Loved our food here The red pepper soup was the best I've had, wish I could have the recipe! The vegetarian wrap was fresh and good, glad one of the options was the soup, because I was ready to pay for it separately! The burger was very good, per our resident burger conniseur. I would have bought a quart of the soup, but they don't sell it that way. We were disappointed they didn't replace a beer we didn't care for, a house brew, but the place was clean and the food fresh, and would be a great place to watch sports and hang out with friends! read more

Go for the beer not for the food. I've been to Utog about 6 or 7 times now. Each time I have tried something different. Tuna crostini was soggy and seemed like it was made the previous day. Ploughman's board inexplicably comes with fried pickles instead of bread or crackers Chicken wings are okay. Fried mac m cheese balls are pretty good...but they're fried mac n cheese balls. I ordered a wedge salad once...it was fine but my side order of buffalo potato balls were inedible. Today for lunch ordered a blackened salmon salad for lunch. It came without dressing. I had to ask for it on the side. The salmon was soooooo overcooked and dry. But my Citra Pale Ale was divine. I so want the food here to be better than it is but every time I eat here I wish I had gone somewhere else. From now on I'll hit up the beer store and get food somewhere else. read more

Spent a couple of nights in O-town as it was closer to the kids bike races. We made the short elwalk from the hotel to the UTOG for some brews to enjoy around the fire pit. Glad we did. They have a great selection and a cool vibe. Would like to enjoy the patio while a game is being played. Maybe next time. If your in town and want some good local brews give 'em a whirl. read more

I stopped at Utog while on business in Ogden recently and had a fantastic experience. While the beers and food were certainly delicious (I highly recommend the salmon sandwich, sour beer, and Scottish ale), it was the service that I received from Cade that made the visit so memorable. When I mentioned being a craft beer fan, Cade sat with me at my table and told me all about the history of the brewery, the brewing process, local liquor laws, and anything else that I wanted to know. All of the while, he was attentive to his other tables, making sure that they were taken care of before returning to continue our conversation. Just what we needed! Excellent beer mixed with a eclectic, well priced high quality food. I find most places do one thing well and the other ok. Here, both beer and food rock! The Session IPA hit the spot with the Honey Stung Wings. I have a life long fascination with Brussels Spouts and these are spot on. We ate two orders. It was ok! We sat at the bar, i felt terrible for the servers and bartenders they were swamped and understaffed. I ordered the philly and what came out resembled a sloppy joe type thing, like it was ground beef which in turn made the bread extremely soggy. Was not at all what I had in mind haha. Probably the best food I've had in a long time! We tried the Rueben Balls as an appetizer and my hubby loved them and raves about them. He had hybrid UTOG burger and said it was very flavorful and definitely better then most the surrounding options. The beer-battered fries were great and the fry sauce had a yummy kick to it! We aren't drinkers but appreciated they offered both Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi (win win)!! I chose the Butcher Block meal/surf & turf special and holy cow it was lick your plate yummy!! It was steak with shrimp, puréed cauliflower and roasted cauliflower medley and it was so unbelievably tasty! I will be dreaming about this meal for a long time!!!! Cool place, good beer. Food used to be excellent. Come here often and have noticed the quality going down hill for the last few months. They have changed the menu. Used to have the best ribs around. Ordered the typical rib selection and they came out cold, and with the wrong sauce. They made it right by bringing out warm ribs(wrong sauce), however dry and chewy. I'll give it some time and try again. Really like the ambiance. read more

UTOG is an impressive place for Northern Utah. I enjoyed an IPA on tap. The wife liked her UTOG Moscow Mule enough to order two of them. My father in law tested a German beer. We started with the Reuben bites appetizer. They were pretty good. Wife had a grilled cheese. Son ate a burger. Father in law and I had the philly on the waiter's recommendation. Everyone who got French fries loved them. I had the salad. We all agreed we would eat at UTOG again if given the opportunity. The food was decent. read more

We had the blackened salmon salad, the wings and the Cajun fries. The wings and fries were sooo good, my husband said they were some of the best wings he's had! We tried both heffs and the Pilsner which were all delicious. Star off only because the salmon was pretty dry and over cooked and they didn't dress the salad which I thought was odd. Our server was awesome, I can't seem to remember her name but she just got the cutest tattoo on her collar bone. Very good hipster vibe. Beer prices are fair and reasonable. Good selection is limited but the options they had all seemed good. I personally went with the Buffalo Mac and cheese bites and fish and chips. Both were phenomenal. For drinks i ordered a flight! 8 dollars for four 5 ounce beers. I tried the peach hefe, coffee lager, American, and the JP. I enjoyed all of them very much. read more

My wife and I go here about once a month. It's usually pretty busy so we sit at the bar. Service is always professional and courteous. Food is amazing. I always get a burger and it goes without saying, I love them. I would recommend this place to anyone. I don't drink (anymore) but my wife loves their selection of craft beers. This a a must once a month for me. My go to is the Utog burger, but I have yet to hate anything I've tried there. I like being able to take home some local brews from the beer store after loving them during the meal. Staff is attentive, genuine, and kind. Love the industrial feel, bathroom is always so clean (as is the rest of the restaurant). read more

Blackened Fresh Atlantic Salmon, Grilled Asparagus, Iceberg Lettuce, Mixed Greens, pickled Red onion, and Tomatoes. Served with Citrus Vinaigrette. The salmon was fresh, the greens were fresh, the dressing was the perfect compliment to the dish. I ate half of it before the picture, but the portion size was great.
