I came here a couple of times. The second time was better than the first. We came here for a happy hour. We ordered a few items off the bar bites menu. And we sat at the bar, because that is where HH is located. Sadly, the deals and pricing was on point, but the food was just subpar. The cheeseburger meat was just bland. The meatballs were better than the burger meat, but also pretty bland - I think the red sauce helped it a little but it was the same sauce for the meatballs and the fried cheese dipping sauce. The fried cheese was pretty good. And I felt the French fries were nice and crispy, right amount of salt, tasty. I expected meat to taste good in a steak house though. I ordered a drink, a well drink, I asked the bar tender if she could make a rum type punch with the well. She said she had a great recipe, but it also fell flat. Now, I gave them another shot and came during the Girl Dinner special which is a Wednesday night special where you get an espresso martini, salad, and crab ball for like $20. I have to say, IT ALL WAS TASTY! The waitress told us the salad dressing is homemade, and my gosh, I do still think about that dressing! I really liked the crab cake too, much better the apps from the happy hour menu I had. And that espresso martini, chefs kiss! I really hope this Girl Dinner Special does not go away, because it is something of greatness! The parking is ok, be aware it is a small lot and there will towers coming to get you. 10/10! I've been wanting to try Vacca for some time now and finally made it for happy hour, sitting at the bar and it was an amazing experience. Everything was great from start to finish: the food, drinks, service, and ambiance. I ordered a blackberry martini (not on the menu) and had two, they were strong and flavorful. I also had the steak burger with fries and added a side of onion rings. Everything was delicious. My cousin ordered the crab cakes and chopped salad and said both were really good as well. They offer daily specials and a solid happy hour. I'm especially looking forward to going back for their $1 martinis on Fridays and $5 cocktails on Mondays. The portions were generous and I even have lunch for tomorrow. Can't wait to return! read more

Nice spot! Pricey but nice! Great service. Ambiance is nice and sexy. Good deal on Thursday donate night, you get two steaks & two sides & two glasses of wine for $150. Brunch is also nice. I've had the filet...and the lobster Benedict. My only qualm is the amount of black pepper they use. It's overly used in my opinion. But the food seasoned well in general. Aside from it being in a strip mall and being labeled as fine dining (which threw me off) it was ok. It was freezing in there which made me not want to be there too long. We got the calamari to start, it was flavorless, there was no seasoning at all. I got the shrimp fra diavolo which was pretty good with nice size shrimp. The hubs got the surf and turf and asparagus. Service started out great. Ordered crab cakes, filet, a few sides, and cocktails. Crab cakes were really good! Filet was typical filet. Sides ordered baked onions, which were good and lyonnaise potatoes, which were also good, very garlicky. After we got our food, never really had interaction with the waitress again. Finished dinner and drinks and would have loved more drinks but no one came back. We sat at a table in the bar and they all seemed to get ignored. The people sitting at the bar got all the attention. No steak sauce required -- this one stood on its own. The crabcake was equally impressive -- all lump crab, barely any filler, with that golden sear that gives just the right crunch before melting into sweet, juicy crab. It was easy to make a reservation. Restaurant team from host, bartender, servers to chef were all accommodating, service was on point. We went on a Monday night they do a surf and turf special. Food was excellent from cocktails, apps to entrees. The restaurant is spacious and nicely decorated. Tens all around. Highly recommend for happy hour and large parties. The marinara sauce needs a little bit of tweaking to give it a more Italian flavor. Don't come here if you're looking for a quick meal. Everything is made to order. The Ceasar salad was really great. I've been really looking forward to checking out Vacca, but it just fell short. We went at lunch with a large group, and the staff was very attentive. However, they weren't especially welcoming and there were only a couple other tables in the dining room the entire time we were there which was over two hours... quite a bit longer than our lunch break. The crab cake appetizer was very good but on the small side. The onion rings were extra large and crispy. I looked at the menu prior to going and was really in the mood for the french onion soup which our server recommended as the best in Metairie - but it sadly had no flavor. I took a couple bites and moved on. I got the chopped salad with Salmon and Shrimp. The salmon was cooked perfectly and had a lot of flavor. Shrimp was a little overcooked. Damien our server was helpful and attentive. My martini was made correctly, but the gentlemen I was with ordered old-fashions and neither one of them liked them. The stuffed mushroom appetizer and Caesar salad were nice. My husband had the shrimp Diavolo and enjoyed it. It's giving hidden gem in Metairie. The dining room was cute and cozy with the neon red lights around the bar and black walls and trim. Our server was very attentive. She noted our notes in the reservation (we were celebrating our Aunts birthday) on open table AND looked at our profile and noticed our anniversary was a few days away! That is top notch. We enjoyed the calamari for an appetizer, shared the porterhouse and filet with steamed broccoli, asparagus, and potatoes au gratin. The plates came sizzling hot with parsley butter spread around. The steaks were seasoned well and the meat was tender. For a birthday celebration they brought out three chocolate chip cookies and a cup of milk with a candle. This place is located at Severn Ave, Metairie which is close to Lakeside mall. Just newly opened Steakhouse like a week ago so must checkout this spot. Very nice and warm decor with a wonderful bar and pretty bartenders. FOOD & BEVERAGE was excellent everything is made from scratch as you can taste and every plate is piping hot if its a hot food. The only thing need to know steaks does not come with sides as you can order sides seperately and they have more than 10 sides options for $14 each. Cocktails were cold and refreshing came out quick, as the restaurant is not that big you can see your drinks made by bartender. SERVICE- excellent service by my server Mr dupe who explained the food from appetizers to wine even maincourse and desserts as the menu offers a nice options and its hard to decide what to choose from. ATMOSPHERE & DECOR- Quiet and well maintained, warm and cozy decor with white table cloth and black napkins. NOTE- the restaurant does not offer bread service yet so if you are a type of person looking for a bread when u get sat you might keep starving, Free parking outside available but its limited. First things first... Having been a Peppermill customer for years, I am so impressed with the transformation of the space. Vacca is chicly decorated, and is perfect for a date night, business get together, or even a nice, family meal. We met some friends here, and it was a first visit for all. I ordered the Bramble On from the specialty cocktail menu to kick off our time, and mentioned that I was excited about the muddled blackberries. Our server informed me that blackberries weren't available, so blueberries would be subbed. I was fine with that. When my drink arrived, I was a little saddened to find no muddled fruit at all. I asked the server about this, and she explained that there was muddled fruit, but you just couldn't see it. Huh? She said the blueberries were definitely there, just in juice form. Again, huh? I asked for blueberries as I certainly didn't feel like $16 for a drink with muddled fruit was fair if there was no muddled fruit in the drink. She brought me a toothpick that was threaded with three, very tiny blueberries. I was not impressed. We ordered the fried cheese and oysters Severn as our apps. The fried cheese was just that. Fried cheese with marinara. It was fine, but no better or worse than fried mozzarella I've had anywhere else. I'm not mad at it, just not writing home about it either. The oysters Severn is a dish I can definitely get behind. It was flavorful and the oysters were perfectly fried. This one deserves a moment. Now for the REALLY good stuff. I wasn't in the mood for a steak, so I went with the burger. Y'all - it was fantastic! The beef was top quality, it was cooked perfectly to order, and the toppings were piled high. I'm so glad it was cut in half, because a half was all I could tackle. My husband had a filet, and again, perfection. Perfectly cooked, and melt in your mouth tender. I can't forget to mention the fries that came with my burger or the mushrooms the hubs ordered as his side. Both were fantastic. The service was exceptional, and I greatly appreciate the purse tree. I hate putting my bag on the floor, not because I don't want it to get dirty, but because I am extremely clumsy and there's always a chance I'll trip over it at some point. Very plump and the bacon was so smoky and rich. The pairing was a party for my tastebuds! We then had to do the french onion soup. We are pretty picky about our french onion soup and this one was super rich, dark, cheesy and made with white wine. It was def among the top 3. I ordered the petit filet and my husband ordered the scallop with pepper jelly special. Both were pretty tasty. Service was friendly and attentive. Delicious! The place is a little small and the back room can get pretty loud but the food makes up for that!
