We were in the area and stopped in for some pizza and beer/wine for dinner. The place was hopping on a Saturday! Kids birthday parties outside, kids running all around inside. I guess the far left side is supposed to be more "adult" seating and it seemed to be when we first arrived. Mid-meal it got so loud that I was ready to go. We ordered 3 different pizzas (Carnivora, Build Your Own and a Margherita V Signature with mushrooms). The margherita pizza I was going to be eating arrived first. It took well over 5 minutes for our server to come by and we had to ask for plates, napkins and silverware. By the time that came out and we could eat, the pizza was cold. I love Neapolitan style pizza and this might have been good if it was hot. I really wanted to love it, but couldn't. Even the leftovers the next day heated in the microwave wasn't good. Sorry I don't have a pizza oven at home to reheat it and didn't want to wait for the oven to heat up. It's like the bottom crust never got fully baked. Either meal, I couldn't eat it with my hands since it was a big glob. It required a knife and fork. They did a heavy sell on their charity when dropping off the check. I wish they paid as much attention to service and food quality during the meal.

Usual lunch stop on my St Augustine drive. The service is good as always at this location. Even though you order at the counter and get your own drinks and utensils they still check in at the table and clear it, offer to bring plates and silverware when they drop off the food. It's always fairly empty when I get In there during the weekdays which is nice for noise since the high ceilings and open floor seating can get loud. I try to switch my food choices up there hasn't been anything that I haven't enjoyed (pizzas, calzone, meatball sub) The Caesar salad could use a-little more spunk but they are one of the few places that does not skimp on the cheese and they use the good parm slices

This place was hopping! We sat on the full service side of the restaurant. The hostess and waitress did a great job! The decor was a fun tiki bar vibe. I enjoyed the insalata pizza and my husband had the caprese sandwich.

The hostess at the flask and cannon was wonderful, however since they could not accommodate my party (9) we decided to go to the to the self serve side, I arrived at 445 pm on a Saturday. The kids at the cashier were nice and helpful, however I ordered a wine and their tools were not up to par to get the bottle opened while there was a long queue. We had to help open the bottle, at no fault for our nice attendant, he was lovely and very apologetic. Did I mentioned how busy they were? Omg the phones did not stop ringing and the line of people did not subside during the time I was there. Food was good, as usual. I wish they had more full service tables especially during a weekend, we called in advance and were told no reservations, that would also be helpful. Good food, I'll try this location again

I've been numerous times now- with various friends and I love the vibe, staff, food and cocktails! Everything is spot on. Both the Bolognese Pizza & Delle Donne pizza are fabulous, the side salads huge and fresh! I really enjoyed the park and stormy and tried the Saturn last time I was there and enjoyed that too. Fun location and I can't wait to stop back in for more pie and drinks!

V Pizza + Flask & Cannon - St. Augustine, FL This restaurant is really struggling to figure out what it wants to be. On one side, it feels like a casual pizza place--you order at the counter, take a number to your table, and can see the brick ovens working. The other side is a sit-down dining experience. But then you look around... and it's all pirate, tiki, beach, and Hawaiian decor, like someone who doesn't understand Florida and thinks we only care about palm trees and parrots. It honestly doesn't work at all. This was my husband and I's first time eating here, and we left very confused. If they really wanted to lean into the Hawaiian theme, they should've offered island-style food. Instead, they decided to shove Italian food into this beachy, tropical setting, and it just feels mismatched. One of the most surprising parts? They told us they can't sell breadsticks or garlic knots because they can't cook bread in the brick ovens. I found that hilarious--people have been cooking bread products over open flames since the first century! I will say--it was wonderful that the food was healthy and made with good quality ingredients. But overall, it felt a little on the pricey side for what it was. That said, the Italian food we had was actually good. Our server, Sarah, was fantastic, and the rest of the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. They even brought us free chicken wings since it was our first time visiting, which was a nice touch. Location: 5700 US-1 North, St. Augustine, FL 32095 Hours: Sunday: 10 AM - 9 PM Monday-Thursday: 11 AM - 10 PM Friday & Saturday: 11 AM - 11 PM Parking: Free lot with easy access. There are also other locations under the V Pizza name, including: Flask & Cannon (Jacksonville Beach, FL) V Pizza & Julep (Palm Valley/Ponte Vedra, FL)

We went for lunch in St. Augustine since we were in the area and felt like having pizza but did not want the pizza to be super heavy. We walked in a we were immediately greeted and asked if we have been there before. I told them it was my parent's first time and the cashier proceeded to explain to them how everything worked. We ordered a chicken and a Mac attack pizza along with fountain drink a couple of beers. The store manager then later came to the table with some chicken wings for us to try as it was my parent's first time there! They liked them so much that they placed an order for chicken wings to eat with the pizza. Everything tasted delicious the pizza was nice and hot and the dough was delicious the wings were great and the caramelized onions on them are amazing! The staff were super friendly and the restaurant is nice, super clean and has a lot of tables. Definitely one to try.

10/10 would recommend. The pizza: always great. The best part? The tiki bar. We ordered a Dr.Funk (trader Vic's original) and the bartender made it - no questions. He even offered to order any ingredients they might not have right now to have it available next week to make a drink we'd want. True tiki fans; this is your place! I love everything about this place! I'm a big fan of brick oven pizza, and the carnivora pizza surely did not disappoint. Great flavor, perfect crust... What else could you ask for. The energy of the restaurant is engaging - they have weekday evening activities including cornhole, trivia and bingo, and the entire place offers so many different dining experiences from the more formal area on the north side of the restaurant, to the high top bar tables, a full bar, a takeout area, and a casual dining room also. Oh yeah, there's the entire outdoor area with seating, games and more. I also appreciate that the ownership of the restaurant is very charitable in the surrounding area, with lots of opportunities to join them in charitable endeavors. On the day of our visit, we alsat at a high top bar table and were served by the bartender - a gentleman who somehow managed to handle the bar and all the high top tables and not miss a beat. Pricing averaged just over $20 per person all in, including tip and tax. I will certainly look forward to coming back here.

Food is average, pizza was very wet. Service was horrible, 45 minute wait for a small pizza, 10 wings, and two beers.

We dropped in late afternoon and grabbed a few seats at the indoor bar. The bar staff here works the entire bar I'm sure we were greeted by all of them during our visit and each provided exceptional service. The drinks here are very creative and all come with very generous pours, if you like rum this is a place you'll fall in love with after your first sip - we decided to just go down the drink menu and try as many as we could responsibly and immediately knew this would be a favorite when in the area. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite drink and it would be just as tough to pick a favorite off their small bite menu. We decided to try a few of the specials, it's a relatively simple menu but everything is filled with flavors that are incredible - the char-grilled oysters are plumb, fresh and unique in every way, the fried black grouper bites were crispy served with a delicious remoulade and a spicy jalapeño chimichurri that will light up your tastebuds, we also tried the jerk chicken thighs skewers and amazing crab empanadas filled with a curry concoction like no others. The portions are large enough to share and really balance out the cocktails, this was a really nice experience and one I plan to repeat in the near future, with all the options in St. Augustine this one is at the very top of the list in my opinion and with parking at a premium in the area they have plenty, definitely worth a try...

The renovations are a massive improvement over the previous bar, and the atmosphere is genuinely lovely. The Good: The food is generally solid. The fish dip and salads are nice, and I've had the smash burger a few times--it's amazing. The fish sandwich I ordered was very bad and I couldn't get a member of staff's attention so left it uneaten. The Bad: Unfortunately, my most recent visit was entirely derailed by the service. We sat at the bar and the experience was frustrating. The female bartender (dark hair, glasses) repeatedly interrupted me while I was trying to order, and then got my drink wrong. When I tried to correct it, she literally walked away. My friend tried to order for me, but three bartenders were huddled together chatting and completely ignoring the patrons. We spent a lot that night, and leaving a fish sandwich I didn't enjoy (and couldn't send back due to lack of service) just added to the disappointment. I sincerely hope management addresses the bar staff's lack of attentiveness, because if this continues, this cute place won't last. I'd be happy to speak with the manager directly about this, as we are locals who want to keep coming back.

The combination of imaginative cocktails, exceptional food, and a unique atmosphere makes every visit memorable. The cocktail program is outstanding. We enjoy trying a variety of their exotic and inventive drinks, and they never disappoint. The flavors are bold, creative, and unlike anything you'll find at a typical restaurant bar. The Yellow Submarine cocktail is quite possibly the best drink I have ever consumed. Made with curry-infused Bermuda black rum, lime, ginger, and Asian five-spice brown sugar syrup, it sounded unusual on paper but came together beautifully. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered four of them that evening, something I rarely do. That was three years ago, and despite returning several times since then, I have never seen it on the menu again. The food is equally impressive. Two years ago, I ordered the Skillet Roasted New York Strip served with Yukon Gold potato-anna, roasted asparagus and spring onions, watercress, and black truffle hollandaise. To this day, it remains one of the top five restaurant meals I have ever eaten. Every component on the plate was exceptional. The steak was perfectly prepared, the crispy potato galette was irresistible, and the black truffle hollandaise elevated the entire dish to another level. It was the kind of meal that stays with you long after the plate is cleared. I would gladly drive 300 miles just to eat it again. Most recently, I had the wild mushroom bisque, and it was the best soup I have ever consumed. Rich, creamy, buttery, intensely mushroomy, and perfectly balanced, it was everything a mushroom soup should be. The addition of crispy pickled onions and crème fraîche added texture and contrast that made an already outstanding soup even better. My wife and I enjoyed it so much that we returned the very next day hoping to order it again, only to discover it had already rotated off the menu. My only complaint about The Ice Plant is that some of their greatest creations seem to disappear as quickly as they arrive. While I appreciate the constantly evolving menu and understand that seasonal changes are part of what makes the restaurant special, there are certain items that deserve a permanent home. The Yellow Submarine cocktail, the wild mushroom bisque, and the Skillet Roasted New York Strip with black truffle hollandaise are three of the finest things I have experienced there. The fact that I can vividly remember one of these items from three years ago and another from two years ago says everything. Great restaurants serve good food. Truly special restaurants create dishes and drinks that stay with you for years. The Ice Plant has done that for me more than once, and that is why we continue to return whenever we visit St. Augustine.

Antique, rustic, comfortable, and full of enough character that you almost feel like you've stepped 200 years back in time. Then the drinks arrive, and suddenly you realize you've been transported into the future of cocktails. I wish I could remember the name of the drink I ordered because it was spectacular. Whiskey, a little sweetness, mint, and crushed ice. That's about all I can tell you. What I can tell you is that I could have happily consumed about 30 of them, tumbled down the stairs, and been perfectly happy about the whole experience. My wife went with the Mojito, and it was brilliantly constructed. The crushed ice and layered mint made it look almost too good to drink. Almost. The drinks absolutely deserve five stars. Then came the blue crab beignets, and they were spectacular. That's the kind of appetizer that makes you stop talking for a minute because everyone at the table is too busy enjoying what's happening. Unfortunately, the rest of the food didn't quite live up to the cocktails. The fish dip was very average and lacked much flavor, and the menu itself felt pretty limited. So here's the deal: if you're coming to The Ice Plant for drinks, I would have no problem giving it five stars. The cocktails are that good. This is a highly recommended stop for a drink in St. Augustine. But I have to review the entire experience, and the limited menu and average fish dip bring the overall experience down a notch. Four stars. Come for the drinks. Stay for the atmosphere. Definitely order the blue crab beignets. And if you happen to find yourself three cocktails deep, admiring the antique decor while contemplating the stairs, maybe just take your time.
