Great kabobs. I would probably give it 5 stars if the open kitchen area was clean. It's pretty much a mess. But within that mess comes some amazing food. Some kabob lovers don't like the little bit of extra spice Food Corner Kabob applies. Me? I love it. The pumpkin and chick pea sides are the best. Plus, I highly recommend getting an extra side of the green (hot) and white (yogurt) sauces. Great to dip the meat and bread into. I've been going back for more for 7+ years! read more

I love this place, I go there at least once a week. Great food at a great price, never a wait. Unlike a lot of kabob places, this one has several vegetable dishes as well as meats. I can't leave without getting the eggplant. They also have a fantastic grilled salmon kabob. Definitely try the green and white sauces, they are super tasty. My co-worker wanted a gyro, so we found this place. The food was good, however, the owner was so friendly and had a such a great personality I felt I was visiting a family member. He gave everyone a cup of his home made soup which was great. I am definitely going here more often. read more

I've been coming here for over 15 years... primarily because annandale has gotten rid of every quality food place and put up Korean bbqs on every corner. Pros: very good hospitality. Free soup while waiting for your entree. The kabobs are well seasoned, the salad has a nice greek dressing and the bread is made fresh. Sides are also tasty. Cons: EXPENSIVE AF!! ridiculous, when compared to any reputable kabob place in the area. I bought a combo kabob (4 cubes of chicken, 4 cubes of beef) for just under $16. OUTRAGEOUS, when I first came here as a teenager kabobs were like 9 bucks. They've almost doubled in price, with the quantity shrinking. Also this is the only damn place that charges you for the tzaziki sauce (white yogurt sauce). 0.75 cents? Really?! And it's in a tiny ass container.. the only place that charges for sauce is McDonald's... you should at least be entitled to ONE free white sauce, it's ridiculous... for $16 dollars I could buy a 14oz choice cut ribeye at any butcher shop. This is highway robbery and I wish they changed their prices. They're at least $4 more expensive than most kabob places and you get wayyyyy less food. You get ONE puny scoop of rice, and a "salad" which usually comes with one tomato if you're lucky and 2 onion slices filled 8 ice berg lettuce chunks. But you can eat it in one bite.. either they give MORE food or lower their cost. read more

So I ordered the kabide (Beef) and the chicken kabob to go. The beef wasn't good. It was dry and didn't taste good. The chicken is definitely the best between the two. You can also order a side that comes with the food. My favorite side is the chicken side. Highly recommend. read more

Wow ,so glad that the trusted Yelp has did it again. I had eaten at the Tysons location but Yelp help me find this location and its closer to where I live but the best part is that its even better tasting than the Tysons location. Supposedly the meats are cooked over charcoal here vs gas so it had more taste. Menu and prices are all the same. I had the chicken and beef sharmi kabob, with chickpeas over the rice. DELISH! I also asked to the try the cauliflower and eggplant sides and both were great. Definitely a return for me. read more

Chicken and Salmon kabob are awesome. The Annandale locale is my particular fav in the chain.

My 2nd kabob experience. Very yummy in my tummy, but it does have its high and lows. Portions have decreased(- lamb = sad). The brown rice is fantastic but sometimes they either got it or don't. Chick peas are my actual favorite but there to shy with it. The Green sauce is like a flavored roller coaster. At times its perfect and other days its to damn spicy. I think they should have only opened a few stores and still focus on this one because its starting to fall. read more

I was in the area and stopped by for lunch based on Yelp reviews. I was not disappointed. Delicious food and great service. I had the lamb kabob salad which was chopped iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, bell peppers, sliced red onion, 5 lovely pieces of well seasoned and perfectly cooked, tender lamb, and 2 cubes of feta cheese in a light Italian style dressing. Served with a large piece of whole wheat flat bread and delicious, fresh tadziki sauce. The free soup was absolutely delicious while I waited and I also enjoyed the free hot tea with ginger and cardamom after my meal (serve yourself). Those who were getting kebabs with rice were happily surprised to hear that brown rice was an option. I'll definitely be back for the fresh, tasty food and friendly service. read more

I've been going here since I was a kid. I'm Afghan and this is some of the best tasting Afghan "street" food you will find....I think everyone can agree street food is always the best food. The food has flavor and the rice is not hard. Their portions are big but if you dine in regularly and then take out one day you might be disappointed in what will seem like a slightly smaller meal...still pretty big though - I always have leftovers. My favs are the afghan gyro platter and the shami kabob. My mom loves their chopan kabob and my husbands favorite is their lamb kabob. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the place could really use some revamping. read more

Wow, can't believe the myriad of negative reviews here. The first time I stopped into this place I enjoyed the food immensely. The place was relatively clean, portions were large, and honestly the BEST kabobs I've tried in the DMV (even better than that place near DCA, wink wink). So I decided to give it a try once again and was blown away even more. Came in the evening and I was the only person there. I once again got the chicken kabob platter that comes with a delicious salad, afghan bread, rice (highly aromatic and flavorful), and this time potatoes on the side (good). It took about 10 minutes or so since they prepare it fresh. The chicken is sumptuous and they add the perfect seasonings and onions to it. Service was good and the folks there are friendly. This in my opinion is the best Afghan place in the area. Highly recommend and can't wait to try their other meats and dishes. read more

Total hidden gem. Tucked away in an awkwardly designed strip mall, you won't see it from the road, but it's worth seeking out. The food is amazing. Kebabs are perfect, sides are good, the atmosphere seems very authentic, kind of a hole in the wall type place like you might actually find in Cairo. Disclaimer: I used to eat at the Food Corner in Centreville and it was great. Both my husband and I loved getting take out there. So, naturally, when we moved closer to Springfield, we were excited to try out the food here. Honestly, it was terrible. The quality of their kabobs, bread, and rice has gone down tremendously. They now give you gross qabli palau which tastes sweet instead of the plain brown rice they used to. Their bread was hard and the kabobs were dry and had no taste. I was disappointed overall. Loved this place and have been going for more than 10 years. Recently however, I went in with my kids and really had a terrible experience. I usually sit by door but this time, I decided to sit over on the other side by the window. My daughter pointed out something that actually made me almost throw up. There were bugs. Dead ones. Hundreds maybe. I was so disgusted I had to leave. But I wanted to let the owner know. It's under a neon sign, I'm sure attracting a lot of them, but the question then comes up- HOW do they not notice this!? How can a human being even think this is acceptable? This is not only a restaurant, but a professional business. Just the simple fact that it was that dirty, confirms how long it's been since the place was even cleaned properly. Just so sad. It gets better. You pay after you eat. When I went up to do so, the owner charged me $10 + for a plate of rice and a tiny side dish of chicken curry. (Which is what it comes in anyway if you order it "on the side") I was so annoyed at this point with the other crap- I literally went back in to confront him. Immediately, he became extremely defensive, rude and wouldn't let me speak at all. He proceeded to tell me that he didn't charge me for anything that wasn't on the menu. He never gave me what I asked for anyway. Then showed me the menu which in fact, did not have one of the things I ordered on there. But that was impossible to explain because he was so rude and loud...screaming at me, that I couldn't even speak. If you're going to be charging people extra, you AT THE LEAST need to inform them before doing so. That's just a good business practice. The food has become less. The prices, ridiculous. It's unfortunate that a someone like that, who's been a local for many years, treats paying customers like such crap. We will never- ever go back again. read more

Whenever I crave Kabob, I almost always go to Food Corner Kabob House! They're combos are usually less than $11, but they come with a lot of food!! I usually get the lamb & beef kabobs with sides of chick peas and chicken curry. I was told by a lot of people that the spinach was really good. I tried it but definitely not one of my favorites, but that's probably because I'm not a big fan of spinach to begin with. I also love their naan!
