They will lose packages and give false tracking information just to tell their bosses that they have fast service. That means they will do anything to stop the time it takes to deliver a package. Thats all they care about. They will leave misleading and falsified tracking numbers. Like today, they had a package scanned 5 times available for pickup in Parsippany and nothing else, The whole time the package was in Mountain Lakes. 3 Day ago Mountain Lakes claims they didn't have package that was clearly stated as delivered. The clerk makes claims that its not there, but its been sitting in the PO Box the whole time. Another screw up thanks to Mountain Lakes. They scanned the package delivered when no one has picked it up. It should read "available for pickup" not delivered. Another scam to give themselves falsified credit. This has been going on for years and now we've had it. They waste our time and money traveling to the post office waiting in line, and then having to deal with their BS all the time. They refuse to take responsibility for anything they do and they play the moron blame game on someone else. Will no longer be using this nightmware of a post office!

For a period of time last year, we did not get daily delivery. Some mail went missing (which may not have been the fault of the local office), and now, delivery still seems erratic. Twice I have had a vacation hold on mail, and twice the mail was never delivered, even after receiving an email stating when it would be delivered. When I had an issue with missing bills and requested to speak to the postmaster, I was told he was not in, but could leave a message and he would contact me. No contact, even after a second request. There was a problem with numerous people not receiving their water bills. While this could have been a distribution problem elsewhere, I'll never know because no one bothered to contact me to find out what the problem was. Short of staff? Budget issues? I don't know, but I do know that it is frustrating.

I have been to this post office over 12 times this holiday season. For various reasons I was selling things on eBay , I had my Christmas cards to mail and a couple of presents. Everytime I come I'm greeted with a smile they have plenty of help so I never wait long. They give me suggestions on how to save money on my mailings. On top of that all of my packages and letters arrived in a timely manner and I couldn't be more happy.

He told me it would cost extra, but better a professional do it than me if things were going to arrive in one piece. There is a shopping parking lot on Valley, where you can enter this US Post Office location from the back. Also there is a ramp if you need at the back. Heads up - This location is a small office with only one clerk on-site. Depending on the day, there could be a wait - but not due to inefficiency of the clerk(s), but the line based on how many customers are there. I haven't had to wait very long, but that could be because of the times I've stopped inside. It's in a convenient location if you're in the Valley and it's the local PO.
