3 item combo. 1/2 rice 1/2 chow fun, wings, stewed pork w hard boiled egg, mapo tofu.
    Kim C.

Cheap combo plates! $7.50 for 1 item, $9 for 2 items, $10 for three items-- all with choice of rice or noodles or mixed. There are about 10 items to choose from. The wife piles it on and even needs a rubber band to close my 3 item plate. Food is good. I liked the chow fun noodles. The tofu had that herbal taste that I personally am not a fan. The wings were great! They are sweet. The stewed pork belly needed a little more flavor. Subtracted a star because she didn't want to give me chop sticks. Husband had bag, napkin, fork and chopstick ready but she looked at me and decided I didn't need chopsticks!! I'm 100% Asian but I only speak English.

    2 item combo for $9 (7/23/25)

For $7.50, you can get a one item combo, $9 - two, and $10 - three items! These prices are worth the portion and the taste. The chicken wings were sweet and the pork was tender. The egg was a nice addition to the noodles. Service is really fast and they know how to take orders well. It's the first stall on the left in the food court. Parking: A LOT because in a market plaza

Fried Chicken with rice... sorry, took a snapshot after it was already broken into LOL

My Mom and I usually eat lunch at the food court inside next to Great Wall (GW) Supermarket at The Square shopping center in Rosemead on the weekends unless we have a prior arrangement with my brothers to eat elsewhere in the San Gabriel Valley area. Wow... that was a very long sentence... did you take a breather? LOL Anyway, we were at the food court again this past Saturday. We normally get our foods from Golden Bull Noodle, but my Mom wanted to change it up a bit so she went to Nuoc Mia Vien Dong and got herself a Fried Chicken Rice for $6.50 (1 item plate)... such a great price! I have to say... it was a very big drumstick and very tasty & delicious indeed. Skin was crispy and dark meat was surprisingly moist. I enjoyed it very much! (my Mom shared some of her chicken with me if you're wondering... thank you Mom!) We will return for more of that scrumptiousness! They have other good food item selections... pick 1 or 2 or 3 items for a very decent price... I would eat here over Panda Express any day! I didn't order from here this time around, but I have tried their Bun Rieu in the past and it didn't disappoint. Of course, they don't beat Com Tam Kieu's Bun Rieu (my favorite), but you can't expect too much from here especially when you're paying half the price compared to other main restaurant chain prices. Consider them as cheap eats, but not cheap in a way that is negative, but cheap in a way that is the best bang for your buck! By the way, I ended up getting the Dumpling Egg Noodle Soup from Harlem's Kitchen (another favorite of ours at this food court). Staff is usually pleasant. Prices are very reasonable. Portions are huge. Taste and flavors are fantastic. If you're curious and want to try them out, drop on by! We'll see you here... maybe we'll be sitting at the same table LOL. Happy Good Eating! P.S. I didn't get a chance to take more pictures, but will get them next time. Also, after reading some reviews, this place used to sell sugar cane (nuoc mia = sugar cane in Vietnamese) drinks. I love sugar cane especially with a squeeze of kumquat... please bring it back one day! Thank you in advance!

Good casual cheap meal. Come here instead of panda ok! Lady there is nice and quick. Can be a bit of a challenge if you don't speak viet, but pointing definitely works - ordering is pretty straightforward. The husband has been coming here since he was young for the sugarcane. But they stopped selling sugarcane a couple years ago. Sad, it's fresh and at a good price. The name is nuoc mia but they don't sell nuoc mia!

This place is cheap and tasty. A one item combo only costs 6.50 and the portion is perfect for lunch. The noodles were soft and flavorful, on the thicker side which i prefer. The chicken was not overly salty, perfectly seasoned. I'm so grateful that we have options like these when everything is so incredibly expensive. Definitely coming back here again to try their other items.

Cheap Eats!!! I'm at Nuoc Mia Vien Dong at the Square food court in Rosemead. Honestly I just learned the name for yelping reasons but I've been coming to lil stand for years. This mom and pop shop has really tasty to go fast food for the lowest prices around. There's always a great selection of items to choose from. Today I got the 3 item combo for only 8 dollars and bun rieu for 7 dollars. Also cash only!

3 item combo for $6! Chowmein w/ eggplant tofu, curry chicken, and bittermelon soup. Already ate some noodles hehe..

If you're looking for fast casual chinese/vietnamese takeout, come here and support!! Prices are seriously unbeatable. Arrive earlier during the day so you get food that's at its peak freshness. The food is good for the price, and some of the selections are tastier than you might expect from a hole-in-the-wall supermarket eatery. Bring cash. You can get their 1-, 2-, or 3 item combos, but i'd say just get the 3 item combo because it's only $6 and can probably feed two. Then again, their portions for everything are huge.. Soo worth it! My family loves getting the giant fried chicken legs and curry chicken because they're both juicy and seasoned well. Their chow mein is good. I also recommend their bun rieu!! It's only $6 as well and one of their most popular dishes - the broth is very tomato-y, shrimp paste-y, and flavorful; it has tofu as well as minced crab(?)/pork pieces. Will be back to try their bun bo hue and sugarcane juice when they're back on the menu!

Bun Rieu and 2 item combo. $11ish!!

So I love supporting real mom and pops like this. These are those OG, no frills, small mom and pop shops that made SGV Chinese food famous. Good, cheap and fast. I have to say it was really nice not to spend $50-$80 for a meal especially during a pandemic when some of us is not working as much also. Look at what I got for $11/$12ish total! They have an extended menu and then some pick up deli style items. I was really impressed with the Bun Rieu portions with plenty of crab meat. I been paying $12-$15 for less at other places. It's not gourmet Michelin fancy food but it's that simple comfort Asian food that is still good and an amazing value. Shops like these remind me of our parents who work 7 days a week for 12hrs a day to support our immigrant families. Let's make sure we support places like this to ensure they survive. Amazing deal for a quick meal! Killed the Bun Rieu. Will be going back for more and to try some others.

Three item combo. Say no to Panda Express.
    Chris P. B.

Look at how much food they give you for $9.00. For $9.00, Panda Express doesn't give you 1/2 of the food they give you here. This place has been around forever. The food tastes great. Situated inside a food court. Cash only I believe. The owner is nice. Panda Express, take notes.

    Bun Rieu
    Doreen T.

I've haven't been to this plaza's food court in a long while. This review is based on the tomato broth Vietnamese Bun Rieu noodles only. I saw a post on FB's SGV eats and I knew I had to come try right away. It's not fancy like Nha Trang's Bun Rieu, but I love how their noodles is soft/slippery! I thought I was gonna eat only half and I end up eating the whole thing and fell into a food coma nap after! The broth is tasty with meaty crab meats and lots of tomatoes. The only thing that's missing is the shrimp paste taste and more tofu, it can definitely use more of it so I think my batch didn't have enough. Anyhoo, I will be back since at $6 (cash only) is so delicious and affordable! Yummy!

Love this place! They offer unbeatable prices on their party trays, making it the perfect choice for budget-conscious hosts.

Is this place open? I've been trying to called many times to confirm but always go straight to voicemail

Yes they are open now ! they were closed for a couple months.

Their phone got disconnected and not opening on a Wednesday night. No note no announcement outside the store- are they closed for good?

We ended up getting a set for $168 this time, which came with 6 dishes. It's also $35 per lb for lobster, and I asked for the smallest one. Apparently, the smallest one was 4.8 lbs, which was another $168, so I'm not sure if they upsold me. Anyways, the food was fantastic and everyone enjoyed it. This is what I thought about the food we got. House Seafood Soup - Simple and clean soup. Good portion, and it was soothing to eat. Lots of squid. (4/5) Clams with Spicy Sauce - Large clams with tons of meat, and the sauce was fire. Always a good choice. (5/5) Crab with Salt & Pepper - Loved the seasoning, and the flavors were solid. (4.5/5) Thai Style Beef Stew - First time trying this, and it was good. A bit different, but the meat chunks were tasty and the overall flavors were good. (4/5) Sautéed Pea Sprouts - Nicely done vegetable dish. It's simple but refreshing with good flavors. (4/5) Fried Whole Fish - This dish was gone so fast because it was delicious. Nicely fried and not overly seasoned. (5/5) Signature Lobster - I feel like you have to get this here since it's their specialty. It's pricey, but in my opinion, it's the best and freshest lobster in town. Tons of green onions, seasoned well, fresh meat, and lots of lobster roe. (5/5) Service was good, and they didn't automatically add a mandatory tip for a large party. The total came out to around $364, which is pricey, but the food was phenomenal. Parking - Valet only, but they have street parking in front. I parked on the street since there were plenty of spots on a Wednesday, but I assume it gets busy on weekends.

On our most recent visit, we came with a large group of 20+ people spread across two tables. The lobster and fried sole filet were still the highlights of the meal, very flavorful and delicious However, we found that some of the other stir-fry dishes were just average. The fried tofu, for example, was quite bland, and we even had to send back a vegetable dish because the texture was overly tough and chewy. Parking is available via valet or street, depending on timing and availability. As a side note, Boston Lobster nearby in Rosemead is a strong alternative, and honestly, I may even prefer it over Newport

The Peking duck lived up to the hype. I liked that they use pancakes instead of the buns, and building each bite with hoisin, green onion, cucumber, duck meat, and crispy skin gave a great mix of textures and flavors. The other dishes were solid too. The pea sprouts were fresh and loaded with garlicky flavor without being overpowering. The shrimp fried rice was probably one of the best value dishes we ordered at around $13 -- lots of shrimp mixed throughout and a great filler for the table. The honey walnut shrimp was unique because it came with melon, which added a refreshing touch. The shrimp itself was super crispy and I appreciated that it wasn't drowning in sauce or overly sweet. The sweet and sour pork was unfortunately a disaster. The pork was sliced paper-thin--so thin that it felt like I was mostly eating batter with barely any meat. I was also disappointed they took the sweet and sour fish off the menu because that dish was amazing a few months ago. The five-color noodles were light, clean, and refreshing. The pork elbow was delicious with a fun, tender texture. The fish maw soup was very good and comforting, though it could have used a little more seasoning. Other than that, it was delicious. The steamed sea bass with soy sauce was incredibly soft and fragrant--a definite must-order. The scallops with vermicelli noodles were another hit: fresh, clean flavors and perfectly cooked scallops. My only suggestion would be to cut the noodles, as they came in one big clump and were difficult to serve. We ordered the beef fried rice but were given lamb instead. It was a bit gamier than expected, but still tasty. The black fungus with tofu was also excellent--well seasoned and full of flavor. Overall, there were a few misses, but the Peking duck, sea bass, scallops, pork elbow, and black fungus with tofu made the meal worth coming back for.

Servers don't check in unless you call them over, nothing over the top. I ordered the baked chicken over tomato sauce and cheese. It was amazing, I'm still thinking about it days later! The tomato sauce was super flavorful without being crazy strong or tomato-forward. The cheese was baked perfectly on top, leaving a nice crispy texture but still chewy and stringy at the same time. I would definitely come back!

I was too hungry to wait but I decided to come back nice and early. At my 8:30am visit I was able to be selective in their parking lot and no wait to be seated. Yay! I love the interior décor. The table had dominos underneath the glass, the dishes and utensils had lucky auspicious affirmations. I'm all for the positive vibes this early in the morning. Staff are incredibly quick and efficient. They are really on top of it. I think they really have to be in order to meet the demand of the busy crowd. I was excited for the breakfast specials since I love breakfast foods. I can eat it all day! The breakfast combos come with your choice of drink. Cold drinks are an extra $1. After looking at some photos on Yelp and some helpful Q&A with my waitress, I decided on their Breakfast Combo D. Porkchop & Egg Pineapple Bun with Dried Scallop Congee ($13.99) and I opted for the Iced Lemon Tea ($1 cold drink upgrade). What a deal!! I also added a side order of the Fried Dough Stick ($3.50) or also known as the crueler or Chinese donut since I like to have it with my congee. It wasn't needed from a portion perspective but I just like it. The food came out quickly, the congee first and then the fried dough stick and porkchop & egg pineapple bun. What a feast! The ladies at the lady next to me were so excited at my spread they asked me what I got. They thought I was really pro but it was actually just my first visit. Inside the pineapple bun there was a fried egg, porkchop, tomato, lettuce, and sauce. It was a huge sandwich. This is one of the bigger pineapple buns I see and it was well stuffed. The amount of food I ordered was enough to feed 2 people. The congee was really subtle. I didn't get the fried scallop that is in the name... I would just perceive it as a plain congee. The fried dough stick was oily and didn't taste too fresh. I probably won't order it next time. Nevertheless a still overall fabulous meal. My tea was refilled before I had the chance to ask. When I asked for the check, they knew to bring me togo containers without me having to ask too. Very smart service! I had a great meal here and I will definitely come back if I wake up early enough to come at opening.

They have a lot of tables inside so it is great for small and large groups. The waiters were also fast even though they were busy. We ordered their Kung Pao Chicken, Fried Tofu, Beef Noodle, Shrimp w Walnut, and Vegetable w Garlic. We decided not to get lobster since it was pricey. They took our order pretty fast and gave tea to drink. The pot of white rice is extra $1 if you order though. And their menu book doesn't have prices for some reason. Only the to-go menu has prices. Food was served in a decent amount of time, around 15 minutes. And all dishes arrived close together so we didn't have to wait long. The kung pao chicken is so good! Not spicy at all and very nice and crispy with good seasoning. It tasted delicious with some rice. The beef noodles were also delicious! It had good wok taste and was very flavorful. The tofu and shrimp were also good. None of the dishes were too salty and all were seasoned well and in pretty big portions, though I don't remember the exact price since they took the receipt away when we paid. But the meal was very worth and we had leftovers for lunch the next day. Such a yummy meal! I really enjoyed it! I am definitely coming back again!

Boston Lobster is officially my go-to location for any|all Asian lobster cravings!! Newport…read morewho?????!!! My family and I used to religiously eat lobster noodles whenever we made a trip down to SoCal. The pick of the bunch was 100% Newport Seafood- no negotiations, no contemplations. Unfortunately, the last handful of times have left me extremely disappointed and heavily annoyed. The cost and wait times do not reflect what is actually being provided and most of our food ends up being left behind because it simply isn't worth the calories. In all honestly, I've grown a phobia w/ that specific restaurant at this point because of the countless letdowns. My initial taste of Boston Lobster was about 3 years ago and I had the most enjoyable meal. Due to our LA trip coming to an end, my BD thought we should do it big with some lobster noodles- for good old time's sake. I absolutely refused to go anywhere unless we would be giving Boston Lobster a visit! Sure enough, they did not disappoint! Dinner for 3 adults and 1 toddler consisted of: *Boston House Special Lobster [no spice] + Garlic Noodles for an additional fee. Medium Size 5-6lbs minimally. *French Style Beef Cube *Sauteed Snow Pea Leaves We ate like mf'n KINGS!! Each and every dish was spectacular- even the greens! While we should have gone with the small sized lobster, I'm proud to say we went down with an honorable fight. Lmao!! The lobster was cooked to perfection- meat was sweet, succulent, and so darn tender. The garlic noodles soaked up all of the delicious lobster flavors and were not overcooked and mush. The bo luc lac was flavorful, juicy, and complimented the bed of lettuce, onions, & tomatoes so well. The snow pea leaves weren't tough and old- this truly was a simply yet magical dish. Service was on point and the staff continually came by to swap out our plates full of lobster shells. Above all, there was no wait with our initial arrival. Parking is easy given the fact that BL has a pretty big parking lot specifically for them. 5/5 stars!! We dropped over 3 bills here and it didn't even hurt. Lmao- this place is that damn good! Don't sleep on this joint, y'all. Boston Lobster is the real deal when it comes to authentic Chinese/Vietnamese cuisine. This spot should be so much more hyped than it actually is!
