Seriously can't explain the kind of crazy I am dealing with when it comes to the post office. They suddenly were not able to leave packages in our secure mail box "because they didn't have the key". They have been telling us they are going to repair the lock for over a year and a half, but nope, still broken. They actual resolve has been to leave packages curbside, so that homeless, transients and whoever else wants to go shopping at my front porch (two feet from the sidewalk) can take whichever packages suit them. It is incredulous to say the least! Some of the most entitled "workers" I have ever had the displeasure of interacting with. I'm crazy about this place! This place is like Nordstrom of USPS!!! It was clean, staff was smiling and pleasant, they had an extra employee in the lobby helping out customers and had everything fully stocked. I wish this place is cloned up in LA. I've had nothing but bad experiences when ever I go ship something out at any USPS. When I came in to this location and received a wonderful experience/customer service, I came out shocked. I know this might sound over the top but I was on the verge of being emotional about it. It was a very nice and much needed breath of fresh USPS air. :) read more

Usually it gets really busy right before closing so I planned my timing right and went around lunch time which made the wait so much quicker. Its pretty hard to find since its in a really secluded area but you don't have to fight with traffic or parking which a plus. I went there to pack up my shipment of leis and they are always stocked with boxes, bubble wrap and so forth but bring your own tape! most of the time the staff will tape up the box for you. While processing my shipment, the staff member actually saved me money! He offered another type of box at a lower rate to help me save shipping cost. Who does that?! I was really happy that he went out of his way to save me $7 on my shipment with the same arrival time. now that is customer service. read more

I really like this post office. As a resident of 40 years San Diego, I am glad that they built this place. It's convenient, clean and some of the helpers are really friendly. Mario who works behind the counter is great, kind of funny. He makes sure everyone waiting in line gets called upon and if he cannot help he gets someone else to help. He's funny too. Puts a smile on my face. He explains things well. He may speak fast but I like the service. He seems energetic and positive. My postman of so many years is named Craig. I used to have to go to Reo or a very far place on Euclid. This post office has plenty of parking, I have also a post office box. It's clean, reputable and better service than another place. I used to dread going to post offices, but I like this Stephens way location and Mario and the other attendants there behind the counter :-) It's clean too. Sending out direct mail helps too. If you don't want to step down you can easily use the drive car mailboxes. Places like 16th street and Euclid are crowded and terrible parking. Stephens way, good parking, location is nice and it's a clean newer building with pretty trees. People are nice, funny helpful and I love this Post office location. Thanks read more

This is the most awful post office I have ever had to deal with. They never like to leave your package at your door so they always leave you that little slip. I have asked for my packages to be redelivered COUNTLESS times over the phone, online, email even!!! BUT NOPE! 99% of the time they don't even answer their phone and when they do I'm on hold for 30 minutes or they just hang up on me!! Honestly how hard is it to redeliver a fucking package?? Despite the numerous phone calls and visits to this branch that processes our mail, reporting misdirected mail or packages left out unattended, nothing is done to correct the problem. Today is the second time I've had to report the postal delivery person has left our apartment cluster boxes unlocked with the doors open. I am going to call them yet again but know nothing will be done so my next step is to file a complaint with the main office in Washington, DC. The USPS needs to be privatized and I tell the tenants in our apartment complex to use FedEx or UPS rather than the US Postal System which is a big fat failure. read more

THIS POST OFFICE FAKES DELIVERY TIMES! USPS sucks! They mark packages as "Delivered" when they are NOT! These incompetent fools have done this to my packages countless times. I have gone up to the "Stevens Way" location many times to complain, and they always tell me to go online and file a claim, which does absolutely NOTHING! If i'm lucky, packages will turn up weeks later. UPS and FEDEX are way more reliable, I hope that one of them take over all of USPS and puts USPS out of business! read more

They open at 9:30am LAZY! this post office is so hidden it makes it by far the WORST LOCATION to have a posy office! Very upset and disapointed! I work for an online retailer. A package we sent never confirmed as being delivered after being out for delivery from this post office. The post office refused to accept responsibility for it, and they said they did not have the package. read more

Our mail carrier delivers us our neighbors' mail and packages on a regular basis, so we all scurry around the neighborhood redistributing important bills and packages to the right addresses. We have received slips for packages that were NEVER redelivered and then became "lost." I'm on the phone right now for a package that I only ordered because I was assured it would ship UPS. They turned the delivery over to USPS and--surprise--it never came but was marked delivered! Do not order anything through the mail or have friends or family send you things if they use USPS because you WILL NOT receive items, and the mail carrier will not get in any trouble whatsoever. There is no accountability. When you tell them about problems, they don't sound even remotely surprised. If we did our jobs like they did theirs, we would NOT HAVE THOSE JOBS ANYMORE. I wouldn't recommend going here unless you feel it's absolutely necessary. The lines are always long and the clerks are almost never there. But the facility itself is well kept and clean, as well as the surrounding area. read more

I am so sad that I have to write this review. Our carrier has for the past 3 or so months been leaving packages that don't fit in the mailbox just on the side of the street next to the mail box instead of driving up our hill to place them securely on the porch or leaving a note for pick up at the mail center. When I called USPS customer service they were so kind and ensured I would get a call from the branch manager. When the manager called he was rude and very defensive as apparently my carrier has experienced medical issues and cannot drive up my hill or walk up it. I am all for being understanding of the carriers limitations but honestly my neighborhood is full of long driveways and the carrier could have had the care to make sure the package ended up in a secure place. Not! on the side of the street where is could be stolen, like two of my packages have been. Let's get some better attitudes at this location. I want to be proud of my neighborhood USPS! read more

I ordered ducklings. They shipped on Monday as day-old-ducklings and I knew they were supposed to arrive today (Wednesday). Standard (safe) procedure is for the post office to call me (my number was in 3 different places all over the box with instructions to call for pickup upon arrival at the post office) as soon as they arrived at the post office (crack of dawn). They don't open until 9:30 so that is when I showed up thinking they must have forgotten to call. Nope, they put my ducklings on a delivery truck. The man helping me sent me to the supervisor counter. She looked it up and said "We send these on the truck and it is the always the first stop." Then, she went and called the driver. She came back and said "She said she tried to call you but the number didn't work but she's at your house right now." I said "My phone has not rung so that is her fault for dialing it wrong. Can you have her wait please because dogs get loose in my neighborhood all the time." She said "I'll have her wait" and sat down (not near the phone). I rushed home to find my ducklings alone in the shade where it was about 50 degrees (3 day old ducklings need it to be about 90-95). My phone number was printed correctly in every place on the box so the driver either never tried to call or dialed it wrong and didn't check or care. Either way, this is some serious negligence that could have cost the lives of my poor ducklings. This is so wrong!!! read more

Closest post office in the area. It's relatively new and it's secluded from other businesses. I've never had any trouble coming to this location even with the sketchy neighborhood it's surrounded by. Service is a bit slow and lines do get long, but I suppose that's how it is at all post offices. Who knows? read more

Use another location if possible. The lines at this location are long and slow moving. Mario was helpful and cheerful enough when I finally made it to rhe counter but it should take less than 25 minutes to mail a single priority package. read more

New supervisor and new hopes for this post office

Came here to get my money order replaced, Website says 5.95 processing fee for lost money orders. Asked the older mexican gentlemen how much the fee for at the counter and he told me 7.95! So i asked him, how come it says 5.95 on the usps website? He turns to me and says the website incorrect and the fee has changed, so I walked away and he mumbles "dumbass asians" thinking I didnt hear him. So I actually called USPS and they confirmed it was 5.95. I never knew USPS had racist individuals working there. Someone needs to fire this S.O.B read more

Close at 5, don't come here if you need to mail something, and you don't have stamps. No stamp machine to purchase them

It took forever for them to answer the phone. When they did answer the phone, they had an attitude and was very rude. The person I spoke to is named Scott. I called about 10 minutes later, and Scott gave me the information that was needed. He went through it with detail, and provided great customer service afterwards. Overall a miscommunication. These workers are limited on staff, so they can't do everything at once. Great job Scott! read more

I have never written a review before, but this postal office is horrible. I have had many problems with this post office before, but I am finally fed up enough to write a review. My small packages tracking information say they were delivered, however I did not find them in my mailbox. This has happened before, but I had sketchy neighbors and my mailbox did not have a lock so I assumed it was stolen. However, those neighbors have now moved out and I have a lock and key to my mailbox now and yet still no package. I called the office at 9:45 am and was on hold for 15 minutes, I had to hang up, so I called back at noon. First time I called, it sounded like someone answered and then my phone said "Call Ended," even though I did not hang up. I got through the second time and was able to speak to someone, I gave the tracking number and she said my package showed it was delivered, she said she could call the postal man in the area and he can ask around to check if he delivered it elsewhere. The postal man in my area is very grumpy and rude and I doubt she will call and IF she does, I doubt he will ask. This has me very upset as they were purchases for my son's Easter. She said I could file a claim and I attempted to do that, however obviously I did not insure the items and as it is the Thursday before Easter it would not be done in time. read more

I am really upset with my Postal service. I live in South Park, I run a home business. Years ago, I would take my outgoing packages to the local Golden Hill station. I was good with that, I liked going everyday and was friends with the workers there. Then they closed it. So I trooped to North Park. Then they closed that. So I set up a home mailing station, had the package guy pick up my packages everyday and that was great! This worked well for four or so years. Now they only pick up my packages when they feel like it. Actually move them out of the way to deliver the occasional magazine. I can't depend on them. I have a one day handling time.Will have to start using UPS. I will now pay over a grand a year in fees because I don't get my packages out on time. I honestly don't know what the problem is...they have so much less mail to deliver with everything online now. Some days they don't show up at all, I know because the neighbors didn't get their mail either. The rates keep going up and up and there is less and less service. Awful. read more

had a package sent from groupon and online it says it was delivered..... never received it! i call and give my tracking number and am told that they would call the person that delivered it and get back to me..... never did.... i call back today and the very rude worker answers the phone sounding annoyed already (not my problem you dont like your job) i explain the situation and give my tracking number again and am told that the "gps map" they have shows it at my house..... its not here so thats not the truth. i dont think a customer sould e spoken to the way i was and then hung up on to add to it.
