This use to be my favorite buffet, but sadly, it has gotten worse throughout the years. Last time I went here, there was a fly at the sushi bar and it ruined my appetite. Their plates also weren't very clean since I saw specks of food on a few of them. However, I do love their food and they are all delicious. They have a variety of food to pick from that can satisfy anybody. The staff is also friendly. Price wasn't too bad either. I would give it five stars if it weren't for how disgusting this place has gotten. Go ahead and visit, but proceed with caution. This place has a ton of food and you can choose whatever drinks you want. But the quality isn't the greatest. I didn't like a majority of what I ate and some of the stuff didn't taste fresh at all. The honey walnut shrimp and the teriyaki chicken were pretty good as well as the clams. Wasn't a fan of the rest. Because it was close to our home ,we went there many times when it was called lucky Buffet. Two of our family members told me they went there a couple of times and things have changed. The price went up but the quality went down when it turned to V Star. My wife and I decided to try it on our own. We found our family members were correct. The quality of the food did go down and the guy at the front counter seemed to have chip on his shoulder . We ate there , the employee were nice but I must admit the food was a bit even below average and some of it was not even warm. My wife and I both agree we will not go back. read more

If you're looking for a good buffet, this is it! For a great price you get a wonderful selection of seafood, American, Chinese, and Mongolian. They keep the food fairly well stocked during peak hours and maintain a clean environment. I recommend going here with friends or family who have big appetites. :) read more

Pretty standard Chinese buffet, which means pretty average. My mom loves the mayonnaise shrimp, and I go for the sushi and salad bar. I was kinda nervous to try the sushi, but it was actually pretty okay. Didn't feel sick after. The rest of the food didn't look that great, so I skipped that. Dad seemed offended about all of it and every time I asked if he found anything he liked, & I got the same look and a "meh" (which I found highly amusing but isn't good) although salad bar is actually pretty okay. Food is excellent, but staff rudely start cleaning up and making lots of noise about 40 minutes before closing. Also, about 15 minutes before closing, they start cleaning the bathrooms, and will completely soak the hallway floor leading to the bathroom making it impossible to use the bathrooms. When you say anything, the response is along the lines of "you can't use the bathroom, because we're cleaning". Remember this if you want to go there, as this has happened to my sister and I more than once. read more

I've been here 4 times maybe more through out years to give it a chance because it's the closest buffet by me. I really really tried to like this place. The crawfish tasted like plastic and the shrimp was under cooked with "bloody" heads. the reason I gave two stars is for the customer service. Every time I went the staff is extremely nice. I don't eat the ice cream because there is a self serve spoon in some water that everyone uses and it seems dirty. I could go on and on. Please save your money and go somewhere else. read more

I have friends (and my husband ) who absolutely love this place. It always smells icky when we go in, and I just am not impressed (sorry, Connie!:))with the flavor of most of the foods. About the only thing I like here is the bok choy, the chicken on a stick, the crab rangoons, and THE COMPANY:) They do have a HUGE selection of all types of foods, many of which I have no idea how they found their way onto a Chinese buffet. I try to avoid this place at all costs, but sometimes I get out voted. read more

I have always come to this buffet even when it was called Lucky Buffet. I went a few days ago with my boyfriend and best friend and it was not great as it was before. Some food was good but some didn't taste like it. At the end my boyfriend went to the bathroom and there was poop all over the bowl. He complained and the manager said we are busy. We have a party of 300 people. Okay I understand that but if you have multiple people working you should check your bathrooms every 30 mins to an hour. We have decided not to come to this place anymore. We are going to find a new buffet to go too. read more

I used to love this place when it was Lucky Buffet. Since the name changed, the food has changed as well. We were there on Saturday and most things were cold. The poached cod (usually delicious) was revolting. The men's room is a complete dump and the smell is horrifying. Sadly, I don't think we'll go back. Makes me sad. read more

Came here with my grand baby and very unsatisfied with this place. A lot of the buffet food was not warm and the worst of the worst this restaurant is very dirty. Been coming here for years and Last time we went was probably our last. Every entrée was cold, which was unappetizing and a little scary to be honest, don't want food poisoning. Don't know if the dishes had been sitting out too long or the warming tables need to be turned up or replaced. Garlic Green Beans? Cold. Fried shrimp? Cold. Indian Chicken? Cold. Broccoli Beef? Cold. Very spooky. This place has a large variety, and while it's a little messy and could use a remodel it was a good place to come one in a while to enjoy the choices and fill up. I like the variety of foods. It's possible for everyone in the group to find something they like. Even the little guy who prefers a diet of French fries and garlic bread is happy. I am constantly annoyed by food choices that are on the steam tables and should meet health department regulations for temperature but are barely warm. I can count on the roasted potato, the corn on the cob, and the egg foo yung to be cold. Most of the other hot foods are warm, at best, unless they were just refilled. As much as I like a few of the food choices, wonton soup, egg drop soup, I'm going to stop going to V Star. The Mongolian grill hasn't reopened which had been a source for a plate of fresh hot food. I don't eat much so quantity doesn't beat quality when I'm deciding where to eat. I also don't eat any seafood or shellfish and many of the guests seem to be there mainly for those items. If you are debating a visit that would be something to consider. read more

I do not recommend this buffet. The food is average, but the ambiance here is unsettling. The tables and cups are sticky and you have to get your own ice cream using disgusting ice cream scoopers, which are "cleaned" in a pool of water that everyone touches and shares. Everything here is old and the bathrooms are sticky and smell like pee. This would be okay, if the food was good, but it isn't. It's a very limited selection, but most importantly is the fact that food is SO OILY. Almost every single food item here is covered in oil, to mask the fact that it is all prepackaged. Sushi here is warm and not fresh. The only thing good I can say is that it is cheap and has average food. read more

This place is incredibly over priced for mediocre food. Our food was cold and tasted like it was stale and had been sitting for hours. Which is weird because the place was packed. Ice cream scoop water was disgusting and not kept up on, kids were sticking there hands in food to grab what they wanted instead of tongs. We asked for a refund and they told us no so we tried a few more things, still awful and didn't even dent our plates. We decided to go and try again! The manager proceeded to argue and raise his voice at us. Saying we already ate the food. We tried to tell him that we went to get a refund and were told no so we tried to look around again to find something and could force ourself to eat it. After him being so rude to us and calling the busser to ask about our plates he finally gave us a half refund back. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! We have been coming to this place for the last 10 years. I remember them, as they were still a small buffet, I think called AAA Buffet. They moved to the current place, which is only across the street from the old one. My grandson and I are regular visitors there. We also bring our family there for a treat now and then. Food is always FRESH, because they have a traffic of customers always coming and coming. And, did I mention, the dishes are GOOD. Many varieties. I love their SUSHI and seafood. I love it all. Always fresh and tasty. The manager is a great man. He went out of his way to accommodate us many times in the last decade. My grandson once craved canned peaches (when he was younger), but there were no peaches on the menu. The manager went to the kitchen and brought a big can of peaches, just for him. The other staff members are always kind and helpful. We always LOVE coming to this place to eat. Highly recommended! read more
