I don't write many yelp reviews, because as Sebastian Maniscalco says, " it's like tattle tailing on the restaurant!" However, in the case of V Pizza, I feel compelled to make an exception. My husband and I recently moved from Southern California, and checked Yelp for a good pizza place in the Cary area. That's how we ended up having an early dinner there a few nights ago. The food was exceptional, as was the experience we had with our server, Beth. We had the insalata pizza, with burrata, arugula, tomatoes, parm, and the Chicago combo sandwich. We were hosting 11 people for dinner in a couple of nights, so we decided to order two of the family meals; Layla's Cavatappi & Meatballs which came with salad and focaccia to serve that night. The food was abundant and delicious, and all our dinner guests raved about it. The owner was kind and friendly and helped my husband bring the food out to his car when he went to pick it up. Oh, and they have an incredible selection of beers on tap as well. We will be patrons for as long as they're around. read more

I discovered V Pizza in the midst of the COVID shutdown. One evening, I called and ordered a margherita pizza for my child and then stepped inside the store the pick it up. The smell of deliciousness was almost dizzying. It's the kind of smells that bring me back to my childhood in Italy. Amazing. A bit of heaven that can reconcile one to living, yes, even in the midst of a pandemic. So I started looking at the menu, and found out that they had dessert! They had me at cannoli. And the lady preparing the cannoli didn't just shove two premade cold cannolis in a box, she actually took the shells out and filled them by hand and generously so! That kind of attention to details gets high marks from me. So far we haven't tried their salads because what's the point of dieting in the midst of a pandemic (LOL) but I will and I love the various offerings! As an Italian, I expect Italian restaurants to have good salads and not just an afterthought!! We have been coming back at least weekly and I have found the food to be amazing and the staff to be courteous, cheerful and attentive. I am looking forward to being able to sit in the patio that they prepared and actually eat there. read more

Having heard so many rave reviews about this place, I decided to give it a try with a friend. We ordered two pizzas, the smaller ones, he had one glass of beer, I had water, and we had two ice cream cups desserts - just ice cream, no toppings, nuts, syrup, etc - ice cream scoops. The bill was, get ready, FIFTY THREE DOLLARS! This did not include the tip. Pizza was meh, nothing that would ever make me go back - even if the price was 1/2 of the FIFTY THREE DOLLARS. For the love of Pete, IT'S PIZZA, not rib eye! I can't imagine that this place will stay around for very long, unless all of the crazies that think pizza is worth as much as steak, continue coming. read more

Unfortunte to say, but their pizza was truly terrible. The crust was completely floppy and wet. Either the cheese or the tomato sauce made the pizza totally soggy to where toppings were falling off and pizza couldn't even be held because it was just so floppy. Pizza was decent (not great), but this restaurant is NOT covid-safe. From my seat I could see the kitchen staff and of ~5 people I could see in the kitchen, only one was wearing a mask properly. The other four people preparing the food either had their noses exposed the whole time and/or would just remove their masks altogether for long periods at a time. The management either didn't see or chose not to say anything to them, but it was a blatant disregard of basic safety precautions. read more

We ate here last night with a party of 9 (4 adults/5 kids) and not only was the food outstanding, but the staff was beyond accommodating and checked on our table several times. The 3 pizzas we ordered all came out perfect with fresh ingredients & exceptional flavors, plus an amazing crust! My daughter had the meatball sub (SO GOOD!) and we also had pancetta Mac N Cheese and caesar side salads. This place is amazing. We have need a wood fired pizza spot. We had the Fly'in Hawaiian and the Pesto Cavatappi with pancetta. Food was amazing. Line was a bit long but worth the wait. You can always sit at the bar and order if you don't want to wait in line which features a lot of local beers. They have an outside area for when the weather is warmer. We met the owner Anthony who spent time talking to my husband and I. He said all the ingredients including the dough are flown in from Italy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We didn't have a good experience the first time but tried again to give them a shot. Served a Caesar salad in a to go container and we are supposed to dress it ourselves....ok odd. We have given this place three chances to provide even a minimum level of service. We had friends warn us that the service was horribly slow and even rude at times but wanted to give it a try since we absolutely love pizza. The first time we actually had a very tasty cauliflower pizza although we did have to wait a considerable amount of time and no one ever apologize for the wait. We enjoyed it enough that we went back a second time and sat outside and literally waited an hour for our pizza to come which was not pleasant at all especially with a young baby. Despite this and understanding the staffing shortage we went back a third time only to be treated so rudely that we left before we even ordered our food. The waiter proceeded to roll his eyes at us and patronize us and was extremely belligerent all because we asked if they had a highchair. I do NOT recommend dining at this establishment until they can get their act together in terms of service and better manage expectations. Additionally and finally we have been given conflicting information each time which is, "why did you just sit yourselves versus come to the front to be seated" and we have done exactly what they've asked. read more

The customer service from the lady who handled my online order was horrible. I got passed that. My food was not placed in the bad with care so that the sauce, oils, and juices didn't spill over. I got passed that. I started eating my salad and it tasted waaayyy too "ripe". The banana peppers tasted like silly putty. The dressing was disgusting. I heard about the new V Pizza, and decided to try it out with a few friends. I'm a MAJOR pizza head, so I was super excited to try this new "Straight from Italy" type pizza. We were encouraged to order the specialty wings and the carnivore pizza (we ordered about 4 pizzas in total.) I must say that EVERY bite was AMAZING. I don't think I've had such fresh tasting pizza in YEARS. The wings were OUT OF THIS WORLD. I could literally sit and just eat a bowl of the onions that came on the wings. My whole table was outstandingly amazed! What really topped this whole experience was the extremely friendly and caring lady Anastasia that took our order, and came over to talk to us! We had so many questions and she talked with such knowledge! She seemed genuinely excited that we were ecstatic about our food. Not to mention her amazingly funny and sweet personality! And that smile! Oh my Lanta, I could just bottle it and put it on my shelf! I must say, customer service is all about sincerity, and the ability to make customers feel they're at home and appreciated, and she NAILED IT! We watched her float around the room making sure each table was having the best experience possible. This means alot to us! You just wont believe how often we eat out, and leave not wanting to return because of the attitude of workers. Pizza was fantastic; we had the margherita, bolognese and the Mac-Attack. The dough is the best you'll find in North Carolina and the wings are equally just as great. Beer selection was awesome too, Kristen recommended an ipa that went well with the Calabrian wings; i can't wait to make this a regular spot! read more
