Christine has been a rock star for Encino branch for many years. She has an absolute knowledge and patience for what needs to be done with her gracious professionalism. USPS needs someone like her in multiplying!!!

April 12, 2025, I would like to commend Mr. Dwight for his exceptional professionalism and kindness. I was the last customer of the week with a large number of packages, and my transaction took an extra 30 minutes. Despite this, and despite visibly having a cold, Mr. Dwight remained patient, polite, and completely professional throughout the entire interaction. He never showed any frustration -- not in words, expressions, or gestures. His service was truly above and beyond. Employees like Mr. Dwight make a real difference. He is more than deserving of recognition -- perhaps even USPS Employee of the Year 2025. Thank you for having such dedicated team members.

The postal mascot, Ellie, loves coming, even when the lines are long

I live in the neighborhood, so definitely convenient. More than that, the staff is wonderful!!! Debbie, Christine, Dwight are friendly and very helpful. For those who complain about the wait, they have no control of that and try to make your time at the window a pleasant one. Chris , one of the supervisors, will always try to resolve issues to your satisfaction. David ,who you don't see at a window, but works hard getting those videos to work and maintains the grounds along with other jobs is always a pleasure to talk to after a day with attorneys. In any government office you're going to wait, so try to have patience, and spread some kindness, USPO workers don't deserve the attitude... #goingpostal

I visited this post office specifically because of the advertised 24-hour self-service kiosk, hoping to ship a small package around 7 PM. While the kiosk itself was operational, the drop chute was out of order and marked with a sign stating it couldn't be used. Since I had made a special trip here just for this service, I knocked on a nearby door after hearing someone inside. I politely asked if I could leave the package, even if it meant it wouldn't ship until the next day. Unfortunately, the staff member told me they couldn't accept it because the truck had already left and they had "nowhere to place the package." This was confusing and frustrating--if there's truly nowhere secure to hold outgoing packages, then the kiosk shouldn't be advertised as 24/7 when a critical part of it (the drop chute) is out of order. At the very least, there should be signage or updates indicating that the service is currently unavailable, so people don't waste their time driving out for nothing.

Came over here to drop off some bill payments. I came at a later time so it was kind of busy including the parking lot. Social distancing is observed. Staff and customers are wearing masks.

Best post office I have used in the Valley! Sure it's not perfect- it's run by the government, but the staff are friendly and helpful.

I am an unhoused constituent with a valid, government-issued photo ID. Despite having an active mail hold and an application for a PO Box, the line supervisor at this location explicitly refused to allow me to retrieve mail and packages that have already been delivered here. Her reasoning? She claimed I must provide "proof of a local physical address"--a manufactured requirement that she knows a homeless person cannot fulfill. She then explicitly stated she is executing a "Return to Sender" protocol on my essential incoming packages and property. This is a direct violation of the USPS Postal Operations Manual (POM) Section 508.6.1 and official federal guidelines regarding mail service for the homeless. Federal law states that individuals without a fixed address are completely eligible for free, indefinite General Delivery service, and a matching photo ID is the ONLY legal requirement to pick it up. By fabricating fake address rules, this supervisor is actively obstructing access to the federal mail system and engaging in housing-status discrimination. A formal case has been opened with the Sierra Coastal District Consumer & Industry Affairs Office, an emergency complaint has been filed with the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC), and an official federal inquiry is underway through the office of U.S. Congressman Brad Sherman. Station Postmaster Clarissa Bognot needs to immediately retrain her staff, rein in this supervisor, halt the unlawful returning of my property, and bring this branch into compliance with federal DMM and POM postal laws. Disgraceful service.
