    Tuna bowl
    Sarah J.

I always love poke house for its amazing fresh fish quality and poke sauce. They have a lot of great toopings too. This time, I got too good to go order at 8:45pm with fresh tuna poke over brown rice. It was sooo good and so cheap! I love how this business supports minimizing food waste by having too good to go.

Clean and welcoming shop serving poke and chicken bowls. Big contributor to the Too Good To Go community and locals looking to get good value with their meal, both in amount and quality. Situated in a nicely lit mall during the evenings but quite busy throughout the day due to the many other shops here, Poke House draws in a good crowd looking to satisfy that poke or chicken bowl craving. The parking can be tight and you'll often see people back into the spots nearest the shop entrance. Inside, you'll find a pristine dining and serving area maintained constantly by their staff. The food looks organized and fresh, which is a great sight to see as you walk in starving. Like any standard poke shop, you're going to have a few options here for the size and types of bowls you'll be ordering. You'll be able to choose among their signature raw fish bowls like salmon and tuna but also be able to customize your own bowl with the fixings of your preference. You'll have the option of a few bases including sushi rice, brown rice, spring mixed greens or zucchini noodles. For protein, you'll have the option of salmon (Scottish or spicy miso), tuna (ahi, spicy or garlic oyster), octopus, shrimp, or tofu. And then you'll be able to pile it all up with your mix ins, sauces, and additional toppings. In addition to cold poke bowls, Poke House also serves up hot bowls with crispy shoyu chicken cutlet, roasted chicken or charred salmon as well as hand rolls and soup. The chicken bowls are hefty and pack a good amount of protein and rice - definitely shareable or fit for one very hungry person. The chicken pieces were huge and meaty; the crisp was a thin layer of breading. The staff were friendly and greeted us as we walked in and took our order out. Couldn't ask for a better interaction! Overall, Poke House is popping up in various locations but this one in particular seems to still have that new shop look/smell but operates smoothly like ones that have been around for years. The mall is a bit confined due to the small parking spaces but they're abundant enough to comfortably find a spot. With its proximity to the grocery store, it's convenient as a stop between errands, and with its quick service and pick up, you'll be on the go with a delicious bowl that will certainly fill your stomach and have you belly up on the couch in no time!

Pretty standard practice of poke restaurant by now. I ordered for small bowl, with the base of zucchini noodles, they offered a scoop of the imitation crab meat salad for free. The protein choices are ok but not excessive, good enough for me to choose soy marinated tuna and fresh salmon. But the salmon are not cut out properly, so they were not individual cubes but chunks when I tried to pick them up with chopsticks. Overall food tastes fresh. Veggie and toppings are pretty standard and service was normal. I was not asked about combo or offered water though. They were somewhat busy during weekday lunch hour but not much seated customers.

I built my own bowl and it cost around $17.99. The bowl itself was okay but nothing extraordinary. The place is clean and has indoor seating and a clean bathroom and the workers are friendly.

I used to really like coming to this Poke House location but it seems like the quality control needs some improvement. Seaweed salad costs extra which was odd to me since there's usually no additional charge at other places. A scoop of avocado is $2.50 which is so ridiculous I won't even get into it. But that's not the issue here. I got a medium sized bowl which was $17 - the salmon was actually pretty fresh so no complaints there, but the rice was SO off putting. It was definitely old and I can tell the rice wasn't washed prior to cooking- the outside was hard but inside was super mushy and honestly kind of gross. Otherwise everything else was good, but the experience with the rice is honestly enough for me to not want to come back. With a meal at that price point something as simple as rice should be cooked properly..

I haven't had poke house for a while but I did remember how delicious it was. So I decided to go get a bowl. I got a large bowl to share with my husband and I was pretty excited to eat it but it was so bland. The sushi rice had no flavor which typically sushi rice has rice wine vinegar and sugar. What made it worse is the rest of the toppings didn't even help make it tasting. I got the suggested sauces as well and it did not help. It tasted bland. Both my husband and I were disappointed.

We ordered through Uber. Medium Build Your Own: This came with a promo, so we got a free sushi roll! I loved how much I could customize it. I added tons of toppings, and the container was packed. It was super filling, and for about $20, it was such a great deal. Plus, I had fun rolling the nori on the sushi rolls!

I built my own medium bowl to go

I love this place and how fresh the food is. However, the price went up and sometimes they forget to add the extra dressings I paid for. This is why 4 stars. Please be more attentive :) If you like your bowl towards the sweeter side, I recommend you to add the unagi sauce. I usually build my own bowl: Sushi rice, 2 scoops of regular salmon and 1 scoop of spicy salmon, Edamame, Cucumber, Corn, Crab salad, Unagi sauce (the secret), Furikake and sesame seeds You cannot go wrong with it! Thank me later

    My bowl looks good!

Came here for the first time today and it was tasty! I'm fairly new to poke bowls, so I'm still learning what I like in my bowl. Today I got brown rice, tuna, salmon and tofu. The scoop of crab salad was delicious! I added edamame, mango and a few other things. The sauce was done with a very light hand, I wish it had a bit more sauce (and therefore flavor). But it was nice and filling and very enjoyable! I'd come back again.

yayyyyy, I love me some poke and too good to go!!! I was able to stop by this location due to thanks from the app. They provide a smaller version of the bowl with 1 choice of the poke. They are your classic standard poke spot that provide fresh great quality tasting food in every bite! I personally enjoy the salmon and tuna the best out of all the options. Service is great and all staff who work here are extremely sweet and nice. They have everything ready to go and very helpful and greet you at the door. Not to mention they are located in the rivermark plaza in between few buildings. Thank you SC poke house! Cant wait to see you all again real soon!

Poke house has always been my go to when it comes to fresh poke in the Bay Area. Sadly with everything increasing the prices, fresh poke has definitely sky rocketed with their bowls ranging from S- $15.70, M- $17.95, and L- $20.20. However today I decided to try other options on their menu. What I ordered: Salmon shoyu hand roll (4/5): the portions are huge, I was very skeptical about the portion size in the beginning but they hooked it up. It comes down to $6.25 for a roll which at first I thought was crazy for a traditional hand-roll, but it blew my mind once I saw it. In my honesty it felt like the salmon was really warm and wasn't cold to my liking and I would like my salmon to be a bit more flavorful. Spicy tuna hand roll (5/5): just like the salmon hand roll, I was very impressed by their fish to rice ratio. But with the spicy tuna you can definitely taste more flavor and spice marinated into the tuna. I was really impressed with this one the most out of both of them. Overall, this isn't a bad place to come by for the Poke. I saw their reviews recently and wanted to see for myself. It's safe to say that I still stand by it when I say this place is still my go to for poke. If you're in the area, give this place a try!!

Solid poke. Fresh fish + large variety of toppings + generous portions = full and happy stomach.

Visiting in lunch time and I do like it. Very healthy meal and delicious. I think I will try the white rice next time. Today I chose squash spaghetti to go with my crab and tuna and it was super

I got the large bowl with the soba noodle option (my first time getting it). This was like any other poke places, but the toppings offered were a lot more! I like that they had, mango, pineapple, radish, tomatoes, and chicharrones. And I LOVED that avocado, crab salad, and seaweed salad were already included in the price. I got the last of the soba noodles, so I was surprised that even though it was closing, she went into the back to get me more soba noodles even though it seemed like the amount she had given me was enough. they also allowed however many sauces you wanted to marinate the fish in. I chose unagi, the house sauce and ponzu. I also asked for spicy mayo drizzle at the end. my brother got the wasabi mayo but he said he barely tasted the wasabi when mixed in. total came out to be around $40 for two large bowls. I wasn't sure what I was expecting for the soba noodles, but I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed it. the sauces from the marinade seeped into the noodles gave it a nice light flavor. the fish was fresh and chicharrones were such a good contrast with the crunch (im a huge textures girl). I was able to eat half and and save the other half for lunch the next day. because I got soba noodles, I did not have to worry about heating up rice and separating the fish, so it was perfect. This might be a new way im gonna have to eat my poke from now on!

Price is pretty steep for something like this. The owner or person taking our order seemed like a confident or very straight forward / strong type personality, which I'm fine with because I naturally have a bit of a strong personality as well so it didn't bother me, although it would've been better if he smiled or something so it doesn't seem like he's coming off like a New Yorker. Just sayin. But I also know that he's simply doing his job so it's nothing personal. Anyhow, the food he talked a good game on it being the best in the Bay Area turned out to be quite mid IMPO. The shrimp was 100% overcooked, the side Mac salad was actually *not* good at all and it sucks because that's something I feel like you can't mess up but it was gross unfortunately, I spat it out even tho I hate wasting food. It just didn't taste freshly made whatsoever. The poke bowl wasn't comparable to Hawaii since he mentioned it's just as good... but honestly I think everyone's taste buds are different because to me, the poke bowl was totally mid, but it could taste really good to someone else and that's certainly OK! Also -- I like salty things esp when I crave for it but this was quite heavy on the salt, which made my experience the way it was. Even though it could've been better, I came with no expectations and just wanted to see what the fuss was about. That said, the only thing that was good was the rice cracker snack we bought and that's it. Glad I still gave this place a try, but personally for me, it's definitely my last visit. Maybe I'll come back at an earlier time to get one of their strawberry mochi but other than that, I think I'll rest my case here.
