I am so disappointed with my mail carrier. I had a very expensive iPad delivered yesterday and our mailboxes where I live are right on the street and he left the iPad sitting on top of the mailbox in full view for anyone to see and grab. If I can add a zero star review I would unfortunately I can't. This is the worst customer service experience. If I knew this was the type of customer service I was going to receive for a passport processing application I would have waited 2 weeks for someone else other than this location to book me an appointment. The clerk who I didn't request her name who processes passports in the am she is an African American lady is the worst. She is extremely rude and unprofessional she gives you an attitude before a you even get to the counter. It is unacceptable the type of customer service she provided not just me but every single person in line that's day. I went there yesterday May 1st and it was extremely unpleasant. I seen her be rude to every single person. I had to to be there all day and just to get attended by someone that extremely rude. It definitely has nothing to do with work because I was one of the first people that day and she already had an attitude. Her supervisor was there and allowed for her to be rude to people. It's no reason this location has low stars the people there are not helpful and I was extremely frightened to ask questions based on her responses. I don't often use counter services at this location because the tiny post office on Via Tejon in Malaga Cove is usually far less busy (plus I love its friendly quaintness). But the inside mail slot here on Deep Valley works beautifully for me. It's accessible on Sundays when the other postal services are unavailable. Yeah I know there are more efficient ways to pay bills these days, but I still find myself sending some checks by snail mail. And I'm not going to put 'em into an outside mailbox on Sunday when there's no pick up because might get stolen. No problem at all dropping by this post office to mail stuff on my way to Bristol Farms a few doors away. Because there's so much free parking here, it's ridiculous. Easy breezy in and out. Just another reason to love the PV Hill. No traffic, gorgeous views everywhere. No wait.....I meant to say this place sucks, don't come here. Everybody stay away. : D read more

This is my main post office. I have been coming here forever. Now, here is the thing about this postal facility, most of the staff here are very nice and happy to help. There is really not one negative comment you can make about any of them. There is one staff member at this location, however, who is rude, lazy, and commonly refuses to even try to help if she would be required to get off of her stool or would be kept from taking her break for a couple of more minutes. I am not going to mention her name but anyone who goes to this post office will immediately know who I am talking about. How she has kept her job for this long of a period time is beyond me. But, I guess that is just the U.S. Postal Service for you. I have had a P.O. Box at this location forever and though 99% of the time all is fine and good, there have been periods when my mail continues to get misplaced and/or lost. I guess that is based upon the person who is putting the mail in the P.O. Boxes. When this has happened I am usually told there is nothing anyone can and/or will do about it. That is until I contact the Postmaster at this location and then, amazingly, the item is found. So? Explain that... The lines at the Post Office can get insanely long. As there has been a big cutback in staff levels within the Postal Service over recent years, commonly you will only find two people manning the counters. So, if the line is long, expect a long wait. This is all just for your information and to provide you with the goings-on at this location. Good or bad, this is what you have to deal with. read more

It's a post office. I think the one on PCH is better but this is the closest one. Kudos for a lot of covered parking. They removed the vending machine outside the main counter section. It was convenient for getting postage on larger letters but they replaced it with a "bulk" package drop off bin. Maybe they want people to use their online postage solution? It gets busy on the weekends and a lady helped to reduce the line by getting packages for people who missed delivery like me. It took a while but I got my package. I didn't have problems with certain employees like other people mentioned. It sounds bad. read more

Lester from the passport appointments was awesome & very compassionate! He really reassured me & helped me through the entire process. My mom & I had two different issues w/our passports but he was able to work out what was needed for both of us. He is wonderful & a great photographer! Another plus is the covered parking spots so your car doesn't roast while you are inside. read more

I made an appointment at 12:45 to get my minor's passport done. We arrived 15 minutes early as instructed and were not helped for an hour. We stood at the front of the passport line, but the rude employees took 2 other customers that arrived after us first. When we informed Coco that we were here first, she rudely snapped back at us with snarky and unprofessional remarks. The employees saw us waiting in line, yet never informed us of what to do. Coco claimed that she had never seen us in line, yet there were several customers waiting for a long duration and she had glanced over and "smiled" at us. When Coco finally helped us, she often chuckled at our confusion, sneering at her fellow employees when she walked by them. The good thing about this place is that an appointment is not necessary, but that was unfortunate for us as we had made our appointment a month in advance. read more

This post office has awful customer service. At least the woman who helped me was rude and not helpful. I left without even sending my mail after standing in line for at least a half hour. I don't know what the deal is, but it is as if she didn't want to be helpful. She treated me as if I were a little kid. Just for demographic info: I am a 57 year old white woman who grew up a mile from the post office. The woman who "helped" me was pretty much the same age as me. I didn't note her ethnicity. I treat everyone the same so... I wouldn't have noticed. I am only mentioning this because some people have experienced racism at this location. I don't mail things often. I have no idea what the right process is or forms are. I'd rather pay more and go to the UPS store nearby or drive somewhere else, than be belittled and unable to accomplish my task. What a jerk that woman was. I may go back just to see if she has a name tag and amend my post here to include her name. She's the worst. I have been coming to this post office for nearly 30yrs and have had a P.O. box there the past 17yrs. The first 24-25 yrs I would have rated this post office a 5. However the last 5 to 6yrs it has been a steady decline. The clerks went from all being pleasant & helpful, to one being grumpy, to now they are All rude, they act as though you are bothering them, clearly they are unhappy! Even this I can tolerate because I rarely need anything that I have to go to the counter for. Ironically they took away the self serve kiosk the same time the clerks became rude. What is really intolerable is the way they treat there post office box customers. I picked this Post office not only because of its location to my home, but the lobby was open 24/ 7 to P.O. Box and I use this for business. Then they closed at 2am, then 1am and midnight- not as good as 24hrs but do able! Since Covid when its need most to be open they have closed the lobby an 1hour after the front desk closes ( ie 6pm M-F, 3 or 4pm Sat and not open Sunday at all! If your box gets full they use to give key to bigger boxes. Now they remove all mail ( if you get magazines you are in trouble) and force you to come during postal hours. I would not have a need for a P.O. box if I were free and not working during postal hours. Even for those with 9 to 5 pm jobs ( I dont work late), unless you work in the mall next door, there no way you can fight traffic in time to get in door Before 6pm. I've had them lock the door in my face @5:58 and spend 3 minutes arguing with me thru the glass door! Meanwhile the price for P.O. boxes is steadily increasing! read more

WOULD GIVE 0 if I could! Yet another HORRIBLE experience with this EXTREMELY RUDE staff. Went to pick up an VERY important letter on 5/19 that was sent certified mail in my husbands name , which I have done many MANY times before, but this time they wouldn't give it to me? I gave them his ID, still wouldn't give it to me. OK... then called him on face time, and he spoke to them! STILL NOT ENOUGH!!!!?????? Ok, so I scanned the slip for a re-delivery next day on 5/20.... STILL NOT DELIVERED And it's almost 7pm. I have to admit, I went a little "POSTAL" when I was in there, but they look at you with their miserable frowns like they are forced to be there? I mean If you hate your job, maybe get a new one so your negative energy doesn't ruin EVERY CUSTOMER YOU ENCOUNTER maybe?? I'm definitely not the only person who has encountered these horrible women. I have to say my experience this time exceeded my expectations of customer service. Even though I didn't have an appointment for three of us, the gentleman was able to squeeze us in. This is the perfect place to go if you are in the P.V. area. They have plenty of covered parking and they have the automatic shipping machine as well as a huge lobby. THey also have an amazing friendly and helpful staff. I frequent Post Offices and they often are not very pleasant and don't seem happy to see you. This place should be on the commercials. They move the lines along and bring someone out for pick ups on busy days. read more

Gary is amazing. i stupidly dropped an important letter containing a check and documents w my SS security # on them in a local mailbox but realized i forgot to seal it. i waited in line at this PO not really expecting they could help me but while waiting, i heard how nicely Gary addressed every single customer despite how busy it was and was very impressed w that. when it was my turn, he called the driver en route who did the pickup, told me to wait 10 minutes then sifted through each letter til he found mine, luckily w the contents still inside. he helped me tape it up, informed me it was also short of postage and had my letter safely and securely on its way in minutes! I was so relieved and grateful, he saved me months of worrying!! read more

In the past 5 years I visited this postal office countless times and always had outstanding service. I usually try to come early in the morning before going to work to avoid long lines. There is a very convenient adjacent free parking lot which makes things even easier. I only wish they would open at 8 instead than 8:30! The lobby is also accessible for most of the day during the weekend so if you have to mail a stamped envelope/parcel this is the perfect solution! There are always shipping supplies available in the lobby. The employee Lester is very courteous, patient and professional and always greets me with a smile. read more

Exercise in futility here. I walked in a 11:30, which I assumed to be before the lunch rush. I was 8th in line, and it took 30 minutes for me to get processed. They had ONE window open? I did laugh as everyone in line complained aloud. Better yet, a family came to go through the passport process at 11:45, which she said was her appointment time. The one telle informed her that the person decided to take an early lunch and would be back in 45 minutes. After she mentioned that she had an appointment, the less than friendly reply was, "Well, you will need to take that up with the individual when he returns in 45 minutes." The one person working was Leonard, who was all business. He was anything but friendly to people, now I know what people act like when they hate their job. Stay away if you can, this place is a shinning example of why the U.S. Postal service is dying. read more

Most of the employees here are really helpful and nice but the lines here are ridiculous especially after 3:00. Be prepared to wait. Also, due to recent P.O. Box break ins, they have limited the lobby hours to only 6 days a week and from 5am-7pm. It would have been nice if they posted that over the hours posted on the outer doors announcing 24 hour lobby access. **AVOID PARVIN** She is rude, slow, unfriendly, unhelpful, and does not listen. The lady next to Lisa named Covette was helping an elderly man and was yelling at him to not lick the envelope before handing it to her. If I could give this place zero stars I would. In December I sent a letter with a money order to my brother in San Diego who's been at the same dress for over 10 years. They returned it to me three weeks later saying undeliverable as addressed. That is a load of garbage because I've been sending stuff to him for 10 years. I then had to battle them to give me my money back for the money order because of their mistake it was now too late to use the money order for what he needed it for.Then in January, I sent another letter out from the same post office which I dropped in the slot to an address in Redondo Beach that's been there for over 60 years. Same thing happened that it got returned to me 2 1/2 weeks later saying with their yellow sticker "undeliverable as addressed." What in the heck is going on with this post office? I read on Google reviews that this is happening to other people. This needs to be investigated. who on earth is running that place? Clearly an illiterate who can't figure out valid addresses. read more

I just love this post office. Taking care of postal errands can be such a chore regardless of which carrier is used. But this post office has made all the difference. All of the staff I've been helped by have been so courteous, thoughtful and friendly. Most other USPS offices don't carry packing tape for customers to use but for some reason, this location always has some readily available even for non priority shipments. It's never super busy and if there is a line there are multiple counters open to service the customers. It's even spacious, clean and organized unlike other USPS locations in the area. read more
