I recently visited for a nail repair service. I requested that Linda add powder to one of my toenails, but I felt my request was initially overlooked. When I repeated my request, Linda seemed upset and began speaking in her native language. Although she eventually added the powder, I wasn't satisfied with the shaping and filing of my nail. Specifically, the nail was left too wide, and my request was to file it more and she didn't do it instead she just cut a piece with a nail clipper thinking that will help. I left very upset having to go home and filing it myself. As a paying customer, I expect a certain level of service and attention to my requests. I've had my nails done by almost every tech at this establishment. Three gentlemen, and three ladies with the exception of two ladies. There's only one tech that I really like and can manage to do full sets and fills that don't lift. She's on maternity leave. Not sure if she's coming back. I believe nail lifting on customers is a regular thing because they have a specific tech assigned for "fixes" which entails primarily gluing the lifting nail down with nail glue, which of course only lasts a day or two then lifts again or comes off completely. Then you have to go back again before they totally replace the nail. They are skilled with the actual nail designs, I can pick anything on instagram and they're able to duplicate it. The major problem is the lifting literally 2-3 days after the fill or set. Also I've even had the polish peel off once. It's kind of infuriating when you're paying $70-$80 or more for nails and they lift, don't even last a week. I also had a pedicure that ruined my big toenail. She was digging way too much to the point I felt my nail rip from my skin on the inside of my big toenail and it hasn't been the same since. I had another pedicure with a different tech the next time and customer service was lacking. I told her not to touch that area and she kept insisting she had to so I won't get an ingrown nail. If I were to have an I grown nail it would be the previous techs fault, I've never had one in my life. She was very persistent to the point I thought she was going to do it anyway despite my refusal. I stuck to my guns, it was my pain not hers. Needless to say she had an attitude after that. Honestly, I haven't gotten a pedicure since, the combination of both was low key trauma. Speaking of ripping, they don't soak the nails off sometimes, they use a nail tip to get under the nail to rip off your acrylics. I definitely believe the reviewer who said they broke her nail and she was bleeding. Two stars for their skill at the designs and the one tech I found that knew what she was doing as far as the nails not lifting. Other than that I would give a 0 if I could. Get your nails done anywhere BUT here. The acrylic is poorly applied. I paid for GEL acrylic nails and the polish started to PEEL the next day. This place is way overpriced for very low quality service. They also made my finger bleed with the nail drill. THEN, I got fungus on my fingernail two weeks after getting my nails done and the best they could offer me was 10% the next time. They blamed me for that and said it was because "water got under my nail". I've NEVER had that issue elsewhere. Colorful Nails across the street is way better than this place. read more

It's unfortunate the ladies are nice and the location is so convenient for me but this really is my last time going. They progressively get worse with the over all service and price. I get they're a for money business but if you want long term clients and new clients you need to maintain quality and service. They're always rushing my pedicures and always injuring me. They have cut my cuticles and today the lady servicing me cut me with the nail clippers on the side of toe. I have an acrylic overlay and cracked my toenail by hitting it and she kept the old acrylic on there, I always get French tip so you can clearly see the old acrylic and the crack through the clear polish. 100% not worth the $71!!!! I'm actually sad I thought I had actually found my salon after doing my own nails for years. Red set was Gel X, some nails had glue gaps and thick over $100. Went for a film and instead of gel they used acrylic powder, again very thick but short on time. I soaked off the white French tip last night, what doesn't take long ended up taking hours due to the soak off becoming sticky. Multiple soak offs and drilling were required to remove MMA powder! Fill $ and $15 for curved French tip design. I thought salons had stopped using that. This has happened once here and once at Bella Nails. My nails ended up thin and super brittle once I was done. :( read more

Came here on 2/17, the day before my 21st birthday because I wanted to get my nails done. I have booked with this specific nail artist before, and every single time without fail she does an amazing job. ended up totaling to about $400 because I got my toes done too. I noticed that not even a week after I got them done, the gems started falling off. When I contacted the nail artist who did my nails, she told me she was sorry for the inconvenience, and that I still had to drive all the way back to Oxnard for her to just glue them back on. Today it is 2/27 and my nail BROKE off. In the years that I have been going to this specific nail artist, this has never happened to me. Usually the set will last about a month maybe a month and a half. But this time, I'm trying to understand what has changed? When I called the salon to ask what they were going to do About it, I was told someone was gonna call me back, but they never did. I've been here about 4 times and I was waiting to make this review since to be honest the service depends on each individual nail tech. I've done gel pedicures, gel manicures and also full sets all with different techs without any major issues. I usually call a couple days ahead of time to see if I can make and appointment and as soon as I go into the nail salon they take me in without wait which is great, never waited more than 5 minutes to be seen. All nail techs are meticulous and can do work on specific designs and if you have anything in mind. It is always pretty busy on weekend mornings but still no much wait since it seems they have a descent amount of staff working. read more

I went to do my eyebrows just for a clean up. I don't like my eyebrow thin, I told the lady that was about to do my eyebrow I don't want them thin I just want a clean up she agreed and as soon as we were finished she was already complimenting them saying "oh their so nice I did a good job they came out good" and gave me the mirror to look at them and they were so thin!!!! I really wanted to love this place, but so far am having a hard time doing so. The three pedicures I've had have been good; I'll leave those at that. This review is for the acrylic fills with gel polish. Let's start off by saying, since I moved here from LA many years ago, I've never been able to find a shop or technician who's consistent in their service. You get a good fill one time and the next time you're left thinking, "I've had way better fills than this." I miss the days of having a regular nail tech who was friendly and got the job done perfectly every single time. My first visit with this salon my nail tech was Amy (sp?) and she'd really given me the BEST fill I had in years. Apparently though, this gal is in some sort of management role, so she doesn't do nails all the time. The last two times I've been - which likely will really be my last two times going there, given my experiences you'll be reading about here - sadly paled in comparison to Amy's capabilities. I had a different gentleman each time - I won't name names, because apparently Yelp lets you sing the praises of specific folks, but the moment you start bagging on anyone specifically, they'll say bubye to your review; suffice it to say, you'll have to figure out which gentlemen they were yourself. So for gentleman #1, I ended up with some interestingly shaped - read crooked - nails, which started lifting within 2.5-3 weeks of being done; Amy's fill still looked frickin' fantastic at 6 weeks! Gentleman #2, was a real piece of work! I use the term gentleman loosely, because it amazed me they'd have someone this cocky and rude employed there; I've overheard him in the past comment about how he hates people. Um, sir, maybe you'd be better suited working by yourself in a closet somewhere. When he sat down, I told him I was pretty disappointed that my nails had started lifting and he said in a serious tone, "Well, shit happens." Huh? Later, when I asked him how long he'd been doing nails, he said in his snarky tone of voice, "Oh, about 10 minutes or so." Rest assured, this young man spoke perfect English and knew exactly what I was saying each time I spoke. And his fill? S-l-o-p-p-y at best, so gee, maybe he really had only been doing nails for 10 minutes or so (wink, wink). Thick acrylic with sharp corners, that I ended up having to file myself, to ensure I didn't cut myself, or someone else with them, and the sloppiest gel application I'd ever experienced! I was there on Saturday; today is Monday, and I'm still peeling gel off the skin around my nails. Take a look at the giant piece of gel hanging off my pinkie nail in the photos. I'm guessing his sloppiness is attributed to the fact that he could give a damn about what my nails looked like; he's only interested in the types of nails appearing in his Instagram feed, which he tells you to follow via a typed message on one side of his table, while he tackily tells you NOT to touch the green frog on the other side of the table. Three stars for this place, because if Amy can do your nails, snap her up, and the pedicures have all been good, while the folks doing those have also been very nice! Ever since they remodeled the quality went down. Customer service is terrible. They blame you for the nail techs not doing their job. I just highly recommend you support somewhere else and not waste your money or time at USA nails. I was going there for a couple months, loved it, and the last 3 times have been TERRIBLE!!! I had very high hopes with this salon everyone recommended me this place to only get nails that were half done & look nothing like the picture I showed her. I got there at 10:15 & left the salon at 12:30. 2 hours to get nails that are missing polish on the side and still having to pay FULL price is very unfair. My nail tech for manicures is great but the pedicures are not. I paid close to $100 for a gel pedicure. The lady painted part of my cuticles on my toes, so I had to go back. And the lady who "fixed" it wasn't much better. Burnt my skin with the drill, and when I said ow she said "oh it tickles?" And after the second time I said "no you're hurting and burning my skin". Didn't apologize, then she continued to go into her used soiled tool compartment to pull out tools to fix my toes. They couldn't color match the two toes needed to match it, so they just painted over all of the painted toes instead of re-doing it causing them to be thick, plastic like and peel early. Rude as hell here or polite. The staff is nothing in between. I came in for a gel mani and pedi. Wait time wasn't too bad and they weren't too busy. Location is very clean looking and plenty of seating. The woman did my mani had me sit at her table. I told her what I wanted and she rolled her eyes at me, signed and put gel polish on only. No cuticle trims and only a little filing. She was very rough too when filing. Didn't talk much at all and seemed annoyed when I mentioned I wanted a full mani not just color. Didn't even wipe down my nails after she finished with alcohol so they'd fully set. I had to get my pedi tech to do that. Then when I went to do my pedi I had a different woman was very polite and nice. She apologized for the last tech. She said she saw what happened and even though I didn't say anything the pedi tech mentioned the woman who did my hands hates anything that's not acrylic since my type of appointment isn't her typical customer. I waited 6 minutes shy of one hour unattended in chair 5 with no water in the tub and ZERO customer service. If a worker was to greet me in passing or offered to fill the tub or better yet to apologize for the wait, I might have stayed. It wasn't until I was putting my shoes back on that the worker next to me in Vietnamese told the other worker "that one is leaving" and then immediately the younger worker approached me to ask if I was leaving. I was reading all the reviews on this salon. I live nearby and thought I'd give it a try. It should not be this difficult for a customer to try and book an appointment for a pedicure and acrylic nails. I was told to message over IG specific techs that I had asked for. The tech's themselves were present. When I inquired for their availability, they said they did not know?! I left not booking either of the services I had in mind. It boggles my mind how a business in the business of making money would loose a customer that quickly. Paid $82 for acrylic set and manicure for my little sister. They wanted to charge 21$ because she looks older than her actual age(she's only 7). The kids manicure is $15 for kids under 9. Her nails came out good(manicures are always easy!) so no complaints there. My nails turned out okay. The quality is low for what you pay. Ive come here many times and am always eh about them but today i was a little upset leaving here. I got a dip manicure, once she finished the dip she immediately put a top coat on and implied she was done. Didn't file, didn't sand them down. They were clumpy. I asked her if she was going to sand them down and she just sighed like she was annoyed and sanded off the top coat. I asked for rounded nails. I said it at least 4 times. I was so over it. I had asked her to fix so many things to the point where I just stopped asking. My nails are SQUARE. They are sharp at the corners. I had ROUNDED nails with dip on before I went in and my natural nails were LONG. she cut them so short and squared them off. :( the opposite of what I asked for. I gave 2 stars because I love the color and IF this was what I had asked for they look good, but it's just not what I asked for at all. :( probably will not go back after this. Honestly, I really like coming here. I have been to so many nails shops in Oxnard, and this is the only place where my gel manicure and gel pedicure actually last so I am sure they use good product. They can get pretty busy which is the only downfall but they do their best to accommodate you in a timely manner.
