Yes, parking can be a mess. Unfortunately there's nothing anyone can do about it since it's surrounded by housing and the strip mall next to it. If you ever have trouble parking, try the strip mall's lot. I suggest leaving if it's that crowded though unless it's an extremely important matter. In my experience, any reason you'll have to wait a long time is that a lot of customers have no idea what they're doing. You don't walk into a post office with your outgoing package in a warped, oddly-shaped box, with no tape, and have no idea what service to use to send it. The Catch-22 is that the more helpful the employee is about such ignorant customers, the longer the time it will take. Busy or not, I've never had a problem with any of the employees. Some of them aren't as friendly as others, sure, but again not problem for me as they still get the job done just as well. It should be noted that I usually have my stuff ready to go. I usually just use the drop box since I'll have already printed the label, packaged the box, and paid for shipping online. (Great, painless way to ship by the way.) The only times I would have to go to the counter is if it's mandatory like if I want to send it internationally or via Parcel Post, or if I was picking up something that required a signature and I missed it. They have an automated postal service machine too if you want to go that route. Also, the retail counter stays open longer than most others (6 PM Mon-Fri, 5:30 on Sat). Last drop-off time is the regular 5 PM Mon-Fri, 4:30 Sat though. read more

Ordered something from Amazon (Prime Account) delivery guaranteed Sunday delivery. So I very been home all day, front door open screen door shut, my mailbox is easily accessible, the front door is facing the side of the house, the driveway is clear, there is no code or gate to get to where I am, then I get an update my package was undeliverable because they couldn't reach my mailbox/front door/ my driveway was unaccessible. Now kind you I have a camera at my front porch where all of these things are in Blaine view. So I watched the footage if the timeframe supposedly when the mail Carrie came, like and behold no USPS car in view nor anyone approaching my house. UPS FEDEX OnTrak all these other delivery people never have had an issue getting me my stuff, but if course the USPS -thst has access to literally EVERYWHERE can't deliver a damn package. Can't wait for the day these people lose their job to a these more efficient ways of getting things to where they need to go. Terrible work ethic. To top it all off they asked me for some ticket that was nowhere to be found on my property. Then was told I it would be delivered next day. So what I heard was,"I'm to lazy to do my job - the thing I get paid for. The entire reason I'm here in the building running the clock. You'll just have to wait for the mail on Monday.." So that means they didn't need my ticket to know what I was expecting because they never attempted to deliver anything. read more

I'm changing my mailing address to my work address from now on, every single time I've ordered packages, I NEVER received them! 6 times!!!!!!!!!!! I ordered a package and it's MIA..... Tracking States it's on its way when it was guaranteed a date which was 3 days ago!!! I'm so sick of people stealing my things or losing them!!!!!!! I'm probably biased because it's close to home, but I've never had issues with them before. Well, besides the ridiculous wait. It's always recommended to avoid the busy hours (after 3pm). What's great about this location is the availability of an automated machine. I know I certainly want a postman to deliver important packages. However, if you're shipping using the priority mail boxes, mailing domestic, just want insurance,etc., it's pretty easy to just use the machine. Just get comfortable with it and it will save you a big headache. I've always gotten great customer service from the postmen behind the counters, so I can't really complain. Ordered a package on Amazon, and it said "delivery attempted" and "package available for pickup at facility" at the same time. Delivery was definitely not attempted from this USPS office, as the mail carrier did not knock on the door or put it in my patio, which would have been easy to do. In the end, I had to go to the post office to retrieve the package. If they had no intent to deliver the package, it would have helped to know that from the beginning. read more

Absolutely disgusting customer service. They bully you and embarrass you in front of other customers. And if that isn't enough they will gang up on you. If you have an animal they will do everything in their power to make your life difficult and miserable. They don't care that by not receiving and paying your credit card bills you default on a payment, or by not getting your health insurance bill and paying it you won't be covered for that month. They don't care about anything except for how much they hate their jobs. They mistreated my mom and instead of helping her with a solution they had her running around in circles. This location is open later in Saturday's than other locations, which is great! But some people here are nice and some postal workers are quite rude. I didn't feel welcome at this location and I won't be coming back which is sad because I have to drop off mail all the time. Unbelievable! I was looking to receive my package earlier than today. I thought it was going to be delivered to my job/office in 1-2 business days, which is why I used my job address as the Ship To address. I called this post office. Someone answered, but I later found out it was a few mins earlier than when they open at 8:30 AM. The gentleman, & I use the term very loosely, who answered was quite short, rude, & was trying to say we were talking over each other. In fact, I was trying to talk fast as he kept trying to cut me off. At 1st he was telling me about the process of when the package is received into their post office. It arrived there at around 2:30 AM today. When I talked to him at 8:20 AM, he said it hasn't been scanned yet. Also, at 1st he was going to try to locate it. Then, he later told me to call back at 4:00 PM, when the mail carrier gets back to the post office from her route. I asked him if it leaves with the mail carrier, even if the business was closed today & probably has a 'hold down' on it. I was also going to ask if the mail carrier has already loaded it, & if he/she will stop by the business even though it's closed. But, he was impatient & said that he already told me what he had to say, & if I wanted more information, I could call back when they open at 8:30 AM. Then, he hung up on me. When I called a few times after 8:30 AM, NO ONE answered the phone # that was provided by their main post office (800#), whose phone # was provided in the USPS Package-Tracking WebSite. So, I waited for the post office to open at 9:00 AM. Luckily, I encountered a very competent USPS worker (clerk?) named Niesha. She was AWESOME. She was down onto the business on hand right away, assessed the situation correctly, & knew exactly what was going on. She located my package most efficiently, gave it to me, wished me well, & went onto the next business matter, wasting no time at all! I was going to give this business 1 star, but because Niesha was so awesome, I doubled it to 2 stars. Had everyone followed her example, this business would've averaged more than 2 stars. Made an appointment for passports at 11am and have been standing waiting for 20 minutes. We saw a lady go leave the front desk and go to the back and she hasn't been out since then. We have talked to other employees asking for service but they just assure us that she'll be out in a minute - which hasn't happened. What's the point of making an apt? Not smart forcing people to stand here and wait in masks that restrict breathing capabilities amongst other people lining up for service. Buena Park post office gone downhill over the last few months.In the past we had experienced,long term mail deliverers that brought all the mail at expected time.Now,we get different deliverers who don't have a clue what they're doing.We get late delivery or no delivery.Mail that is scheduled to be delivered is delayed or delivered to wrong address.Today I got message from Amazon that my package is ready for pick up at the post office.I checked tracking and it shows that it was out for delivery today.I guess,since the PO is a govt monopoly,they have no reason to worry about bad service. read more

An Update from about my Postal Service .. I have a firm belief in taking pride in your job whatever it may be, just because the smallest job makes the biggest difference in the world .. so I've been waiting patiently for a few packages in the mail (I order a majority of my things online), and lo and behold! .. my mailman disappointed me AGAIN for what I consider the last straw .. I was home, getting my daughter ready for school. I dropped her off at school early today, and managed to see my mailman's truck at the very beginning of my block. I parked my car in the driveway of my house, opened the door, and walked inside ... not even 10 minutes later, my brother hands me one of those notes that the mailman leaves at your door, "United States Postal Service, Sorry We Missed You!" I love my city, I love my community, but it's safe to say I HATE my community's postal service. This is the 6th recorded event in which my mailman was too lazy to walk to my door. The people obviously don't take pride in their jobs ... I know most people work jobs just to make ends meet, but regardless, people still should have some damn pride in their work. I guess that's part of the problem with America now, since people don't take pride in their work anymore, they just don't care. Knowing for a fact that doing your job makes a difference in the world ... would you rather get your job done the right way, or half assed? Already annoyed, I went to the post office in the redundant manner I've come accustomed to when my mailman is too lazy to ring my doorbell. I pick up my "Sorry We Missed You!" notice, make the way annoying drive to the post office, wait patiently in line with everyone else, and talk to the mail attendant. This time however, my mailman didn't leave my package at the post office. I asked the mail attendant for a number I could call to see if my package was back at the post office, and to file a complaint. The mail attendant writes a number down for me, and I leave. My last nerve was hit. I drove home, even kept my eye out for my mailman's truck (Thank God for him, I didn't see it), and called the number. "Ring! Ring! Ring! .." for exactly 12 minutes straight ... no one picks up the damn phone. DAMMIT THATS IT! .. I go online to usps.com and look up the information for customer service. I call the line directly, and file a formal complaint against my mailman... Yes Mr Lazy Ass Mailman, I can be a pain in the ass too! I hope you enjoy your formal complaint in the mail! .. Worst postal service ever. Not even kidding. I own a small business and i use USPS everyday. I've only been here 4 times in maybe 2 years now, and 4 times i had a horrable experience. They have the rudest employees and bad attitudes. Specially the one working on the back side. I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK IN THIS PLACE! I love this place. They open really late and the cashiers are usually very helpful and less angry than other places. I have been shipping here for years now and I haven't had any major issues. The only major issue I have had was with the indian lady cashier, who always suggests you to ship your package a certain way that costs more money. She always claims it's the post office rules, but I have since found that the rules seem to be her own standards. Overall: nice place to go as compared to other USPS places. read more

Sorry to say but this is the worst post office I have been into. To keep my story short, I received a small package and tracking said it was delivered but I did not receive it. Then I went to post office to see what happened to it. Employees at front counters were helpful and guy gave me their delivery supervisor's contact number to call and check. I called the supervisor "Lupe Lopez" and he got my number to call me back after checking what happened to my package. He called me back saying it's a small package and it should be in my mail box. I said I checked few times but it wasn't there. Then his reply was "delivery person must have put it into a different mail box, go ask your neighbors". Seriously....???? Now I need to knock 50-60 some apartment doors to and ask if they got my package. Then I asked him what would happen to any packages I receive in the future. He said there's no guarantee and this might happen again because it's human error. Really??? Is that the response you expect from United States Postal Service? Is that a human error or someone marked my package (5 Blu-rays) as delivered and took it somewhere else? I really have a doubt about that when I see more people here complaint about losing their packages. read more

I don't know what to do about our situation. I don't like to go to the Buena park office because they are very slow. The parking is terrible and I have a handicap sticker. I try to put my outgoing mail into the mailbox. So, guess what? Do you think our mailman takes the mail out and puts it in his bag? Nope! He takes the new mail and just pushes it into my mailbox leaving my outgoing mail staying there. This has happened many times. I have had to get in my car and go to the Cerritos office to get my letters mailed so they will arrive in time. I don't know what's the matter with the postman. They have jobs that last a lifetime with good pay and benefits. How many of us can say that? I don't think there is anything that can be done about it. ***** 5 STARS FOR THE CASHIERS, KIM, DEBRA AND THE OTHER (I'm sorry I don't know your names) TWO LADIES! **2 STARS FOR THE PARKING! LOL Let me start off by saying i have been going to this PO since 2002 when we moved to BP. I didnt really become a "regular" there until 2011. My daughter and i were winning lots of auctions on a free site and she loved going to pick up "her" stuff. We were going 4-5 times a week for like 2 years. So we had a lot of experience with the BPPO! :D I can without any reservations say that MOST of the employees there are AWESOME! Kim and Debra have made a point in learning my daughter's name and getting to know her by asking her about school and congratulating her on her accomplishments when she shares with them. When we go to just pick up mail from our PO Box she likes to pop in the room where they are and just say a friendly "hello!" to whomever is there! EVEN IF that door is closed they will wave to her thru the glass! Never have they dismissed her or me bc they are in a rush or having a bad day. We always get the best advice on the cheapest way to mail our stuff and friendly service. Even if someone has given them a hard time they are generally still nice to the next person at their counter! The other two ladies are nice too (just not as talkative as Kim and Debra ;) ) most of the time but whenever we get their counter they are friendly. ON THE OTHER HAND, the supervisor lady with the glasses? CAN I JUST SAY WOW!!! The rudeness is unparalleled! Ive seen her yell at people, snap at people and simply walk away like she was awoken from a nap! I have seen a lot of complaints about her here and was told at the PO that LOTS of people complain about her. I wonder is she near retirement and that is why she isnt fired? I think she needs anger management classes. I also can never understand why people who seem to dislike working with people are in a customer service position like her...IJS All in all i think the place is great for the friendly employees. All four of them! :D And for the machines where you can help yourself! I love those things bc i can control how long im in there! LOL The parking leaves a lot to be desired but why complain about something that can't be fixed. REally im just glad we have a PO at all in our small lil town of BP! :D UPDATE: Kim is now a sup and in keeping with her great customer service as a cashier, she helped me out with an issue last month as a sup. She was diligent and still kept up the friendly attitude. Kudos to this PO for the store staff. I do agree the carriers AND PO BOX stuffers (have no idea what they are actually called! So I explain things to my dad and I ask one more time, we missed the delivery only once and you guys dont send another out? He said you only get one chance. Policy? I dont know. I told him not ask that we need this delivered again. He then changes and says ok when. I said tomorrow. He said ok. I was really confused at this point. I forget exactly what I said at this point because of the heat of the moment but he started accusing me that I lied and I didnt know what I was talking about. No. I didnt lie. You misunderstood. I asked if you guys can give US a timeline NOT we want a couple hours of delivery window. And also his a**hole attitude dont help anyone. The only reason you are allowed that attitude is because you have a government job. I really dont know why they treated us this way. Usually the black lady there is so welcoming and kind but these two here are killing this place. Worst place ever! Had a package go "out for delivery" at 8 in the morning then at 6 they put a scan that it was an incorrect address when the guy delivered the regular mail earlier that day. My address is not incorrect they need to get off their lazy bums and actually try and get stuff delivered to the correct address like it says I there package! Now it says sending back to shipper? What? No research to find out if it's actually a bad address? No phone call to find out if they can get the correct address even tho it is correct on my package now I have to go through the hassle of getting a hold off the shipper because the Post office couldn't do their job! No wonder you guys are doing so bad. Wish it would of come any other service but them! Horrible service! Wish I had a choice to pick the delivery service I would happily pay a few dollars more to get guaranteed delivery day. Anybody but the Post office! Don't go here. The customer service is very poor. You would think the supervisor or manager would be professional enough to handle concerns but it is just appalling. The issue was their fault yet I didn't even get an apology. The manager needs to be trained because all she did to handle the situation is point fingers and make up excuses. I was actually there to just pick the stamps I didn't get from the kiosk and not even get a refund. Although it's a few dollars it is not about the money it's about the principle. I was going to be more understanding we speak but it started off as telling me what I should have done so that the issue would have not happened.
