandwich but they had sold out. A lot more expensive than your regular Urth Cafe since its located at an airport. It is at Southwest's Terminal 1 and it will be on your left when you see the rest of the food court area. I got a bacon quiche almost $14 and a green tea latte almost $6, they also automatically charge a employee wellness fees. A bit pricey for breakfast. I do like how the quiche is warm up and it's definitely shareable. In the busy early morning they still do have some chairs and tables available. If you want more affordable options try Chic Fila or Coffee Bean. read more
