The business has a small parking lot it shares with other businesses, there is also a small gravel lot beside it that you can park at. If you go at a busy time, parking can be a chore. Upon arrival, the business was busy with both inside and outside seating filled but we were seated immediately at a table with both bench and chair seating that shared the bench with other tables. There is also bar seating and you can sit at a high top that borders the brew stations. It took a few minutes for us to meet our server who took our drink orders. Soda for her and non-alcoholic IPA for me. It took our server a while to bring our drinks and she forgot my IPA so she had to go find it. Once we had our beverages, we ordered our food. We started with the bacon wrapped blue cheese dates - the dates are served on tooth picks and looked great but the blue cheese overpowered the flavor of everything else. My wife ordered the special of the day (not on everyday menu) which was shrimp tacos with a black bean pineapple salsa and house made chips and fries. I opted for the house burger with cheddar cooked medium and chips and fries. It took a long time for our food to come out and after observing our server chatting it with a table of her friends who were behind us, I am pretty sure she may have forgot to order it in a timely manner. When our food came it was auctioned off to us by another team member (no server to be found). My wife's tacos were overstuffed and fell apart. I tried one and the fried shrimp tasted really fishy to me, not like fried shrimp is supposed to taste. My burger was okay but nothing special. Really wanted to like this place but it did not live up to our expectations.

I met with a friend of mine on yesterday for lunch at this location around 1:00. We are residence of the Island. Previously heard great things about V's pizza. We could not have been so disappointed! NO! One ever came to our table to ask if we wanted to start out with water or even given menus. The workers inside were engaged in there on conversation. We had to ask where to sit. They were not crowded at all at the time. The young lady behind the counter had no welcome hospitality. She looked very upset. We waited and for about 10 minutes after we sat ourselves outside as staff proceeded to ignore our presence. We finally left. I have never experienced that type of customer service in my life. This place is walkable from our hotel and we wanted somewhere that we could sit outside while observing social distancing. I had checked the menu in advance and everything sounded amazing. We decided to get the Salsiccia pizza and the Napoletana salad and split it. Unfortunately, their liquor license didn't start until the following day but they invited us to pop by the grocery store next door and stay to eat on the patio, so we did. It's been over a week since we dined at V Pizza and I can't stop thinking about it. My co-workers and I were planning to go out been discuss where to eat. Some of us were craving for Italian food. And Samantha shared that she knows an Italian place and has been wanting to try it. We are a group of six and only one of us has been here before but hasn't tried everything on their menu. We ordered a variety of dishes and shared. We ordered the salad to start our meal. And we also had Hawaiian and calabrian wings. On these two, I prefer the hawaiian. Saturday night at V Pizza St. Simons is where the energy's at -- live music, buzzing crowd, and that laid-back island vibe. We started with the Calabrian wings, which were a total hit -- crispy outside, juicy inside, with just enough heat to keep things interesting. The Salsiccia pizza, though, missed the mark a little. The crust had a great chew, but the flavor felt like it needed a bit more seasoning to really shine. We then split a Garden Salad which again was nice. Entree choice on the menu was limited but diverse enough. My wife ordered the Tramici Piccata with shrimp and I ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese. Both dishes were hot and fresh but to be honest the Piccata was really bland and basically Angel hair pasta with butter. I expected a tasty zesty sauce that would make it worth eating. Again the other ingredients were fine just underwhelming. The Bolognese was light on sauce and meat and not enough to flavor the pasta. I didn't get the rich flavor I expected. Again, both entrees were pretty much a disappointment. I wanted to like this place so much but not sure we'll give it another shot. it's possible but I'd definitely order differently if we return for sure.

First time trying Ember and stopped in on a Saturday around 5 PM. Remarkably they had happy hour…read morespecials going. $3.50 well drinks and $4 house wines and a number of items on the happy hour menu to eat and drink. The restaurant is large enough with good bar space and two dining sections. Overall it gives a nice quaint ambience with a big wood fired oven in view from the bar. I ordered an Old Forester well bourbon on the rocks and my wife ordered a glass of red wine. We followed up later with the second round. We enjoyed our drinks and chose to try a handful of items off the happy hour menu. We started with the brie, the chef's choice tacos, the oven roasted olives, and the Caesar salad. Everything had a wood fired flare. The oven roasted olives were a nice order meaty and oven hot. The Brie was wood fired melted with a side of house jam and what I would call a ciabatta roll. It was my favorite. Again very good. The chef choice tacos were beef and came as an order of 2 small but tasty tacos. We shared the Caesar salad which had a nice smoky flavor with a tasty dressing and overall good. Everything was fine and definitely above average and would probably order those again. There's a pretzel and chicharrones also on the HH menu We ordered a Meatzilla Fire bread off the main menu which was tasty thin pizza. A little thin crust for me but everything was fresh and good quality. $1 charge for parmasian cheese. I would likely come back again to try some of the mainstay entrées, like scallops, bone-in pork chop and ribeye steak which looked a little pricey but again sometimes you get what you pay for. Looking forward to our next trip. I would definitely stop by and try the happy hour for excellent drinks and some tasty shareables and remarkably inexpensive drinks. We generally don't order dessert but tried the Eula May which was a sour dough pound cake. It was excellent. I would rate this restaurant at a 4.5, however, it is much better than many of the places I've tried in Brunswick or Saint Simons Island. I'd make a final rating once I try again and taste the entrees. The Yelp average of 4.2 is way too low for this place. I chose to give it a 5.0 rather than a 4.0. Definitely worth trying.

The owner is clearly passionate about the menu, execution, restaurant design, staff, and guests. At the end of the night, the entire staff gathered to celebrate an employee who was changing jobs. The menu here is really cool and creative with a a lot of variety. It's a rare restaurant that you could eat at multiple times and have a different experience each time. We didn't even get to the pizzas or entrees, but the tapas were awesome and satisfying! Highly recommend this spot for a, different experience from most traditional restaurants.
