This is the cutest cafe and the perfect place to come for brunch. It is decorated so nicely and has such nice vibes. The restaurant gets pretty busy especially in the morning on weekends so it can be difficult to find seating. The food is scrumptious, however the service could be improved a little. Although the workers are nice, they are a bit disorganized when bringing the food to you and there is a bit of a wait. To be fair, we were there during a very busy time! Everything on the menu is delicious, making the experience worth it. The breakfast plates are so cute and everything tastes good. I highly recommend the sandwiches, especially the BLT! read more

The food is so so, I went there last week and i ordered potato borek and omg it was sooo old and smelly so i had to return it, the front cashier lady was not nice and did not have a good customer service. The ambiance is nice but our table was not clean at all. They have an orange juice machine there, but if you want orange juice, they have it ready, but if you ask them to make you a fresh orange juice, they do not do that so let me just put it this way that orange juice machine is so fake and they do not give you fresh orange juice. It is fake and it has a lot of coloring in it. Just make sure you know what you're putting in your body . read more

I haven't even gotten my food yet and already 5 stars. The vibe is better than you could dream of for a coffee shop. If they let me work on my laptop here I'm buying breakfast, lunch and some delicious pastries to take home. Super cute Turkish tea sets and more to buy. Been here a few times now and out of the 10 times maybe a couple times was a miss but usually super tasty and great service from Shivam. He was super professional and fast with his service. Our experience here was a little strange. They're probably understaffed but there might be some bit of people not doing their jobs well. For example the self serve water was out. They finally refilled it, but not the cups... Also the guy taking our order at the counter literally left midway through it to go on his break?! Extremely strange and unprofessional. Fortunately Zach noticed it and made it all better. I think he's the manager but it's clear that he was looking out for where people needed to be and what they needed to be doing. Without him, this review would probably be different... Another thing is the line got really long after we came. We walked right up to the counter before 1 pm on a Sunday but by the time we got our food, the line was out the door. For good reason though. The food was delicious and unique! I can't speak to the merit of its authenticity, but we sure enjoyed it. The yogurt sauce with the manti made the pasta feel refreshing, which is uncommon. And the soujak kashar sandwich is perfect if you like sausage and cheese. Overall, I think they have a but to button up but it's very promising. read more

Disorganized chaos. We got our order taken and asked for our receipt but never got one. They forgot to give us an order number stick so they gave us a random number #26 so we could grab a table. We ordered brunch for 4 and got all our food but there was a hair in the pancake syrup, not even something you can brush off. We ordered 2 coffees with our order and never got them. We told 2 servers while we were eating that we had drinks that never came out, but they said there was no coffee on the order. I couldn't give them a receipt to look at because they didn't give me one when I requested for it. I had to go inside and ask for management to look into this because after the 3rd server I talked to no one was able to look up my order. The cashier that took my order repeated the items back to me and I confirmed. I worked in the restaurant industry for 5+ years, I ALWAYS list and confirm my order to my servers. However when I asked the cashier where my drinks were he said he didn't remember ringing up coffee. Finally they decided to just make my drinks. Ice chai latte didn't have ice, the cup was lukewarm. I didn't get an apology for the delay, the miscommunication or anything. Just gave me my drinks and left it at that. Customer service was actually horrific. read more

I loved how it felt like you were transported into a Mediterranean cafe the moment you walk in. The staff here are absolutely fantastic and helpful throughout the ordering process. You order at the front and they bring out your meal to you. I got the Manti Pasta because the description sound super tasty. It's essentially a tomato sauce and greek yogurt dumpling pasta. So good! My friends and I came here on Saturday around 12:00. It was about a 10 minute line, and 10/15 minutes for food to be served. My friends got the these dishes and this is their ratings. 2.5 Caucho peppe pasta (she really liked the bread that came with it) 4.5 sujok panini 4.5 utopian latte (very pretty and tastes good) I got the chicken pesto panini, and it was very good. The chicken wasn't too dry. I personally didn't like the cucumbers in the sandwich but I ate it separately. 4/5. I loved their potato wedges 5/5. I liked their ice chai latte too 4/5 We wanted to try their cakes, but we were too full however it looked really good. The indoor and outdoor seating is very nice. But not a lot of seating options indoor. The bathroom situation is very annoying because it's only one stall and there was a long wait throughout our lunch time there. Parking: Easy at the District! Experience: It was my first time coming here for brunch and it was very busy on a weekend morning! I love that they have a huge international-inspired menu and that they serve breakfast all day! You order at the counter, get a number, and then sit down and they will deliver your food to your table. There was mostly outdoor seating. I got the Mediterranean breakfast that had 2 eggs, caprese salad, sausage, 3 little blocks of cheese, olives, honey, jam, and toast. It came out on this huge platter and everything was good! Located in The District mall in Tustin, ample parking on both sides of the large complex, although can get crazy at peak hours. Nice outdoor patio dining and able to bring your dog! Order at the counter and take a number and your meal gets brought out to you. We enjoyed their Florentine omelette (cheese and spinach filled, with a side of their sausage) and their Santa Ana Omelette (sausage with pico de gallo and avocado) which were both good. Their portion sizes were great and filling. We also got their Nutella French toast which was fine, exactly what you would expect. They had their Utopia coffee (their often instagrammed coffee) but honestly thought it was a bit too floral for my personal taste. Overall, food was just okay, but ambiance and some unique food options (Breakfast platters, interesting drinks and pastries) I give it additional props. read more

Get ready for a long review because this place lives up to its name! Came on a Sunday afternoon and it was already crowded. Unfortunately, they don't do reservations and seating is limited due to the small space. Luckily, we grabbed this spot right in front of the callbox! Waiting for our food took awhile but it was understandable as they seemed short-staffed. My friend ordered the French breakfast and white hot chocolate while I ordered the avocado toast and Utopian latte. Given the cost, the portions were on the larger side (bless). The toast was delicious and their potatoes SCRUMPTIOUS. Sooo crunchy, couldn't stop eating!!! The utopian latte was also tasty but definitely on the sweeter side! My friend also savored her meal. She has a small appetite but this day, she ate everything! That's how much she liked it ~ She thought the croissant was *chef's kiss* and was glad she ordered the dish. I've been here several times and I'm never disappointed but sometimes I'm surprised. I didn't realize that they had several options for pasta. Their Pesto was great but their Cacio E Pepe is my favorite dish. The aglio olio dishes are difficult to find even at most popular Italian style restaurants. I usually have to make my own but not anymore. I don't believe in coincidence because it isn't kosher! I'm a connoisseur for a certain type of espresso, similar to the ones I tasted in the artsy cafes in Samcheong-dong, Seoul. Coffee Code was the only cafe that satisfied me and it was my favorite for years. But Utopia tops it and that's saying a lot. Their lattes are as good if not better than the ones at what used to be my favorite cafe. read more

I love Utopia Caffe but I'm just a little disappointed with my overall experience this time. I asked and confirmed with the cashier about whether it would be possible to make an iced utopia latte with 3 distinct coffee/milk/whipped cream layers. I showed a photo to the cashier and the coffee barista, and both agreed that it would be possible; they called it the upgraded version or the upside down version. Unfortunately, not only the drink didn't look like the "upgraded or upside down" version but it was also served in a to go cup. The cashier actually confirmed with me whether the drink was for here or to go (at ordering), and I told her explicitly it was going to be for here. The photo I showed them was also an Iced Utopia Latte served in a glass cup. (Note: the photo was pulled from Utopia Caffe's Yelp page) Overall, the flavor of the drink did not disappoint. However I would've ordered something else if I knew at the time of ordering that (1) they were out of glass cup and/or (2) that they wouldn't be able to make an upside down version. I understand that they could be really busy during weekend brunch hours, and it could be difficult (and almost impossible) to accommodate all special requests. I'm totally fine if they told me straight up that it would be difficult/impossible to do so at this moment. I only wish they could at least keep the customer properly informed so we could make decisions accordingly. read more

Our dining experience at this restaurant was completely ruined by the incredibly rude behavior of a staff member. Initially, we faced hygiene issues with hair found in two of our plates, which we sent back. However, the problems escalated when, after a long wait, my meal was never served. When I addressed these issues and requested a refund, the staff member's response was shockingly aggressive. Instead of professionally handling the situation, he aggressively demanded that my four friends and I leave the restaurant, exhibiting a level of rudeness and lack of respect that I have never encountered before in a dining establishment. This individual's behavior was not only unprofessional but also personally insulting. I would say that the timing of when the system texts you needs some work. We ordered a Classic Breakfast with CRISPY bacon, home potatoes, multi-grain toast, a side of pork sausage and a cappuccino. The enclosed receipt does not accurately reflect what we ordered. The bacon was floppy and not fully cooked. The home potatoes were not done and soggy. The sausage was dry and tasted old. The cappuccino was perfect. So I would say that this Poached Kitchen location, compared to our prior experience of things done perfectly, failed the "stress test" - when tables and lines were full, it could not deliver it's normal well-prepared meals. They also failed to check back at the table which is a standard service item they have observed for many months. Of course new people still in training can account for alot of this kind of experience. We detected new people we had not seen before. We generally consider management accountable for ensuring that new employees are properly trained. We have not seen the food preparation break down before. This was a first but then we've never seen this many people lined up waiting for tables. Of course all kinds of things go on simultaneously that stress the system.... to go orders from online sources, people trying to box their leftovers, etc. Poached has a whole team of people who just worry about clearing tables, setting up tables with water, etc. This of course allows higher turnover and better utilization along with better customer service. Our takeaway today is: don't come to poached kitchen when it's packed....come earlier before 8am. and notice they serve lunch as well.

Then I experienced Santa Ana Brunch Club. When I say this was the best breakfast I have ever had, that is honestly an understatement. And yes, that comes with one very important disclaimer: no seafood* I'm allergic. Everything was phenomenal. And I mean everything. Most restaurants treat eggs like a supporting character a side dish, a filler, something added to make the plate appear more substantial. Santa Ana Brunch Club clearly sees them differently. The scrambled eggs were impossibly fluffy, beautifully seasoned, and carried an original flavor profile that was immediately distinguishable from any other eggs I've encountered. They weren't there to fill space; they were part of the composition. Now, what did I order? Bubbies Fried Chicken n Pancakes substituted with French toast. And this French toast... It looked like something pulled directly from the pages of a culinary magazine or lifted from a beautifully produced food television show. It was almost so visually perfect that I felt like I shouldn't touch it. But once I did, the presentation became secondary because the flavor was even more impressive. I have never considered myself a French toast person. Most of the time, it simply isn't executed properly, so I've always gravitated toward pancakes because, well... it's pretty difficult to completely mess up a pancake. The result was essentially an elevated interpretation of the chicken and waffle concept, except this felt like it had been taken into an entirely different culinary universe. This wasn't simply breakfast. It was a redefinition of breakfast. The kind of dish that makes you reconsider an entire category of food you thought you already understood. And then there were the drinks. The Berry Bloom is one of those drinks that makes you stop after the first sip and think, why isn't this bottled and sold everywhere? We went to this place by accident because we had forgotten the experience the last time around. It was worse this time. The food was bland, nowhere close to delicious Turkish food we regularly enjoy. The owner says that the "Anatolian" flavors must not suit my taste buds. I guess that's a way of saying "it's not us, it's you." We asked for sour cream for eggs, but were given half-and-half in a cup and told that it is sour cream. I guess that is Anatolian too. I asked for soft boiled eggs and no one had a clue what I meant, so I received hard boiled eggs instead that were clearly not cooked today. They came out instantly, cold and cut in half. Clearly, they were not made to order. My lentil soup also came out barely lukewarm. The rose "preserves" and honey were artificial sugary sauces with some type of corn starch. The cucumber and tomato salad was also pre-made and was soggy. On the bright side, the bread and olives were good, and the Utopia latte was tasty too. We placed a catering order from here today, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. We ordered vegetarian sandwiches, but there was a mix-up with the order. What disappointed me even more was the lack of accountability from the manager. When I brought the issue to the manager's attention, instead of acknowledging the mistake and taking steps to rectify it, the manager repeatedly asked, "What do you want me to do?" which was quite disheartening considering the role she holds. Notably, our order amounted to over $800 for our company, and given the substantial nature of the order, we expected a higher level of commitment to resolving the issue. Suggesting a solution or alternative and following through with it, especially given the significant amount spent, would have made a significant difference. I hope the management considers improving their customer service, especially when it comes to addressing mistakes in orders. I've been here twice, one of those visits was today. I want to start my saying the staff was amazing and very sweet, hostess was overwhelmed and not the nicest but the rest were wonderful. Their system is a little odd, you have to wait for the hostess to put a number at a table for you, then you go in line and wait to order at the stand. For the food, the coffee and pastries are incredible however, both times I've been here (for me and my fiance) we both agree that the food is extremely bland. There is absolutely no flavor to the meals. Today I for the omelette which had no salt, nothing just bland eggs with some sausage that was also flavorless. My fiance got the chicken panini which was exactly the same, and the chicken was very dry. overall, we paid $85 for two pastries, coffee, soda, and two entrees. Food was good and came out quickly. However, we ordered 2 turkish coffees for $8 each that came out with food. By the time we finished eating we asked them to heat the coffee for us since it was very cold and undrinkable. The manager was very rude and passively aggresive and started arguing that we ordered the coffee early and we should have drunk it the first thing and he couldn't do anything about it. Just from this brief interaction i know that i'm not coming here again and i wont be recommending the place to anyone wanting to try it. read more

The food was really good, and the ambiance is very nice. My dish was the cacio e peppe pasta and it was very good. The toast was a little hard but the flavor was good. My friend got the American platter and enjoyed it. Another friend got the Vegetarian omelette and she said it was good but a bit cold. Overall I recommend this place and I've yet to try the pastries. The only drawback is that you have to order your food at the counter and the line can move very slow (it took about 15-20 min before I could order) read more

The second time we went there again. We found the same waiter who works there. Do not believe how bad treatment there is. No one has the right to treat customers like this. Why do they allow those who do not know how to deal with people to work. I will never go there again I thought the treatment had changed.
