Very unhelpful location. I received a failure to deliver notice on a package when I was out of town with very little information as to who it was sent by (just said 'China'). When I went to this location I was told it had been returned to sender as it was there beyond their 14 day retention period. I was told with a shrug it was gone, back to 'China' as listed on the slip. No other information like what distribution center/actual address it was returned to nor what delivery service USPS initially received it from or transferred it to. I don't know if it's because USPS doesn't record any of that information or if the employee just didn't want to look for it, but it was very disappointing. read more

This is the first United States Postal Service office I've come across, in about 7 years, to refuse to ship a vinyl record as media mail. Although it's listed clearly on the USPS website that media mail includes sound recordings such as CDs, I guess this office has different rules. I don't normally go to this location, but I was in the area, but after the poor experience, I decided to read some of the reviews, and wow, they're not making it up! Nishia was the clerk who served me, and just told me to go ask her supervisor Kim, who just repeated the same script. I shipped it media mail this morning, at a different location without any issues. I guess either they start doing their jobs, or small books and music stores are gonna have to charge $15 to ship orders. read more

First time to this post office. Never expected to have to walk into it. I was looking to simply drop the mail into the Meter Mail mail box at their drive up mail boxes. That's what I am used to doing in my hometown. Did not notice any drive up mail boxes at this location though which surprised me. Maybe, I missed them?So, I parked into the lot and walked into the post office instead. It is rather small and old. Employee who assisted me was pleasant and helpful. I was trying to return a package that had a pre paid label on it and she wouldn't take it said I had to pay extra because it was in a different box when I didn't want to pay for the additional she got attitude. I can't believe this post office has decided to lock the gate to the loading dock and also close off half the parking lot. I've been going here for years. As a commercial shipper of several parcels every day, I was encouraged long ago to drive around to the back and place my parcels on the loading dock. To bring parcels inside to the office, I would have to make several trips or bring a big cart or something. I've done this for years with no incidents. And this post office can get busy, with never enough parking at busy times. Customers have always had space available around back to use for these busy times, and since the parking lot is basically a one-way entrance, customers used this lot to turn around to exit as well. Now... the gate to the back is closed and locked. I must now bring a dolly or hand truck, park if there is a space, load my stuff onto my cart and walk my parcels all the way across the parking lot, through the lobby, and into the office. I'm sure the other customers in line don't want to see me coming with all that stuff. Also, with the gate closed the parking lot stops abruptly and you can stuck at the back with no way out. I've seen it already. GRIDLOCK where no one can move, park, turn around. It's ridiculous. Who made this stupid decision? Good grief... read more

Worst mail carrier I have ever had. We have a newborn baby at home and spent a small fortune on pictures of the baby at the hospital. Finally after weeks of anticipation and hundreds of dollars spent the pictures arrive. On the packaging it specifically says do not gold, handle with care. So where does this clown leave the package? Next to the box inside our picket fence or by the front door? No he feels the proper spot for them is laying on the blacktop in the street. So I'm basically ready to blow a gasket. Ended up the pictures were way over edited so they were to be redone. So this diffuses my anger for the meantime. Today the remastered photos arrive in same said envelope as last time. Wow the photos aren't in the middle of the street, awesome!!! Instead they are folded down the center and stuffed in there. I will definitely be calling and filing a formal complaint after the weekend. And if your reading this's dikhed, do your fing job so I don't have to explain that it's your duty to handle and care for mine and everyone's packages. The Buena Park post office needs to get their act together. I chose to allocate 50,000 of my yearly spend on shipping towards the post office in good faith to contribute and help a budget-constrained federal program. 3 years ago, we used only FedEx except for mail and PO Box shipments. And they thank us by CHOOSING TO IGNORE our requests for pick-up despite making online requests and calling in SEVERAL TIMES to remind them. They gave us a lot of crap for asking our reliable mail carrier, Ken, to come back in the afternoon on his way back to pickup the packages that we have. I called them 2 days ago and complained about their apparent inappreciativeness and unwillingness to service us with a pick-up, and I was told by a supervisor to schedule a pick-up online daily because they plan their day in the morning. Well that's what I did. Being that this coming Monday, 1/18/2016 is MLK for the post office (getting paid to stay at home), we busted our butts working this Saturday during our heaviest month of the hear to get about 300 USPS packages out. After calling several times, at noon, then at 4:45pm, and later at 5:45pm when the pick-up has yet to arrive, NO ONE SHOWED UP. I paid my warehouse guy an extra hour to wait when he should've gone home at 5pm. And I now had him do the unnecessary task of bringing all the packages back inside the warehouse gate. You advertise about your reliability, but clearly you are unfit to serve the professional community. Our clients who rely on our government required products, that need to be delivered in a timely manner because of legal requirements, now have to wait an extra few days because of this VERY POOR DISPLAY OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. Jamare just told me that my prepaid shipping label was too small and the barcode would not scan and told me to re-print the shipping label bigger. This is literally the 35th time I use the same size shipping label and it scans EVERY TIME. Not sure if he is in a bad mood today but I'm not going to argue or even question him on this fine Friday. I have complained about them several times but nothing happens. Jun 9, 2020 when I went to check my P. O. BOX , I was shocked to see that the box was broken and some mail which I was expecting were missing. It has also happened before in this post office that they frequently put mail in the wrong boxes. This has resulted in my identity theft because of their negligence. On June 9th, 2020. I stood in the long line to tell the front desk about my broken P. O. Box. After 20 minutes when my turn came, the clerk gave me the card to fill up to hold mail for one month. When I asked her who is going to repair the box she asked me to wait for the supervisor. When the supervisor Kimberly came, she was not sympathetic. She sounded like she did not care. She gave me the phone number 877-876-2475 to call the postal inspector and she didn't tell me when they are going to repair the box which has been vandalized. I'm paying for this P.O.BOX to Buena Park Post office every year its their responsibility to repair the box and take care of the missing mail. Then she started talking about her personal stuff with a guy who was just leaving, I wanted to ask her a question but she ignored me. OMG! I couldn't believe her behavior. When I called the number today 877-876-2475 the recording said, "Unfortunately service is not available in your area please contact your utility company directly for further help". OMG! Came in on a calm Saturday afternoon. Approached the desk and informed Jamare I needed to send documents via certified mail. Other post offices have handed me the envelope along with slip. Jamare on the other hand gave me the snarkiest look and says, "get an envelope" without any other direction. I turn away and look around for the items myself. While filling out the slip, he and Neisha begin to berate another female employee in regards to her break. There, in the open, in front of other customers. Since I'm new to the area my gps brought me here and I have to say the parking is interesting. I was fortunate to see someone leaving so I didn't have to go bananas looking for parking. Went in and right in front of me was the kiosk waiting to be used and I was able to get my stamps and get back on the road in a jippy. So happy as u hate driving in traffic. read more

Ok. The workers here are tired. They don't care because they're tired. It's like taking care of kids all day. Some parents get this attitude because they're tired. There human too... They always have this look ~like when your in-laws call and show up with no warning and the kids and the house are upside down! Really? This review is strictly based on the customer service I received today. I went in about 5:30pm and was initially "helped" by Jamar. I told him I needed to send something certified mail. It has been awhile since I've needed to send anything certified and when I did, the sales associate provided me with the slips I needed to do so. This WAS NOT the case here! Jamar pointed in a direction and rudely told me to "get the slips over there". I responded, "I'm sorry, where?" He raised his voice louder and in an even more rude and disrespectful tone, told me "over there!" with eye rolls. This is NOT right!! This is VERY unprofessional behavior and something needs to be done about this! As I went over to fill out the slip an elderly Asian woman came in holding several small boxes and asked Jamar for his help. He blatantly refused to help her and responded "No, if everyone else can do it, so can you." Seriously??? What kind of parents raised this person?? Absolutely ZERO respect for people, and even worse, the elderly!! I had a difficult time focusing on what I had to do because I was just enraged from what I just experienced and from what I was witnessing. This place doesn't seem to be a healthy, working environment. Thankfully, when I was done filling out my slip and ready to be helped by an associate, I was able to be TRULY HELPED by Ridel. For his customer service, knowledge and courtesy I give RIDEL 5 stars!!!... so thank you for at least allowing me to leave with some hope for this location. Other than that, management needs to let Jamar go!! However, it appears that complaints have been written about this asshole since 2019 and he's obviously still there with the same NASTY, UGLY attitude and no regard for a human being, so maybe the main corporate office needs to take a closer look at management's poor way of handling employees like this. read more

She was so calm and patient with me. Answering all my questions and concerns.
