The redelivery service people are horrible. I wanted to take a picture of the redelivery stub because they said they have to have it to redeliver my package. I knocked on their door again and asked if I could take a picture, and the lady working there said that she can't take my hassling any longer and said take the stub with me. Its a bit contradicting that they need the stub to deliver it but subsequently tell me to take it cuz I am causing too much trouble for it. I literally beg her to take it back since the package was dolls made by my 3 year old's grandmother (my mom 6000 miles away in Asia) Then she throws the stub on me and slams the door. I get agitated but leave the stub on the door still, which she opens the door and tosses it out again. At that point I ring the bell (a bit annoyingly long) and ask for her supervisor. She comes out after listening to her staff's version of the story, and a colleague who was near during my first encounter, and tells me to stop yelling at her(i was loud, but not yelling or menacing at all. But I guess USPS personnel are very sensitive since they deal with people like me on a hourly basis) and tells me that the 2 people present said I was rude. (I was saying please please please take the stub back) The supervisor tries to calm the employee/staff down as she curses me out (f bombs and a direct F$&k You to me) all the while defending her staff and instructing me to wait at home with the stub for a redeliver. The package was sent to us in my daughter's name so They couldn't release it to me, which I fully understood and didn't object one bit, I actually found my package which was in plain sight, I even tried to play the bad guy for not putting the package correctly in that spot (which was obviously the USPS' fault) and promptly gave them a date to redeliver, and just because I knocked on the door twice to first retrieve the stub(which was denied) then second to take a picture of it, i was being accused of harrassing, rude and cursed out is..... Now wonder USPS is losing customers to UPS, Fedex and the likes. A sorry excuse of a post office. I would not be surprised if the package never comes and is mysteriously lost, or the contents all shredded. I might sue them for mail theft at that point. What a headache. read more

My USPS guy who is based out of this location consistantly refuses to deliver my packages to me. I keep up on all my tracking, and can see when it's out for delivery. He then jumps back into his truck and drives off, only to get a notification of a "Failed Delivery Attempt". Yeah right dude! I've been standing in front of my shop anticipating this package. Pretty descent post office could use a little update considering it looks a tad old for the area it's in (outside of West Hollywood). Employees were actually just as nice as any other post office so I don't know why people are complaining. Had a $600 insured package just vanish into thin air after dropping it off at this location. Went back to complain and got the run around from everyone. No one can tell me anything. I'm baffled that this location currently has 1.5 stars. Yelp, you really should consider allowing negative stars because this USPS location is the absolute worst I've experienced in my entire life. I've had the complete misfortune of living in this post office's delivery zone for 12 miserable years. Not once have I ever had a good experience with them. Every package that I can't pay extra for to be delivered through a reliable service, like Fedex or UPS, gets lost or delayed. I've filed numerous complaints against this USPS location over the years to no avail. I can't even tell you how many missed delivery notices I received when I was at home, or never received a notice only to discover an "attempted delivery" in my tracking numbers. For at least the last year, the mail boxes for myself and several of the tenants in my apartment building are left completely unlocked and open because for whatever reason they can't/won't lock them. With regards to being at the post office location itself, the staff are consistently rude and argumentative. Once, they lost my package from within their own location and told me they weren't going to do anything about it. Another time, I was told that the delivery person locked my package inside the delivery truck and left it there overnight. Lines are usually out the door no matter what time of the day you make it down here. Any time I've ever called this office, the phone rings off the hook into oblivion. I seriously wish I could pay x amount of dollars per year to have my mail rerouted to another location. USPS, do you drug test? Where do I start. I came in at 9:30 to pick up a package and then was told to knock on a side door where package pick up is located. Okay, fair enough. So we go over and knock...10 minutes later an employee finally opens up and takes my pick up slip. 5 minutes later she comes back and asks other customers for their slips....uhh where is my package? She then asks me for my zip code again. Girl, I just gave you my slip! Anyway, she closes the magical door again and then we wait...and knock...and wait...and knock...and 20 minutes later she FINALLY comes back with my package. No apology or anything. I live in a secure building with separate fob access only mailroom. I have lost almost $1000 in items that show they were delivered to the bulk mailbox (which only the USPS Carrier has the keys to open) however seem to just disappear. One item is a scarf my grandmother knitted for me which shows as delivered however I never received it. I have filed claims. After I filed the last claim I received a call from probably one of the most ignorant people I have ever encountered. Her response was - "well - it shows it was delivered" - that's it. I again explained how I waited for the mail carrier on the weekend and he opened all of the bulk boxes for me. Well, there was a box that showed as delivered to me in January however in mid-February there it sat in a bulk box with no key anywhere. Same response. It is not lost on me that the only items that go missing are packages that show a brand - Etsy, Fenty, skincare are products and others. Unbelievable. If you order anything make sure you check to see how they deliver the item. I was trying to support small and minority-owned businesses however I can't afford to order from any company that sends the product via USPS. I had all but given up on the USPS in light of the office in Hollywood, but this post office on Beverly Blvd. in Los Angeles near The Grove has changed my mind. Not kidding. Something has changed dramatically at this location (maybe a new manager?) - the employees are happy - they even smile (kind of unusual, in my experience). They are also helpful, fast, polite and professional. There's a lady who "works" the line, helping everyone and answering questions before you reach the window (a lot of the time, after she helps people, they don't even have to go to the window and the is shortened). I've shipped 100's of packages from this location and (knock on wood) and not one has been lost or delayed. It's whole new world at this location :) read more

We have had the misfortune of having our mail stolen twice now. We live in a secure building that requires a key to enter. The Post Office uses a master key to enter any building to get to the mail room. They also have a master key to access the mail boxes for all units. The problem is that these keys are not secure and on two separate occasions thieves entered our building and then stole all the parcels and letters from residential mail boxes using this key. We reported this to the police but were told to contact the USPS to file a report. Having done this we came to this location to update how the carrier can access the building to better protect ourselves. As of this moment I have been waiting 1 hour and was just told that the supervisor for delivery to my building is unavailable. This after being told to wait in a particular location for the supervisor to come out. The other employees here say that they have nothing to do with that department and that this is happening all over the city. This is a National issue. The USPS needs to take responsibility and nobody is. Frustrating! read more

This place is the worst. It was my post office for years and I only get my mail some of the time. Really important stuff often got returned to sender, pinning me as unknown addressee! Really? I lived when said envelopes were addressed. When I complained the postal staff found my problems beyond helping. If this was a one time incident, okay, we all make mistakes, but over and over for years? wow, thats hard to forgive. If I could give negative stars, I would. I don't even want to get into the details of how badly this location has screwed things up for me, because it only reignites my anger. And I've only ever written one other negative review like this before, so it's not my usual M.O. I just want to warn anyone else who may be thinking of using this post office to conduct any mailing business AGAINST IT. THIS IS THE WORST POST OFFICE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. Service takes FOREVER. The workers I encountered (I'll be kind and not name them) were incompetent to say the least. I STILL do not have my package, which has been checked in at that location and then marked as an attempted delivery (which occurred when I was at home and certainly no one attempted delivery, nor was there a delivery attempt slip). Now the package is lost somewhere in that building and no one can seem to find it. No matter it was a $500+ item. To say I'm angry and baffled is an understatement. Will avoid this location forever. This has to be the most run down and neglected post office in the entire city. There is plaster falling off the walls, outdated tax forms and chewing gum imbedded on the floor. There simply aren`t enough workers there, except for an insolent few shuffling around in a stupor occasionally looking up to scowl at the customers standing in line. Worst. Post office. Ever! I've lived in their district for 10 years. They are constantly screwing up mail for me and my neighbors. Often, when they're too busy to deliver a packages, they will simply lie and put down that they attempted delivery and nobody was home. On days when we were home all day.) If you go on vacation and ask for a mail-hold, they will inevitably screw up and deliver your mail anyway. Try calling to get a manager. You'll be placed on hold for hours. I went to the post office to get a refund for $1000 money order because the business I made it out to doesn't except money orders. I had receipts and check stub. The employee, who I've seen be abusive multiple times to other customers, told me that they don't keep $1000 at the post office and that there's no way for me to get my money back. She suggested I tried depositing the check into my bank account even though it's made out to another company. I asked if there was a manager or supervisor I could speak to and she said no one's here. I asked when there would be one there and she responded " I don't know." I could tell at that point that she was determined to not help me in any way and seemed to enjoy telling me that there was no way I would ever get my thousand dollars back. Do you ever wish you could drop kick the post office? I do. I HATE this location. The line is always long, there are never enough people working, they are always low or out of boxes/mailers, the parking lot is small, the wait is forever, etc, etc, etc... After waiting in line forever today I get to the front to mail my package and they tell me I have to buy tape. This isn't my old shoe box from home, it's their priority mail box that that needs sealing. They'll give me the box but not the tape to close it? I'm supposed to know this and bring my own roll of tape from home? I hate these morons. They wanted me to buy tape for the $4 rip off price. I walked out. Another time I went there I also waited in line forever, but then when I got near the front they start pulling people from the back of the line and letting them cut in front of everyone. Seriously the nicest people ever! They have a tough job. I came 15 minutes before closing on a Saturday and so did everyone else in LA and they made it happen. They clearly have a stressful job but are very knowledgeable and helpful. They even have a side station where customers can pay by card at a little POS station- wow never thought US Post would get so technical! There was also plenty of parking for me at this location upon arrival which is tough. Erewhon supermarket is across the street too for convenience. read more

Buzzer for package pickup is broken, have to pound hard on a closed door for service (delivery notices), and if you are lucky they will hear you knocking. You hand a delivery notice card and are falsely told your package will be brought to you shortly. Then you circle around for 15 minutes, they come back and tell you they can't find your package. Then you describe it, they look again, and 15 minutes later same thing. They then say their computers are down. Big waste of time. Place is in shambles. I've had to go to this post office multiple times because I live close. The only negative about this place is the 'line assistant' or customer helper or whatever she's called. She's supposed to help keep things moving but her approach is counterproductive and rude, plus the information she's given others and myself isn't always true. I was in there this morning and I witnessed her get very loud and harass a woman at the window. This woman wasn't holding up the line at all, there was only about 2-3 people waiting in line and it was moving fast; this woman was just asking a question of the teller who was helping her. Asking a question shouldn't result in getting yelled at by a federal employee. On another occasion, I saw a guy say 'no thank you' to her. He was just standing in line waiting his turn. Again, the line was moving really well; there didn't seem to be a need to speed things up. And this 'line assistant' wasn't having it. She got really upset and forceful with repeated attempts. She didn't stop until a woman, who I think just jumped in to diffuse the situation, started asking questions about what she should do. I've experienced something similar myself in the past. I had to mail something and needed it to get there in a couple days; I was taken out of line by this individual (the 'line assistant') in a really obnoxious and condescending manner, made to fill out a bunch of paperwork/documents, then had to get back in line and wait again...only to get to the teller and find that there's a much simpler and cheaper option available to me. I appreciate the guidance and help that they're attempting to offer, it just needs to be given in a respectful manner. read more

I am so angry! Why is this the most frustrating post office in LA! Almost anytime of day is a bad time to go there. I made the mistake of returning to my old Bicentennial PO just to post a few boxes because I was near. Then I was reminded why I now go five minutes out of my way for another post office. Upon my arrival there were 10 people ahead of me. Thirty minutes later, there were still four people to go (including the old lady who cut in earlier pretending she was senile) and 15 minutes left in my lunch our. For years, the mail carrier would take packages to the management office in my apartment building, and I never had a problem. But in the last year, packages just started being put around our mailboxes, unprotected, and guess what? My birthday present from my parents disappeared. The tracking number says it was delivered, but no one here knows exactly who delivered it or can confirm it ever arrived. I was here twice, and no one could give me a straight answer. They had me call other people (from the hours of 8AM-9AM, nice), track down my normal carrier, only for her to tell me she couldn't have possibly delivered it that day, and there was no telling who did. And that was the end of it. Let's say it was delivered, and someone stole it. They're still accountable! If you would just leave the boxes with the management office like you have for years, this never would've happened. I'm so angry and sad that my birthday present has been lost and no one seems to care. I live 3000 miles from my family, and these little ways we keep in touch mean the world to me, but it's been violated. The date I got my app. was the earliest available. So the date comes both my husband and I took the day off, I also didn't take my 4yr old to daycare just in case he was needed. We get to the window the worker tells us "the agent is not here today so your app is canceled we called you and told you that." Ummmmm who called me exactly because Im the one who made the app. you have my information only and no one called me. So then they figured out that they called the wrong number so I was never informed my app was canceled. No apologies no I'm sorry for the inconvenience NOTHING !!!! The lady was super rude like we did something wrong, she was like we have a lot of appointments tomorrow but you can come and wait we can see if we can squeeze you in. Did I mention we took the day off and I made this appointment 3 week prior for this date lady we don't have all day any day free time to come anytime !!!!!! Oh and then she gives me an address next to LAX airport which is about 1hr drive with LA traffic and tells me they except walk ins I can go there. This office has ZERO respect to clients time zero!!! I don't know if they actually read this or not but if you are (I will be very respectful and not mention your name) advice from me to you someone that's been working in customer service for over 10yrs in Beverly Hills Market if your not happy what you do go find something that makes you happy. Stop being rude to clients specially when the mistake is made by you guys. #1 your agent doesn't show up #2 someone from you office fails to call and inform me. The only way I can accurately describe this place is by saying it makes me sad on the inside every time I go. It is seriously the most depressing post office I have ever been to. And its not just the staff. The customers are crazy too. Every time I come there is some drama or screaming match happening. And slooooooooow. Even if there is a short line, it takes 12x longer than it should. And surprisingly this mostly has to do with the customers. I know I shouldn't expect a 2-star experience at a Post Office but this is just... beyond. The woman in charge of the keys closed early. What an absolute cheat. It's not a restaurant. It's not a bar. You don't close based on volume or how you're feeling that day. It's the US Post Office. I know it sounds like there might be an inherent joke laced in there somewhere but it's not. People are sending checks, bills, signed documents, birthday presents... A few people were already waiting at the already locked doors knocking and asking for help, packages in hand, needing to mail things using the specific parcel chute only available inside. They were greeted by a woman just repeating on the other side of the glass door "It's 5." "It's 5." hoping we'd just ignore reality and believe her. I held up my phone to the glass door to show her it was indeed, not at all 5. Not even after the time it took for her to come to the door. Hard evidence and: "It's 5. It's 5." I work in customer service, on my feet, so trust me, I know what a long day is. I know what it looks like and feels like. I have no "weekends". I work on the weekends. I wasn't asking for another round at the bar. I needed to mail something that I received myself today and they closed early. The last pick up time on Saturday, come and gone.
