This place is a little hidden gem in the middle of Riverstone. And let's be honest there is a lot of food in the SugarLand area but not a lot of great food, matched with a beautiful venue and exceptional service. I know their prices are higher than most (one of the reasons I can't come here as often as I would like) but when you see and taste the quality of ingredients you'll understand, it's justified. We had the coconut shrimp appetizer, and shared a rare beef pho. Delicious, satisfying beautifully presented. I've had the panacota and the curry fried rice before and it's delicious

Vlotus serves up some delicious Vietnamese. The egg rolls were crisp and flavorful, the papaya salad had the perfect balance of fresh and tangy, and the crème brûlée was a surprising but standout finish to the meal. The food really shines here. Service was perfectly fine, attentive enough without being overbearing. Prices, however, do lean a bit high, especially considering the space doesn't quite offer the ambiance you'd expect at that price point. Still, if you're after quality flavors and don't mind paying a little extra, it's worth the visit.

My family and I came here on a Sunday evening based off of good reviews, we were not disappointed! The place was surprisingly packed around 5:30pm, but we were seated right away by the aquarium tank. The place was well decorated and they also had a wide selection of wine in the back. We ordered the honey tea, papaya salad, V Lotus Pho, steak pho, children's chicken pho, and creme brûlée which were all delicious! The menu had a wide variety of dishes which all looked great, albeit it was a bit on the pricier side. Service was great and the manager came by to say hi to us as well. They turned on the lights to the aquarium for my son which was a nice touch. All in all this seemed like a higher end Asian fusion restaurant, with great food and service. We'll definitely be back to try the other dishes!

V Lotus is a more upscale Vietnamese restaurant tucked away in Riverstone. The interior is beautifully decorated with peaceful music playing to set you at ease. Throughout my meal, the waiters were extremely kind, professional, and accommodating. My table ordered fried rice with brisket, veggie pho, and ribs. I was skeptical about the veggie pho, but was delighted after trying the broth. It was extremely flavorful and needed no extra seasoning or hoisin sauce. The fried rice and ribs were good, but did not live up to its price in my opinion. They gave us complimentary creme brûlée spoons after our meal which were super yummy! I would recommend V Lotus for those looking for a Vietnamese restaurant with excellent presentation, service, and environment. I'm not sure if the flavor matches the high prices, but I would come back to try more!

Decided to stop by and check this place out last night, we came by without a reservation and they still took care of us (: The food was absolutely amazing, from the starters to the entrees and to the dessert. Everything was made and served with such care. The environment was so cozy and welcoming, yet so beautiful as well. One of my favorite part of the restaurant was all the fish tanks they had, everything just looked so beautiful. Special thank you to Tao and Lucas, the service was absolutely wonderful and we will be back (:

The place is nicely decorated. Staff are very welcoming and attentive. Manggo salad is delicious, presentation is very colorful and appealing. Soft shell crabs very crunchy and well seasoned, taste like it was fried in fresh oil. Lobster in Curry lobster small but was good. We did not like the pring roll, which we were given comp. Over all a good experience. Will definitely go back and try the other dishes in the menu!

V Lotus Restaurant is a hidden gem with a wide variety of fresh, flavorful dishes and a peaceful, beautifully decorated atmosphere. The soft shell crabs, mango tea, and pho were outstanding--each bite practically melted in our mouths. Friendly service and a complimentary bite-sized crème brûlée at the end made the experience even more special.

Excellent food, atmosphere, and employees. Just go eat here. We will certainly be back here again if you come to Sugarland for another concert.

    Freshly prepared Pho!

Just stumbled upon this hidden GEM! Absolutely amazing! Tastebuds are still dancing. Perfect for an intimate dinner! Interior's stylishly swank! Great servers! And O MY GOODNESS do NOT skip out on the dessert! The FRESH COCONUT BOURBON ICE CREAM is absolutely delicious and an experience at the same time. Feel like I've travelled out of the country!

I just moved to Houston, Texas and I had the experience of visiting this place twice already. I really enjoyed the food the ambience even the scent in the place. Would come back again and bring others is always clean. The pho was out of this world.

During our first visit here, we tried the bangus sisig, the long anise breakfast, lumpia, lumpia gulay, pancit, and pork bbq. All dishes were served fresh, all with the traditional flavors of authentic filipino cuisine. The service was top notch, and all staff were friendly. Would highly recommend this restaurant for those wanting to experience a laid back filipino dining experience.

As you can tell, most of the stuff is kind of self-serve, which is normal for this kind of establishment. We came on a Sunday around 11 AM. It was a steady crowd. Tables and chairs are very clean. The light took a little bit to get used to. I think we picked the bad spot because the fan above us had a light above the fan so it kind of got stroby. The breakfast plate is garlic rice, one meat, some tomato slices, and two eggs. (The breakfast plate is served all day.) If you have a friend, get two breakfast plates and a street food (3 sticks of one type of meat only). And share that. It's very filling. The pandan dessert was a refreshing after dish but I think it would taste better cold. (I'll ask for some ice next time to put on top of it.) Parking is free and out front. There is a lot of space. This place is in a new looking plaza with plenty of shops ready to rent out.

When I arrived there was nobody dining in the restaurant, that was a bit worrying, but I figured it was a bit early for the dinner crowd and late for the lunch crowd. Food & Drink - 4.5* First up was the noodles, I enjoyed them, but I wouldn't say the hype I'd heard about from some others was there. They had nice flavor, but there just wasn't anything "special." 3.5* Then it was on to the crawfish, and my oh my. Superb, the flavor is delicious and unique. This more than made up for the noodles dish. The potato and corn was good too. Service - 5* Solid. When I first arrived the owner was quietly reading a newspaper and eating his own lunch. He paused to greet me and advised that I could sit anywhere. He provided water and adequate time to determine what I wanted to order. The food came out quickly and he checked in a few times to make sure everything was ok. As time went by, the crowd of folks showing up increased quite a bit and he still managed to check in on tables consistently. Pricing - 4* This is where it was odd. Always subjective but I found the noodles to be overpriced for not only the size but what I felt was a pretty simple dish. The crawfish on the other hand was priced very competitively and made up for the overpriced noodles. I provided pics of the menu for someone to make their own assessment but in general I thought many of the dishes were pricier than they probably should be. I know inflation is certainly killing many businesses and consumers but even these felt a bit off. Overall - 4.5* This is definitely going to be one of my go tos for crawfish when in the area. The flavor is fantastic, the pricing is good, the size of them were solid. There are a couple of other dishes I may try on the next visit. The restaurant is clean, the owner is very nice, and it's a nice low key space to just enjoy a good meal with friends or family.

I believe the crawfish is seasonal, so go during crawfish season because this pho was delicious. The crawfish were so tender and the pho was so flavorful. The grilled meats, fresh herbs, perfectly cooked rice noodles all made up perfect bite after perfect bite. The portion is quite large and filling, so I definitely feel like this is a very good option if you're looking for Vietnamese but not just your typical pho and banh mi options. The pho was solid too, but the only complaint I will make about the pho is that the portion of meat was way too small, contrary to the bun cha. We ordered a build your own bowl, and it came with maybe 1 piece of each of the meats we selected. The broth itself was pretty good and perhaps one of the better pho soups in the area. Service is decent but I have yet to visit while it is busy. I ordered the lunch special, which included pho and two egg rolls. The plate of vegetables was brought to my table, but there was no basil. I looked around the restaurant and noticed that the only other customer I saw without basil was another Black woman. When my two egg rolls arrived, they were cold. I don't eat cold food, so I left them on the table untouched. I asked the gentleman serving me if I could please bring me some basil. Instead of bringing it himself, he spoke to the woman who had taken my order. She came back and asked what I needed. I said, "Some basil, please." She responded, "More?" At that point, I didn't respond. I simply thought to myself, You never gave me any in the first place. She then brought the basil to my table, but there was a fairly large bug on one of the basil sprigs. When my pho arrived, the noodles were overcooked and mushy, making the soup unpleasant to eat. From the moment I walked in, I did not feel welcomed. The overall service was disappointing, and the food quality was poor. When it was time to pay, I chose not to leave a tip. I usually tip generously when I receive good service, but I cannot reward poor service and substandard food. I left feeling that I was treated differently, and that was upsetting. Whether intentional or not, no customer should leave a restaurant feeling unwelcome or feel they were treated differently because of the color of their skin. If businesses want the support of the community, every customer deserves to be treated with the same respect, courtesy, and quality of service.

I don't think I've ever consumed so much shrimp paste in my life, so if you don't like that flavor you probably wanna go elsewhere, but other than that everything was just really comforting and nice to eat. My least favorite of what we got was the Banh Bot Chien, and even that was still really good and had a nice crunch. Everything else we ordered was all really authentic and very forward with flavor. The restaurant was incredibly busy on the Saturday we went, with the bustling lunch crowd of both large families and old couples filling up the entire restaurant, so try to go at an off-hour where most people aren't eating. Growing up, my mom and grandma would make Cá Kho Tộ and Canh Chua, and those two dishes just belong together. You get the rich, savory flavors from the caramelized fish, while the soup adds the perfect amount of sourness to balance everything out. Before we went, I called to ask if they served Vietnamese egg rolls since my friend was craving some. The guy who answered the phone wasn't the friendliest, but I decided to roll the dice anyway, and I'm glad I did because the food was solid. We started with the egg rolls. At $10.95 for five pieces, I thought they were a little pricey. They came out piping hot and fresh from the fryer with a great crunch, and the fish sauce was delicious. My only complaint was the lettuce--they only gave us one piece. What am I supposed to do with one piece of lettuce? The Canh Chua Tôm had the perfect level of sourness, exactly how I like it. The shrimp were a little overcooked, but the medium-sized bowl was a generous portion. The Cá Kho Tộ was cooked perfectly. The sauce was rich and savory with a hint of sweetness, though I would've liked just a touch more salt. Pair it with a bowl of rice and some soup, and it's hard to beat. Overall, this place was solid. Is it better than my grandma's? Absolutely not--but that's a tough standard to live up to. It definitely satisfied the craving, and yes, I'd come back.
