Unbelievably ridiculous. I brought my 83-year-old father, who has dementia, INTO the post office to change his address. He was literally standing at the counter and signed the form in front of the employee. I had his photo ID, my ID, and power-of-attorney documents. His ID is expired because--shocking, I know--an 83-year-old man with dementia no longer drives. Apparently, the actual human being standing directly in front of them was still not sufficient. After wasting 15-20 minutes reading my POA and calling a supervisor, I was told I needed yet another document proving his old address. HE. WAS. STANDING. RIGHT. THERE. Meanwhile, it was 4:00 p.m., there was ONE employee working, and about 12 people were stuck waiting while this circus played out. I understand fraud prevention. What I don't understand is a process so rigid that all common sense apparently goes out the window. Families caring for elderly parents with dementia have enough to deal with without turning a simple change of address into an obstacle course. I finally walked out. Hostile, humiliating service during newborn passport appointment. I had an extremely upsetting experience at this post office during an appointment involving documents for our newborn daughter. We came in as a family with a newborn and a toddler, expecting basic professionalism and help with an important government document process. Instead, the clerk assisting us was hostile, impatient, and unnecessarily aggressive. At one point, our toddler rang the service bell, and instead of handling it calmly like a professional, the employee became angry and yelled at us. This was completely inappropriate. We were not being disruptive or disrespectful; we were parents trying to complete paperwork while managing small children. The situation became even worse when I asked whether I could take my child to the bathroom. The clerk refused and said she needed my signature, as if a basic human need for a child was an inconvenience to her. The way we were treated was cold, rude, and humiliating. I do not know the employee's name because no one answers the phone at this location, but the office should be able to identify who was working the passport/document counter on the date and time of our appointment. This location needs serious customer-service retraining. Families with newborns and toddlers should not be yelled at, treated like a burden, or made to feel intimidated while completing official paperwork. I would strongly recommend avoiding this location if you need passport or document services, especially if you have young children. read more

The good : iIts the only local US Post office that is close to RSM and Coto and all of that portion of S Orange County other then driving to the MV Post office by the MV Mall or LN Post office. It has two to three self serve post machines that can get busy during busy times but for the part they are usually available for the mailing of packages or buying machine generated stamps . Neg : Ugh the wait at this post office is ALWAYS - a wait . You can almost never just walk in and get up to the window and get help and walk out . Today I went in to mail one small package out and the lady at the window ( this after standing in the 20 min line at 2:45 pm on a Monday she told me I had to use a label on my package so I had to go and re-write the address info and put it on a label ( so I found a sticker ( my bad the priority sticker I tore off priority ) and it showed FROM : TO: So I completed the label info with Just the white label and my address info get back in line and go to pay ( keep in mind I am returning an envelope for my elderly mother that had left info telling me it was a prior authorization Return that would cost no more then $7. 95 so when she rang it up and it came up to $25.95 I said what that's more then her product she is returning, the lady said yes you have it going PROIRTY MAIL !! I said no I dont , show me where I show that , she said well you used a priory label even if the label is just the white part I am Charging you the Priority Price - if you don't want that you have to get back out of line and go BUY A PLAIN LABEL FOR .99 cents ? I said really I get to get out of line for the third time and now go write this AGAIN ? I have been here now 45 mins , so there I went and bought the .99 cent label all to return a freaking package and get back in line the third time . Now after 50 mins I paid $7.95 plus .99 cents for two plain FROM AND TO LABELS . I hope she had a lovely day, she could have been much nicer and typed the address on the label like they used to do . We LOVE Pamela! She is always SO KIND and helpful, genuinely a sweetheart and great worker! Tactful and knowledgeable, and we love to see her face when we come in! we ship out of this location regularly and sometimes just need simple postage, stamps of just tracking, the staff in general are always happy to assist as well. We use our own stamps and shipping label sometimes, so if there are any discrepancies, they're always mindful to point it out to us and help us fix it! It's nice seeing the same faces after many years. They work effectively here, I think the complaints about the line and waiting are for people who don't manage their expectations. I wish I could give a negative figure instead of one star, because this place does not even deserve one star. My first time here and for sure the last time. Made an appointment for passport service at 9am, came here around 8:50am noticing that only one girl was working there. She seems to be friendly assisting all the customers on the mailing services. When I told her I had an appointment at 9am for passport service, she looked SHOCKED which made me feel like they have no idea about my appointment, the look on her face also assured me that there's no one in the office at this moment to help me. She asked me to sit and wait, but I left around 9:15am cause I know the staff for the passport service was not there yet. It's very disorganized, and not respective of customers' time. On every level. he talked to me like I was trash and I am embarrassed that I even allowed it to happen. . I will never return to this Post Office. so glad that my post office now thinks delivering mail is an option they get to chose to do at random. so sorry for interrupting your week demanding that my mail actually get delivered to me at the address as posted. when a package states "live animals" on it, not only does it mean that the animals were alive when packaged, but are sent off with the goal to still be alive when delivered. my package was supposed to be delivered 3/7. i waited, however that never happened. then i was told that they would be delivered the following day (which was a sunday so i thought that was odd). needless to say that again never happened. then i watched them be driven around the area since about 6 am yesterday. still no delivery. the person who was supposed to deliver them documented that they were delivered to my mailbox at 8pm. however, the address of this delivery mailbox belongs to the post office, in a different city about 10 miles away from where i and my mailbox are located. today i went to the post office in yet another effort to possess my package. apparently the package with the once live animals was again loaded onto the truck ( four days after they were supposed to be delivered). i'm keeping my fingers loosely crossed that this driver will take it upon himself to remove the package from said truck and deliver the animals to my door. sadly this is not my fist round of problems with this driver (let alone branch). glad that the animals were insured. i'll let their dead bodies know that should i ever receive them. i am sure they will be very relieved to hear that! read more

Just an FYI about the RSM post office. I reused a postal box that I had received Xmas gifts in; the brown kind with the blue lettering that they charge for with the prices PROMINENTLY displayed inside. I walked into the P.O. with my package already taped up with my own label I paid for and printed at home. I self-scanned my item on one of those handy little no contact machines they have inside and put my package in the bin they have in the lobby. I love being able to do this myself, no contact, no hassle right? Upon walking to my car a postal worker chased after me and confronted me in the parking lot asking if I needed to pay for the box and basically accusing me of stealing it. This was pretty embarassing as there were a lot of people inside wondering what I had done so wrong as to have a postal employee chase me outside. I went back the next day and asked her why she did that; what on earth made her suspicious of me? She said her hispanic co-worker told her that I stole the box (dark hair, glasses, short). Which goes back to my suspicions/theory that the hispanic workers like to act rudely to the non-hispanics that come in for service. She also explained that she was just doing her job and there was no apology given for her accusatory behavior which is why I chose to put my review here. Putting herself in my shoes, I would never accuse someone of stealing unless I saw it with my OWN EYES. But hey, that's just me. I don't care too much for the location of this post office. I'm sure that some may find it conveniently located within the mall, but that is one big reason why I'm not too keen on their location. They are located next to KFC, a kid's gym and a few other businesses, which can make parking tight during peak hours. I like post offices that have their own parking, so you can drive right up to the drop off mailboxes and not have to park and come out of your car. That makes it so much more convenient for customers. I also don't like that the one time that I received a package in the mail and stood in their long line for a teller, only to be told (grumpily) that they don't have packages at this branch and was sent to another location down the road. Makes no sense to me when clearly this would be considered my local post office. I'm still not sure how I feel about the number system at the local post offices here in California. Sometimes it seems to be a bit of madness and confusion even with the number pulling system. I think I like the old style of how things are ran in Hawaii where they just help the next person waiting in line. In comparison to other post offices that I've been to, I'm giving this branch 2 stars. read more

Back in the day, this post office used to be better. The service was still slow but at least the post office workers were friendly. Now the service has gone completely downhill. The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars instead of 1 is because Juan, the manager, is still friendly, but unfortunately he's the only one. The other day I came in and the lady behind the counter was on her phone almost the entire time I was there, even when there were customers in line and as she was "helping me". I kept thinking, aren't there cameras here? Does her boss see that she's on her phone? Then today I came in and I asked a guy behind the counter if my flyers would go out today because he just tossed them on the side. He gave me a look like "duh". Seriously, what's with the attitude? If you don't like your job, go to a place that will make you happier or don't be in the service industry. I'd recommend avoiding this post office if you can. read more

This is a joke, I haven't gotten my package in over a week. They said they were delivering on thurs, then friday and then Saturday and then Monday and I called Tuesday and the guy was real nice and said he'd call back...however I never heard back. I had asked a question for the Postmaster and have not gotten a response as yet. I would have thought, I would have gotten a response given a pledge of service. Local mail carrier is great. I will ask my question again: Local HOA is planning to implement a no parking rules near mail boxes. I have no issue with this except there is really nothing noted anywhere as to distance from mail box. HOA will be issuing 10 feet on either side. RSM municipal code does not have anything like this so I request the Post Master to respond. I did contact the US Post Office HQ and they stated that they follow local municipal code. There is some confusion; our HOA rep says he got something from the local PO supervisor advising him that 10 feet on either side was the regulation. read more

I mailed a package on Saturday I put it into their blue bin outside, it is now Wednesday and the package still has not been registered and tracking number is still blank, I went into this post office to ask them what happened to my package and they said well you put it in the wrong bin because the envelope is too thick so it we were diverted to a sort facility and your tracking number should update soon but now it's been four days and still no update to my tracking number the envelope fit into the bin fine but was 1" thick.. this is a joke.. where is my package? Honestly I think this place is about as good as a post office can get. It is a bit of madness because so many people come here but that what the number system is for. As well they have mutiple machines were you can do it all yourself from flat rate packages, stamps to regular post fees. The machines are available at all times so you can handle your mail at night if needed-its super easy and almost rarely a line (during the day). When I do deal with the people here (which is fairly often) I have always been dealt with courtesy and efficiency. They often recommed alternative shipping to save money and are patient if you need to make a quick change. And the line always moves at decent pace. Usually I get a number, write up and package my stuff and they have already called my number... I've lived in many places with ok to horrible post office service-this place is nice! But perhaps the fact that I alway greet the post people with huge smile and good attitude has something do with what gets recipricated. Just a thought. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I have written two separate reviews on the post office website and nothing has changed so I am resorting to Yelp. Hopefully someone sees this and finds it helpful. The employees at this post office are so rude it blows my mind. I have witnessed yelling, bullying, and ridiculing behavior from the employees at this post office. As I was walking in today, I wanted to purchase a bubble mailer so I got in line and Maria at the front said she was closed so I asked her "how do you want me to pay for this bubble mailer then?" she's sighed LOUDLY and rolled her eyes at me and said "come here then". Excuse me but not even my own mother speaks to me that way. She rings up the bubble mailer and pushes the cash button. I put my card into the machine and she says oh I rang it up for cash so you have to pay cash. She did not ask me how I was going to pay, she did not tell me she was not accepting card, and she gave me the rudest attitude when I told her I didn't have cash... she then begins to complain about how the post office closes at 3pm blah blah blah. Put a flippen sign up. You have plastic in front of you....utilize it. Put a damn sign that says we close at 3pm. The last customer will be taken at 3pm. Why in the world do you think it is appropriate to yell at people while they have been standing in line that you're closed or that the post office closes at 3pm?! Then to top it off, those of us who were standing in line go to use the self service machine and it's OUT OF ORDER. What was there response?? "It'll fix itself, we are closed" and closed the gate. Get your employees some classes on customer service or simply replace them. Do you know how many people would be so grateful to have a job at a post office in this pandemic?? Replace your employees with someone who deserves to have a job in an air conditioned office, who will treat people with respect. Customers should not have to resort that kind of treatment or behavior for postal services. Update: I've added another star after reporting my awful experience to the USPS (800)275-8777 and then speaking to Consumer Affairs, my experience as mentioned below was taken very seriously with a follow up call from local USPS supervisors and was addressed appropriately. 12/26/2018: Young woman who is a USPS employee was shockingly rude to me...so inappropriate. I've never experienced anything like it...but I will say, it starts from the top and trickles down. I've experienced some attitude before but never to the degree of this experience in which I was treated with such a degree of disrespect and humiliation in front of several other customers in the retail RSM USPS Store and one other USPS employee. I bought something off Amazon and needed to return it. I've always used kohls for Amazon returns but this was my only option this time. I printed everything and took it with me to ask how to do it. The girl tells me which label goes in the bag, outside the bag, and to tape securely. Great. I started doing it all and I use the only tape there. I tape it up. The tape fell off the gun made a huge thud. There was no one else behind me in line at this time. Just the 2 girls working the counter. She saw me using the tape( the wrong one) and didn't bother to stop me or let me know I needed different tape . When I'm done I go back to her and ask if it was ok. She goes " it isn't, you see theres a G on the label and you used priority mail tape. It will get sent back. So she tells me take the tape off and use clear or brown packaging tape . Which of course is not free. Or the other option was go home use my tape and come back. That's what she said. Well why would I go home and come back??? So no more free return. I buy the right tape and tape it up. I get back in line. The other lady is chatting with someone she knows. As soon as that lady leaves I start walking slowly to her and she tells me I'm actually doing something sorry. So I go back to the line ( there was another customer with the first girl) then the young man sitting at the separate counter on the otherside of store yells to help us. I give him the package. He scans it prints receipt explains where to track it and done. What should have been a 5 min stop turned into 20 and cost me $4. I dont go here often and I think its actually worth the drive to go to a different one. read more

This post office has the rudest people working at this outlet.I have to go there every day to deliver mail from my office. Sometimes I have 5 or 6 envelopes to send certified. Their attendants ask you to fold and glue the little slips on the envelopes, or to do other of the tasks that are done by the post office staff anywhere else. They are 3 people there that do this; the same ones that treat people like cattle. At the busiest time of the day, they have only one person taking care of a long line of waiting public. Well, I was treated like a 2nd class citizen and had a heavy hispanic guy waiting on me. He couldn't understand what I was asking and I realize wearing a mask doesn't help. When I asked if I could talk to a Supervisor, I was told there was no one there working other than another person waiting on customers. I said, I would like someone else to wait on me. I went in to send a package (Direct TV HD Boxes) as my mother had suffered a stroke and was no longer was at home. I showed the young boy working the counter that the box had a shipping label from ATT U-verse and he informed me that he could not send it because the top flap needed to be taped. I acknowledge that I don't have packing tape at home and asked if he could help me out by providing me tape to put one strip across the top. He told me no, that I would have to purchase a roll of tape from them, even though there was a tape gun within reach of him. I explained my situation and asked again if he was sure he couldn't help and he just shook his head "no". I ended up driving to another post office who was more than willing to help me out. Don't even bother using this location. God forbid you ask an employee for any help! If I could give this place 0 stars I would. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST customer service ever!! Every single time I come they are nothing but rude. I typically have 1 if not all 3 of my kids with me, and the workers are extremely impatient. They don't try to help you at all, and they have literally tried to scold me if something on my mail was accidentally missing like a zip code that I could easily fill in within seconds. I rushed over to drop mail off 15 minutes before they closed and she kept telling me we are about to close ma'am! Yes, I'm aware... instead of being so rude with me, maybe do your job and HELP! Instead of helping she told me I needed to go over to the machine and do it myself, even though I had 25 pieces of mail, all of which were already addressed and ready to go. All she cared about was closing and getting off the clock before 3, she then tried to tell me next time I needed to be there at least 30 minutes before they closed. Excuse me?! So you don't do your job the last 30 minutes if your shift? I should include, every time I've come, there's been maybe 1-3 customers in the entire store, so it's not because they are busy. And it's any time of day, they've done this in the morning, they've done this in the afternoon. They are the only location near my house but Im literally going to start driving out of my way to avoid this place. It honestly needs to be shut down. I'll be calling to file a complaint on Monday. This place is sooo hit or miss. Sometimes it's busy, other times it's completely dead. I suppose there are probably certain regular times it is busier than others, but I'm never in here on a consistent enough of a schedule to figure out what that is. Also, the employees are hit or miss too. Sometimes I leave knowing I got jipped, and sometimes I leave happily knowing I *didn't* get jipped (which is a rarity for me with mailing services). I've only been here once, but they've "lost" 2 packages since I moved here 2 months ago. Both times, the tracking info online says it's at this Rancho PO. I've shown up and mainly called... but the workers always said it isn't there, and never has been. So who the hell is scanning it in at this facility? Is there a ghost scanner? Maybe a virus deleting scanned in items? Or is there another scanning facility with the same address and phone number that's not linked to this one? Cause those are really the only options. Or the workers are doing a little five-finger Christmas shopping. So I schedule redelivery online for a Saturday when I can sit at home all day. Tracking info online says there was a redelivery attempt, but there wasn't... and my apartment community office who signs for all packages never saw anything from the postman, and they were nice enough to be on the lookout for me. I receive packages almost every other day (Amazon Prime), and never have problems with FedEx, DHL, UPS, etc... but the only packages I get via USPS Rancho get shipped back to London! This is why USPS will never survive. If it weren't for Amazon saving them, they'd already be obsolete. Just like I welcome Uber, Lyft, Sidecar, and Curb to take over the taxi market... I strongly welcome FedEx, UPS, and DHL to take over mail delivery service. read more

This is, unfortunately, the closest United States Post Office to my residence; if I ever come across the need to deliver a parcel through the USPS for fun, like it's still the 20th century, then I come here. The last time I walked into this branch they just started issuing 29¢ Elvis stamps and I've never been back... Until today, where they now have a Elvis Forever stamp and the same lukewarm service the US Post Office has been branded with. They are highly unprofessional and the most unhelpful individuals. We didn't give them their jobs. They applied and now make people's lives a living hell when anyone walks in. On another occasion the lady was so rude and hostile I asked her "why the hostility"? She had no comment. My fiancé was mind blown how rude she was to me! People have bad days I get it, I have bad days too! But, I come here too often that the same people are always such a****!!!!! If you're so unhappy go somewhere else, maybe a desk job where no other humans have contact with you, go to the gym, etc FIND A SOLUTION! Maybe it's a requirement the post office looks for, WHO KNOWS! Each time I have been here there's some jerk, I could go on but I'll stop.
