This review is strictly based on the customer service I received today. I went in about 5:30pm and was initially "helped" by Jamar. I told him I needed to send something certified mail. It has been awhile since I've needed to send anything certified and when I did, the sales associate provided me with the slips I needed to do so. This WAS NOT the case here! Jamar pointed in a direction and rudely told me to "get the slips over there". I responded, "I'm sorry, where?" He raised his voice louder and in an even more rude and disrespectful tone, told me "over there!" with eye rolls. This is NOT right!! This is VERY unprofessional behavior and something needs to be done about this! As I went over to fill out the slip an elderly Asian woman came in holding several small boxes and asked Jamar for his help. He blatantly refused to help her and responded "No, if everyone else can do it, so can you." Seriously??? What kind of parents raised this person?? Absolutely ZERO respect for people, and even worse, the elderly!! I had a difficult time focusing on what I had to do because I was just enraged from what I just experienced and from what I was witnessing. This place doesn't seem to be a healthy, working environment. Thankfully, when I was done filling out my slip and ready to be helped by an associate, I was able to be TRULY HELPED by Ridel. For his customer service, knowledge and courtesy I give RIDEL 5 stars!!!... so thank you for at least allowing me to leave with some hope for this location. Other than that, management needs to let Jamar go!! However, it appears that complaints have been written about this asshole since 2019 and he's obviously still there with the same NASTY, UGLY attitude and no regard for a human being, so maybe the main corporate office needs to take a closer look at management's poor way of handling employees like this. read more

Luckily, I have never encountered unprofessional employees when I talk to them face to face. They have always answered my questions promptly and have assisted me in all my mailing needs. Even when talking to them on the phone they are helpful and got straight to the point. I do understand customers frustration about rude workers because I have seen them first hand from other customers. I suggest do not come here an hour to closing time because they will rush you and might not be as attentive simply because they want to leave on time. However, when it comes to delivering packages they always (and I mean ALWAYS) get our zip code wrong for deliveries!! This happens a couple times a year and my delivery date would be 2-3 days late as it works its way back to having the right zip code. The person or machine who is inputting the numbers it in the system gets one number wrong and it messes up the tracking information completely. I would have to call them and if I am lucky pick it up myself before it leaves the warehouse as it heads off in the wrong address. It is not a big deal for the packages to arrive a couple days late, but when you have to go there at an inconvenient time and paid for faster shipping (only to get it 2 days later) then it becomes a hassle and a big headache. After all these issues, I have received all my packages and they never lost any of them so that is a plus. The parking here is very small and if you are planning to be in and out that will not happen on a busy time frame. This is an older post office and many of the signs are either faded or the wrong information and they do not update it for years. So definitely ask questions to make sure you are getting the right information that way you will avoid rude services on your visit. I had a package I was expecting today and it never got to me, it said it was out for delivery so I was sure it was getting to me today. Did I get it? No! Why? Because our mail person is LAZY AF ! I checked on the informed delivery app and it says the mailman had "no access" to deliver the package , uhm excuse me by you don't need access to enter our apartments. For one the front gate is open everyday and he should know that since he drops off the mail and has access everyday, now if the package didn't fit in the mailbox I'd expect him to look for the apartment number and drop it off in the front, but nope couldn't even do that. I needed to mail some stuff to mom and another place. I yelped Post offices close to the hotel and this one popped up. I didn't read reviews on it because I was not in any hurry so it didn't matter to me how long I waited or anything. Google maps did take me to the neighborhood directly behind it so I had to figure out where it was and almost drove past it. There was plenty of parking and I didn't have to fight anyone for a spot. I already had one priority box I brought from home. I didn't see the boxes to the right as you walk in to where the mailboxes are. So inside the post office the priority boxes are on the right. The only inconvenience is that is where everyone lines up for passports. I put my stuff on the table and packed up my 2 boxes and noticed I needed tape for one. I hoped that the worker would just put a little for me so I didn't have to use a whole roll. I got lucky and had a very nice lady helpig me. She put plenty of tape for me. I'm going to try filing a lawsuit towards this post office, I get missing mail, and when I go and ask for it they have no answers and don't matter to check for me, when I call the 1800 number they tell me to go in and ask them about it, and the employees tells me "the 1800 number doesn't know sh*t about what goes on in the actual store." This review is for their passport service. Avoid this location if you could help it! First of all, the guy is always MIA. It took me 3 visits to finally meet him in person. He was NEVER there. They really should really change it to by appointments only, and stop wasting everyone's time!!! I am sure he has a lot of leave like all government employees. But having a counter with no one there most of time is such a waste. Secondly, I finally met him today, but he would let you wait by the counter forever without any acknowledgement. He was at the mail counter where he could see me waiting, but he still took forever to get to me. If we were lucky, this guy may retire soon! My true rating is a 0/10 Package I needed for this Thursday the 25th was originally to be delivered on Saturday, Feb 20th. The package was not delivered which I was understanding of and the delivery date was changed to Monday. On Monday, the tracking status showed "Delivered" however no package was delivered. I called in Tuesday and Valerie advised that she knew about my package and was sorry for the delay and would have it delivered that day. No delivery on Tuesday so I called in this morning, Wednesday Feb 24th. I got on the line with the same person and she hung up on me. I called back as was repeatedly hung up on. I had to call 8 or 9 times to finally get her to stop hanging up on me. Now she says she doesn't know where the package is and was not polite at all when delivering the news. This is not the only problem I've had with this location, I'm just finally fed up and want my experience to be publicly known. Side note: Doesn't the package have to be scanned when delivered to update the tracking info? Why would the package still be at the USPS location getting scanned as if it were delivered? This makes me think there is thievery afoot. Overall: - Losing packages - Hung up on too many times for it to not be intentional - Blatantly lied about my package on the first phone call - Very snarky and rude attitude when expressing my dissatisfaction - Definitely not the first negative interaction with this location And Valerie if you're reading this, when I said I would submit feedback regarding your service.. For the people who work inside the office I would give a full 5 stars. They've always been helpful. For the mail carriers I'm giving one star. I order things online every so often. And it's becoming more and more of a habit for my mail carriers to not deliver my packages. I also don't receive my mail quite often. And when I do, it's been pre-opened. Things like my bank statements, car payments, debit cards, and W2 forms. They all are either pre-opened or do not arrive at all. My mailbox can only be opened with a key, so it isn't my neighbors doing this stuff. But back to packages, I'll get notices that no one was home for delivery when I've been sitting at home waiting all day for my mail. Sometimes they don't even give me a notice. If it wasn't for tracking numbers I'd have no idea what happened to my stuff. Other times they'll write what time I can come in to the office to pick up my things and when I arrive I'm told that my packages are still on that persons truck and to try again tomorrow. This USPS lost my package which came with a signature confirmation that I did not even sign for. I check online and it says it was delivered and signed with a squiggly signature. I've been to this office several times just to mail some package and all the times that I have been there, they have been very helpful and their service was quick. The staff are friendly and even willing to spend a few extra minutes to provide you with the best option available to get your mail delivered. Even if you changed your mind in the middle of the transaction, they don't seem to mind and are even patient with you. To top it off, they also have the automated system if you don't want to deal with the long lines and I think that is excellent and hassle free. I would come back to this post office if I ever need to get some business done, no doubt! Btw, I was there on a Saturday and a couple came in to get their passports done but the post office counter for passports do not operate on Saturdays. The employee was kind enough to let them know to head over to the public library less than a mile away to get it done. I added a tip that has some background to this post. 1 star due to some frustration, wasted time going back and forth with their instructions. Long story short, received a notice stating package would be at post office on 6/7, I got there end of day 6/6 just in case they sort it early. Was told to come 6/7 9 am (circled it on my paper giving me a look like, "don't you know how to read?") Went along my way, came around 930 and man there are lines here, due to passport processing. Got the same clerk who told me to come 6/7 (that day) she went to look for my package, came back told me it wasn't here maybe went to get re delivered and I should talk to the courier. Looked up the tracking and the nervousness kicks in cause now it says it's in City of Industry. She says that's not right I don't know why. I go back to my office, catch the courier just leaving our compound. He recognizes me and says "did you get your package ? I left it there with Gary the supervisor" Now I'm confused, so I figure I'll go back later in the day to sort it out. All around 9 30 - 1030 am Close up shop and head to post office again around 130pm get there and same amount of people. Now I explain the situation to Linda the supervisor, she goes back and checks for my package and comes back saying it's not here, must be out on delivery. I then explained again that I already came here in the morning (after instructed to the previous day) and caught up with the courier (after being instructed to by clerk that morning) and he told me to speak with Gary (Supervisor) as he knows where the package is. She said he's not available he's out managing drivers. I've re-run the situation and told her the tracking shows it's in the City of Industry, (clerk printed out a detailed report on the kiosk) goes back again to check. After what seemed like a few pencil twirls, comes back and says it's here but not sorted yet and shows package just got here this morning and should be out for delivery Monday and disregards that i only came because of a notice left at the office 6/6. So much for short, I wanted to let whomever read this know that I wasn't riled up or angry while writing this out. There's obviously a disconnect between the courier/driver and their own supervisor and the supervisor in the office (which doesn't make sense) I was consistently just given no answers and consistently wasted my time. I wouldn't so frustrated if my package didn't affect our business and money impacting. If the office can't handle passport services, don't offer it. If a supervisor can't provide resolution or mitigation nor have the patience to do so, don't supervise. If a clerk cannot have the patience to work with someone trying to get a package out or what not, don't work a job where you deal with numerous people every day! let's be honest, USPS if it fits ships prices have gone up and aren't much cheaper if at all than the alternatives and if you can't uphold delivery times or be a reliable logistics company. A postal worker named Ridel the window agent saved my day. I missed an international package on Saturday on February 23, 2019. It was a perishable package, so I could not wait until the following Monday. I went to the post office and a nice guy, Ridel told me to come back to the office before 4:50 p.m. as they close the office at 5:00 p.m. I went back to the office on 4:30 p.m. Another window agent who wanted to help me took my paper, told me there was no package in the office, and informed me that I needed to come back on Monday. I told him that it was a perishable package and I needed to pick it up that day. He told me I'll be lucky if the post delivery guy comes to the office before 5:00 and I would get it. I could not leave without the package. I wanted to get help from Ridel, and Ridel was able to help me retrieve it. I cannot thank the employees at Buena Park Post Office enough. The supervisor, Debi the window agent, and Jeff, my mailman all were so very nice, understanding and helpful in solving my problem. In that I sometimes have to travel, mail issues get very stressful but they were calm, optimistic and I am so very grateful for their understanding when they have to face like problems every day. This is my de facto place to go when I want to ship something. Usually a lot cheaper than UPS or Fedex and is the closest to me as well. Depending on the time of day you go, you might hit some lines but they usually have around three stands open which helps speed things up. I'm not waiting there too long and the workers have always been nice to me. If you don't feel like waiting in line for a person, you can check out the APC as I don't see as many people using it. It's right in front of you when you enter. And they're open til 6:00PM while most other branches close at 5:00 or 4:30! Definite plus! read more

I frequent this post office since its close to me. The building looks a little outdated and parking can be tough. If the first lot is full, you have to go all the way to the back where they park the postal trucks. You may also use street parking if available, which most of the time it is. Hours are normal for a post office - usually at 5 and the self-serve kiosk is open til maybe 6 or later. I don't really like the use the self-serve kiosks because it's a bit more difficult to do. They do not have a media mail option which is unfortunate because I send a lot of books. They recently added 2 more kiosks in the main room. The PO Box room is a bit messy. Service here is great. They know what they're doing and if you don't know how to send or want a cheaper option, they'll tell you. I've had many a time that I did not know if I should send something priority or first class. Try not to go during rush hour because it gets super slow! read more

Very limited parking - and it's difficult to get out if it's full and you decide to back out and park on a side street. Expect to wait many minutes until someone leaves before you can park. With parking congested, you can also expect a long line when you get inside. The stamp machine doesn't dispense stamps for international mail and will not sell Forever Stamps. I know USPS is in some dire financial straits but the vast majority of post offices I've seen offer better service than this one. read more

So i get a notice that i missed a package at my place.... funny....i was home all day and no one knocked on my door....yet there's a notice stuck to my door... Get the the post office next moring at 9am and "Shushu" tells me that they can't find the package (after going to the back to check) and tells me that the courier brought it in but she can't find it. She give me a number to a supervisor "Lupe" and tells me to call him at 10:30am since he doesn't start work until then. I ask her for her name since her name tag is covered by her vest and she give me a "we get the package to you, don't worry! I was just at this location and dealt with SHAWN, the most inept and rude person I've ever had the displeasure of meeting in my entire life. I had used the self-serve kiosk to mail an item. I used 2 small bubble wrap envelopes taped together to make a large envelope and one would assume this was a "large envelope". The item was returned back to me with no explanation so I went to BP post office to speak to someone. I first dealt with an African-American man. I let him know what happened, he took the envelope and literally laughed in my face, asking why I would think it's a large envelope. He told me to "go show the guy at passport". This is where Shawn comes in. I showed him my "parcel" and he laughed at me and said the same thing as the other guy. I was already annoyed and these people were making it worse. I got a little snippy and let Shawn know that I don't work for the post office so how would I know that this is a package and not a large envelope? Apparently he thought I was out of line because he told me that he wouldn't help me unless I calmed down. I almost laughed like a crazy person! Calm down!? What the heck!? He stands to the side, waiting, and I'm like ok...what are we doing here? I say "can you help me?" and he then let me know that I had mental issues that I need to seek professional help for. Ok, now I was f*cking pissed. Who the hell SAYS THAT to a) someone they don't know and b) a customer!? I again asked if he was helping me or not and he still stood there and told me to "get it all out". I almost think he has some sort of sick sadistic fetish and was enjoying this. I let him know that I, too, am a government employee and it must be nice to be able to get away with saying these things. His response? "What agency do you work for then?" As if I was going to tell this creep! I let him know that I'm not saying and he said, "figures, because I'm sure you don't really work there." At this point I'm thinking I'm on some hidden camera show because how does this clown get away with speaking to people this way? I'm sure I'm not the only one and I'm sure I won't be the last this awful man gets off on trying to intimidate. He finally gets behind the counter and prints out postage. The way he was speaking to me made me uncomfortable and I didn't want to leave my package with him, he seemed very unstable. I asked for the package back to put in the mailbox myself after he was finished, he gave the most condescending laugh, ripped off the postage sticker and threw it away in the trash. When I asked for the Postmaster's name he told me to look it up online. I swear to god this all happened, if I hadn't been there myself I would have never believed it. I went to Stanton post office instead and I literally broke down crying when I told the nice women there what happened. It is so frustrating because I know he will never get in trouble for this extremely harassing and inexcusable behavior he has. I've been to 3 different post offices today looking for stamps for my wedding invites and they didn't have them which is fine. The woman "helping" me was nice enough she just isnt helpful, However I will not look past the rude tone of the guy down the counter (jemare) along with his friend (some angry female asuming Neisha based on other reviews) Both were condescending, demeaning, inappropriate and not to mention, unprofessional. He was telling me why am I still here if they don't have them. Basically just kept telling me I cant help you so leave. I also wanted to know how much to make the stamps because one postmaster at the Huntington beach location said to bring in my cards to see if itd be more expensive (my cards are magnets)to ensure we got the right amount for the stamps (I didn't take them in to hb location). *which was helpful, she said to take them and they'd be able to tell you. So I asked and none of them could give me an answer, I told them I just want to be sure to buy the right cost. The guy said 55 cents but because of the pervious location I asked again cause I wanted to be sure. He then said just buy 70 cents then I don't know what to say. How about actually checking ? I don't want to over buy or under. I need to be sure when buying 400 stamps. A little help would go along way. I can definitely see why these two employees are the reason this USPS office is one of the worse rated. Both of them are horrible nasty people who should not be working with the public. Yes, parking can be a mess. Unfortunately there's nothing anyone can do about it since it's surrounded by housing and the strip mall next to it. If you ever have trouble parking, try the strip mall's lot. I suggest leaving if it's that crowded though unless it's an extremely important matter. In my experience, any reason you'll have to wait a long time is that a lot of customers have no idea what they're doing. You don't walk into a post office with your outgoing package in a warped, oddly-shaped box, with no tape, and have no idea what service to use to send it. The Catch-22 is that the more helpful the employee is about such ignorant customers, the longer the time it will take. Busy or not, I've never had a problem with any of the employees. Some of them aren't as friendly as others, sure, but again not problem for me as they still get the job done just as well. It should be noted that I usually have my stuff ready to go. I usually just use the drop box since I'll have already printed the label, packaged the box, and paid for shipping online. (Great, painless way to ship by the way.) The only times I would have to go to the counter is if it's mandatory like if I want to send it internationally or via Parcel Post, or if I was picking up something that required a signature and I missed it. They have an automated postal service machine too if you want to go that route. Also, the retail counter stays open longer than most others (6 PM Mon-Fri, 5:30 on Sat). Last drop-off time is the regular 5 PM Mon-Fri, 4:30 Sat though. read more

I received several packages on my front porch this morning. When I opened my front door and saw the letter carrier, I said "Good Morning" No response. As he was turning to leave, I observed one of the boxes fall over, spilling the items stacked on top of it. I said "Are you going to pick it up? I hope there is nothing fragile in it. He turned and looked at the box, shrugged his shoulders and departed. No comment from him. So, I commented that I guess I would have to pick it up myself. He has never been a customer friendly letter carrier. He always arrives later than substitute letter carriers. I guess he stops for breakfast before commencing his rounds. I have complained in the post office about him always being late past and was told he had a "bad ankle" So, replace him. read more
