Probably the closest pho I've had to home cooked in AZ! I ordered the combination pho with extra tendon. The broth is soo flavorful and meaty. The serving is very generous! I came twice in one week. The second time I ordered the beef lemongrass and let me tell you it reminded me of my dads cooking. It exploded with flavors, I was surprised as most pho places usually specialize in pho so other dishes are usually mediocre. Also I have to say the customer service is 10/10! Was out looking for a place for some Pho and some fried rice and could not have been more pleased. There were 2 young gentlemen serving the whole restaurant (about 8-10 tables) and they were helping each other out and bouncing around from table to table and prebussing, serving, refilling drinks and everything. There was an older lady who was making the Boba drinks as well as answering the phone and taking takeout orders. Everything appeared to be moving smoothly. We were greeted immediately and our order taken promptly. I had the fried rice special which was chicken, beef, shrimp all mixed in fried rice and my wife and son had the pho and spring rolls. The rice had plenty of meat in it and felt worth the 12$ price tag on it, only complaint was it was very greasy for a fried rice, so they probably have a lot of butter in it. Absolutely, NOTHING beats the pho you get from here. It is absolutely delicious. Even my favorite pho place back home doesn't compare to here. The broth is perfect and never needs anything added to it. I'm sad I will no longer be a regular customer as I no longer live in the state, but best believe whenever I come to visit I'll definitely be coming back here. If you want to try some good hearty family style Vietnamese food, this is the place all of the udon noodle dishes are amazing, the sampler platter, the lotus stem salad, and the chicken curry is so good the portions are pretty darn large too! I would not call this authentic Vietnamese food. I ordered 2 dishes for takeout. They did not have broken rice for the pork chop rice plate. The pho broth was extremely sweet. Pho broth should be light and beef flavored. This broth had too much sugar and tasted like it was made days ago. I came in at lunch time and there was only 1 other table occupied. This spot has super friendly staff. They offer hand sanitizer and paper towels (to use on door handle) at the door before you walk in. We ordered Pho for takeout the other night since we weren't feeling well. This is the best Pho we've had since moving here a little over three years ago. The broth is delicious, the meat and veggies were fresh, and the portions were very large! My order of Pho lasted me for 3 meals and my husband's lasted him for 2. There was a time not too long ago when they were good but now The Pho tasted like they were trying to boost the flavor by adding some Pho powder. It was way overdone and barely edible. The Shrimp and other add-ins came in a separate Styrofoam box. Guys as long as you're serving flavorless precooked shrimp give your customer shrimp that does not have the tail attached. The restaurant appearance needs a bit updating but the food and the price are well worth eating here on a regular basis. We tried the appetizer combo and for dinner I had the steak vermicelli. I used to love this place and frequented it more times than I can count. I was a bit bummed when they changed ownership because we really liked the previous and loved the pork pho. Today my hubby, daughter and I decided to stop back in and I was pleasantly surprised to see it looking close to the same. It is more restaurant style now with menus and such instead of ordering at the counter. We ordered the sampler appetizer today with spring rolls, eggs rolls, shrimp egg rolls and wings. SO GOOD. My fave was the spring roll and crispy shrimp egg rolls. We all were craving pho So we got chicken and two shrimp. Everything came out quickly and with plenty of fresh veggies. Shrimp was large and plenty of it which is a huge plus for me. I also ordered a milk tea with honey boba with additional ice to chill it. Service was good at first, but towards the end of our meal it was harder to get the attention of staff. Still a good experience besides an annoying fellow customer who thought we all wanted to hear her phone call on speaker phone and all while we tried to eat our meal as a family. If you're a time bind, this restaurant seems to achieve getting your pho our quickly and with great taste. There's a lot of flavor in their broth and they make it so easy to add Sriracha, hoisin sauce, and chili sauce to your heart's content! I love how some other customers compare this restaurant to Saigon Kitchen. It's different. This place specializes entirely in pho so of course that's what the focus is. They keep their menu simple. Did you want chicken, beef, or shrimp? Those are your main choices with the pho here. (Saigon is upscale and trying to provide a different "spin" on Vietnamese food in general, not just pho. They offer salmon belly pho, and pho with tendon, tripe and Vietnamese meatballs which are more southern Vietnamese fare. Plus they offer other dishes like Pork Banh Mi or non traditional "Shaken beef.") Sometimes, I just want pho, and now that I know I can come here for a quick and easy lunch with great food, this will be one of my regular stops. I once said, "Sure I wish there were some more unique pho offerings like tripe or those Viet meatballs but why add it if it's not as popular with their main audience?" But I think they listened to my earlier review, because they now offer those more unique offerings in the Pho Beef Special.. I think it's one of the higher combos..like #15 or around there? One time I ordered the mini beef pho combo #3. You order at the counter and they cart you your food. I didn't realize my combo came with a shrimp spring roll and two egg rolls and some greens. They don't mess around with portions. For $10, you can get pretty full but not uncomfortably. It's "just right." I might try the shrimp one next time! Another time I did order the Special Beef (with the tripe, tendons, and Beef) combo pho thinking it'd be lighter than the mini beef combo pho since it doesn't come with the egg roll and spring rolls, but they just gave me an even bigger bowl!! Still just under $10 without a beverage! It's a pretty tight squeeze in this place unless you sit in a booth. It's not like we planned on spending hours where anyway so it really didn't matter. They said once is enough, two is too much. I gave this restaurant a chance after the glass shard in my egg roll incident last time, cause we've been ordering out. Maybe it was just a one time incident. We dine in and all was well till we were eating the pho and fish put a blue rubber band in it.
