Always a line....always! Usually 30 min or so, up to over an hour in December. Last week, in line for 15 min when they announce, they are OUT OF STAMPS????? WHAT????. You're a post office, whose main objective it to facilitate mail delivery & sell stamps so we can use a mail box and not stand in a 30 min line. OMG, waited another 15min, mailed 1 package, then drove to a grocery store to buy stamps. 2 errands instead of 1........I see why they are on the verge of bankruptcy, zero customer service and total inconvenience. My mail carrier is nice, and the only bright spot in a government buracracy which has outlived its usefulness. read more

They have withheld mail for me since December 2016 when I moved into a new business location. I have notified them 3 different times that we are open and the mail carrier continues to mark my address as vacant! I went down there today to find out why I am still not getting any mail and am waiting for several checks to come in and was told only my carrier can answer that and she leaves at 12! Her name is Elvia and the person I spoke with went and checked and it does still show that my address is vacant which means Elvia continues to put that marker in my box so I can't get mail. I am waiting to hear back from the post master and Ms. Elvia to get some answers as to why she is refusing to do her job and withholding mail for over 3 months (which is a federal offense!). I came here to get a passport about 1 month ago. I scheduled an appointment and for some reason the woman helping me was acting like I was going to take hours to complete a short application. She left to "give us a minute" to fill it out. She came back 15-20 mins later laughing and saying she forgot we were there. I completed everything as asked and paid. Now I checked the status with the US government system and they said she input my DOB incorrectly so now I can't check the status until it's updated. Hopefully I get my passport in time for my trip that I planned months ahead for and it's not delayed due to her carelessness. Not to mention I was the only person there and she only does passports, you would think she could show a little more attentiveness. read more

This has to be the worst post office I have ever dealt with. My dad was a letter carrier so I know how the system works. I moved to PV a year and a half ago. The entire time I lived there I still got the previous person's mail, even with many, many notifications and a note on the mailbox to return to sender anything that didn't have my family name on it. The post office also HELD my mail for over a month without telling me and for absolutely no reason. I had to physically go into the post office to hunt down my mail when I ordered something twice and never received it. I moved out of PV 2 months ago, and knowing how bad the service is, I physically handed the forwarding address card to one of the attendees and asked her to make sure it got properly processed. I've never seen one piece of forwarded mail and called the post office several times to ask about my mail. They just said they didn't have anything, event when I knew for a fact that mail had been sent to the old address. Today, 2 months later, I received something from the UPSP National Service saying that I can't turn in a moving request 45 days after the move. No kidding!!! I can't even begin to explain how dumbfounded at what the PV post office could have done with my forwarding card for over 2 months. That is the reason I physically handed it to the actual person in the actual post office before I moved. Word of warning to anyone who has to deal with these people. You have to be on them, almost daily, to get your mail properly delivered and never assume that they properly forward mail. read more

I cannot even begin to express my frustration with this place. The Hispanic lady who wears an apron uniform was BEYOND rude. I had ordered an item online and it was delivered to this Postal Office per tracking information but was not put in my mail box at the SAME LOCATION for 3 days. I went to inquire about this and the Hispanic woman was so LOUD and RUDE with a thick accent who didn't comprehend basic English. She needs to be fired ASAP. read more

I always have had very good services at this location. I think the trick is go during weekday after 10AM and before 3PM. It is the least amount of traffic. My favorite service is the flat rate boxes. Squeeze in as much as possible for the same price. What a smart business deal by USPS. Service at this location is efficient. read more

I frequent post offices in other areas, but I've dealt with this Parvin character twice now... she is absolutely disgusting. Being rude is an understatement, as I ship things overseas all the time, and she had the nerve to say my handwriting is messy and illegible. I have never been told of that in my life, and when I brought that up, she then explained that I can get out of line for the next customer. The staff at the post office and it's carriers are the slowest and worst examples of customer service EVER. They NEVER answer the phones and the carriers complain if they ever have to get out of their vehicles. I very rarely leave reviews but I feel compelled to say something. This is by far the worst and slowest branch that I've ever been to. The lady there was very polite, and that's why I gave a 2, but both employees moved like sloths. I could see barely suppressed frustration and anger building in the customers waiting behind me. I was forced to come here because I had a package waiting for me otherwise I would have gone out of my way to go elsewhere. If you have a choice and value your time, go to a different branch. Avoid this place like a quarantined plague! I have a PO Box with this office. One time, they could not find my package even though I had a delivery confirmation showing Frank signed for it. The customer service rep., Denis, asked if I had insurance on the package even though it was in their possession. I had to go upstairs to the loading dock to sort it all out and eventually they located it in their facility. If it had not been for my persistence, I would have been SOL. Another time, they held my package for two weeks and returned it to the sender when they could have just as easily sent it to my home address, which they do have on file. Shortly after that, they held on to another package but didn't even put a notice slip in my box to let me know they received the package. If I hadn't received confirmation and asked, they probably would have sent it back too. The final straw that broke the camel's back occurred recently; they simply refused to accept the package from fedex. I called the office and one guy, William, said this is not my resident address. What the hell is a PO Box for if I can't send my mail to the address? I pay a fee for them to accept my mail and they refuse to render service. I was then transferred to Dennis who pretended to be the head supervisor and would not transfer me to his supervisor, after refusing to take responsibility for their neglect. He lied and said he was the head supervisor. When I called back, he claimed he was the station manager and that William was the Postmaster, which clearly contradicts his first statement about being the head person in charge, but come to find out after researching online, William is not the postmaster. The postmaster is some guy named Jeremy J. Ferrero. I ended up having to pay $30 for fedex to redirect the package to my residence and hope I'm home to receive it so they don't have to leave it out for people to steal. So not only are they incompetent, but they refuse to be held accountable for their acts and omissions, and they blatantly lie to avoid reprimand. I know all of this may sound stereotypical for government workers, but this is also so unacceptable. These guys think they can act with impunity because they work for the feds. Something needs to be done about this. read more

I avoid going to my neighborhood post office like the plague. Same staff for years and very unfriendly. They should retire. Who ever the supervisor is does a poor job with morale and needs to improve customer service skills. I try only to use the kiosk or go to Malaga Cove but now the nice people have retired there and replaced with more unfriendly drones. read more

Kevin is the best !!! His service to help me recover my pavkahes was impeccable. This so happened that I was out of town and my packages somehow got misplaced. I had lost the hope Of retrieving my packages back. From the time I got in touch with Kevin, he was very prompt in responding and following up. Amazing staff. Very nice friendly and helpful. Stopped there during my lunch to renew the passport. Within 20 min I got my picture taken and printed, filled application, paid for passport and photos, bought stamps and was on my was of buying ice cream in Ben and jerry. read more

I can't say that I don't appreciate the work that is done by the postal service in this day and age where you can pay all your bills and change an address using a home PC. I also think all customers should be treated with at least some cordiality for the same reasons. There is one seasoned gentleman there that appears to look upset or disappointed when I come in to the office. I asked him for an envelope and he brought out a smaller size than I was hoping for. No issue yet. I asked him if there were larger envelopes (looking for Manilas) and he told me "if you want a larger envelope you have to go and get one." So I ran out of the line and quickly grabbed something close to the size I wanted. I lost my place in line though because he took the next person who knew I had already waited 15 minutes. I live in the area. I'm not going to Torrance when I can go a few minutes from home. At least fake a smile. The only reason I use the Post Office nowadays is because of some aspects of educational institutions are still not paperless. read more

On the whole, rude, unfriendly service. Very hit or miss...but more often than not, it is an unpleasant experience.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. "Service" does not seem to apply to "US Postal Service" in this office. Where do I start? -Mail delivered to the wrong address - an ongoing problem for the last 10 years. I go to the PO, make a complaint and it's delivered correctly for a while and then starts again. Our house number is in 3" numbers on both sides of the mailbox, and next to the front door. No mystery about the address on this house. -Paid for next day delivery. Waited all day at home and no package. That evening online update showed "No one home - note left with delivery information." But no note was left. Went to the PO to track down the package. No one at the desk knew if it was in the PO or out for delivery. I stayed put asking for my package. Finally given a phone number for "the guy upstairs" where my package might be. However, no one working at the counter was allowed to go upstairs and check. Waited at the counter calling the number repeatedly until "the guy" picked up. He brought the package down to me after a 10 minute wait. Since the package was still at the PO it was obvious they weren't going to deliver it that day either. So much for next day "service." -My husband took an envelope in that had to be postmarked that date. Lines were long and a male postal worker came out to the counter and announced "does anyone have an item that just needs to be mailed?" My husband and 3 other people came to the counter with the same request. He took all their mail. They all stated the envelopes had to be postmarked that date. He assured them they would be. Guess what? Post mark was not stamped that date. I could go on but you get the idea. Don't expect "service" at this US Postal Service office. read more

They are fast and professional not like other Postal offices. They were willing to answer all my questions and process my shipment.

This is our main post office, been going here many times. The staff here are super friendly, nice, helpful & welcoming. Lines get crazy but they do their best to accommodate. Try to go here early in the mornings my right at 9 AM when they open. Avoid lunch time & rush hours. This mornings by I want in & out to pick up a package. It took less than 5 minutes. There is plenty of indoor free parking as well. read more

I came in here today and I had the absolute worst experience ever. There was a lady working there and she was extremely rude to me. Her name is VIDA. Made rude hand gestures and way too much attitude. This is ridiculous and I didn't expect this type of behavior from the post office staff. I've called and complained to the manager there. My parents are severely cripple and cannot make it to their mailbox due to the steep incline. We have repeatedly asked our postal worker to please bring it to the front door area. We always leave a treat or water for their efforts. Our new postal worker blames his 'boss' for not allowing him to deliver the mail to thier door, as he on a tight schedule. This is crap. He has decided not to walk the 15 feet to help out an old couple. Shame on you. read more
