Sadly I will not be visiting this salon again after being a loyal client for about 7 years. Was unable to make my appointment because of an emergency and they refused to let me make an appointment with the stylist of my choice citing "too many cancellations" which is completely untrue. 7 cancellations in 7 years is not what I deem "too many cancellations". That's an average of 1 cancellation a year!! I find this totally ridiculous, I'm this climate where prices ar steadily on the increase and people are being conservative with their spending you would think that they would be more appre of their loyal clients. This spa was exceptional! The decor is beautiful and relaxing....not a speck of dirt can be seen....the pedicure stations were also clean... My nail tech Kathy did a great job on my manicure and eyebrows....I will definitely be back to try a pedicure. Kathy was so friendly and attentive to detail. The only person I'd ever let touch my nails there again would have been Kobe. But being as though he doesn't work there anymore, I wouldn't dare spend any of my money there. They are unprofessional at the core and rude. Jimmy just wants the money so he can keep walking around in a nail salon with Gucci shoes to make himself feel important. He doesn't even do a good job at nails himself so I can't really be mad at him not being able to recognize a bad job when it's right in his face. Don't even get me started on Skyy. I went to him because I've heard only great things about him and I was going to him for a while before the Halloween incident. We became pretty cool, we would talk about me being a culinary student and him wanting to open a restaurant. I even gave this man one of my old textbooks to help him get started. Needless to say, I was very disappointed with my experience and the fact that he argued with me about it because HE overpromised and underachieved, every time that day, is unacceptable. I tried to compromise with him and choose styles that weren't too intricate and he insisted that they were ALL easy as pie. Then he got frustrated cause he didn't want to do my nails anymore. Customer service is horrible. I made an appt for noon and the tech couldn't even be bothered to respect our time and when I spoke to the receptionist she was so rude, didn't provide any solution and couldn't be bothered to even look up from her task to assist. When I complained about the late timing she whispered to her colleague and didn't do anything to assist. This place costs too much to treat customers rude. Recently I decided it would be a self care kind of day. I decided to come back to the nail shop near the house which I had gone to previously and had a good experience. I made an appt, showed up early, was asked to the back at my appt time and seated. I noticed after I had been seated in the pedi chair almost 30 minutes had gone by, the tech who made my water never returned, the water turned cold, and other ladies had been seated after me and were well into their pedicures. I remained calm and didn't say anything as I knew it wouldn't help. Another tech finally approached me and asked how my water was, I replied sadly (no attitude) with "It's not good, it's cold from me sitting for so long waiting for service"... Oddly enough she didn't say oh we are so sorry you waited so long... She instead turned around and made a laughing comment to her colleagues and seemed irritated. I would have interrupted and said something, however at this point I just wanted my service and just go to home. When she got started on changing my water, the drain did not work on the chair and she started scooping the water out. Oh no, I thought to myself... what is going on? I have already referred people here based on my previous experience. I will do so with caution moving forward as this service was not what it should or could have been. My pedi came out good. 4/5. Let me start by saying, I haven't come here in about a year because of their secret "service fees" they like to tack on at the end. One of the last times I was here they attempted to charge me an additional fee for painting one nail a different color and they wanted to say it was a considered a design. When in reality, they just painted my nails with paint! No swirls, gem stones, words... nothing but nail polish. So today, I decided, I wanted my nails done without any extra fees. So I brought my OWN PAINT, this way, there won't be another petty "using 2 paints" charge. I received a full set of nails. I would usually have them file my nails in a round boxy shape. But this time, I figured I'd let them be completely round. As I'm checking out, I received my bill and it was more than I expected... they charged me for rounding my nails!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS?! Once again, once they put the acrylic on your nails, they have to file your nail anyway!!! I did not think I had to ask if there was an additional charge for filing my nails as I'm getting a full set of acrylic nails. I said it before, but it's definitely time for me to find a new nail home. If anyone has any advice on a nice place to go in Charles County, please reply to this post and share. I really don't like to be taken advantage of. I don't care if it's $1, $5, or $1,000. If they are going to charge more than the normal fee for something, I think it would be a good customer service habit to let the customer know. I was so worried they were going to charge me for the drink they often offer, I even refused that just so I didn't have any problems during my visit. Update June 3rd: of I could give more then 5 stars I would. I woke up this morning and while shampooing my hair one of my nails popped off! Oh no now I have to pay to have it fixed (sadface). I called VSpa and told the receptionist what happened and she asked if I can come by at 12 and if I got my nails done in the last week. I said yes to both and she said "okay see ya at 12". I asked how much it would cost and she said "no charge if it's been less then a week". Danny was fast and efficient just like last time. He wasn't accusatory or rude. He simply asked what happened. The salon was nice but not perfect. Husband and I booked a pedicure and manicure; and I got my eye brows waxed. The lady that waxed my eyebrows was good but the only thing that wasn't pleasant with was that I left sticky. She did wipe my eyebrows off but I was still sticky My husband just got a manicure and his nail tech was watching other people around her and not be attentive to his nails. After it was done he looked at his nails and complained. His nails wasn't cut down nor filed correctly. I got a manicure and pedicure. My pedicure was just ok. The male seemed like he was probably new to the job. He did not scrub my feet because I was informed that I had to do the calluses packet. But I don't have calluses on my feet. Walked in to salon to get SNS service for 1st time 7/5/17. I had few questions regarding gel versus SNS before my service. I had gel on my nails and after thorough explanation from man at front desk, I decided to try SNS. Cindy greeted me and completed my service. It was nice to be offered drink...which was delicious mango/peach...while getting manicure. Cindy was thorough and fast. She did really nice job. It's been little over two weeks and my nails still look good. They are growing so small space at cuticle but not getting the lifting/peeling that I got with gel at this same time frame. This was my second time trying this place and as a walk-in both times. My first visit was ok. They offer you wine and other beverages and the inside is decorated very nicely. My nails came out ok but I wasn't excited about them. My nail tech both times was Nini. This last visit, I went in for a simple gel manicure as a walk-in. It seems, if you don't make an appointment with your favorite tech, she is who you get. And by reading other reviews they seem to have very good techs. She is a darling but not very good at doing a gel manicure and her polishing skills are also not too good. She had to re-do my nails four times because my nails kept dulling. Finally another nail tech walked up to her and they exchanged words, but I didn't understand what he said to her. She then stopped using the top coat she was using and used a different one. Finally some shine but nails were not as smooth as I would've liked them to be. I'm not sure what she used because when I decided to soak them off at home myself which I do often, the polish didn't come off...didn't budge! So, I had to go to another shop to get them removed because I refused to go back to have them remove the work. What makes me more upset, is that I payed full price for the work but I didn't notice my nails had started to dull until the very moment I was getting a receipt. And yes, I complained but no one did anything. I'm sure this place deserves the stars they have, and again, most of their nail techs are probably good. In this case, maybe I caught this one on a bad day both times...I dunno. Decided to have a "Girls Day Out" and treat myself to a mani/pedi. This was my second time here. My first time was okay/average. On this second time My mani was great. However , the pedi was horrible. The nail/spa tech did not take his time to spend on removing the calluses on my feet. I had to instruct him through the whole process. The hot wax and oil only masked and covered the dead skin until I got home and took a shower. Once my feet dried the skin surfaced. I LOVE this place. Service is amazing from the front desk to the nail techs every time I go. I've gone so much now that I do have favorites. Sky and Peter (they sit in the first row as soon as you walk in) are literally PERFECT! And it always is a great feeling when you're sitting in the chair and you feel like your just sitting back having a good time with my friends and not being rushed. Sky did my nails for my wedding this past April and got me out of my comfort zone with a new look that I absolutely loved! I was expecting this place to be packed and rushing through appointments. I was ABSOLUTELY WRONG! I love that they take appointments and stick to them. I made and appointment near closing time because I wanted them to take their time and not try to just take another customer. There were a lot of people in the salon but everyone was serviced. I love that they have more than 3 nail techs. I mean they were fulled staffed of at least 10 nail techs including the front desk assistants and cleaning staff. I probably had the best unrushed, attention to detail, caring pedicure I've had in a LONG time. Angel was my tech and she was so gentle. I can here trying to find a nail shop by my home. I had an appointment with John he was very kind. I had a pedicure and gel manicure. He offered a beverage upon my arrival. Unfortunately the work I got was not the best. The way he painted my nails looks like my nails are already going put. I also had to tell him to double back on my cuticles. I had a ton of dry flaky skin left around my nails. He fixed it with and issue. No when it can to my gel polish he painted so uneven it left streaks in the polish once it dried. The overall experience, customer service, and ambiance was great but the skills of my tech was at a beginner level. I've gone to this spa about 6-7 times over the past 2 years. The service is hit or miss. The only time I've ever been "wowed" was when Peter waxed my eyebrows. The techs are notorious for repeatedly attempting to upsell you to more expensive services. If I decline a service one time, don't ask me if I'm "sure [I] don't want . . . " 3 - 4 more times. I said what I said!! My most recent visit was the last straw. I went for a fill-in (acrylic nails/regular polish) and a pedicure. Bebie, though pleasant in demeanor, did a mediocre job. Her efforts on the pedicure were lackluster, and she rushed through the service. When I went to pay my bill, I was floored to find out their fill-in service had increased to $40.00!!! The last time I went a couple months ago, it was about $23 or $25. (Did I mention this was for acrylic, NOT GEL!) When I questioned the black lady (ultra short blonde hair) about the price she told me they no longer make a distinction between gel and acrylic. I told her, "Well, I make distinctions as to which businesses I patronize and will not be returning to this one." One last thing . . . I observed one of the techs digging through used/discarded toe separators in the basket near the UV light station, picking two out and placing them on a client while I was sitting there. This is unhygienic! The ambience and the iced down, nasty juice don't justify the high prices. (I hope the drinks aren't recycled, too.) Buyer beware! read more

They offer drinks which is a nice touch. The massage chairs are very nice and not broken down like so many other places. Very professional service and I will keep returning.
