Made a passport appointment a week in advance and showed up 10 minutes early like they asked. There wasn't any directions on where the passport appointments were so I had to travel around and risk my health by traveling around close to people. And then, when I finally found a worker, she told me that passport appointments weren't happening because they couldn't get any of their workers to show up. Really? I've learned my lesson when it comes to trying to come here during my lunch time. Just don't do it. I came here after the lunch rush and I only waited 2 minutes! Score! :) Once I was able to see a postal worker, she told me that the tape I used was not packing tape. Understandable. I didn't think about it. My fault. I should have used packing tape. I told her that I would bring it back later, but she stopped me and told me that she would help me out with their packing tape! Sweet! Customer service! This is the worst USPS in the US. This USPS needs to be shut down or be replaced with new staff. The staff is rude, unprofessional, disrespectful and make stories how not to work while you go for appointment. They try not to let the work done by all means. I am really surprised how this office supervisor or any official never tried to improve this when you have so many bad reviews. I went there for passport for my newborn and they just cancelled the appointment on the spot saying the agent is not available and never updated/ rescheduled the appointments and say that's how we do. This should be -5 *. I read all the reviews while booking appointment but never thought it will be that bad. Understuffed and people working here having the hardest time finding people's packages. They don't try to deliver the boxes; rather leave s note saying they missed in the mailbox for forcing people to come and pick up the package because it's only 13lbs ! And when you come here 20 minutes after their opening there are already 7 people in the line to pick up their packages who had the same notes in their mailboxes, and each person takes 10 minutes to process. Now does it worth waiting for more the an hour to pick up something that was supposed to be delivered to my door. Why are you putting people to work for you ? Good facility clean and mostly organized in the morning. The one star rating is due to not addressing a personnel problem that seems to have existed for over a year. Edit: Details of my experience in attempting to ship 2 large boxes to hawaii - Lady asked for address, which I had stored on my phone enlarged. She refused to look at my phone and insisted on writing the address on paper. - Wrote it and handed it to her, which then dropped to the floor. She said that was "rude" and refused to pick it up and instead insisted on me writing down the address...again. - After inputting the address in her computer she said it didn't exist and that there was no guarantee they would be delivered and that postage was non refundable. Postage for the 2 boxes to that zip code was $95 - Left the facilities and went to UPS to verify address. Address existed. - Went to another USPS facility 4 miles away (Sand Canyon). Experience was night and day. Staff was super helpful and also verified that address existed. I'm tempted to move just so that I can have a different USPS facility for my mail :P read more

This place is always packed. All the employees here are super rude. They have an area where you pick up your packages if you missed the delivery. They have a bell to ring for help. Every time I've gone I've waited over 20 mins just to have an employee help me out. If my packages where not sent here I definitely would not use this Usps. read more

This post office is a joke! The only reason I'm giving one star is because my regular mail lady Maria is so nice and helpful! For the times she has been out or on vacation, it's like the people who fill in for her CONSTANTLY SCREW UP! Regina is the best at losing your package. If you ask her about it she is extremely rude. Then when I file a claim with them over my lost packages it's always a nightmare because my Amazon shipments normally don't come with insurance because our packages are put into lockers when delivered. This post office is so slow and the workers behind the counter are extremely slow! Simon was so rude! Took 2 customers before me even though I had been waiting there longer. When it was pointed out to him, he literally laughed at me in front of my young daughter. Then told me he did not care if I reported him! Every single "manager" and person of "authority" working here is grossly incompetent and it really shows. They're also extremely rude- specifically the women. No one answers any phone calls, they never pick up packages. This place is truly the worst post office EVER. If I could give them 0 stars or negative stars I would. My husband and I own a business and have been shipping out shipments with this "post office" for about 2 years. Every month they fail to pick up our packages on the day they are scheduled and my husband has gone in to speak with the managers MANY times. They have a different excuse and lie each time. We've been business owners for nearly 6 years and have never had this type of issue until moving to this area with this specific post office. Once again they have FAILED to pick up the 300 packages despite my husband emailing the manager and calling the other manager. Next to the word "useless" in the dictionary, is a picture of this post office and the entire staff. I sent a Priority Mail envelope to San Diego and it ended up in New York City. Two weeks later, it's still in NYC, despite repeated requests for the envelope to be sent back here to CA. I came here to send a first class mail with tracking number. The line was out of the door. I suspected it was because of the holiday reason and everyone was sending gifts and packages. There were originally 4 workers at the counter. However, 2 went on break or something. So in the end, there were only two workers there. The line was horrible and moved very slowed. However, the lady who helped me was nice but looked impatient and tired. I would definitely suggest using the self service machine outside it would make your life easier! read more

I called 10 times in the morning and no one pick up the phone. Then I took a few hours off and went there at 2pm. This post office is practically around the corner from my house so this is the post office we always frequent. By "always frequent" I mean that either Steve or I am there at LEAST every other day. Seriously. It's better than most post offices just because it's USUALLY fairly empty (unless it's the holidays) and most of the people there are friendly and/or competent. Which is really not the norm when it comes to post offices. I do have a nemesis here, though. I swear to GOD, if I could, I'd reach over the counter to punch her in the throat. (Damn short T-Rex arms! GAH!) She drives me insane... and for some damned reason, I ALWAYS get her. Okay, "ALWAYS" is an exaggeration... but it's safe to say that I get her at least 95% of the time. Every time I get her, she tells me to hang on and then she goes away... for like FIFTEEN minutes. And she always gives me a hard time about the packages I'm mailing. Especially if they're shipping Media Mail. She acts like I'm lying and I'm just trying to get the cheaper rate. IT'S JUST A BOOK, LADY! JEEZ! Usually post offices are super busy and therefore lack good service. This post office was still busy, but I was able to utilize the self-help kiosk. There was a friendly lady that helped me print out the label for my package. I was in and out within 10 mins or less. Great service! read more

PERCY!!!! You still work here!?? Incredible!!!! They just set up a line there, and then they said that line is for buying stamps only. Ok, I got my number and Mr. NESTOR(one of the clerk not at the counter) said I can wait in line for buying 1 stamp for my international letter mail, or if my number got called, I can move to the other counter... okay, then, what is this numbering system doing there? Or why line up for buying stamps only? There's a freaking vending machine outside selling stamps right? So the guy before me was already scared shitless(?) talking to PERCY and apologizing to him, FOR WHAT? For asking him questions? Then it's my turn, I told him I need to mail this international, how much it would cost. He asked me do I need a stamp? I'm like yes, but I don't know how much, (thinking... that's why I'm here, duh!!!) And he was like you got to know how much, then he just said 98cents. I made a mistake of trusting him this information because he didn't even weight the freaking letter. Then he asked me how many stamps I want. I'm like what? it's 98cents, I wasn't sure what he meant, he then yelled, "DO YOU WANT 1 stamp, 2 stamps or 3 stamps?" I'm like, ehh... I don't know... does it matter? It's still 98cents right? "yeah, but I'M ASKING YOU HOW MANY YOU WANT." I'm like, okay, just 1, I'm just waiting to see if you have more questions..." And I know the procedure wasn't right because that's NOT how you mail a letter internationally. And I don't see a drop box for international mail either. So I asked Nestor (the clerk who directs people what to do, line up here or wait for the call" (they bought this number system and hire a guy just to tell people where to line up... hmm...who runs this place), and he just slipped the letter to the other clerk like it's drug money. WTF? Hopefully my letter is within weigh limit... otherwise... And why do I have to put up with this crap?!! This is Irvine right? pretty ordinary post office. large parking lot and i have come usually between 1-3pm on a weekday and they are usually not to busy with maybe 1-3 people waiting in line with 2-3 workers working the line. they aren't the friendliest or most excited workers, but that is expected at the post office. they get the job done and the 2nd time i went the gentleman working was helpful when I asked a basic question about shipping since i didn't understand too well. they also have machines inside for self help. read more

They deserve no stars. I got a note to come pick up my package, but it was nowhere to be found. After calling 3 different times and 5 days later, finally found out it was "picked up". They say they don't release packages without matching name and address but that's clearly a lie as I didn't pick it up. Now I'm stuck dealing with filing a claim online, which is a nightmare as well. I haven't received a single piece of mail for over 3 weeks now, even though tracking info for packages i am supposed to be getting get marked as "left in mailbox". This station is the one handling my mail and i personally went there to complain. The lady working the "Dutch door" got my info and said my mail career will contact me to sort it out. I highly suggest everyone to not come here if you're looking to do your passport. I came in here at 4PM on a Monday, and the lady told me she stopped doing passports at 2PM. On the website and Yelp, it says they close at 5PM. She also said that no one will be available to do passports until someone is trained by next week or so. I order everything that comes to my office in Irvine with a tracking # for a GOOD reason! Nobody there can be bothered to pick up a phone and it just rings endlessly, I get mail for my neighbors constantly, & now a package I needed TODAY was misdelivered to Newport Beach for some unknown reason & no way to find out if it's even back to Irvine yet because they didn't bother to scan it in. The last 4 times I have been in there with the line out the door & 2 people working, they have been out of rolls of stamps. 4 times in a row! Interesting how I have 3 different vendors all with shipping receipts mailing to my P.o. box within 24 hrs of each other (small items ordered online) All shipped in small padded envelopes. NONE of which reached me OR were returned to the vendors. ALL 3 vendors have 100% satisfaction ratings from other buyers. This tells me it is far too ironic that the packages dint make it. This is the worst post office I've ever experienced. They are my local post office where my mail carriers pick up my mail before attempting to deliver it to my house. My problem is that our mail carrier frequently delivers my packages to other people!! I've only lived her for about a year and a half, and I've had this happen with 5 packages! I lived at my last address in a different city for 9 years and never ONCE had a package get delivered to the wrong address. I am so sick of this post office's BS that I'm going to get a P.O. I came here to get my passport processed. When you fill out your application Online it is listed as one of the offices which do not require an appt unless you are coming in on a Monday. Went in on a Tuesday at 11am for them to not only tell me you have to have an appt but after waiting for about 15 mins while they try to find an appt book finding out the soonest appt is a month away. Also, they aren't rude but they also aren't helpful or polite either nor do they seem to care that the wrong info is listed online. I wouldn't waste your time coming here! read more
