My go-to Post Office when I don't particularly feel like whiling away time standing in line to ship out that Ebay sale. I frequent the USPS Roselle branch on a regular basis - several times a week, to be exact and 9 times out of 10, I don't have to wait in line. Service is quick, efficient, and hassle-free. I mean, you still have to deal with grumpy postal workers - that's pretty much universal wherever you go (but particularly so with the Schaumburg branch) - but to their credit, they are slightly less disgruntled than most other locations. Parking is plentiful, and there is a drop box for driver-throughs. read more

The usps use to be good now there are many different people delivering the mail. Please keep the lazy people out of the roselle area. On Saturday may 4th I had gotten a notification saying they couldn't deliver the mail because the mailbox was blocked which is bs. If this keeps up then I will be posting videos of usps just driving by we have cameras just letting you know. read more

The Roselle Post Office is the absolute worse post office I have ever used. The people are slow and lazy. No wonder I go to Itasca or Bloomingdale. The delivery people are pretty awful too. read more

I didn't realize Roselle HAD a post office until I drove through a mix of residential and commerical/industrial buildings on Central. That said, once I found out where the post office was, I was pretty excited. It's not far from home and it's in such a weird, obscure location that there probably wouldn't be too many people there. I had one little piece of mail to deliver to someone this afternoon so I stopped in the post office after work. It was 3:30pm on a weekday, and the week before Christmas. A line was expected. What was not expected was only one person working behind the counter. Argh. However, the line wasn't terribly long and I only waited about fifteen minutes. Maybe it was five and felt like fifteen. Or maybe it was longer. I honestly don't know, but I had run out of things to look at on my phone while waiting so it was a few long minutes of just standing. And waiting. But then again, that's what post offices are for: waiting. Once I got up to the counter, my entire exchange was less than a minute with a pleasant employee. Whee! The building itself is pretty spacious inside with every section clearly labeled and people in different places. There was no copier in the copier section though, which was kind of odd and disappointing. And I don't know if people just can't park or what, but the parking lot aisles seemed kind of narrow and I had to wait for three other people to pull out of their spots before I could even leave. At least I didn't encounter any grumpy people! read more

This place is so much better than Schaumburg Post Office. When it's not busy, the service is quick while you will always find long line at Schaumburg and you do not have to deal with the impatient cashiers' attitude. Con: Avoid going around holidays because the line is like a mile long and only one cashier at Roselle. Or, at least bring a book to read. read more

Meh it's a post office. I think most of these reviews are based off "feelings" rather than understanding what the employees deal with here everyday. I sent a regularly vanilla envelope filling with about 2 yards of material. Not big at all. I did not want to wait in line so I went to the machineAnd the machine told me it was 3.40 but I say the line was gone so I just finished up in line. when I went up to the counter it was 6.40. She said well this is not called a large envelope. It's called a pancakes. But when I did the machine and follow the instructions it was package in a large envelope and only charged me 3.40. Everyone likes to dump on the Post Office, but a lot of the issues people complain about are frequently caused by other customers, not the postal employees. Customers with insufficient postage; missing, incomplete or incorrectly filled out forms; or improperly packaged items. I've even seen customers show up with lose items that they expect the agent at the counter to box up for them with free packing materials and tape. No, you can't ship a package parcel post or first class in a priority mail flat rate box! No, you can't just re-use an old box marked with hazardous materials warnings and liquid seeping through and expect there to not be a problem! No, you can't just collect held mail without a photo ID or some other proof that it's actually YOUR MAIL! The only time I've ever had a problem with this post office is when they leave the parcel drop next to the automated postage machine locked. Otherwise, the folks that work here have always been prompt, helpful, and polite to me. Long lines have never been caused by the employees, but by other customers who are creating an issue by being unreasonable, ill-prepared, or irresponsible. The folks here even went out of there way to help me on one occasion when I had an on-line sale where the buyer supplied me with an incorrect suite number on his mailing address. The buyer sent me an email with the corrected address shortly after I dropped off the package. I called the post office and explained to them what happened. I described my package to them, and by the time I drove back over there (only about 5 minutes later) they had already found my package and had it set aside for me to correct the address label. Before you go off on a rant on the post office, take a look and listen around you and see if the long wait isn't actually being caused by the customers ahead of you being nobs rather than the postal employees trying to do their jobs. read more

Roselle's post office is infinitely better than Schaumburg's. It is worth it to go slightly out of my way if it means I get such superior service. I have never had a bad experience at this location. The staff gets you in and out with no hassle and no attitude like in the Schaumburg location. Last week, I mailed 5 packages that were about 35 pounds each with absolutely no trouble! As a Schaumburg resident, I can't comment on the quality of the mail route drivers, but this location definitely gets an A+ for customer service and efficiency when you need to ship a package. read more

Post offices get a bad rap, you know? I've lived in Roselle for several years now, so I've used this post office a lot. While it's true that I do use the APC machine when I can, there are still plenty of reasons to actually talk to a person here. I've never, ever had a bad experience here. Ever. Every employee I've ever dealt with has been nothing but polite and helpful, and some have even been downright nice. I ended up convincing one employee to come visit the restaurant where I used to work with his daughter, because it turned out that she loved our type of food! I know that your mileage will definitely vary by post office, time of day, employee, and etc. Sometimes you're having an off day. Sometimes a postal employee is. But at the end, we're all people, and the Roselle Post Office is proof that we can, indeed, all just get along. read more

Are these the same type of people who don't stop at stop signs, signal before they turn, spend their time staring at their cell phone missing what life is really all about or the kind who are in a BIG HURRY because they might be late for their nail appointment/tee time/video game? You know, the ones who think the world revolves around them? I have never had a problem in here. The employees are very nice, very friendly and they know their regulars and there is nothing wrong with spending a minute catching up. If human nature bothers you that much, then get your stamps on-line, print out whichever form you need, weigh your own packages and drop off at a drop box. I have been living in the Springhill Apartments for about a year and have NEVER had a package delivered from the USPS. Tracking always says the the delivery failed and a notice was left ( a notice is never left) due to no secure location. Yesterday I had a package scheduled to be delivered 3:15 and I was home at that time and since my apartment is by the front entry way I could see when they showed up. At 3:19 I got an alert that the delivery failed for the reason above. No one even attempted the delivery and of course no notice. They simply don't bother to try and deliver packages here. As for no secure location that's not true. There's a front entrance way where all packages from UPS, FEDEX and Amazon are left without any problems. There are also cameras. Now I'm off to the post office once again to pick up my package. If at all possible, avoid having your package delivered by the lazy Roselle post office unless you like going there and standing in line to pick it up. read more

The facility might be spacious but the delivery service is a joke - our "regular" route driver is too busy racing through commercial centers while on his phone to bother to see businessmen standing on the sidewalk waving for their mail. Mail service on the south-side of Roselle is down to one day a week at best - we're far better off down here on days when we get a substitute carrier - at least that way we'll get some mail - and don't bother complaining about the service, the union has a stranglehold on everything going on down there....including complaints coming from the top. read more

I called this post office to inquire about general delivery because I need to be sent an important package by someone i would not like to have my address due to safety issues. The call was answered by Harry, to which I later found out that he was the top supervisor after asking to speak to a supervisor about my experience. Harry gave me extremely rude service! When I asked about general delivery he rudely responded with "why don't you want them to know your address?" He did so in a manner almost accusing me of doing something wrong. I explained that it was due to the fact that the package was coming from an ex and he shouldn't know my current address. He helped me in no way and treated me poorly. When I visited the same office, I talked to a nice man at the desk who gave me instructions on how to go about general delivery with no problem but that it had to be sent to Schaumburg P.O. I am usually the first person to call and give positive recognition to those deserving. But this was beyond terrible service! To Harry... I will be speaking with the Postmaster early next week about your lack of manners and rudeness! I have spoken with the Postmaster who has informed me that general delivery is available at all post offices and that he will be having a talk with all persons involved both at Roselle P.O. and Schaumburg P.O. read more

I live in Schaumburg, which has 2 post offices but I ALWAYS go to the Roselle post office because they are the most competant location I've had to deal with, The counter people at this location are always nice and down to earth, not snippy like the Schaumburg location. If you want you package dealt with and shipped on to the sorting station go here! Schaumburg lets packages wait sometime a day or 2 before scanning in. read more
