You need time and patience to visit this post office. The wait is ridiculously long. Picture this: three counters and only one person assisting customers, customers that have a lineup of questions and need support filling out paperwork, customers that stand in line and then get to the counter for assistance taping their box and labeling it. What I thought would be no more than 10 minutes was almost triple the time. When it was my turn, I was a quick qr scan, print label and done. Service for me was quick and the lady was very nice. She apologized for my wait and thanked me for my patience. I thanked her for her patience. Customer service is not for everyone. Prices are higher for decorative packaging so bring your own. My three stars is for condition of the post office. USPS needs to hire a cleaning company and additional support for restock. This place is filthy and the workers and customers deserve better. There are cobwebs in every corner, visible dust covering the vent, disgusting floor that you need to not only have mopped but stripped and waxed, sanitize surfaces, clean the windows and counters. After a thorough cleaning, keep up with displays, ensure forms and boxes are refilled and available. I doubt after one hour of being open that everything just disappeared. Remove signs off the wall that no longer apply. This location is convenient to work but not my usual post office. read more

Went in for a form and the guy behind the counter gave me attitude when I couldn't find them. Honestly, he might have been playing at my expense to make the other customers laugh or he might have actually been rude just for the hell of it. One of the clerks does not mind telling you to stand to the side if you don't have all your paperwork filled out, I can appreciate that as someone that comes to the post office with a plan and everything ready to go. read more

I waited outside the front door 20 minutes prior to opening. At 9:30 the employee opened the door and told us that he was unable to print labels for any type of mailing and could only sell stamps. He saw that there was a line of people waiting to enter the facility. Instead of him, opening the door and being courteous enough to inform us of this they let us stand out there in line just to be dismissed. In that 20 minute period I could've gone to a different post office to mail a very important priority overnight envelope. To say I am upset is an understatement. read more

Wow... just wow. I can see why this location is closing down. I use the flat rate boxes that USPS provides quite often for the convenience, but one person can change what should be convenience into a complete headache. The first day I walked in, no flat rate boxes were available to grab, so I had to go up to the counter to ask for some. The worker looked like I was a complete inconvenience for asking. Second day, I needed another, still not stocked, still looked at like an annoyance. Also on this day I wanted to confirm being able to pay when I dropped them off (it's a flat rate box). The worker looked at me like I was the dumbest woman on the planet, talking about needing to print out the label or get a QR code and prepay online. Again... this is their priority flat rate box. I ignored this because this isn't right. Came back the next day with packages in hand. I didn't fill out the addresses in their entirety because they're all going to the same place and I know the label gets printed. The worker gets the absolute WORST and attitude, shoving the box in my face saying "what's missing? What's this???" I go off to the side to fix the boxes, meanwhile another man comes in and the worker is completely pleasant with him. They finish up, I go to pay... complete rudeness, not saying a single word, head shaking, eye rolling. Looking through all of these reviews, it seems like a lot of women had a similar experience. This is my favorite post office they are quick and efficient here's a tip come really early since this location is small it can and will have a line if you wait till near closing. 2/4:30pm Especially from people that get in line with out address on the envelope . This location is super small but one of my go to for their drive thru mail drop off and easy in and out customer service provided at the counter since this location is easy to be accessed from Highway 5 and get back on to go downtown or North. The downfall, is it is small and parking is a pain as this USPS is located in residential area, alot of residence park on the street and the actual USPS parking spots are always taken. Ive noticed lately that the mailboxes went from 3 to 2 and now to 1, with that 1 being backwards and not easy to access. You park, get out and put your mail inside, not convenient at all for drivers. Not sure what happened here. I will still more than likely come here from time to time. Staff inside is always friendly and runs a smooth operation. read more

My first impression of this post office was not nice, the older male postal worker was rude and nonchalant. Then I went on Saturday to pick up packages, they open at 9-1pm for packages. It was 10am and the doorbell was off. I could hear voices because the top of the wall is screen, I yelled hello no answer as if they were being avoidant. An older lady said sometimes they are sleeping and to look through my box to see if I can see anyone. I had to walk to the back of the building for service and the young lady was just standing there. Atleast get folks who know customer service. There was only one woman who was helpful ands courtesy to customers. read more

I came in around 430 and had a bunch of overseas packages that I was trying to ship; the African American woman who helped me was phenomenal. She let me stay to keep processing the packages even after they locked their doors. I wouldn't recommend planning on this, because it's rude to expect and it's not how the business operates, but absolutely incredible customer service without being asked. Did not greet me, she said "What are you here for" I told her I needed to pick up a letter to that she said "where's your slip". I've been coming to this Post Office for about a year or so. It's never crazy busy. The most people I've seen in line is maybe 15 and they usually have 2 to 3 clerks helping customers at the desk. They speak Spanish here so that's helpful considering the neighborhood. Their cutoff time for priority mail is 4pm. A lot of post offices cutoff at 3pm. Even though I have a Box at the Horton Plaza location, this post office is the closest to my home. I haven't been here that often, but this place DOES get BUSY around closing time. They close all the doors and you asphyxiate until you leave; they don't seem to have air conditioning. If they're aren't busy, things run smoothly, without any mishap. Let's be honest, who loves having to go to a post office. This place is just like anywhere else . Get here early enough to beat the foot traffic and you'll be fine. I usually use the drive thru drop box .This is very convenient. But if you have to walk in, I try and come in before 3pm. As for the staff there as helpful as can be . I've only had MAYBE five packages ever delivered to my apartment on Logan Avenue, A) because it's hard to find and B) because it's just not safe to receive valuable packages since I have shady neighbors with even shadier friends. I usually just have packages delivered to my office. A few days ago, I decided to have a small box delivered to my home, however, knowing that it would at the very least be put into one of the locked package receptacles in our standalone mailbox. The other handful of times, it's been left in one of these or just been thrown over my gate. I came home yesterday and was horrified to find this small package sitting ON TOP of the standalone communal mailbox, ripped open, and the contents stolen. Over a hundred dollars worth of prescription skin care - gone - and the shipper didn't offer insurance so I'm shit out of luck, of course, because USPS (read: government) never owns up to literally anything. What is this? Those package receptacles were specifically engineered for lazy mailmen. I would absolutely LOVE to know what the excuse was. Apparently I have no choice of which post office gets to deliver my mail or package. I order a amazon package and I even put a note on my mailbox stating that the house is located separately in back alley from the house up front and for all packages to be dropped off at the house. I checked my tracker to see if my package was here and it was so I went outside and it's know where at my front door so I checked again and there was a picture of where the package was, the package was left on my neighbor front gate steps ‍ it's like they don't know how to read or follow directions. Then now my higher problem is I have 6 packages that I'm expecting for some reason all 6 package in the tracker says it was delivered okay deliver to where ????? There was no note or nothing stating the package was out for delivery. So I just lost 6 muther fucken packages that is know where to be found or located because they can't read where to deliver it to the correct house. This post office should be closed down or needs to get rid of all the bad apples and hire new staff who can do the job. read more

Friendly staff at this location which is small only 3-4 registers and usually only 2 open. When there is a long line staff from the back comes out to assist, this happens often. Parking is available but is a messy set up. You often see the public double parking on the side street. I wish they had a dedicated drop off counter or something. read more

It's certainly almost never busy, yet can still take forever and good luck trying to get anyone on the phone. The manager who I dealt with was beyond rude when I complained about my completely incompetent mailman. I have had multiple issues with packages not being delivered simply because the lazy mail guy didn't feel like opening my front gate and walking to the door. I have had even more issues with packages never showing up but being marked as delivered. I am at the point where I am ready to pay for a PO box so I don't have to constantly wonder if any packages I order are actually going to show up or not. read more

Setting aside the geographics of any USPS location, one of their ongoing management problems in USPS today include careless actions from their CCA's. When a seasoned route carrier has a day off they assign a "CCA" (T6) to deliver and they create one error after another. One of their worst examples include delivering Rx packages to wrong number address. Can you spell dyslexia? Can you say millenials? Entitlement children. If and when you complain to management make sure you speak to a certified supervisor and not an acting supervisor (204b). A certified supervisor cannot cover up the complaint just to maintain quality service statistics. The problem will never get resolved. read more

The lines are usually very short at this Post Office. The parking is limited but it is never really busy so you can always get a spot. Priority Mail and stamps are rising so I am sure less people will be utilizing the postal system unless absolutely necessary. read more

The most I can say about this place is that when I have come it has generally not been super busy, at least not in comparison to what I have seen at other post offices. Nonetheless I went in today to mail off my mothers birthday gift and the lady who was very cold and robotic just saw the priority box and printed it out without asking if I wanted additional insurance. Then when I stated I would have liked to add more insurance she just looked at me as though I were inconveniencing her. Would have been nice if she'd shown some customer service skills and said, "oh no, I'm sorry lets go back and fix that". I received one of those orange slips for "Sorry We Missed You" to pick up a certified package from the State of California. It said I could pick up anytime after 9:30 a.m. I go there at a little after 10 a.m. and the door is locked, with one of those clock signs saying they will return at what looks like 12:45, 15 min before they close? WTF? THAT IS NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE! While we're talking about customer service. I get the mail delivered to my home anywhere from literally 9 a.m. to after 5 p.m. I see deliver trucks with other postal deliverers in the neighborhood which consistently deliver their mail in the morning. I have a membership with NETFLIX. Before they moved from Midway to Rancho Bernardo, I received a DVD from NETFLIX every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Now I'm lucky if I receive 2 a week. I'm unable to watch it and get it into the mailbox to get it out the same day like I used to. This is poor service. The USPS is a joke! If Trump needs to overhaul anything, it's the USPS! I called the post office and they told me there is a door as soon as you walk in to the left for pick up only from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. I've only been there M-F during regular business hours and the sign on the locked door doesn't say anything about using this side door, it just states the hours they are open.
