It's a freakin post office. They do what they're supposed to do. Some days the lines can be crazy, but that's all post offices

Long lines now with covid - so I don't go in often, but they are always lovely. They deserve a raise! Jan 21st cannot come soon enough!

I waited in line for 20 minutes only to be told I was in the wrong line... No signs, you just have to know which line is which.

Simon, behind the counter helped me process my application quickly and efficiently, and both employees were both so kind and helpful.

I went to the Santa Ana Post Office at approximately 4:40 p.m., before their posted closing time of…read more5:00 p.m. There were only two employees working at the counter: a man and a woman wearing a red vest. I picked up a form and politely asked the woman if it was the correct form for an international shipment. Instead of responding professionally, she loudly stated, "We don't do them at this time," in a way that everyone in the lobby could hear. She did not apologize or offer any assistance. She then said there were only 10 minutes left until closing, even though it was still before 5:00 p.m. and there were only five people ahead of me in line. A few minutes later, she again announced that they do not process international shipments near closing time, claiming that it takes more than five minutes. She then went to lock the side door and came back to me while I was still waiting in line. She repeated that they would not process my international shipment because they were about to close. I told her that I had already heard her say that multiple times and that I simply needed to pay for the envelope. She continued to insist that I did not need to pay for the envelope instead of addressing my concerns or offering any solution. What was most frustrating was that after 5:00 p.m., several additional customers were still allowed to enter the post office. In fact, as I was leaving, four more people walked in, and there was a line extending out the door. I do not understand why I was refused service for an international shipment when I arrived before closing and other customers were still being allowed into the building. I found the employee's tone and behavior unprofessional, dismissive, and unnecessarily rude. I believe customers who arrive before closing should be treated respectfully and provided with clear, courteous explanations regarding any service limitations.

Meh it's ok. Not as bad as some post offices but not very friendly like others. The lady who helped…read moreme didn't really speak English well (I speak Spanish fluently so it wasn't Spanish she spoke - I think this employee spoke Chinese since my kids take Chinese in school so I recognize some - but her language for sure wasn't fluent English which was unfortunate) Also be warned they have 2 doors to enter the building and they open at 8:30am. So even though I got there at 8:05 am and I was by far the first in line I had the misfortune to stand by the door they opened second (outside door) so I ended up being 7th in line and the people that got there after me at the inside door got in first. The lady employee literally walked by me standing at the door to open the other door! Frustrating! TIP: at least today December 2025 they open the INTERIOR door before the exterior door. Unlike some locations that are appointment only for passports you can do occasional walk ins here but check the days/times first since they are very specific! Also be warned: if you show up after hours and want to drop off mail in the outdoor drive thru mailbox: you CAN'T because they lock the exterior mailboxes (you know the big blue ones) after hours now to prevent mail theft!

My kids and I came in around 3:30 PM and waited our turn like everyone else. While in line, we watched one employee, Monica, dealing with a very loud customer who was saying all kinds of things that clearly frustrated her. I get it -- difficult customers happen. But the problem was how it affected our interaction afterward. When it was our turn, Monica immediately seemed irritated. She asked if I was "sending this to Korea?" and then looked me and my kids up and down in a way that felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. She then proceeded to unwrap my already‑sealed package and tell me I needed to buy USPS "approved" tape -- something I hadn't seen mentioned on the USPS website. Still, I complied, bought the tape, and repackaged everything. We went back in line hoping we'd get the other worker, Michael, who had been smiling and friendly the whole time. No luck -- we got Monica again. As I set the package down, she suddenly asked, "Did you try to hit me with your box?" I was honestly stunned. I explained I only had one hand free and definitely did not hit her. Instead of accepting that, she insisted I "tried" to hit her and refused to help me any further. She then passed my package to Michael, who was polite, helpful, and even gave me tips for shipping to Korea more cost‑effectively in the future. The contrast between the two employees was huge. Michael deserves 5 stars -- friendly, calm, and professional. Monica... not so much. My kids even asked, "Why is that lady so mean?" Everyone has bad days, but customer service is a big part of working at USPS, and interactions like this make a stressful errand even worse.
