If there were zero stars, I'd give that... if you could place negative stars, I'd most likely say that place is a perfect vacuum. I have a post office box, a service I pay for so that I can prevent the thieves who steal packages off doorsteps from doing so, and instead, my packages are constantly held captive by the post office. In a normal delivery, they either place the package in a keyed package box and provide the key in your inbox... or they place a card in your box allowing you to pick it up at the counter... more often then not, no card is in the box, and no key is in the box... and you have to go strong arm them into searching for your package. It is no wonder that the US Postal Service is failing miserably, it is the simplest of tasks to sort and place items into slots/boxes et al, and yet they cannot even do that correctly... these people are slowly sucking my will to live out of me by their ineptness, and lack of professional job performance.... UPDATE: Well... after no less than 7 calls to the BWPO, someone finally answered. I provided a USPS tracking number for my latest hostage situation, and the woman said that it had a card in my box and was ready for pick up. Great, only 7 days late from when UPS delivered the package to them last week... but better late than never. Squeeze went and picked up the box, and I arrived home only to find out that it was a different parcel, and they STILL had not delivered the package to me (card in my box, or key in my box) as of today, a full week later after UPS delivered the parcel to them at the BWPO. I tapped out, called REI, and they are sending me a new potential hostage victim, however, I chose pick up in store instead, as I do not trust the USPS to perform the ONE THING THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO... They have ONE JOB.... DELIVER PACKAGES AND MAIL.... EPIC FAIL, THEY ARE BEYOND A PERFECT VACUUM, IN FACT THEY SUCK SO BAD, THAT BLACK HOLES CANNOT COMPETE WITH THEM.... UPDATE #2: SUCCESS.... ERRRR SUCK-CESSPOOL... today they miraculously found my package.... I called REI and cancelled that replacement order, which was easy compared to dealing with these numbskulls... how is it that a package mailed before another ordered parcel is not proffered up until a day AFTER the second order arrived and was delivered? Nevermind that... how is it that when my squeeze went yesterday and picked up the second package, the REI package was not noticed and proffered up as well? I'll tell you how... those people are morons... they have no clue as to what customer service is about... they have no pride in their craft... in fact, they stomp all over the storied history of the US Postal Service... in fact, "going postal" is now a derogatory term for killing people... that should tell you everything you need to know about them... NOT RAIN, NOR SLEET, NOR GLOOM OF NIGHT... just stupidity is all it takes these days to not deliver the mail... read more

We have some good mail deliveries and some bad ones depends on the person's appreciation of the job. as of right now we have some one who doesn't care and either doesn't deliver mail or puts it in the wrong mail box so they don't have to get out of the truck. Now I know they technically don't have to get out of the truck on certain routes. And as myself I am a garbage man and there is some customers who make it more difficult to pick up the trash but as a person who appreciates my job and understands that picking up cans is what I do I get out of the truck (even though I don't have too) and make the cans to where it's easier for me to pick up. So my main point of this review if there is a obstacle in front of you DO YOUR JOB AND DELIVER MAIL. It is not that hard to get out of the truck to deliver mail. read more

I dread going to this place . And I've been having to for all the big packages i receive and passport renewal And every single time all the old ladies are the rudest grumpiest ladies ever. Was in the area when I realized I still had orders in the car that needed to be mailed so this was the closest post office near me. Spacious and very clean, I was able to get in and out in about 7 minutes because I used the self-serve kiosk. I LOVE THE SELF-SERVE KIOSK but may I suggest the possibility of leaving some priority mail stickers at the kiosk so that you don't have to ask at the counter. No complaints, thank you USPS. read more

Horrible. That's all I can really say. The employees are usually rude and short. I get that they are short staffed and probably over worked... but don't take it out on the customers. Wow. It's just crazy how rude some of these people are. My last interaction was with the lady at the counter who told me my package had not yet been delivered - despite the tracking info from the USPS saying it had indeed been delivered. She was unwilling to go check a second time for my package because "they don't make those kinds of mistakes". I asked to speak with a supervisor. Low and behold... my package was placed in someone else's box. Weird eh? I mean really. I wouldn't have been so upset if it was a t shirt or something, but I had ordered an expensive item, that needed to be signed for, that they just "accidentally" put in someone else's box. Smh. Omg this location has worse customer service. They are slow, rude, untrained and demanding. If you can use UPS services instead of USPS. I called to do passport and they said just show up, no appointment or anything between 10 to 3pm. I got there 2:25 waited for 10 minutes then a guy show up asking for waiting more at 2:45 a lady shows up telling me she can not accept my document since there is one customer ahead of me!! Hello we both were standing there for long time and no one was doing any thing, I wouldn't mind if she was helping some one else not sitting in the back drinking her coffee and ignoring customers. The service in this Post Office is by far the worst. In the last couple of month they have send my mail back to the sender as P.O. Box close or wrong address on my physical address. We have lived in the same house since 1980. We never have any problems until the last few months. We have filed several complaints and the problem continuous. read more

Absolutly terrible service, i called all day long and the "line was busy". when the line finally was not busy someone answered the phone just to hang up. They have a new mail truck driver who is absolutly reckless, running stop signs, speeding through my neighborhood, even missing mail boxes! This idiot driving the mail truck dident even realize that my flag was up, left the outgoing mail in my box, put the incoming mail on top of my outgoing, than sped off almost hitting a kid on my street. Hey Brentwood PO, you guys are the best really. I've never had such amazing customer service at any PO and really would never even expect the way you always go above and beyond. I have a small home business with many packages coming and going all the time and have had my share of lost/damaged items. Today I received an empty envelope that was supposed to contain supplies, and was told by the Postal Inspector there was nothing they could do due to lack of insurance. Called my local PO and Janell was most helpful, offering to check the office for loose items in case they had fallen out of the package. She didn't find my item, but said I could follow up again and she would keep an eye out for it. Of course I'm unhappy about the missing item, but being treated in such a helpful and respectful fashion is commendable. This is one of many times they've been so amazing, and I never hesitate to call in if there's a problem because I know they'll do their best to remedy it. Thank you Brentwood PO! read more

Go to any other post office besides this one! Seriously! The employees are so rude and you have to wait in a huge line no matter what time you come in. I went to drop off a package, that the shipping was already paid for. I had to buy a bag to put the item in, so I printed the return label and went it to buy a bag and drop it off. As I was waiting in the line I was witnessing how rude the employees were to every single person that went up to the counter. Never did one say hello or how can I help you. They talked to each person in line like they were a nuisance for just being there. I got to the counter, where I wasn't greeted either, and told the lady I needed to buy the bag and I have the return label to tape on the top. She responded "We don't provide tape to tape the label on, you have to go over to that wall and purchase a whole roll and get back in line." There was a package tape roll sitting right on the counter next to her and I just waited forever in the line. I just needed two small strips to tape the label on. I responded " Oh ok, I'll just go back home and tape it on myself cause I don't need a whole roll." Instead of driving the 20min home and back just to tape a label on, I decided to drive 2min to the Knightsen post office where they happily taped the label on for me and sent the package off. No wonder this post office has such bad reviews. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else besides this place. read more

I have a PO box here and get my workman's comp checks sent here. They are always late and when I finally asked what the problem was, the lady that I spoke to said that the person who sorts the mail is 2 or 3 days behind because they are understaffed. I don't check my box every single day unless I am expecting something but there have been times I have went at least 4 days in a row and my box has been completely empty every time, there was not even junk mail in it. This is wrong I have a PO box because mail has been stolen from my home and I figured that this would be better but I was wrong. read more

However, I have had multiple problems with their vacation mail hold service, and premium forwarding service., We have also had a constant problem with mis-delivered mail for more than 10 years.The situation does not appear to be improving. Brentwood Post office Unique Zip Department are supposed to avail mail for collection by several company couriers between 06:00 to 06:30 AM. For the month of September 2013 they have been late and sometimes as late as 07:15. I wonder if the management is aware of this and if they can do something about it. Most couriers start to come in to collect mail at 5:30 AM. From my experience, it is the role of management to rectify problem areas before they cause unwanted outcome. A few video survelance could bring to light the weak service areas. I see unsupervised employees nap on duty, sit and chat about games while customers are waiting. It is time to hire an outside contractor who can run things more efficiently at 20% or 30% less cost. read more

Worst experience ever, if this were a business they would be filing BK a long time ago. After waiting 3 months for an appointment, went to renew my sons passport, filled all the paperwork out online and printed everything via color laser printer, some miserable large lady looked at the papers and said, "what are these", I said they are the application papers from the gov website, she said without looking through them, they are no good, fill this out by hand and come back at the next appointment in 2-3 months, I said these papers are correct, but she said no. I left very upset and went home and did the form yet again, printed the same set of forms again, but this time I looked through them and noticed the first few pages print in a different color than the DS-11 which is a few pages back, they were RIGHT all the time, yet this woman with an attitude just did not want to do anything, lazy at best. Had she actually taken the time to look at the papers printed from the GOV website, she would of seen they were correct. What a nasty place to go to, felt like a criminal the way I was talked down to. We set up an appointment in the Oakley store, very nice people there, never ever go to the Oak Street Post Office. read more

Just got off the phone with someone at the Brentwood post office, as I was trying to see what I need to do to get my mail picked up and delivered without having to drive to the post office. I leave my outgoing mail in my mailbox, but the postal worker just leaves it there. The lady at the post office attempted to be polite, but she said there is really nothing they can do because the postal worker's job is to deliver the mail and there is no obligation for them to pick up the outgoing mail. If I can't flag him (her word, not mine) down every day to hand him my outgoing mail, my only option is to spend extra money and install another mail box AFTER pursuant to post office guidelines and after the post office approves the install. She admitted this would be somewhat expensive and time consuming. So the only way for me to mail anything is to drive to the post office. I'm sure once they take over health care and we get our medical services from the U.S. Department of Health Care, everything will be fine - since we'll all be dead. To quote the late, great, Milton Friedman - if the U.S. government was in charge of the Sahara Desert, in five years there would be a sand shortage. read more
