AVOID: They steal your packages and don't scan them. I'm shipping for a business and every day they are losing about 10% of my shipments and say "We don't scan them all". Well, then why do I have a tracking number if you don't scan them?? And because they don't scan them, you can't file a claim. Forget the phone numbers, you may as well be dialing the DMV - they don't care. 2 months later and they still won't help. Harris told me they would go out and look for the package and get back to me. 2 days later I called and they didn't know anything about it...He did nothing! This must be the worst post office. The employees are rude and give incorrect information. The parking lot looks like a trash dump. Packages and letters are constantly "lost" after they have been received by P.O. personnel. The employee parking lot was repaved in December, therefore, employees parked in the customer parking lot (why December?). Now a second parking lot used for postal vehicles and employee parking is being repaved, therefore, once again no customer parking available. The package drop-off box has been out of order for 7 weeks which means customers must wait until the P.O. opens for business to drop off pre-paid packages. Despite numerous complaints of a homeless man harassing customers who don't want to have him clean your car windows or give him a "donation" nothing is done by postal personnel or postal police to stop his threatening behavior. Finally today, the time is 9:50 am with many customers waiting for service, the post office is still closed despite a 9:30am opening time. No signs or personnel to inform customers of a problem. One positive comment, Kathy was great! Hope she is enjoying her retirement. read more

This post office is the absolute worst. Whoever manages this location should be replaced immediately. I have had my signature forged when I was out of town, my mail is routinely delivered to the wrong address, and you can NEVER talk to someone in charge because the phone is consistently left off the hook. They never follow-up with complaints and when do can reach someone they speak to customers with a combative tone. I wish I could have my mail delivered by the post office that's only 3 blocks away as it's a much nicer facility and better staffed, but unfortunately I'm stuck with the 90048. I hope the governing body of postal employees hears about this location and replaces the management with competent people. I've talked to my mail carrier about the managers here and even he said they are THE WORST. Would give zero stars if I could. USPS regardless of where you go, is the absolute worst. The service sucks and I can't even count anymore how many times my package has gone missing. I don't care what anybody says about this post office, yes the lines are long, but this is a busy area and large city! The African American lady that works in the lobby and kinda just helps you out with random questions and stuff is so funny and sweet. She helps me out AND she cracks me up! And when I run up in there at 2:55 on Saturday (they close at 3), she STILL helps me! Today she directed me to take my package out back to "the docks" to make sure it got posted today. When the lady who works in the front to help smooth the process along, it's the greatest thing ever. Just watching her communicate and navigate people's nervous and anxious tendencies with grace -at the post office- is amazing! We all hate the post office because we have to deal with other people and wait. It makes us uncomfortable and makes us act goofy. She makes the whole process more human. You see her, she talks to you, she helps with whatever you need. Every location should have someone like her. She's incredibly helpful and doesn't seem to be bothered by the fact that all the customers are in a rush and rude. My package disappeared mysteriously. After waiting in a line for more than 30 minutes, the answer is ----make a claim and wait...... Somebody signed my name in a extremely stupid ridiculous way and the carrier just gave the package. There is nothing we can do while the carrier lost your packages. The costumer service is horrendous here. I told the person that works there that I don't know how to do an address change, she was extremely unhelpful and gave me an attitude every time I asked her a question. I also put a hold on my mail and again, not helpful "customer service." I asked if my mail can go to this location as it is 4 minutes from my home and she was extremely rude and said "your mail doesn't belong here." Service is terrible, clerks and woman out front can be rude, condescending and completely disregard time constraints. I've personally waited close to 40 minutes to process a passport request and seen others chastised for the way they packaged things. Even though this is the closest usps to work I will never come here again and neither will any of my friends. read more

**UPDATE** My packages were being placed in the wrong mail slots. So I get an apology letter from the Postmaster after complaining to the Postal Regulatory Commission. He states that after a discussion was held with the carrier(s) assigned to my route, "an alert card has been placed at the carrier's case for my address and delivery will be monitored carefully." The address used to send this wonderful letter didn't contain my suite or floor number so someone had to hand write it on the bottom of the envelope in order for it to reach me! SMDH read more

Unbelievable the lack of customer service from the employees. They talk down & demean customers, yell and scream at you to stand in line at specific windows (i'm sure an attempt to expedite certain needs - but there is a more polite way to do so). The managers are not cross trained on BASIC INFORMATION of other departments - if you need to speak with the Sup. of Deliveries, don't expect any help after 3:30pm!! They have no idea where my package is, and after 15 mins on hold, came back on the line stating that he has to wait for the courier to come back to the post office...that's going to take like 6 hours. Do they not have ANY communication systems? I'm not a rocket scientist, but there are great, AMAZING, technologies called cell phones & radios!! ARGH! It's the holidays, and you probably want to make sure your packages and cards arrive at their destinations. Well, then, don't use the U.S. Post Office at 7610 Beverly Blvd., a.k.a. "Bicentennial Branch" ('cause that's how long it will take your mail to arrive?). "Lost in the mail" (!) -- the explanation for why the payment for my PO Box - sent directly from Bank of America - was never credited to my account. I provided copies of the payment, a Bank of America agent called the branch directly to confirm that the payment had been sent and properly addressed, I offered and did send another payment, and yet Bicentennial Branch staff closed my account and concluded that I would have to apply again for a PO Box and pay additional fees, all with no guarantee that I would get the same box number ... the same number that is printed on about 1,000 business cards that are useless to me now. USPS Customer Care tried to intervene but couldn't help, other postal agents from other branches tried to intervene but couldn't help, and I wonder given that on top of that, there are all of these negative Yelps about this branch (with the exception of RM who is probably itching to blame the lost payment on me somehow and call me a dried up crouton or some such) why its staff isn't let go. ... union protections?! It's amazing to me. Their JOB is to make sure mail gets delivered, and they can't even make sure mail addressed to themselves gets to its destination. On top of that, they are happy to inconvenience and charge customers for their errors. ... I think I hate them. None of the staff were ever directly rude per se - Michelle et al (sorry, MP; supervisor, too) seemed very happy to be perfectly unhelpful - just inept, always undergoing some "investigation" that never seemed to result in any conclusion other than that regardless of the circumstances, their fault became my blame, and I would have to pay for it. I have never experienced such frustration trying to explain something so very simple to a human being ... I think they're human beings; maybe that's where I've gone wrong.... The customer is definitely not always right at this branch, and what's more, when the customer IS right, the customer is still not right. Staff obviously haven't even been trained to simply think like businesspeople. If the customer decides to go to another company, that money doesn't come to you, get it? Your business doesn't get a recommendation to another potential customer. In fact, you get a recommendation to a number of potential customers to take their business elsewhere. And given that USPS just reported huge financial hits, one would think the Postmaster General would want staff to encourage positive customer relations, not instead satisfy every stereotype of the uneducated, incompetent postal worker who can't reason her way out of a doorway. This must be where Satan buys stamps because every trip there is hell! The lines are always long because the employees are slow ,seem pissed off and just plain resentful. I have lived in the neighborhood for 7 years. I had a very important time sensitive package that I missed the delivery of at my home on a Friday. I called the post office and left a message for my carrier. He called me back and told me the package would be at the post office for Saturday pick up. I present the slip to Connie, (no name tag but I was told her name) She goes in the back for a quick minute and comes back and says there is no package, I asked if she wouldn't mind checking again and she told me in an angry voice , there was no package. I told her my mail carrier had called me and assured me it would be there. She then began to raise her voice and tell me mail carriers do not make phone calls.Then she told me I was holding up her line. I asked for a manager 3 times and was left waiting for 15 min. finally someone with a soul emerged and ask what the problem was. I explained what happened they took the slip and immediately came back with the package. Whenever I go back there I let others get in front of me to avoid her, I was there today and she made someone get out of her line because their envelopes (3) were not sealed before they got to her window. read more

I called exactly a month ago and Narda helped me locate a package that was delivered to the wrong address that ended up lost in the shuffle in this post office, and she got it delivered to me. She spent almost like 15 or 20 minutes looking for it... She deserves an award. read more

This post office is a nightmare. They are so, so rude. I watched helplessly as the "gatekeeper" belittled and berated 3 different female customers. The first woman was guilty of trying to approach a window before she was told she could do so. The mean gatekeeper berated her over and over and over for moving out of line before she had been "invited" forward. The second woman barely spoke English and was right in front of me. She was struggling to figure out what she needed to do to send her international envelope. The gatekeeper screamed at her multiple times and told her that she wasn't "listening" to her instructions. The woman simply didn't understand her and was trying her best. But the final belittlement was the worst. A young woman made the mistake of placing some personal items on the counter while she trying to wrestle with her package and was told multiple times that the counter wasn't her "coffee table" and that she needed to leave the room and get her stuff off the counter. This "gatekeeper" made every feel stupid, belittled, embarrassed and completely harassed. I've never seen anyone act like that. I will avoid this location from now on. Honestly, this seems to be the state of all post offices these days. If they are worrying about dying out then perhaps they should treat their customers better. read more

First time going to this post office and it was during my 1 hour lunch break. After reading all the negative reviews I thought I was going to be there for an eternity but I was in an out in less than 10 minutes! Every single time I walk into a post office I feel like a lost child. I walked in and was immediately helped by the wonderful Mrs. Kathy :) I needed to ship out a hat and she helped me pick out the right box without having to pay extra. She was also kind enough to help me tape up the box! Next I got the chance to meet my man Robert behind the counter who was super kind and helpful as well. Nothing but good vibes in this place. I think all these negative reviews are from moody out of towners who only have yelp accounts to write negative reviews so they can feel better about their bitter selves :) Overall great experience. I received an "attempt to deliver" message at my door. When I try to pick up my package, no one seems to know where it is. I went ahead and scheduled a re-delivery for the next day and here it is a whole week later and still nothing. The employees tell me I have to just wait it out and see... ???what?!!! So, it's not at the post office, and it's not at my residence, and the original sender has not received anything back. So where is it then? I just don't understand. I moved out of this area and I am happy that my packages don't automatically go to this post office anymore. OK, so it's pretty clear that most people don't like going to the post office. And if you have anything go wrong (missing package, delayed delivery, torn mail, etc.), you're almost obligated to come here and post a 1 star review. It stinks when something goes wrong with our mail. But it happens. And it sucks to have to wait in line for what seems like forever. But we live in a crowded city and this is a busy part of town. My solution? Go when it's off-peak hours, meaning not at 8 or 9 am or 5 pm when people are getting off work. I walked in at 3:30, there were three employees at the windows, and I waited all of 1 minute. Helpful employee who explained the differences between registered, certified, return-receipt, priority mail (no matter how many times they explain it, I never know which service I need...) and I was done in 3 minutes. I was shocked. Something that I budgeted one hour for took me a whole 4 minutes. Can't go wrong with that! read more
