Yeah, the V Room is the bomb. PBR's are $2.50. This place is great. Nice pool tables @ 50 cents per game and nice folks. It's just a great bar. Also, they've remodeled the place. They tore out that old wall-carpet and installed wood paneling: good move...! BTW, I've been ridiculously drunk there a few times but I always seem to fit right in... This is a real bar. read more

A classic long beach dive bar! They make pretty good drinks and not that pricy, they got some good craft beer options. My favourite is their bloody Maria yuuum! The pool tables are usually occupied and be ready for a lot of regulars and cash only. read more

well....let me tell you about v room... I came in here at the end of the night, and I wanted to give the bartender a good tip so I asked "what's the cheapest, strongest drink you have"?. I was kicked out of the bar for asking this question. Not only that, but I was called "a piece of shit" by the bar owner herself!! Yes that's right, she said that I should "get the fuck out" even though I was a paying customer, with an open tab. Never going back here. read more

The V Room is one of the coolest bars in Long Beach. Fun, easy, unpretentious, nice hard-working bartenders, lotsa locals - punk and rockabilly especially. Descent jukebox with punk, country, 80's and rockabilly mostly. It's a good date spot or place to catch up with friends. I always wind up at the V Room even after going to other bars. Love it. You're right, if you're not tattooed we may look at you funny. But if you're a hipster we will definitely look at you funny. It's a dive bar, it's not supposed to be clean, it's supposed to be dark and grungy. That usually keeps out the non-riff raff. We like it that way. Best Bar in Long Beach! It looked a little intimidating from the outside but inside is different story. The nicest bartenders and such a cool kick back vibe. What a horrible place. Its full of wanna be hipsters that enjoy filth and grime, its not even punk. Your feet stick to the floor when you walk and the restroom smells like it was painted in Crap and Puke. The beer, the only good thing, except is overpriced. . . WTF are we paying for, atmosphere! The Bartender is rude and will not give you any service if you are not a regular or are slightly off white. Funny being that it is in the middle of the ghetto. Parking on the streets. Kind of hard to do, but I can deal with it. 2 drinks for $14 not bad at all! Yes, its a dive bar, and yes there are a few characters in here. haha Okay so I went with ah boo boo and little Demong. Our first time. Um. some buff dude that looks like the Brawny guy on the paper towel commercial approached me and Demong. Seriously, dude scared me. haha So he was like, "hey man, I have to buy you a drink, what are you drinking?" I'm like, huh? He looks at Demong and was like, "I'm telling you, you're lucky, I don't buy guys a drink, but you, you look really cool, and I am buying you one." I'm like uh oh... are we at a gay bar? haha I felt so bad Demong is from out of town, and I think I might have taken him to a gay bar. I was like, "he's fine." Dude, stares at me and was like, "no! I'm buying him a drink," finally we walked away, and sat down at a table to finish our drink. The dude to my right kept on nudging me, and starts to talk about how he wants to nibble or bite on ah boo boo's ear? LOL! I was like, um... hello? twilight zone. So some girl next to him threw water all over him, I was like GULPED ! Yes! I finished all of my drink, and was like... lets go guys!! I was gone in 20 seconds. BYE!! Ah - yes - the V Room - I have so many stories now just fragments in my imagination like when I stole a martini shaker and had to replace it. the best drink is the Red Delicious - just make sure the bar lady makes it right 3 parts vodka, 1 part cranberry juice and 1 part apple pucker - in a shaker and pour over ice. and vavavavoom! Great Juke box - now its important to know when to go there - during the day they have the 02 crowd - you know the old folks with Oxegen tanks , still smoking and clinging to life and the bar stool playing both country and Western fav's, ( is there a difference?)later its begins to mix a little with folks nursing a beer - but things get to howling at full moons around midnight -that is when the zombies, vampires , goths , leapord women , , punkers, hard core and tatooe cannibals come out and DRINK THEY DO and the music gets louder and the TV is mindless and you end up talking to somebody's mother or a self employed/unemployed gas passer or the guy who fixes your brakes. PBR's and Miller flow, the bathrooms are old but clean, a single pool table for the hell of it and lots of cheap drinks, (just bring cash - they don't take credit cards) the walls are cheap red velvet (for you goths) I once met a insane skin head who just plopped himself down in front of me and my girlfriend and screamed over the music a lot of stuff but I could not hear and did not care but watching him go insane was better than watching the TV so we all laughed and screamed and the funny thing was we did not stand out from the rest of the crowd - indeed all 3 of us were wall flowers against the red velvet walls. later under the table I met this girl I used to know who's boyfriend kept threatening to beat me up for either talking to her or because I kept drinking his beer and he kept ordering more - i'm not sure which? but it was a great night during the happy hours in hell and since my girlfriend is a zombie anyway - she did not mind the kaos either because she was well preserved in alcohol from all the Red Delicious's she had or because she thought me howling in the middle of a crowd that did not notice was music to her ears - The V - Room - this is a local dive bar with a nice cross section of the people who live there - amen! better to park on the street in the hoods - their parking lot is small and you can get blocked in easy. read more

v room is awesome but need a dj sometimes like stache bar has across the street and a new jube boxe that play new songs of now but by far a cool scene of people and underrated bartenders of all of long beach thats make the best drinks in town.If you go to v room try there cinnamon toast crunch shot and there breakfast bacon shot also people. read more

This is my 'Cheers", best crowd in LB and I never feel uncomfortable. Staff is great, usually parking close by(which is a suprise if you know 4th street). This is where I tend to end my nights. I love this bar! read more
