    Soy Garlic Tuna bowl
    Da Kat A.

This is located at a convenient location in Rivermark plaza with plenty of parking. It's spacious and clean but doesn't have that many tables for dine-in. Service is great. They have plenty of people working behind the counter without any wait. Got the bowl with garlic oyster tuna, however, it doesn't taste that flavorful and fresh. The taste is pretty bland. Not sure how long that's been sitting around. The veggies are fresh. Unfortunately the bowl doesn't taste that flavorful even with two types of sauce. Been to the Mountain View location and got the same bowl. The garlic oyster tuna tasted better and fresher over there.

I always love poke house for its amazing fresh fish quality and poke sauce. They have a lot of great toopings too. This time, I got too good to go order at 8:45pm with fresh tuna poke over brown rice. It was sooo good and so cheap! I love how this business supports minimizing food waste by having too good to go.

Clean and welcoming shop serving poke and chicken bowls. Big contributor to the Too Good To Go community and locals looking to get good value with their meal, both in amount and quality. Situated in a nicely lit mall during the evenings but quite busy throughout the day due to the many other shops here, Poke House draws in a good crowd looking to satisfy that poke or chicken bowl craving. The parking can be tight and you'll often see people back into the spots nearest the shop entrance. Inside, you'll find a pristine dining and serving area maintained constantly by their staff. The food looks organized and fresh, which is a great sight to see as you walk in starving. Like any standard poke shop, you're going to have a few options here for the size and types of bowls you'll be ordering. You'll be able to choose among their signature raw fish bowls like salmon and tuna but also be able to customize your own bowl with the fixings of your preference. You'll have the option of a few bases including sushi rice, brown rice, spring mixed greens or zucchini noodles. For protein, you'll have the option of salmon (Scottish or spicy miso), tuna (ahi, spicy or garlic oyster), octopus, shrimp, or tofu. And then you'll be able to pile it all up with your mix ins, sauces, and additional toppings. In addition to cold poke bowls, Poke House also serves up hot bowls with crispy shoyu chicken cutlet, roasted chicken or charred salmon as well as hand rolls and soup. The chicken bowls are hefty and pack a good amount of protein and rice - definitely shareable or fit for one very hungry person. The chicken pieces were huge and meaty; the crisp was a thin layer of breading. The staff were friendly and greeted us as we walked in and took our order out. Couldn't ask for a better interaction! Overall, Poke House is popping up in various locations but this one in particular seems to still have that new shop look/smell but operates smoothly like ones that have been around for years. The mall is a bit confined due to the small parking spaces but they're abundant enough to comfortably find a spot. With its proximity to the grocery store, it's convenient as a stop between errands, and with its quick service and pick up, you'll be on the go with a delicious bowl that will certainly fill your stomach and have you belly up on the couch in no time!

Pretty standard practice of poke restaurant by now. I ordered for small bowl, with the base of zucchini noodles, they offered a scoop of the imitation crab meat salad for free. The protein choices are ok but not excessive, good enough for me to choose soy marinated tuna and fresh salmon. But the salmon are not cut out properly, so they were not individual cubes but chunks when I tried to pick them up with chopsticks. Overall food tastes fresh. Veggie and toppings are pretty standard and service was normal. I was not asked about combo or offered water though. They were somewhat busy during weekday lunch hour but not much seated customers.

I built my own bowl and it cost around $17.99. The bowl itself was okay but nothing extraordinary. The place is clean and has indoor seating and a clean bathroom and the workers are friendly.

I used to really like coming to this Poke House location but it seems like the quality control needs some improvement. Seaweed salad costs extra which was odd to me since there's usually no additional charge at other places. A scoop of avocado is $2.50 which is so ridiculous I won't even get into it. But that's not the issue here. I got a medium sized bowl which was $17 - the salmon was actually pretty fresh so no complaints there, but the rice was SO off putting. It was definitely old and I can tell the rice wasn't washed prior to cooking- the outside was hard but inside was super mushy and honestly kind of gross. Otherwise everything else was good, but the experience with the rice is honestly enough for me to not want to come back. With a meal at that price point something as simple as rice should be cooked properly..

I built my own medium bowl to go

I love this place and how fresh the food is. However, the price went up and sometimes they forget to add the extra dressings I paid for. This is why 4 stars. Please be more attentive :) If you like your bowl towards the sweeter side, I recommend you to add the unagi sauce. I usually build my own bowl: Sushi rice, 2 scoops of regular salmon and 1 scoop of spicy salmon, Edamame, Cucumber, Corn, Crab salad, Unagi sauce (the secret), Furikake and sesame seeds You cannot go wrong with it! Thank me later

I haven't had poke house for a while but I did remember how delicious it was. So I decided to go get a bowl. I got a large bowl to share with my husband and I was pretty excited to eat it but it was so bland. The sushi rice had no flavor which typically sushi rice has rice wine vinegar and sugar. What made it worse is the rest of the toppings didn't even help make it tasting. I got the suggested sauces as well and it did not help. It tasted bland. Both my husband and I were disappointed.

We ordered through Uber. Medium Build Your Own: This came with a promo, so we got a free sushi roll! I loved how much I could customize it. I added tons of toppings, and the container was packed. It was super filling, and for about $20, it was such a great deal. Plus, I had fun rolling the nori on the sushi rolls!

yayyyyy, I love me some poke and too good to go!!! I was able to stop by this location due to thanks from the app. They provide a smaller version of the bowl with 1 choice of the poke. They are your classic standard poke spot that provide fresh great quality tasting food in every bite! I personally enjoy the salmon and tuna the best out of all the options. Service is great and all staff who work here are extremely sweet and nice. They have everything ready to go and very helpful and greet you at the door. Not to mention they are located in the rivermark plaza in between few buildings. Thank you SC poke house! Cant wait to see you all again real soon!

Came here for the first time today and it was tasty! I'm fairly new to poke bowls, so I'm still learning what I like in my bowl. Today I got brown rice, tuna, salmon and tofu. The scoop of crab salad was delicious! I added edamame, mango and a few other things. The sauce was done with a very light hand, I wish it had a bit more sauce (and therefore flavor). But it was nice and filling and very enjoyable! I'd come back again.

Poke house has always been my go to when it comes to fresh poke in the Bay Area. Sadly with everything increasing the prices, fresh poke has definitely sky rocketed with their bowls ranging from S- $15.70, M- $17.95, and L- $20.20. However today I decided to try other options on their menu. What I ordered: Salmon shoyu hand roll (4/5): the portions are huge, I was very skeptical about the portion size in the beginning but they hooked it up. It comes down to $6.25 for a roll which at first I thought was crazy for a traditional hand-roll, but it blew my mind once I saw it. In my honesty it felt like the salmon was really warm and wasn't cold to my liking and I would like my salmon to be a bit more flavorful. Spicy tuna hand roll (5/5): just like the salmon hand roll, I was very impressed by their fish to rice ratio. But with the spicy tuna you can definitely taste more flavor and spice marinated into the tuna. I was really impressed with this one the most out of both of them. Overall, this isn't a bad place to come by for the Poke. I saw their reviews recently and wanted to see for myself. It's safe to say that I still stand by it when I say this place is still my go to for poke. If you're in the area, give this place a try!!

It is in the general area with Cere Tea and Koi Palace. We arrived around 6PM and were seated immediately. We came for the seafood don and both got the UME with an addition of the ochazuke set. For $26 + 4.5 for the set, I think it's really worth the price and you get a good amount of fresh fish. Each bite felt like I was transported to Japan and eating a Kaisendon. Although we had to wait for a bit for the dashi soup to arrive , it was a delicious end to our meal. So comforting and hearty.

Loved the quaint atmo, dark colors with zen vibes and the small space made me feel like I found a gem in an alley in Japan. Unique menu where they'll do a few fried apps, udon soups where they told me the noodles are homemade. And this rice seafood bowl where minced up tuna and other sushi ingredients are all in one bowl. I've had chirashi hundreds of times but I've never had a bowl quite like this...so I had to give it a whirl. Take Bowl ($33/4*) So this gets presented in a very Japanese fashion. On a tray with a decorative ceramic bowl containing the seafood and rice, a matching ceramic bottle of homemade soy sauce, a pickled cabbage side and a nice big wooden spoon. In that bowl is a base of warm plain short grain rice, topped with a generous mound of minced raw tuna, a little snow crab, a few chunks of raw scallop and this particular version has a ton of salmon roe. It is garnished with a small nori sheet, some scallions, pickled ginger and wasabi. So very familiar ingredients if you're a fan of sushi, but the experience is one I can say I've never done. Menu says to first make your own hand roll with that nori sheet, stuff it to your hearts content. Once that's done you can eat the bowl as you wish. Hopefully with a dousing of the soy/wasabi combo as the minced fish is completely plain, no seasoning. I kinda mixed the seafood mixture into the rice a bit, not sure if that's the move. Now here's my take on this new way to eat sushi ingredients. I liked it but I didn't love it. I think I would much rather just eat a chirashi or a tartare prep from a sushi chef, as those have texture and flavor added by a chef. Here you have to do everything yourself and often there can be a learning curve to the new experience. Like I had to add the soy/wasabi mix several times, as I just couldn't figure out the right amount as their soy sauce is much less salty than commercial versions. And I was too concerned on not going overboard and ruining my bowl, so I was doing it in a very cautious but cumbersome manner. Also since everything was so minced up, the overall texture is very one note, soft and mushy. At least with a chirashi you can sense each fish's firmness and unique texture. Here the chopped tuna, chopped scallop and shredded crab are all soft, and with the soft rice, was just a mush fest for me. There were small hunks of cucumber and pickled lotus root that gave little hits of crunch, but still not enough for me. I will say the seafood is very fresh and in good portioning. Fried Squid Legs ($4.50/4*) Very small skewer of trimmed up calamari tentacles fried tempura style. The fry is very light. The tentacles remain quite tender yet with a slight chew. But the crispness was minimized by the light fry. Still decent with the cold seafood bowl, to go back and forth on the bites. I'd still come back to try those homemade udon noodles, now that I've knocked out their seafood bowl. Give me an adventure and I'll delve right in. Thanks Yaichi for providing such an adventure.

I didn't know that you could call for a reservation, or get on their waitlist with Yelp. I was going to do my order to go, when I was asked if I wouldn't mind sitting at the bar. Not at all. I was seated right away, and I was helped by Allison, who was also tending bar. She was a very nice lady, and she took very good care of me. The restaurant has. A nautical theme to it. I decided to go with the Cajun chowder, and the softshell crab po' boy. . My food comes quickly, and the order was huge! It was a very good, rich chowder, with just a tiny bit of a "zip" from the Cajun spices. They definitely gave it a good flavor. There were lots of goodies inside. The one thing about the chowder, was they didn't take out the bay leaves, and I did get a couple.. I just put them off to the side. I'm not going to take off a star, because the chowder was so good. Hey, It happens.... The po' boy was huge! The softshell crab was not over breaded. I could taste the crab with no problem, and it was a little bit sweet, a little bit savory, with that wonderful "crabby" flavor. The roll was a soft roll, , but it still held up to the sandwich extremely well The lettuce, and tomato were crisp and fresh . The Cajun fries, had a little bit of a zip to them, but not too much. they came with ketchup, and their house Cajun sauce. I didn't even touch the ketchup. The sandwich already had some Cajun sauce on it, I put a little bit more. The rest, I used to dip the fries. I only made it halfway through the sandwich, and the fries. The rest came back to my room with me for another great meal. I also got another little "tub" of that sauce to take with me. The entire time, Alison was so personable, , we chatted a little bit about this and that... She is definitely an asset to that restaurant. (Tell her boss to give her a raise...:). The price was extremely reasonable for such a wonderful meal, and they also have a military/veterans discount this was such a great meal, I would gladly come back here again. Thank you so very much

The corn tasted old, the shrimp and snow crab didn't taste fresh, and the snow crab clusters had barely any meat. By the time I cracked everything open, it felt like there was more shell than seafood. The mussel shells even had barnacles on them, which I've never seen here before. It made the seafood feel like it hadn't been cleaned as well as it should have. The garlic fries were crispy, but that's it. It was weird--I could see the garlic and was literally eating it, yet there was no garlic flavor. The garlic noodles used to be one of my favorite items because they were bold and packed with garlic. Now they've definitely toned the flavor down, and they're just not the same anymore. It's honestly disappointing because this place used to be one of my favorite seafood spots. The food quality has clearly declined while the prices have continued to go up.
