Just left this place, not very happy. I walked in with a package to ship. I was planning on just dumping in the lobby drop off. It had a label on it already and ready to ship. I don't ship a lot and I just wanted an employee to glance at it and give me the thumps up. I walked past the line and made eye contact with an employee resting against the wall not helping anyone. I asked nicely for help, he instead talked to me as if I was interrupting his lunch break. He never broke from his resting bitch face. He told me just leave your package there and if you want it scanned get in line. I reiterated I just wanted him to take a look at the label. He refused to walk up to the counter. I walked away and dumped it in the drop off on the wall. Horrible service. It would have saved us both time and energy just having have taken a look and said ok. When I used to live in Long Beach, I would come to this post office because it was convenient. Located right next to Trader Joe's, in the Target plaza, there is a big parking lot, where parking is never really a problem (but you may have to walk a little further away though, depending when when you come). Usually there are lines here whenever I come and there are usually 3 people at the front desk. Sometimes the small desk against the wall, near the boxes and other junk you can buy to enhance your packages and letters, opens up and sells stamps and occasionally will take people from the long lines and help them with their transactions. Generally the postal workers here are fairly nice. I don't think I have ever had a real bad postal worker or received poor customer service here. I just wished that the service would be a bit faster. A lot of times I see customers staying to chit chat with some of the postal workers and hold up the line or have some kind of transaction problem or payment problem, thus increasing everyone else's wait time. Overall, this is an acceptable post office and I kept going back here when I lived in Long Beach. read more

They say they open at 7:30 on there but they don't have anyone at the front desk until 9:00am you can hear people talking and laughing in the back while 10 people wait in line. If you don't actually open until 9am, change your hours! This is bull! read more

I can't believe I'm posting a review about a post office but I was so pleased by the expediency and positivity (a rarity when dealing with the USPS or government workers..) of the staff at the post office. There were a few self-service checkout machines. There was NO line and the staff members were very polite and efficient. The gentleman clerk was so positive, helpful, and efficient. After going to this post office, the idea of going to another post office is dreadful! A huge bonus is that Trader Joe's is right next door. read more

This Post Office is not a full service post office and many expecting it to be maybe disappointed. We have been having some problems with thieves following shipping trucks and looking for packages to steal. Unfortunately, unlike UPS or Fed Ex, USPS has no free service to hold your package at their facility for you to pick up. In most cases if I buy on Ebay, I ask the sell to ship to have me sign for it. That way it gets in my hands for sure. In this case the shipment when without anyway for me to do any of that. You can however ask them to put a package somewhere where nobody else can get or if you can find your carrier and show them id, they will give it to you in person. I chose the latter for a package that was important to me had excellent service. The post office was very cooperative. USPS is my favorite form of shipping and is generally less expensive than other carriers. It also has more accurate tracking. read more

My interactions with the employees here always seem to be great. Maybe it's because I always am nice to them & they're happy to see someone with a smile on their face. I only ever hit this location on Saturdays when the post office I normally go to is closed. Why? Well there's always a long line at this location. While the employees could probably be a bit more efficient, the real thing that takes up all the time is the people who don't come prepared. Overall I've never had an issue with the employees' knowledge or efficiency, I just hate waiting in lines. read more

I went to this post office at 9:50 am on 8/11/20. Jasmine was at the counter to help me. I intended to use certified mail for my package. Jasmine asked me to fill out the receipt. I told her that I forgot to bring my glasses, if she could be so kind to tell me which line to fill out. She said, "It's just like an address you put on an envelope." I said, "I know, but I cannot see without glasses. If you can point which line to fill out, I will try my best." She said, "Don't shout at me, don't take your frustration on me. Go to another place to fill out." She has an explosive temper. The post office was not busy at the time. There was only one customer waiting in line behind me. Instead of pointing to the line to fill out, she scolded me and asked me to go away. I needed help and she refused to help. I believe people are decent and helpful in general. She is the exception that proves the rule. The supervisor came out to try to help me at this time. I told the supervisor what happened. At the same time, Jasmine shouted at me from the counter and everyone in the post office was looking at us. I asked the supervisor for Jasmine's name. She did not want to tell me at first. She said, "You can look at her name tag." I said, "It's my fault that I forgot to bring my glasses. I cannot read her name without my glasses." The supervisor reluctantly told me, "Jasmine". After talking to the supervisor, another person, Phil, helped me. He talked down to me as if I were a child. I feel strongly that everyone should support the US Postal Service workers at this difficult time. Unfortunately, some workers with bad attitude and provide poor services do not give people reasons to support them. read more

Good and quick service! They have a bunch of envelopes and boxes you can choose from and I love to send those for care packages to friends.

I hate this place so much it makes me so glad this is not my friendly neighborhood post office. Oh shit, it is my neighborhood post office minus the friendly. Every time I go in here, it's the worst post office experience of my life, every time. I've lived here for six months and I have never seen the self-serve postage machine without an "out of order" sign on it. There's always at least fifteen people in line and one person working the counter. They try to upsell you with every thing the post office offers. Very rude. I asked for piece of tape because I missed the edge of my package (It was not the entire package). I got a lecture from the cashier, she basically scolded me. She said I need to be ready, that I should have bought tape before I got there. I was already there ... and it was no more than 3 inches of tape I was asking her to provide. Went to the post office today at 2234 n bellflower blvd Long Beach ca 90815 to speak about an issue. I bought two money orders and a pre-stamped envelope on 11/12/2021 and was sending it to my apartment rental company. My money orders never made it to their destination. I called customer service they put a claim in still no help, they actually told me to go to the retail store. When I went to the post office the clerk Larry would not let me speak, over talked me and told me it was my fault and I must've did something wrong. I have NEVER had this type of customer service experience and I am completely appalled at the lack of care your business is putting out. I will make sure this complaint reaches its way to corporate some way or some how until I am heard. The issue is still not resolved. I want my $1,156.00 back expedited cause it don't take 1-3 months to take it off my card you take it off in 3 seconds or simply issue me a new money order ! I have receipts I have the money order stub receipt as well and this is unacceptable how you choose to treat people who are spending their hard earned money at your location. On 11/12 the lady who was a black woman at the counter on the end told me when I was done filling out the envelope and money orders don't put them in the drop box to hand them to her, I did that and all of a sudden my money is gone and your business is failing as a company to take responsibility! My box got stuck in the drop box and no one would help me get it out. I waited in line twice. I was in there for over 40 minutes and ended up leaving hoping they'd take care of it. The old white lady that works there could not stop talking about her 16 year old daughter who needed help with her college applications, so she was retiring. Does a 16 year old really need help with college apps?!?!?! She was such a chatty Cathy but couldn't take 2 minutes to go make sure my box wasn't stuck. She was the biggest B ever. The second time I waited in line I got someone else to help me and she interrupted our conversation and said to leave and my box was fine. Mailing costs increased two weeks ago, and I needed some two-cent stamps to make my Judy Garland stamps still usable. You'd think, what with the rate change being extremely recent, that the self-serve machines would carry two-cent, or even one-cent, stamps. But no. Not at all, not in either machine. There was a long line and I wasn't about to wait 15 minutes to buy less than a dollar's worth of stamps, so I left. read more

Yesterday I stopped in the mail a package and the line was so long with only clerk. I got out of line to carry on my day. Today was a completely different experience. This place is always busy. Parking is real bad. The service is great. The people here try there best to get you out of here as fast as they can. I love there service. I go here about once a week to mail things out to my clients. I do not recommend coming here at lunch. I had a horrible experience today at this postal office. I have never had a issue with this establishment before today. I was mailing a Photobook to my parents for christmas and I went up to the counter and the gentlemen asked me what I was shipping and I told him a Photobook and he told me that books can ship for a little over $2. After he said that a worker named KRISTY interrupted and said "that's not a real book she has to pay the other amount. It has to have writing in it pictures don't count" and I explained that it does have writing in it and little stories and things and she looked at me and said "John and Sally doesn't count as writing" I just simply said that I didn't care about the price because I did not deserve that kind of attitude. Extremely rude staff (not all of them; just this particular older man.) I accompanied my mom because she doesn't speak English. He was not friendly, came off very impolite towards my mom who was trying her best to get a stamp. He asked if we needed anything else, I told him that'd be all. However my mom tells me she needed a stamp booklet. I asked him if we could also purchase that. He continues to be rude and belittle me in front of everyone saying "I've asked you before and you clearly said no." He could've handled this better and said "sure, no problem." i am not new to mailing/shipping as i sell on ebay, amazon and etsy and have 100% excellent status there. but every single time i use the persons at the counter they charge me extra for something. if i would drop it in a mail box or thru their dropoff slot it would get there anyways without the extra charge. the lines at times are horrendous but that is probably because they are finding something extra to charge onto peoples items. counter people are friendly but they nickel and dime me to death. every single time. so i go to the ghetto post office downtown long beach. they are slow down there but they dont charge me extra (once in a while they do but its warranted) every time. but its a government job so i expect service to be iffy. read more

After my previous bad review on the post office located on Redondo ave the other day, this office on Stern and Bellflower is small but the workers here are very nice. Phil who helped me was pretty chill, nice and helpful. I was mailing 6 big boxes and he was nice to even point out the mistake I made on the address and fixed it for me. He wanted to confirm first before having to decline it or send it off with a wrong address. He actually made conversation with me... Building rapport with his customers! Take Eugenia off the floor. She is not only rude, but seems to be easily frazzled and unable to respond to people in a courteous or helpful manner. Numerous times while I was waiting I witnessed her snap at people for not knowing the intricate inner workings of boxes and tape, labels and stamp. I understand it is the holidays and everyone needs everything shipped imeaditely, I have no problem waiting, but what I do have a problem with is being disrespected. Went in the other day to just mail a basic package at about 1030. The line was already long and one of the gals at the counter was having a LONG conversation about houses, remodeling etc. The line just got longer and there was NO priority for this employee to move it along. I'm glad she had a good conversation, but considering she could NOT multi-task and had to stop what she was doing every few seconds to continue the conversation I think that she should FOCUS a little. I was in line 20+ minutes for her house remodeling ideas. She wasn't concerned about the line at all. Just...go somewhere else, as a matter of fact there is another post office down the street. read more

The workers are very kind and social...but perhaps a bit too personable with some customers when it comes to chit chatting and slowing down the line. Every staff member is courteous, informative, helpful and professional. They have three self serve locations. They are well coordinated, quick and provide service with a smile. The line can get long, but it moves very quickly. I have a new PO box here and my packages are in my box when they are deemed delivered by the courier. I could not be more pleased. My only regret is that I did not come here first for my PO Box. If you are choosing between downtowns PO box at 300 Long Beach BLVD. Choose this location. BANKERS' HOURS!!! The only reason I got my POB here was the location but their very short hours as compared to other USPS locations is a very annoying problem. AND They charge ~20% more for their POB rental fees. Their pat explanation is that the facility is in a private location (strip mall) and not owned by USPS. So what???? How does that explain your 9-5 schedule? People get POB's because they have day jobs!!!! And that means being ATWORK from 9-5. Every other POB I've ever had allowed 24 hour access or at least opened very early. read more

This place do not even deserve one star.. Earlier today I went to this Post Office since it was the only one nearby. I needed an envelope since the label I had, had an "F" for "First Class". I on my part however, forgot that I needed an envelope for it. I politely asked the worker with the beard who is white and has a low ponytail a simple question. He did let me know that I was right to use the envelope, however I then received an attitude from him. Thus, mentioned how they do not offer tape to anyone because " THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY TO PROVIDE". Now out of all the Post Offices I've been to, they always provide tape, and I am aware of needing to purchase an envelope. What he did not realize, was that I clearly saw the tape next to him while he was explaining this to me. Clearly he did not noticed the tape while lying to me, and the tape was very full.. Today I went into the Bryant Station post office and inquired about a change of address. I had my small, five pound dog with me. As I approached the counter, the man working, named Phil, told me "You are not supposed to have your dog in here" and had his coworker move a stack boxes and move a stack of papers to show me a sign that is behind their desk, no where visible to the front of the store, let alone any of the store. I kindly respond "Ok, sorry, I did not see the sign." Phil responded with a completely rude comment, speaking as if he was saying this to a little child "Aren't dogs commonly not allowed in businesses?" I responded again, "I'm sorry, I did not see the sign. She is not causing harm. I have never had this problem with her and I won't bring her again." He gave me the form I needed and I asked if I needed one for my husband too. He again, saying as if I was a little child "Well you two share the same last name, don't you?" The way this man speaks to customers is completely outrageous, rude, and pitiful. If I knew dogs weren't allowed in the store, fine - I don't mind. I had never seen the sign that is behind piles of boxes that is on a side wall behind someone's desk. I told Phil they should put the sign in a more visible area, preferably on the door. Phil was a complete asshole to me about my little dog and made me feel like an idiot in front of everyone. He deserves to be talked to about his poor attitude towards customers. I walked home furious at this man. I will never give my service to this post office again. read more

DO NOT utilize this location. I had an overnight express mail not delivered on time and a priority package that the Carrier never attempted to deliver. The Manager, Ms. Reynolds was very unprofessional when I attempted to explain what happen. She put her hand up to me and told me to stop, then began assisting persons in the line over me because I made a comment about her unprofessionalism. When I told her I would take this up with the Postmaster, Mrs. Brigitte Champion, she told me "I'll let her know you are going to call" as if to say they are friends. We'll see about that. I spent over $30.00 on the postage and I assumed it would be easy to get my money refunded since I had the proof the packages were delivered untimely and the other not delivered at all. Will use UPS in the future, but I am writing to the Postmaster. If you have problems at this location, take it up with the Postmaster, Brigitte Williams-Champion. read more

This is the best post office in Long Beach! The staff is wonderful! They are helpful, informative, and professional. I go out of my way to ship things from this post office. It's always clean and well stocked. I went to another post office as it was closer to where I was at at that moment, totally regretted it. I don't regularly go into a postal service to conduct my mailing services, but I had to in this case. Kathy, the front desk clerk was very helpful and willing to help me out with my questions. I came in very ill prepared, not having a pen or tape, and among other minor things... She was very patient in helping me get my package out and to my recipient. This office has an automated postage machine where you may print out a postage label, purchase stamps, and do other things; the clerks that are on floor are more than willing to help you through the process. I like that this place is small enough to speak to someone when you need it, although it may take a little long to speak to someone during rush hour times- if you are smart enough to go into the postal service on the off hours, it's a total breeze!
