I ordered a sizzling shrimp hibachi plate and I didn't really like it so I tried to order something else. When the waiter came, first she said I couldn't get a refund. Secondly, the manager came and look at my plate and I literally took one bite. She told me she couldn't take it back because I poured too much sauce on it. If I'm not going to eat it why does it matter? I guess she was going to reuse the food which is disgusting. How am I suppose to give feedback on a plate if I never tried it. She tried to say I basically came here to just try food. If you think you're not going to like the food don't come here to waste your money because I still didn't get a refund. My fiancé usually go here every few months because they have some of the best food and always spend over $50 for just two people but tonight was the worse service we had ever had there. They were rushing us, and the waiter reminded us they closed at 10PM We sat down at 9PM and she reminded us more than once. She gave us watered down soda but then wanted to charge us for it coming out of the can. They sat us at the smallest table because an employee was eating at a booth. They watched over us the entire time we ate waiting for us to finish or get up it was the worst service ever and you could tell they didn't want us in there after 4 years of only going there we probably will NEVER go back again. It was ridiculous how much they were waiting on us to leave they should have just closed at 9 if they were going to act like that. read more

Never been treated so poorly. We were waiting for the check to be brought to us and the owner was being rude and asked us to leave. She even said it was because they had lots of furniture market people coming in. No wonder they were so rude to us when we first got there and had poor service throughout...they didn't want us there. I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews here. This was the best Japanese food I've ever had. My favorite was the Eastchester roll. I had hibachi steak and shrimp as well. The vegetables and meat were seasoned and cooked perfectly and the fried rice had a really hearty flavor. The service was great too! The only thing I didn't like was that the incredibly cheesy elevator music was too loud. But it wasn't bad enough to impact the overall experience. read more

Would not honor a restaurant. Com coupon that was purchased the day before our visit (the coupon had their address and phone number) . . We left without ordering food, i feel this was horrible customer service and will never return. it is a good thing i asked just after we had ordered our drinks about the coupns, THEY REFUSED TO HONOR THEM. I was told that they honored them at the greensboro location which made no sence, so we paid for our drinks and left. we called the Greensboro location, they also stated they do not honor them. this is horrible customer service to have customers leave after making a special trip to your restaurant.. and the story i was given does not ring true. i would never eat at either location due to this. read more

Simply a disaster. There was something in my onion soup besides onions. I took it up to the counter, waiter couldn't be found, the hostess took the hard piece from me and says that it was onion and walked off. New York strip was tough, scallops rubbery. Food has seriously declined in the past year or so. Sushi is ok, but doesn't taste fresh. Hibachi prices are absurd. $13.95 for chicken, rice, salad, soup, abs veggies? That's without a show. Go some place much nicer for the same price. Not low carb friendly. Subbed extra vegetables for rice and got half a plate of onions. There was a whole onion, cut up, on my plate. Definitely the best and most creative sushi in the Greensboro area. Some favorites are sweet and sour roll, jalapeño roll, spider roll, shrimp tempura roll. Love the combo salad too, seaweed, squid and cucumber. The chefs remember you too and know what you like. Hands down best place for sushi! read more

Can't really knock them for the lady out front asking for money, but you should know that area's kind of seedy. The second time the service was still pretty slow, but this time we had to put up with a screaming toddler behind us for over half of our dinner. At the 20 minute mark of non-stop yelling and crying (nor is that an exaggeration) I asked a waiter to please ask a manager to intervene, but they did nothing, not even an apology. The food was at best ok...I ordered the hibachi chicken to go.. however the service was horrible. I was only picking up a to go order but felt very unwelcome in this establishment. I asked for a salad and received soup... I asked for a water to go since it was scorching outside and I had waited almost 10 min to get checked out and was charged 0.25. Went for lunch today. The person I was with ordered two rolls, and I ordered a roll and soup. A bit later a lady came to the table (she was not the person that took the order), and gave my friend a spicy tuna salad. He told her he did not order that, and the lady proceeded to argue with him and tell him that he did order it and refused to take it back. When the rest of our order came out, one of his rolls was missing so he re-ordered it (he could not eat the salad). He was charged for the salad that he never ordered, and did not eat. The rolls were ok, but after being argued with, and being told what he had ordered by someone that didn't even take the order, it was kind of hard to enjoy the meal. My friend is too nice, and paid for the salad... he should have refused but he did not want to argue with the lady again. read more

We've only ever ordered sushi from here, not cooked dinners. We feel the sushi is the best around! Quick and friendly service, although there is the occasional communication hiccup. Miso soup is good. YUM! The wine glasses are tiny though, for the price. Have two glasses before you leave the house and have someone else drive. read more

We frequent US Sushi at Friendly and enjoy it so we stopped here when we were in the area. I will never eat here again . My child ordered a kids hibachi steak and they brought a tiny plate with hardly any food . There were maybe 5 TINY pieces of steak and maybe 3 tablespoons of cooked rice . For the price it should be enough fill up a child , not a small toddler. (Rice is inexpensive). I ordered Teriyaki chicken and instead got chicken drenched in soy sauce . I have been to this location several times and always seem to have problems with service and food. This past time will be my last visit. It's clear that management does not know how to run an establishment. They are very rude and very greedy! They will argue with you about anything and try to turn their mistakes around and make them your fault. I would not recommend this place to anyone, unless you want to have a horrible experience! If you're order is messed up or not what you expected, don't think you will get a discount of any kind. They would rather have you not come back than offer a discount. There aren't many employees there that speak English, which adds to the horrible experience. Nice decor except for the tacky plastic baskets and flowers. The Habachi Shrimp and Steak was over cooked, the Rice clould not even be eaten, the Bong Bong Shrimp was too big to eat with chop sticks, and the Ninga Roll was bland. The setvice was slow and poor. Would not honor digital coupon that comes with the "attractions" book. When coupon was presented to the register, she proceeded to tell me it was fake and it was not good. After bringing it to her attention that it's from the book we purchased, she still called it fake. Left very upset and will not return. I refuse to give my money to a company that calls their customers a liar. If you don't want to accept the coupon, don't have coupons printed in a book people pay for! I am a regular at US Sushi, the High Point location and Greensboro. The food is phenomenal, but this most recent visit today was far from pleasant. I ordered my regular roll and another different one. I ate my regular roll and tried the second one and it was disgusting and fishy tasting. (Yes it's fish, but it shouldn't taste like fish? If that makes sense) and I told my server I'd like to swap it out and get something different. And the manager comes back with the plate with 6/7 rolls on the plate and said "you didn't like it? How can you not like it if you didn't even try it?" First off, that's poor customer service from the start. What so called "manager" says that to a paying customer? I explained to her that it was extremely fishy tasting and not good and I'd be willing to get something else in place of it. And she told me "that's not how it works here, if you don't like something you still have to pay for it." I'm sorry? Ma'am that's not how running a restaurant works. So she walks off with the plate & I think she's taking it off the bill. I go up to pay, and it's still on my bill. I told her I wasn't paying for something that tasted like fish nor did I even eat. And she ARGUED WITH ME? Poor customer service at its finest. I won't be back at the Eastchester location. Seems like the Greensboro location is the only one who has good customer service and actually cares about their customers. You just lost a regular US Sushi! My son and I had dinner there last night, 5pm on a Sunday and the place we DEAD. We thought it was close as they were vacuuming when we walked in... and they just kept on vacuuming after we were seated. We felt like we were intruding on a cleaning day. We couldn't talk over the vacuuming so we just sat staring at each other until it stopped. The waitress seemed new, when we ordered edamame she wasn't even sure it was served... and it is on the menu! We asked for a pot of hot tea and received one mug of tea... how she thought we were going to share it I don't know... I did get a glass of water after asking several times. The service was very slow, when the food finally came my Udon soup was hot and good, but the Tempura shrimp & veggies were so greasy they were not edible!! Upon inspection my son's hibachi salmon was actually teriyaki salmon and it had a BLACK HAIR on it!! Not laying on the food mind you, but actually under the teriyaki sauce on the food. Nothing turns my stomach like mishandled food... When the server finally came back and we told her the order was wrong AND had hair on it, she looked at it, but then left the plate on the table and went to go get a manager, and 10 minutes later he came and offered us $2 off the meal... thinking he was going to eat around the hair. NOT!! We asked he take the plate away which they did, but never brought the correct food and after 10 more minutes we left. The entire event took over an hour and a half and the bill was over $40 for edamame, Udon soup, and a teriyaki / gross salmon dinner plate, a cup of tea and water. WOW. I wanted to leave without paying, but my son didn't want to make a scene... so we just paid and left. Poor customer service, bad food experience and terribly SLOW service. I made arrangements for my siblings along with our spouses to meet for lunch-bad mistake. 1st -3 of us ordered hibachi chicken and we were served teriyaki chicken which we sent back. When our order came back out there is NO DOUBT in our minds that they recooked the same chicken -but denied it -besides the teriyaki/ hibachi chicken the rest of the food on the bento boxes were ice cold. My sister n law's order was wrong, my husband ordered the red snapper bento box and ordered a sauce to go with it - after asking for the sauce 4 times -even getting up and going to ask the waitress - his food was ice cold and the rest of the table had already finished eating, he asked for his $ back and they offered him 10% off -what a joke that would have amounted to approx. 75cents then they offered to remake his food but because he had taken a bite off his fish they came back and said they couldn't remake it and offered 15% off on top of that they had already thrown his other food away. REALLY....NO KIDDING!!! Oh and did I mention no one at the table received a refill on their drink. The ladies at the table beside us were so frustrated with their food they just got up and left. When we left we informed that we would NEVER go back but paid the bill because we didn't want to cause a scene. The waitresses were throwing each under the bus about who my husband spoke to when he asked four times for sauce and even tried to blame a waitress that didn't even wait in us. I felt bad that I had arranged the family luncheon. Funny thing is when I told my boss where I was going for lunch she told me that she didn't go there anymore because the service wasn't good anymore and that their personnel turnover seemed to be high. I wish I would have listened. Lesson learned -oh and by the way my husband ended up having to go somewhere to get lunch so we paid for his lunch twice today. read more

Met friends for lunch and we were served our salads and discovered a crawling bug in one of them. The waitress looked very unconcerned when we asked for management. The manager informed us that the kitchen doors were open.....Disgusting....and brought a new salad and offered no compensation or sorrow for our experience. Wow, I love this place. The sushi here is GREAT-- not anything you would expect out of a place like this. The service is top notch, they will keep your drink filled to the brim and aren't too pushy. I come to this place once every month because of how good it is, it just keeps you coming back for more. And if you're not here for the sushi the other choices are just as good. read more
